ABOUT CARTESIA
Our mission is to architect AI that learns from and interacts with the world like humans do.
We're pioneering the model architectures that will make this possible. Our founding team met as PhDs at the Stanford AI Lab, where we invented State Space Models or SSMs, a new primitive for training efficient, large-scale foundation models. Our team combines deep expertise in model innovation and systems engineering paired with a design-minded product engineering team to build and ship cutting edge models and experiences.
We're funded by leading investors at Index Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners, along with Factory, Conviction, A Star, General Catalyst, SV Angel, Databricks and others. We're fortunate to have the support of many amazing advisors, and 90+ angels across many industries, including the world's foremost experts in AI.
OVERVIEW
We are seeking native-level French speakers with a linguistics background to serve as the primary language resource for voice AI in their language. You will be the trusted point of contact for all questions, quality decisions, and language-specific work related to French.
This is not a standard annotation engagement. You will own your language end to end, which includes managing annotation quality, auditing data, monitoring product performance, investigating customer-reported issues, and executing projects that require deep linguistic expertise and attention to detail. You will operate independently across these workstreams and serve as the team's go-to resource for anything related to your language.
This is an ongoing contractor engagement. Availability during some US Pacific business hours is preferred to allow for team syncs and real-time support.
ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT
You will coordinate with the Human Evals Manager on project deliverables and timelines. Some examples of what your day-to-day work may include:
Answer questions from annotators about guidelines, edge cases, or language-specific issues via an agreed project communication channel.
Cascade new feedback, instructions, or rubric updates to annotators working on your projects.
Listen to annotator-rated audio files and check whether their ratings and written feedback align with the rubric.
Prepare written quality assessments for annotators with specific examples and recommendations.
Listen to TTS output and provide ground truth assessments of pronunciation, prosody, and naturalness in your language.
Update or expand sections of the annotation guidelines when you find gaps or edge cases.
Prep and run calibration meetings with annotators.
Hold office hours on a mutually agreed schedule during active studies so annotators can ask questions in real time.
Develop onboarding materials and resources for new annotators.
Write QA reports on annotation quality and calibration outcomes.
Review production audio in your language and flag quality issues to the team.
Investigate language-specific issues reported by customers and identify root causes.
Audit datasets for linguistic accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
COMMITMENT
Roughly 40 hours per week with flexibility in scheduling. Project hours may vary depending on active studies, data projects, and product needs. Participation in periodic coordination meetings during US Pacific hours is expected.
REQUIREMENTS
Native-level proficiency in French as spoken in France.
Experience with data annotation, transcription, or language quality assurance.
Strong foundation in linguistics or a related field, with the ability to apply concepts like phonetics, prosody, and intonation when evaluating speech and writing annotation guidelines.
Strong written English proficiency. All guidelines, feedback, reports, and team communication are in English.
Ability to write clear, structured instructions and deliver specific, actionable feedback to annotators.
Comfortable working with data and metrics such as inter-rater agreement scores, audit spreadsheets, and structured feedback templates.
Self-directed and able to manage feedback cycles, QA reviews, and data projects without close oversight.
PREFERRED
Experience writing or maintaining annotation guidelines or rubrics.
Experience training, mentoring, or managing other annotators.
Experience with audio evaluation, TTS, or STT.
Conversational spoken English proficiency for meetings and calibration syncs.
Experience working with distributed, remote teams.
This is a 1099 contract opportunity and will not be eligible for the benefits below. Language Leads work on an ongoing basis, renewable by mutual agreement. You will control your own methods for completing assigned work, supply your own equipment, and are responsible for your own taxes. You must be authorized to work in your country of residence.

Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.
Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.
We are looking for a Senior MLOps Engineer to join our Data Engineering & Analytics team.
In this role, your primary focus will be leading the design and evolution of the platforms, workflows, and governance practices that enable machine learning teams to develop, train, deploy, and operate ML systems reliably at scale. You will work across multiple data science teams and business domains, shaping a strong development environment, driving model lifecycle improvements, and helping set the standards that keep our ML systems scalable, maintainable, and well governed. The role sits within a broader shared cloud and data platform ecosystem, so you will also collaborate with adjacent platform teams and contribute to practical infrastructure, deployment, and access patterns that help DS teams move faster.
This is a remote role in the US.
What you will do:
Primary Focus – MLOps Platform and ML Enablement
Lead the development and improvement of the environment, platform capabilities, and operational foundations that support machine learning workflows across Oura.
Drive the design and unification of workflows and tooling that support reliable training, orchestration, and deployment of ML systems.
Partner with data scientists and engineers to improve the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from experimentation and training through deployment and governance, while making production ML systems easier to manage and maintain.
Define and evolve model governance practices, including reproducibility, lineage, access controls, and operational standards.
Support and help standardize ML tooling and workflows such as experiment tracking, model packaging, and promotion processes, with MLflow or similar tooling as a key part of the stack.
Collaborate with teams across multiple business domains to onboard new use cases, prioritize platform improvements, and raise the maturity of shared ML capabilities.
Identify and resolve reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency issues in ML infrastructure running in the cloud.
Drive standards, automation, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and documentation that make ML development easier and more consistent across multiple DS teams.
Cross-functional Growth Areas
Improve infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and observability for ML workflows and supporting platform components.
Contribute to workflow orchestration and platform integrations that support model training and batch inference at scale.
Partner with data engineering and platform teams to align ML systems with broader data platform and governance practices.
Help shape best practices for how teams build, ship, and maintain production ML systems across Oura.
We would love to have you on our team if you have
5+ years of experience in MLOps, machine learning engineering, platform engineering, data engineering, or a closely related field.
Hands-on experience running production workloads in AWS and a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts.
Strong understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including training workflows, deployment patterns across ML systems, monitoring, and ongoing model maintenance.
Familiarity with data science ways of working and the tooling that supports experimentation and model operations, such as MLflow.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD practices for ML or data platforms.
Familiarity with secure access patterns, governance controls, and shared cloud or data platform services that support ML work at scale.
Experience building or supporting production-grade ML workflows with a focus on reliability, reproducibility, and maintainability.
Proven ability to drive standards and improvements across multiple teams and business domains.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort operating in a distributed team with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
What makes you stand out
Experience supporting multiple data science teams through shared MLOps platforms or tooling.
Prior experience with Databricks.
Experience with governance and operational controls for ML systems at scale.
Experience driving cross-team tooling or workflow standardization in ML or data platforms.
Experience working in a high-growth environment with multiple stakeholders and evolving ML platform needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring our first Scaled Customer Success Manager to build the foundation for how thousands of customers succeed with Cartesia. Our customers range from scrappy AI startups shipping their first voice agent to rapidly growing companies building production-grade voice experiences. As our customer base grows, we can't just keep adding headcount to keep up. Success needs to scale through thoughtful systems, great customer programs, and product expertise.
You'll own the post-sales experience for a large portfolio of customers, helping them onboard successfully, adopt our platform, and grow over time. You'll partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to improve the customer journey while building the playbooks, automations, and lifecycle programs that make Customer Success a force multiplier for the company.
YOUR IMPACT
- Own the customer journey from onboarding through renewal for a growing portfolio of startup and SMB customers.
- Help customers realize value quickly by driving product adoption and successful onboarding.
- Build repeatable onboarding, education, and lifecycle programs that scale from hundreds to thousands of customers.
- Monitor customer health, identify risks early, and proactively improve retention.
- Partner with Sales to identify expansion opportunities driven by customer adoption and usage.
- Become a trusted product expert, helping customers adopt best practices and get the most out of the platform.
- Create scalable customer assets including playbooks, documentation, webinars, office hours, and enablement content.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to bring customer feedback into roadmap discussions and improve the overall product experience.
- Continuously improve Customer Success operations through automation, AI, and better systems.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3–6 years of experience in Customer Success, Technical Customer Success, Account Management, Solutions Consulting, or a similar customer-facing role at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
- Experience managing a scaled portfolio of customers while maintaining strong customer outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize across many customers and competing initiatives.
- Strong product intuition and customer empathy— you enjoy understanding customer goals and helping them succeed.
- A data-driven approach to Customer Success. You're comfortable using product usage data, customer health signals, and CRM insights to prioritize your work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- High ownership and comfort operating with ambiguity. You proactively identify problems and drive them to resolution.
- A builder mindset. You enjoy creating playbooks, improving processes, and designing systems that scale beyond your own portfolio.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how adoption drives retention and expansion.
- Comfortable using AI tools to automate repetitive work and spend more time solving customer problems.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with developer tools, APIs, AI products, infrastructure software, or technical SaaS platforms.
- Experience supporting technical buyers such as engineers or product teams.
- Experience building customer education programs, lifecycle campaigns, or self-service onboarding experiences.
Even if you don't meet every qualification above, we'd still encourage you to apply. We care much more about your ability to learn, build, and create exceptional customer experiences than checking every box.
Note: Cartesia participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information to confirm employment eligibility after hire.

OVERVIEW
We are seeking native-level English speakers with a linguistics background to serve as the primary language resource for voice AI in their language. You will be the trusted point of contact for all questions, quality decisions, and language-specific work related to English.
- Answer questions from annotators about guidelines, edge cases, or language-specific issues via an agreed project communication channel.
- Cascade new feedback, instructions, or rubric updates to annotators working on your projects.
- Listen to annotator-rated audio files and check whether their ratings and written feedback align with the rubric.
- Prepare written quality assessments for annotators with specific examples and recommendations.
- Listen to TTS output and provide ground truth assessments of pronunciation, prosody, and naturalness in your language.
- Update or expand sections of the annotation guidelines when you find gaps or edge cases.
- Prep and run calibration meetings with annotators.
- Hold office hours on a mutually agreed schedule during active studies so annotators can ask questions in real time.
- Develop onboarding materials and resources for new annotators.
- Write QA reports on annotation quality and calibration outcomes.
- Review production audio in your language and flag quality issues to the team.
- Investigate language-specific issues reported by customers and identify root causes.
- Audit datasets for linguistic accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
COMMITMENT
Roughly 40 hours per week with flexibility in scheduling. Project hours may vary depending on active studies, data projects, and product needs. Participation in periodic coordination meetings during US Pacific hours is expected.
REQUIREMENTS
- Native-level proficiency in English as spoken in the US.
- Experience with data annotation, transcription, or language quality assurance.
- Strong foundation in linguistics or a related field, with the ability to apply concepts like phonetics, prosody, and intonation when evaluating speech and writing annotation guidelines.
- Strong written English proficiency. All guidelines, feedback, reports, and team communication are in English.
- Ability to write clear, structured instructions and deliver specific, actionable feedback to annotators.
- Comfortable working with data and metrics such as inter-rater agreement scores, audit spreadsheets, and structured feedback templates.
- Self-directed and able to manage feedback cycles, QA reviews, and data projects without close oversight.
PREFERRED
- Experience writing or maintaining annotation guidelines or rubrics.
- Experience training, mentoring, or managing other annotators.
- Experience with audio evaluation, TTS, or STT.
- Conversational spoken English proficiency for meetings and calibration syncs.
- Experience working with distributed, remote teams.
Note: Cartesia participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information to confirm employment eligibility after hire.
