Shield AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company with the mission of protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems. Its products include Hivemind autonomy software, V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft, and Aechelon simulation and synthetic reality technologies. With offices and facilities across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, Shield AI’s technology actively supports operations worldwide. For more information, visit www.shield.ai. Job Description:
The Special Projects team at Shield AI is an elite force within the office of the CTO. It consists of a group of very senior (L5-L8) and highly experienced software engineering experts from diverse fields (aerospace, robotics, cloud infrastructure, game development, interactive media design, ...). The charter of this group is to steer technology development towards strategic alignment with the CTO's vision, through tactical insertion into teams and technologies across the organization. Individuals within this team make direct and at times forward-sprinting contributions to all three pillars of Hivemind, Shield AI's software ecosystem for developing and deploying resilient intelligent teaming for aircrafts. Hivemind consists of four products: EdgeOS (C++ based high-performance middleware for autonomy development), Pilot (autonomy for the edge built atop EdgeOS; a models-based, modular and open architecture C++ codebase), Forge (Shield AI's AI Factory for the design, development, and testing of Hivemind Edge systems; a service-oriented architecture leveraged through an SDK, CLI, and web portal; a Go, Python, Typescript codebase), Commander (Software and hardware to support rich human-in-the-loop and human-on-the-loop interactions with the Hivemind; a C++-based back-end for interaction with Pilot; and a web-application UI for mission planning, command and control by operators implemented in a Typescript/React codebase).
The Special Projects team is chartered to operate effectively within ambiguity. While this team does not own any software products, it tactically and strategically impacts the development of all foundational Hivemind products and leverages those technologies to rapidly deliver low-TRL solutions. This work happens shoulder-to-shoulder with the product teams in some cases, and in a forward-sprinting manner within the Special Projects team in other cases. The result is direct contribution to products in the former case, and development of reference implementations in the latter. The Special Projects team also functions as a pipeline for product and solution engineering teams across the organization. Individuals who enter the Special Projects team rapidly gain depth and breadth in their understanding of the Hivemind software ecosystem. This positions them well for leading technology development effort across the product and solution organization.
What you'll do:
Own product definition, roadmap, and metrics across the office of the CTO's agentic AI portfolio: an enterprise knowledge assistant (Brain), an agent-driven engineering platform (Springboard), and enterprise AI/data modernization and app development.
Translate CTO strategy into crisp requirements, milestones, exit criteria, and KPIs — then hold the line on them.
Drive adoption of internal platforms: reduce onboarding friction, instrument usage, track NPS and active users, and run developer advocacy and objection handling.
Shape product direction for foundation-model based autonomy architectures and model lifecycle tooling (evaluation, fine-tuning, verification, deployment).
Run continuous discovery with engineers, operators, and executive stakeholders; turn findings into prioritized backlogs.
Prioritize ruthlessly across competing initiatives with small teams and aggressive timelines.
Analyze the agentic tooling, enterprise AI platform, and foundation model ecosystem; recommend build/buy/partner positions to leadership.
Author strategy documents, product briefs, and executive updates that drive decisions.
Manage transitions of maturing products from incubation to owning organizations.
Required qualifications:
8+ years of product management for deeply technical products; engineering or CS background.
Technical fluency: you read code, work APIs and CLIs from a terminal, and prototype with AI coding tools yourself.
Shipped developer tools, internal platforms, or AI/ML products — and drove their adoption.
Working fluency in LLM-based systems: agents, evaluation, context management, fine-tuning trade-offs.
Metrics-driven operating style: you define KPIs, instrument products, and report against thresholds and objectives.
Exceptional written communication — requirements, strategy docs, executive briefs.
Proven stakeholder management up to the executive level across engineering, product, and business functions.
Fluid intelligence that allows one to operate effectively in ambiguous conditions while finding opportunities to drive technical efforts and force multiply.
This role requires travel to a Shield AI location 1-3 times per quarter
Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience as a software engineer.
Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated environments (CUI/ITAR, restricted or disconnected deployments).
Experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g. Databricks) and ERP/business-system integration.
Experience with safety-critical or assurance-driven software processes (requirements traceability, V&V, certification artifacts).
Experience taking zero-to-one internal products through incubation, adoption, and handoff.
Experience with robotics or autonomy products.
$220,000 - $330,000 a year

Senior Partner Solution Architect
West Coast USA / East Coast USAGo-To-Market – Field Engineering /Remote
APPLY FOR THIS JOB
Are you ready to shape the future of data?
Matillion is the company behind Maia, the AI Data Automation platform.
In the AI economy, demand for data is exploding. Manual data engineering can’t keep up. Maia fixes that by combining 15 years of data expertise with agentic AI to eliminate the manual work that slows data teams down. Organisations like Cisco, DocuSign, and Slack are already using it to deliver real business impact, faster.
We started in Manchester and now we’re global - with teams across the UK, US and India.
We are driven, curious, energetic people who move fast, think big and hold ourselves to a high standard. We’re here to make a dent in the universe bigger than ourselves. And we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
About the role
Our partner ecosystem is one of the most powerful levers we have for growth - and this role sits right at the heart of it. As Senior Partner Solution Architect, you are the primary technical authority for Matillion's partner relationships, spanning global SIs like Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro and Infosys, and cloud platforms including AWS, Snowflake and Databricks. This is a senior individual contributor role at the intersection of technology, enablement and go-to-market. You don't just advise partners, you build their capability, accelerate joint pipelines and make Matillion the go-to data integration platform across every partner practice.
This is a role for someone who is technically credible, commercially sharp and energised by enabling others. You'll design and deliver partner enablement programmes, engage as the Matillion technical lead in co-sell motions, own the technical onboarding journey for new partners and feed the voice of the ecosystem back into Product and Engineering. If you're partner-obsessed, deeply fluent in the modern data stack and ready to operate with high autonomy, this is for you.
What you will be doing
Designing and delivering structured technical enablement programmes for GSI and cloud partner teams - including bootcamps, workshops, certification pathways and a scalable partner readiness framework that tracks and closes technical maturity gaps
Engaging as the Matillion technical lead in joint partner-led sales cycles - supporting partner SAs in discovery, solution design and technical validation, while working alongside Alliances and Sales to activate co-sell motions with AWS, Snowflake, Databricks and other cloud marketplace partners
Owning the end-to-end technical onboarding journey for new GSI and cloud partners - from first product orientation through to delivery readiness - with clear milestones and the ability to independently demo, implement and support Matillion within agreed timeframes
Acting as the internal voice of the partner ecosystem - surfacing product gaps, feature requests and integration needs to Product and Engineering, while enabling internal field teams to confidently articulate partner-led Matillion use cases
Building Matillion's presence and credibility in the partner ecosystem through technical thought leadership - authoring blogs, white papers and solution briefs, representing Matillion at partner QBRs, conferences and joint field events across the US
What we are looking for
5+ years in a Solution Architect, Partner SE or Technical Presales role within the data, analytics or cloud ecosystem - with a proven track record of enabling GSI or cloud partner teams at scale, including delivering training programmes and certification frameworks
Deep hands-on knowledge of data integration, ELT/ETL architecture and modern cloud data platform design - with direct experience across Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery or Azure Synapse, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
Demonstrated ability to build and navigate complex partner organisations - you know how to work with GSI practice leads, cloud alliance teams and C-suite stakeholders, and you're equally confident in a technical deep-dive and an executive briefing
A natural enabler with a bias for action - you get energy from teaching and uplifting others, you manage multiple partner programmes simultaneously without losing quality, and you thrive in a high-autonomy environment
Commercially aware and technically opinionated - you can go deep on architecture and zoom out to business impact, and you bring conviction to every conversation while remaining genuinely collaborative
At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level, and country. This role’s estimated annual salary range is $125,272 - $187908. Because this role is eligible for variable pay in the form of sales commissions, your total annual on-target annual earnings will be between $178,960 - $268,440. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.

At Qualified Health, we're redefining what's possible with Generative AI in healthcare. Our infrastructure provides the guardrails for safe AI governance, healthcare-specific agent creation, and real-time algorithm monitoring — working alongside leading health systems to drive real change.
This is more than just a job. It's an opportunity to build the future of AI in healthcare, solve complex challenges, and make a lasting impact on patient care. If you're ambitious, innovative, and ready to move fast, we'd love to have you on board.
Join us in shaping the future of healthcare.
Job Summary:
The Director of Data Modernization is the technical architect and engineering leader across all of Qualified Health's data modernization engagements. You'll walk into a health system's data environment — which might be anything from a well-maintained EHR reporting database to a tangle of flat files and manual SFTP processes — and design the modern cloud data platform that will replace it.
This is the highest-leverage work on the team. Every health system you modernize from legacy connectivity to a modern data sharing pattern reduces their ongoing integration effort dramatically. You're not just building infrastructure — you're removing the single biggest bottleneck to AI deployment across our entire partner base.
You'll own the technical architecture playbook, make design decisions across concurrent engagements, lead a team of data engineers and cloud/infrastructure engineers, review all engineering output, and personally drive the most complex builds. The Engagement Manager handles the partner relationship and project management — you handle the engineering. Together, you run the engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the technical architecture for modernization engagements: Azure Databricks design, data landing zones, networking, security controls
Lead and develop a team of data engineers and cloud/infrastructure engineers
Lead technical discovery and source data assessments for new engagements
Review and approve all engineering deliverables across concurrent engagements
Personally drive architecture and build for the most complex engagements
Set engineering quality standards and drive architectural decisions across the modernization practice
Maintain and evolve the technical engagement playbook
Ensure environments meet handoff criteria for the Client Integration team
Collaborate with Data Mapping Analysts on source data assessment and validation
This role requires travel to healthcare client sites for engagement kickoffs, technical discovery sessions, and key milestones. Candidates should be prepared for 15-25% travel, depending on active engagements.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Required Experience:
6+ years in data engineering or data platform roles, with demonstrated technical leadership
Deep Azure expertise: Databricks, ADLS2, Azure networking, managed identities, Terraform/Bicep
Experience with data platform design and deployment (greenfield builds)
Client-facing experience — comfortable leading technical conversations with health system IT teams
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with EHR data sources and clinical data models (Epic Clarity/Caboodle preferred)
Experience with data sharing protocols (Delta Share, Fabric External Sharing, or similar)
Background in consulting, professional services, or data platform implementation
Experience designing data architectures for HIPAA-regulated environments
Track record of managing technical quality across concurrent engagements
Architectural Judgment: You can walk into an unfamiliar data environment, assess what exists, identify what's missing, and design a target state architecture that is both technically sound and achievable within a time-boxed engagement
Hands-On Leadership: You lead by example — reviewing code, pairing with engineers on tough problems, and shipping your own work alongside the team
Pragmatism: You know the difference between "architecturally ideal" and "what we can actually deliver in the engagement window" — and you optimize for the latter without creating technical debt
Client Presence: You're comfortable in a room with a health system CIO or VP of IT, explaining technical decisions in business terms
Documentation: You maintain engagement playbooks and architecture patterns so the next engagement benefits from what you learned in the last one
Technical Environment:
Our data infrastructure is built on modern cloud technologies including:
Azure Databricks + Data Factory (plus Fabric and Snowflake integrations)
PySpark for distributed data processing
GitHub Actions + Terraform for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
Python with type-safe patterns and modern frameworks
Healthcare data formats including FHIR, Epic Clarity, and other EHR schemas
