About this opportunity:
The Vice President of Product Management will own the development and execution of Freenome’s product portfolio roadmap across three verticals: assay development, digital health, and the data platform. Working in close partnership with leaders across the company, this individual will translate clinical, scientific, customer, and business needs into a cohesive product strategy enabled by AI/agents that supports early cancer detection and patient access.
In assay development, this role will define product requirements and roadmap priorities for Freenome's diagnostic tests and test versioning through assay enhancements and AI. Across digital health, this leader will define the product experiences and workflows for patients, providers, and internal operations, with a focus on usability, access, and adoption. For the data platform, this role will lead defining capabilities, analytics, and data products needed to connect biological, clinical, and customer insights to portfolio decisions and product performance.
The role reports to the Chief Product Officer. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to guiding and refining company-level strategy. Your commitment to patient care and access will significantly contribute to our growth and our mission to outpace cancer with early detection. This role will be a hybrid role based in our Brisbane, California headquarters.
What you’ll do:
Define, lead, develop, and implement the Freenome product roadmap with deep AI/agent integration and strategy in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and Chief Product Officer that meets personalized care portfolio objectives.
Lead a team of product managers and technical product managers, inspiring the team with a clear vision and direction to enable excellence in execution, innovation, and collaboration.
Coach and develop a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Develop and implement comprehensive product strategies, including market analysis, product development, and lifecycle management.
Lead and influence through deep clinical and scientific market understanding to guide effective product portfolio and development priorities.
Own the overall product portfolio roadmap through organizational alignment of competing dynamics in science, commercial, regulatory, market access, clinical pathways, and patient preferences.
Own and lead decision making forums that prioritize and define R&D and product pipelines aligned with company strategy and objectives.
Drive product decisions and priorities using strategic frameworks and quantitative analyses.
Architects and integrates AI automation, agentic workflows and enablement strategies for Freenome’s product roadmap.
Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and partners, gathering feedback and insights to inform product development and improvement.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancement.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product performance and customer satisfaction, using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in the media, serving as a thought leader in product management.
Must haves:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in product management; management consulting experience a plus.
Minimum of 10 years leadership experience building and cultivating high-performing teams.
Prior oncology, primary care, and consumer experience.
Prior in vitro diagnostic product launch experience.
Strong understanding of the diagnostics market, including regulatory and compliance landscape, competitive dynamics and customer and patient behavior.
Proven track record of developing and launching successful products in a competitive market.
Strong understanding of customer experience principles and methodologies, with experience leading customer-centric initiatives.
Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, partners, and teams.
Benefits and additional information:
The US target range of our base salary rate for new hires is $293,550 - $383,775. You will also be eligible to receive equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
