We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer to transform our analytics infrastructure from monolithic SQL/PostgreSQL systems into a modern Azure-based data platform with DevOps at its core. This permanent position focuses on building an automated, self-service architecture designed for continuous evolution.

You’ll bring 5+ years of data engineering experience with proven expertise in implementing enterprise-scale data platforms and DevOps methodologies. You’ll architect solutions using modern patterns, establish automated data pipelines with CI/CD practices, implement infrastructure-as-code, and mentor our team while building systems that adapt to emerging technologies.

We need someone who prioritises maintainable, scalable, and adaptable systems. We’re committed to Azure but flexible on specific products – we value pragmatic solutions based on actual needs.

Structure & Expectations

Reports to: Product organisation – you’ll work closely with product teams to align data capabilities with business objectives
Location: London office 3 days per week, flexible remote work the rest of the time
Team: You’ll be the senior technical lead and engineer for data platform initiatives, working with business analysts, engineers, and product stakeholders
Timeline: Initial focus on migration (6 months), then platform evolution, DevOps maturity, and capability expansion

Core Technical Requirements

Azure Data Platform Architecture

Microsoft Azure data stack expertise: ADF, Delta Lake, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Databricks (with flexibility to integrate non-Microsoft solutions)
Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server, including data replication/integration patterns for migration
Dimensional and relational data modeling expertise
Medallion architecture implementation (bronze→silver→gold)

Data Engineering & Pipelines

Proficiency in Python and SQL for ELT/ETL pipelines
Batch, streaming, and micro-batching architectures
CDC patterns and incremental load strategies at scale
Experience with Delta Change Data Feed or equivalent real-time sync mechanisms
Experience building ingestion pipelines from diverse external APIs (CRM, analytics, finance, observability tools) into a unified lakehouse

DevOps & Infrastructure

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Test automation for data pipelines (unit, integration, regression)
Azure networking and security best practices
Container orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS) experience beneficial
Event-driven architectures and API integration patterns
Monitoring and alerting with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
Performance tuning and cost optimisation
Git version control proficiency

Governance, Compliance & Security

Strong understanding of information security requirements
Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar governance frameworks
GDPR/data protection implementation, including the right-to-be-forgotten
RBAC, encryption strategies, and audit logging
Data lineage and quality enforcement

Non-Technical Requirements

Communication & Documentation

Strong technical writing – please provide examples
Clear presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Experience creating architecture diagrams, data flows, and runbooks

Leadership

Track record of training and upskilling teams
Experience with structured project planning: from high-level initiatives through quarterly planning to executable tasks
Comfort working with product managers and translating between technical and business contexts

Senior Technical Product Manager (Clinical Data Platform), Remote Remote, United StatesProduct – Product Management /Full Time /Remote APPLY FOR THIS JOB As a Senior Technical Product Manager, Clinical Data Platform, you will be a key member of the team responsible for designing scalable technical, service, and content solutions that Support Aledade’s various lines of business, with a focus on Medicare Advantage and clinical data integration. In this role, you will partner with business owners, data analysts, engineers and clinical informaticists to define project goals, solution scope, implementation approaches, and rollout plans. You will play a critical role in expanding the platforms ability to ingest, standardize and serve clinical data at scale, including structured and unstructured data, to power downstream use cases. You will help identify and productionize AI/ML capabilities that extract and improve clinical insights from unstructured data and enhance data quality and completeness. As a platform focused product manager, you will bridge the gap between strategic business needs and core platform capabilities, ensuring Aledade delivers a high-quality, future ready clinical data foundation that can support AI innovation and scale operationally. Primary Duties: Partner with business owners to cultivate a shared vision for the problem space, constraints, priorities and ideal end state, and be able to articulate and advocate for this perspective. Ongoing optimization of live user workflows and capabilities including monitoring of key metrics & internal user feedback Work with internal teams and end users to develop a deep understanding of requirements, perform thoughtful technical solution designs, use data to test hypotheses, and support teams throughout execution. Write detailed user stories for new features, capturing detailed descriptions of business rationale, requirements, and success criteria that are defined by measurable outcomes. Develop short- and long-term roadmaps that deliver maximum value with minimum risk and assume ongoing iteration. Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of product management experience in healthcare technology, technology-enabled services industry, or a SaaS product. Experience using data and primary research to inform solution design and build internal business understanding. Experience with and understanding of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies, including experience managing within Agile and Scrum teams. Product development experience in the context of the development of a healthcare technology product. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Excellent organizational and communication skills with an emphasis on problem-solving and building subject matter expertise. Intermediate understanding of EHR data integration and applicable data standards, including FHIR, QRDA, CCDA, SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CPT and RxNorm Experience applying project management principles and techniques with an eye towards execution. To include skills in leading and managing change within the team and initiative more broadly. Knowledge of healthcare administrative and clinical data sets, including demographics, financials, encounters, labs, diagnoses, and medications. Familiarity with software development environments, version control systems and basic coding or scripting languages to better communicate with development teams and participate in technical discussions. Basic understanding of clinical workflows across inpatient, ambulatory, and ancillary care settings, including how data is captured and used in EHR systems. Experience working with EHR, practice management, revenue cycle tools, or population health platforms to support clinical or operational use cases.. Experience with clinical datasets to ensure accurate patient record linkage, data integration, and interoperability between clinical, administrative and claims data sources. Experience applying NLP and/or ML techniques for extracting structured clinical insights from free-text data (e.g., clinical notes, CCDAs, scanned documents). Experience working with clinical data pipelines including ingestion, normalization, and mapping to standardized terminologies and schemas. Proficient in SQL, with experience querying large healthcare datasets in PostgresSQL or similar environments. Experience using Databricks to manage, process and analyze large-scale clinical data using Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and data pipelines, particularly for clinical interoperability workflows. Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $184,500 and $217,100/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, equity grants, and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
