About The Company
goop is a lifestyle platform dedicated to exploration, curation, and groundbreaking conversation. From its award-winning beauty and fashion lines to its expansive editorial lens, goop invites women to embrace the process of becoming, and to discover deep joy in the pursuit of pleasure, beauty, and growth in all phases of life.
Gwyneth Paltrow began goop in the fall of 2008 as a weekly newsletter. It has expanded into a beauty, fashion, and food business that’s also known for its products, curation, podcast, TV shows, live events, and retail stores.
About You
You operate in founder mode: high agency, high EQ, and razor-sharp instincts. You read the room quickly, sense what's needed before you're asked, and move on it. You are a thoughtful and proactive strategic partner who excels at aligning teams, priorities, and communication — equally comfortable zooming out to understand company-wide operations and strategy, and diving in to drive execution on critical initiatives.
This role represents the Co-CEOs' interests across three worlds: goop's business (beauty & fashion), Gwyneth's media presence, and investment interests. You move fluidly between them, often within the same day.
You are AI-first and AI-native. You don't wait for someone else to build the tool — you build it yourself: standing up Notion dashboards, wiring together plugins and AI agents, and turning no-code experiments into real operational workflows for the Co-CEOs and executive team. With strong communication instincts and sound judgment, you navigate senior stakeholders with confidence and help ensure clarity, alignment, and momentum across the organization.
Who You Are
Founder-mode operator — high agency and an ability to act on instinct, before being asked
Context-switcher — comfortable moving between all three worlds in the same day
Exceptional communicator — confident and clear across formats and audiences
Operational powerhouse — you drive structure, efficiency, and accountability in fast-moving, complex environments
Sharp writer and researcher — you produce clean, efficient memos, updates, and diligence work that get straight to the point, no fluff
Highly collaborative with a good sense of humor — you stay warm, steady, and easy to work with under pressure
Highly trustworthy and discreet — you'll handle sensitive information and critical relationships
Action-oriented leader — you don't just advise; you own and drive results
How You Operate
You operate in full alignment with the Co-CEOs' thinking — when you speak on their behalf, you speak with clarity and conviction, and you recalibrate fast when something's off
You extend the Co-CEOs' reach: proactively managing every relationship that matters
You communicate early and often — proactive updates are the default, not the exception
You're warm and honest — you handle direct communication well and don't avoid hard conversations
You assume good intent and offer people the benefit of the doubt — and expect the same in return
You understand that small gestures, done right, build long-term trust and relationship equity
About the Role
The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner to goop's Co-CEOs and executive team, driving strategic alignment, execution, and communication across the organization. This role reports directly to the Co-CEOs, representing their interests across three worlds: goop's business (beauty & fashion), Gwyneth's media presence, and investment interests — working across time zones with global, cross-functional teams. The Chief of Staff must be able to shift context across these worlds multiple times in a single day without losing focus or dropping a thread, and ensures the Co-CEOs' priorities are clearly translated into action across each of them — supporting effective executive operations and helping shape company-wide operations, communication, and culture — while owning a high volume of board, portfolio, and investment work across the business.
CO-CEO PARTNERSHIP & STRATEGIC SUPPORT
Ensure the Co-CEOs' priorities are clearly communicated across the organization and support the Co-CEOs in driving execution by direct reports and cross-functional teams
Act as gatekeeper — knowing when to filter and when to let things flow directly — and, as requested by the Co-CEOs, serve as proxy in key meetings, synthesizing, summarizing, and relaying critical insights to inform decision-making
Field, review, prioritize, and, where appropriate, respond to incoming requests, proposals, and opportunities directed to the Co-CEOs
Work closely with the Co-CEOs' Executive Assistant(s) to communicate and sequence priorities, manage scheduling trade-offs, and optimize the Co-CEOs' time and focus — across time zones as needed
Prepare executive-ready briefings, memos, and presentations — equipping the Co-CEOs with the context, data, and materials needed for internal, board, and external engagements
Shape how the Co-CEOs represent the company's strategy and brand to internal teams, the board, media, and external partners
Collaborate with the social media team to execute the Co-CEOs' personal social presence across channels, ensuring authenticity, alignment with brand values, and consistency with their voice
Partner with the Head of Communications to prepare the Co-CEOs for media appearances and public engagements — building background materials, researching attendees and guests, and managing protocol
Coordination with podcast production team, as needed
AI-ENABLED OPERATIONS & SYSTEMS
Design, build, and maintain AI-driven systems — including a Co-CEO-facing Notion dashboard layered with plugins and AI agents — serving as the single source of truth for real-time visibility into priorities, decisions, and follow-ups across all three worlds
Continuously explore and test new AI tools, plugins, and agents, turning promising ones into practical, repeatable workflows for the Co-CEOs and executive team
Partner with cross-functional teams to spot operational bottlenecks and solve them with AI-driven automation and internal tooling
Monitor the performance of AI-driven workflows and iterate for continual improvement
Build documentation and best practices for AI-enabled operations so tools and workflows scale and transfer beyond any one person
EXECUTIVE TEAM LEADERSHIP & STRATEGIC OPERATIONS
Lead and facilitate weekly executive team meetings, including setting clear agendas, driving accountability, and ensuring timely follow-through on action items
Meet regularly with senior subject-matter leaders to align on priorities, share Co-CEO context, and ensure cross-functional clarity and collaboration
Serve as a trusted strategic partner to every department head — not just the C-suite — translating the Co-CEOs' priorities into function-specific plans and holding cross-functional teams accountable to them
Facilitate alignment and communication between the Co-CEOs and direct reports to accelerate decision-making and maintain organizational focus
Partner with executive leaders to develop OKRs and track execution against strategic priorities
Act as lead strategic project manager on key cross-functional initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, timelines, and outcomes
When requested by the Co-CEOs or other executives, contribute to strategic discussions by providing context and insights that reflect Co-CEO and company priorities
Capture notes and action items during board and offsite sessions; track follow-ups and ensure accountability across functional leaders
Own ambiguous, high-priority special projects that don't have a clear owner — from research sprints to one-off initiatives — and see them through to completion
COMPANY-WIDE COMMUNICATION & CULTURE
Shape Co-CEO-led communications for all-company meetings and standups, ensuring alignment with the company's values, strategy, and priorities
Partner with the People team to develop monthly standup agendas, coordinating with functional leaders to highlight key initiatives and ensure diverse team representation
Partner cross-functionally to source, edit, and align content for company-wide meetings — overseeing slide development and deck design to ensure clarity, consistency, and on-brand voice
Prepare the Co-CEOs' talking points and visual aids to support effective delivery and high employee engagement
Coordinate logistics and production details to ensure seamless execution of company-wide meetings and events
BOARD, PORTFOLIO & INVESTMENT SUPPORT
Drive preparation and execution for quarterly board meetings, including cross-functional coordination for content collection, synthesis, and development of board-ready materials
Own end-to-end development of board decks, board presentations, and corporate executive presentations — content, synthesis, and design — ensuring materials are polished and aligned with strategic priorities across goop and goop beauty
Build and manage corporate agendas across the business, from executive offsites to board sessions to company-wide meetings
Partner with the Co-CEOs and executive team to ensure board discussions and materials are aligned with key strategic priorities and business performance
Design and execute off-site retreats — from agenda architecture that balances strategic discussion, business planning, and team-building, to logistics and follow-through on action items
Support portfolio management and investment-related workstreams — tracking opportunities, coordinating diligence, and keeping materials current across goop, goop beauty, and Gwyneth's broader investment activities
Partner closely with Corporate Development on deal flow, diligence, and new investment or partnership opportunities
Collaborate with the Co-CEOs' Executive Assistant(s) on logistics and scheduling, while leading content flow, sequencing, and communication of expectations to the executive tea.
Coordinate cross-functional contributors and external facilitators to deliver impactful sessions that advance company goals
CROSS-PORTFOLIO RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Manage the CRM and contact records — keeping them accurate, deduplicated, and consistently structured (you don't need to build the CRM, but you own how well it runs)
Track engagement and relationship health across investors, board members, founders, and key partners — flagging relationships before they go cold
Run periodic audits across relationships and initiatives to surface what needs re-engagement, escalation, or a decision from the Co-CEOs
Act as the connective tissue across Gwyneth's world — the person who always knows what's happening across all three worlds, and can brief the Co-CEOs on any of them at a moment's notice
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 3–5 years of business experience, at least 2 years working directly with C-level executives; experience with consumer goods strongly preferred.
Leadership: Proven ability to drive executive programs and high-level strategic initiatives cross-functionally.
Technical Skills: Strong experience with Microsoft suite and data analytics tools. AI-native and fluent with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Notion, Asana, G-Suite, and Airtable, with hands-on experience building and maintaining Notion boards, databases, dashboards, plugins, AI agents, and no-code automations (e.g., Zapier). Experience managing CRM systems and contact records (accuracy, deduplication, structure).
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business required.
Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen, and the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment. Comfortable with direct communication, ambiguity, and rapid iteration, and experienced working across time zones with global, cross-functional teams.

Gwyneth Paltrow began goop in the fall of 2008 as a weekly newsletter. It has expanded into a beauty, fashion, and food business that’s also known for its products, curation, podcast, TV shows, live events, and retail stores.
About You
You are a seasoned dealmaker who thrives at the intersection of brand, commerce, and culture. You've operated on both sides of the table, and you know the difference between a deal that looks good on paper and one that actually works once you run the waterfall. You love a startup environment and operate as a true generalist, equally comfortable building a valuation model, drafting a term sheet, or building the Notion template that makes the next deal faster. Your primary function is supporting goop's Co-CEOs across corporate matters, leases, licensing deals, and large strategic deals. You have an entrepreneur's or intrapreneur's instincts: high ownership, high urgency, and a builder's mentality, thriving in an organization that is in active build mode, with new product lines, channels, and categories, and a steady flow of partnership and investment activity. You're a business person first: an MBA mindset and a background in corporate affairs, business affairs, corporate development, or investment banking is exactly the kind of pedigree we're looking for. You're fluent in Finance and Legal, internal counsel and outside counsel alike, and you move deals through redlines, diligence, and signature without losing momentum or leverage. You operate in founder mode — high-agency, low-ego, allergic to bureaucracy, and energized by ambiguity rather than slowed by it. You have high EQ, razor-sharp instincts, and a genuine passion for wellness, beauty, and the way goop shows up in the world.
About the Role
The goop ecosystem spans goop, Goop Beauty, GWYN, and Gwyneth's personal ventures, across media, tech, CPG, brand, and fashion. The Senior Director, Corporate Business Development works alongside the Co-CEOs on goop's most important corporate matters, leases, licensing deals, and large strategic deals — evaluating new business channels and negotiating in and out of deals across the organization. This is a hands-on role: drafting term sheets, building budgets and waterfall models, and running analysis and diligence so every deal has the structure, documentation, and follow-through behind it. As goop's legal function evolves, this role also takes on greater ownership of deal-specific legal coordination, partnering closely with outside counsel on governance and complex terms so nothing falls through the cracks. This person operates with a high degree of autonomy and real ownership over execution — a trusted extension of the Co-CEOs' capacity to build and grow the business — with a clear path to VP as scope and trust grow.
Key Responsibilities
Work alongside the Co-CEOs as the day-to-day point of contact on corporate matters, leases, licensing deals, and large strategic deals — executing, managing, marshaling, auditing, and evaluating opportunities.
Source and structure partnerships aligned with goop's revenue and growth objectives — brand collaborations, licensing, content distribution, co-branded commerce, and deficit financing structures.
Draft and negotiate deals end to end, from initial terms through definitive agreement — structuring sophisticated commercial and investment terms including royalty structures, profit waterfalls, earn-outs, equity structures, and joint venture agreements.
Build the financial models and budgets that underpin every deal — valuation, scenario analysis, cap tables, and waterfall models — to inform decisions and support executive and board review.
Distill complex deals into a few clear slides — sharp analysis and a tight narrative focused on what matters for the decision.
Evaluate new business channels and strategic acquisition, investment, and joint venture opportunities that extend goop's reach in wellness, beauty, and lifestyle across goop, Goop Beauty, and GWYN.
Run due diligence on active deals, coordinating Finance, internal Legal, and outside counsel on strategic fit, financial impact, and risk.
Serve as the connective tissue between the business, Finance, and Legal — driving term sheet redlines, deal documentation, and closing checklists to signature.
Build and maintain deal systems — templates, trackers, redline logs, and a tiered legal-review process (full legal review vs. business sign-off) — and keep them living as company standard in Notion.
Run partnership operating rhythm and governance on the Co-CEOs' behalf — check-ins, steering conversations, and executive briefings.
Own KPI tracking and reporting on the partnership portfolio — revenue, adoption, and partner health — for the Co-CEOs and board.
Manage a high-volume partnership pipeline, prioritizing time-sensitive deals as they come in.
Build and invest in your network of bankers, agents, licensors, and platform partners well ahead of when you need it, and activate those relationships when a deal is on the line.
Partner closely with Gwyn, the Co-CEOs, and cross-functional teams on new content, licensing, and commerce packages across media, tech, CPG, brand, and fashion.
Lead post-deal integration to ensure deals are executed against agreed objectives and deliver intended value.
Collaborate with brand leadership to guide external positioning strategies in support of business development goals.
Manage company risk thoughtfully while balancing growth, and drive consensus as deal terms are finalized.
Prep and protect the Co-CEOs' time: arrive at every meeting with the analysis, options, and recommendation already done.
Represent goop at external conferences and industry events, and handle confidential deal information with discretion.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, business affairs, corporate affairs, or strategic partnerships — ideally within wellness, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer media. MBA strongly preferred.
Proven track record sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value deals across the full transaction lifecycle.
Deep fluency in deal mechanics — the term sheets, cap tables, waterfalls, and earn-out/joint-venture structures described above.
Strong financial acumen, including hands-on experience building financial models, valuations, and scenario analyses that hold up under executive and board scrutiny.
Sound judgment on business strategy versus over-lawyering, and an excellent working relationship with external corporate counsel.
Experience running due diligence processes end to end, as described above.
Reads the room and values relationships: deep relationships across brand, retail, platform, and media, with a natural instinct for building and maintaining a network before you need it.
Comfortable in a lean, startup environment: a true generalist who works with a high degree of autonomy and doesn't need a lot of hand-holding.
Process-, template-, and systems-minded: builds and maintains the trackers, templates, and repeatable systems that make every subsequent deal faster and cleaner.
Entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial mindset: ownership, urgency, and a builder's mentality, whether as a founder or as the person inside a larger organization who acts like one.
Sharp, efficient communicator: known for boiling complex analysis down to a handful of slides, and for knowing exactly what to leave out.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills; able to influence and align at all levels, from founders to the boardroom.
Exceptionally high judgment and integrity; discreet by instinct and trusted with sensitive, high-stakes information.
Experience working across international markets and navigating cross-border deal dynamics.
AI-native and tool-fluent: comfortable running deal pipelines and project management in Notion, and using Claude and ChatGPT daily, including agents and multi-step “super agent” workflows.

About You
You're a sharp, commercially minded planner who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy. You find equal satisfaction in building a precise bottoms-up forecast and presenting an inventory recommendation to senior leadership. You're naturally collaborative, comfortable navigating cross-functional teams, and confident enough to push back on a buy when the numbers don't support it.
About The Role
As Manager, Planning, you will lead merchandise planning for GWYN, goop's fashion label, while supporting supply planning across goop Beauty and inventory analysis for the multi-brand business. Reporting to the Senior Director, Planning, you will partner closely with Merchandising, Buying, Supply Chain, Product Development, Wholesale, Retail, Ecommerce, and Finance to develop demand forecasts, inventory investment strategies, and supply plans that support company financial objectives. This is a highly analytical and cross-functional role requiring someone who is equally comfortable building financial plans as they are influencing business decisions. The ideal candidate has strong commercial judgment and the confidence to make data-driven recommendations—including when that means recommending not to invest in inventory.
Responsibilities include:
Lead Open-to-Buy management for GWYN, building receipt plans aligned with sales forecasts, inventory targets, margin expectations, and cash flow objectives; continuously evaluate business performance and recommend adjustments, including reducing, delaying, or accelerating receipts as conditions evolve.
Own preseason and in-season merchandise plans by collection, category, channel, and month, including bottoms-up sales, demand, inventory, and receipt plans by collection, SKU, and channel.
Develop size curve forecasts by style, color, and size with Merchandising; translate demand forecasts into purchase order recommendations, receipt timing, and inventory requirements in partnership with Buying and Supply Chain.
Own inventory allocation recommendations across Ecommerce and Retail; monitor inventory productivity, WOS, sell-through, and stock position, recommending replenishment, markdown, and inventory mitigation actions.
Support supply planning for goop Beauty by maintaining demand forecasts, supply plans, and replenishment visibility for finished goods and components; proactively identify and address low WOS, out-of-stock, and excess inventory risks.
Partner with Wholesale, Ecommerce, Retail, Amazon, Merchandising, and Finance to align sales forecasts and inventory investments; analyze weekly business performance and recommend actions to improve sales, inventory productivity, and profitability.
Develop executive reporting, planning analysis, and recommendations to support business reviews; maintain and improve planning tools, forecasting models, and reporting processes.
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of merchandise planning experience in fashion or specialty retail, with direct ownership of Open-to-Buy and inventory investment decisions.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage bottoms-up financial plans at the SKU, category, and channel level; strong proficiency in Excel and planning systems (e.g., Netsuite, Looker, or equivalent).
Experience in supply planning or demand planning within a beauty, CPG, or multi-brand environment is a strong plus.
Proven cross-functional partnership experience with Merchandising, Buying, Supply Chain, Finance, and Ecommerce teams to align forecasts and drive business performance.
Strong analytical and commercial judgment; comfortable making data-driven inventory recommendations, including conservative calls when risk outweighs return.
Excellent communication and executive reporting skills, with the ability to distill complex inventory analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
