About the Role As Senior Director, People Partners, you will lead the evolution of our HRBP function to operate as a true organizational architect: identifying systemic problems before they become crises, designing mechanisms that produce the right talent outcomes, and becoming a sought-after partner to senior leaders. You will lead a small team of HRBPs, set the standard for how this function operates, and serve as a credible, trusted voice in senior leadership conversations — someone who earns influence by being right, honest, bringing insights and patterns that leaders may not see but need to understand, and proactively helping leaders reach their goals through people, structure, and culture. This role is fully remote. About the People Team The People team at Honor builds the infrastructure, practices, and leadership capability to help the company achieve its goals through its people, structure, and culture. We aim to act as a force multiplier — aligning people and purpose to drive growth, adaptability, and long-term value. Our work is both strategic and operational: finding and hiring talented people, ensuring the people and culture "scaffolding" are in place for the company to evolve and scale, continuously examining and improving how work gets done and information flows, supporting and strengthening leaders, and ensuring the fundamentals of risk mitigation, pay, and policy are executed reliably. As Senior Director of HR Business Partnership at Honor, you will: Raise manager and leadership quality — Help leaders understand that manager-employee relationships are the primary driver of team performance, retention, and culture. Build manager capability, feedback loops, and coaching infrastructure that make strong manager-employee relationships the norm, not the exception. Support succession planning and leadership bench development. (Leadership Principle: Drive Impact) Drive organizational effectiveness — Build trust-based relationships with business leaders to partner on organizational design: assess structure, clarity of roles and decision rights, and alignment with business strategy. Strengthen the organization's change management capabilities and agility. Act as a connector across functions — bringing objectivity, empathy, expertise, and sound judgment to complex, cross-cutting people issues. Build scalable people solutions that drive business impact. Look beyond individual issues to identify root causes, patterns, and systemic challenges, then develop sustainable, repeatable solutions that improve how the organization operates. Test new approaches through practical, data-informed experimentation, learn quickly, and scale what works. Leverage HR data, workforce analytics, and emerging technologies to identify trends, mitigate risk, and improve engagement, retention, performance, and organizational effectiveness. Measure success through meaningful business and people outcomes—not simply completed activities. (Leadership Principle: Think Systemically) Own employee relations and risk — Lead employee relations for our fully-remote HQ team. Identify and resolve ER issues with speed and sound judgment. Bring strong multi-state wage and hour knowledge and solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices. Maintain working knowledge of employee relations dynamics and know when to engage additional expertise. Support performance management with rigor — teach and enable managers to set clear expectations, provide clear feedback, and address performance issues promptly. (Leadership Principle: Identify Problems) Lead and develop the HRBP team — Manage, coach, and develop a small team of HRBPs, raising the bar on quality, speed, and judgment. Build observability and repeatability into the team's work through tools, playbooks, and decision frameworks. Lead and evolve the HRBP practice as a strategic center of excellence, defining clear operating principles, standards, and expectations for consistent, high-quality HR partnership across the organization. Partner on hiring quality — Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to sharpen hiring criteria, improve structured interview practices, and strengthen calibration. Help leaders understand what they are actually hiring for given the needs of the organization now and in the future, not just what they think they want. We're looking for you to bring: Required: 10–12+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant time in a senior HRBP or HR leadership role Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Professional HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus Experience supporting a mixed workforce — knowledge workers alongside operations, call center, or field staff — in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment Multi-state US employment law fluency; demonstrated experience navigating wage and hour complexity for non-exempt populations Experience in a growth-stage or rapidly scaling company; you've built or rebuilt HR infrastructure before, not just maintained it Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into org design; you've structured teams, clarified decision rights, and helped leaders navigate restructuring decisions Track record of building manager capability — not just delivering training Strong analytical capability, with experience finding and using HR data and workforce insights to identify trends, inform strategy, and drive measurable outcomes Comfort leveraging technology and data to build workflows, analyze data, and scale the function's capacity Ability to communicate in clear, structured, written narratives that distill complexity, sharpen thinking, and scaffold decisions What distinguishes the right candidate: Pattern recognition — You spot issues early — in data, in conversations, in org dynamics — before they become problems. You go to the source: you connect data to anecdotes, audit what is actually happening, and don't manage from assumptions. You are not waiting to be asked. Systems thinking — When something goes wrong once, you fix it. When it goes wrong again, you build a mechanism. You think in first principles, root causes, and leverage points, not symptoms and one-offs. You deconstruct problems into their inputs and constraints before proposing solutions. Business credibility — You understand metrics, incentives, and operational constraints. You speak the language of business leaders, not just HR practitioners. Senior leaders seek you out early because you're valuable. You have a demonstrated ability to drive change through an organization. Honest and direct — You tell leaders what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. You don't avoid hard truths. You know the difference between being diplomatic and being evasive. You admit when you are wrong or don’t have an immediate answer. Builder mindset — You have a track record of making functions better. You know the difference between improving a process and building a capability. Entrepreneurial drive — You can create order from ambiguity, prioritize appropriately, are willing to roll up your sleeves, and understand that at our stage, building and doing are not separate activities. What Success Looks Like In the first 6 months: Senior leaders are actively seeking out this person The HRBP team has clear expectations, better tools and is operating with consistency and repeatability The most significant ER and compliance risks are identified, documented, and being managed proactively. Patterns have been identified and root cause solutions to minimize future occurrence are underway, with measures of success pre-identified. This leader has an honest assessment of where the function is and a credible plan for where it needs to go In the first year: Measurable improvement in manager capability and manager-employee relationship quality At least one previously recurring ER or operational problem has been turned into a repeatable mechanism Org design work is happening proactively alongside hiring and business planning, not reactively after decisions are made The People team's metrics reviews are sharper, more consistent, and informing real decisions — this leader has materially elevated the function's use of data Compensation The annual base salary range for this role is $230,000 to $255,000, plus stock options. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Base pay is just one part of our total rewards program. Honor offers a 401K with up to a 4% match and medical, dental, and vision coverage including a zero cost plan for employees. We provide medical, dental and vision coverage including a zero cost plan for employees. Hiring Salary Range$194,400—$216,000 USD Apply Now Senior Manager, Data Science Remote Position About Honor Our mission is simple: change the way we care for our parents so they can age safely at home. How we accomplish that mission is anything but simple. Delivering reliable home care requires coordinating people, schedules, geography, skills, preferences, and changing needs across a complex operating environment. Honor combines technology, operations, and the local expertise of our partner agencies to improve how care is delivered at scale. Our platform supports the caregivers who provide care, the teams who coordinate it, and the families who depend on it. We are looking for a Senior Manager, Data Science to lead a team applying advanced data science and AI to some of Honor’s most important operational challenges. About the role You will lead the development of models and decision systems that improve how Honor matches caregivers and clients, constructs sustainable schedules, allocates capacity, prioritizes operational work, and responds to changing conditions. This is not an analytics support role. Your team will work directly with Product, Engineering, and Care Operations to turn difficult operating problems into production systems that improve measurable outcomes. You will contribute to Honor’s broader Data Science and Applied AI direction, help shape the team’s roadmap, and remain hands-on as a player-coach. What you’ll do Help shape the Data Science and Applied AI roadmap, identifying where predictive modeling, optimization, experimentation, forecasting, causal inference, and modern AI can create the greatest impact. Lead the development of production models and decision-support systems that improve matching, scheduling, operational prioritization, and service reliability. Apply modern AI, including agentic workflows, to improve how teams analyze information, make decisions, and execute operational work. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations from problem definition through deployment, adoption, and iteration. Establish strong standards for evaluating, monitoring, and responsibly deploying machine learning and AI-enabled systems. Lead, coach, and grow the team while remaining hands-on in high-priority projects as a player-coach. Examples of problems you may solve Improving caregiver-client matching while balancing fit, continuity, availability, and travel. Building more reliable and sustainable schedules for caregivers and clients. Using data science and AI to identify operational risks earlier and help teams focus where they can have the greatest impact. About you 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, operations research, applied AI, or a related field, including 3+ years leading teams. Have built or led the development of models or decision systems that operated in production and influenced meaningful business or customer outcomes. Can determine whether a problem calls for prediction, optimization, experimentation, simulation, workflow redesign, an AI agent, or no model at all. Understand that successful applied AI requires more than choosing a model. It requires clear objectives, reliable data and tools, rigorous evaluation, thoughtful system design, and appropriate human oversight. Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Operations, and senior business stakeholders on ambiguous, cross-functional problems. Comfortable working with imperfect operational data while maintaining a high standard for measurement and technical rigor. Can communicate clearly with technical, operational, and executive audiences. Have a bias toward action and an iterative approach to problem-solving. You are willing to inspect the data, understand the workflow, prototype solutions, and revise your view. Are an effective people leader who can set clear expectations, develop talent, prioritize work, and build a strong technical culture. Helpful experience Experience with marketplace, logistics, workforce, scheduling, healthcare, or other complex operating systems is especially valuable, as is experience with optimization, forecasting, recommender systems, causal inference, agentic systems, or AI evaluation. A bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in a quantitative or technical field is welcome, but we care most about demonstrated ability, judgment, leadership, and impact. The mission of the Applied AI team is to help Honor become an organization that learns faster, remembers more, and continuously compounds what it learns over time. We believe the most valuable use of AI at Honor is not isolated task automation, but building durable organizational intelligence: systems that retain operational context, surface relevant prior learning, support better decisions, and help teams turn fragmented insights into repeatable improvements. Honor operates in a deeply relationship-driven industry. The best home care operators personalize service because they remember the details, understand context, and adapt to the situation. At Honor’s scale, that requires thoughtful systems: reliable context, governed access, reusable AI patterns, traceable workflows, and product experiences that help humans and agents make better decisions together. As a Staff Engineer on Applied AI, you will help design, build, and productionize the foundations that make this possible. You may work on systems that power AI-assisted sales follow-up, operational defect analysis, reusable memory and retrieval patterns, internal agentic tools, AI-powered data analysis, schedulable workflows, or closed-loop feedback systems that connect audits, product changes, and measurable business outcomes. You will work closely with engineering, product, design, data, operations, security, and business stakeholders to move quickly while maintaining the discipline needed for production systems. This team is highly exploratory, but the work is not a lab exercise. We are looking for engineers who can turn ambiguous AI opportunities into safe, reliable, measurable product and platform capabilities. We have an exciting runway ahead of us. As AI becomes an operational layer across Honor, we need engineers who can help create the paved roads: secure model access, compliant data pathways, observability, cost controls, evaluation patterns, human-in-the-loop workflows, and reusable architecture that allows teams across Honor to adopt AI without creating long-term fragmentation. About you You thrive in a diverse, cross-functional team, collaborating with design, product management, data, operations, security, and other engineering teams. You are excited by ambiguous, high-leverage problems where the right answer requires both technical judgment and operational empathy. You enjoy building production-grade systems that connect user-facing workflows, backend services, data pipelines, and AI/LLM capabilities. You’ve built and maintained production-grade features in Python, or have transferable experience in common languages like Node.js and are willing to learn Python. You know how to design reliable data models and have used relational databases at scale. You have been a key contributor to the design and implementation of large, complex projects. You are comfortable working in and refactoring legacy, monolithic systems while also designing new services and integration patterns. You are a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, and can explain technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences. You think carefully about quality, observability, privacy, security, and operational risk. You are excited to work with AI systems in a way that is pragmatic, measurable, and grounded in real business outcomes. You are willing to participate in an on-call rotation in collaboration with our tier 1 support team. You have built internal tools, workflow automation, or systems that support operations teams at scale. You are comfortable working with messy operational data and turning it into reliable product or platform capabilities. You have experience designing systems that involve human-in-the-loop review, feedback loops, or measurable quality improvement. You are knowledgeable about microservice architecture and best practices. You have experience working with an RPC architecture. Join us to create a new and better aging experience for our clients, their families, and our Care Professionals. About the Role At Honor, compliance is a competitive advantage—not a gatekeeper. As we expand into new markets, grow our services, and evolve our operating model, our ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into efficient, scalable operations directly enables that growth. We are seeking a Director of Compliance Operations to transform our compliance operations into a proactive function that actively enables Honor’s growth and operational efficiency. Reporting to the VP of Trust & Safety, the Director of Compliance Operations will lead a team of compliance and operations professionals, set the strategic direction for the function, and own day-to-day execution of compliance across the Honor platform. This is a deeply cross-functional role that combines strategy and execution, with regulatory complexity and operational pragmatism, and with people leadership and hands-on problem solving. Success isn't measured simply by maintaining compliance—it's measured by building durable operational systems that make compliance easier, more scalable, and more effective as the business grows. The ideal candidate brings experience working at the intersection of technology and operations—someone who has successfully partnered with Product and Engineering to build tech-enabled solutions, knows how to make a compelling business case for technical investment, and can translate operational requirements into clear product specifications. Strong generalist instincts, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to see the forest and the trees are essential. About the Team The Compliance Operations team enables Honor's growth by transforming regulatory requirements into scalable operational practices. We partner across Regulatory, Product, Operations, Trust & Safety, Training, Market Leadership, and our Home Instead network to ensure Honor can confidently expand into new markets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. As Director of Compliance Operations at Honor, you will: Set the strategic direction for the Compliance Operations function—defining how Honor manages compliance across employment law and home care licensing as we grow into new markets and expand our service offerings. Continuously assess for compliance risk and for opportunities to simplify, streamline, or eliminate operational friction in how we meet regulatory requirements. Own day-to-day compliance execution across all markets, personally stepping in to resolve complex issues while building durable systems and protocols so issues don’t recur. Partner with Product and Engineering to build tech-first, automated solutions that reduce manual compliance effort and scale our operations—including building the business case for technical investment, defining requirements, and driving implementation. Lead state licensing audits and audit-readiness programs end to end—identifying gaps proactively, developing remediation plans, and driving closure across internal and field partner teams. Ensure operational readiness for new markets and service offerings. Translate regulatory changes into clear, actionable operational requirements, ensuring Legal guidance becomes executable protocol across the business. Build and develop a high-performing team of 5–10 compliance and operations professionals, setting clear expectations, developing team members, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Develop and own key compliance metrics and dashboards that give senior leadership clear visibility into risk, operational readiness, and efficiency across all markets. Leadership Principles we’ll assess in this role: Balance Incremental and Radical Change: You operate on two tracks simultaneously. On one, you’re making targeted, practical improvements to close existing compliance gaps and strengthen day-to-day operations. On the other, you’re identifying the larger, system-level changes—in process, technology, or structure—that will make compliance fundamentally more efficient and scalable. You know which track a given problem belongs on, and you move both forward at once. Tend to Be Right and Think Systemically: You make sound, well-informed decisions by balancing compliance risk against business and operational risk—and you’re comfortable holding both at once. When solutions exist on a spectrum, you find the middle ground that protects compliance without unnecessarily constraining growth or the client experience. You think across markets, teams, and the product ecosystem before you act, and your decisions hold up over time. Get S*%t Done: You move quickly and with purpose. You bring enough pattern recognition from prior experience to identify what matters, act independently, and deliver results without waiting for a full roadmap. Identify Problems: You don’t wait for problems to surface—you go looking for them. Through data, deep-dive operational audits, and close attention to what’s happening on the ground, you continuously identify compliance risk, operational risk caused by overly burdensome compliance requirements, and opportunities to improve efficiency. You find root causes, not just symptoms, and you own the solution through to implementation. Core Competencies Technology & Operations Partnership: Proven experience working at the intersection of technology and operations. Knows how to translate ambiguous operational needs into clear product requirements and drive projects through to delivery. Strategic Leadership: Thinks beyond current gaps to define what a mature, proactive compliance function looks like at Honor’s scale—and builds the roadmap to get there. Team Development and Functional Leadership: Experienced people leader with a track record of developing individuals and building high-performing teams. Cross-Functional Influence: Operates effectively across organizational boundaries. Navigates competing priorities, builds durable alignment, and drives execution across stakeholders at all levels. Analytical Rigor: Brings exceptional analytical skills and experience working with large, imperfect data sets to extract meaningful insights. Uses data to identify risk, measure progress, and drive decisions. We’re looking for you to bring: 8–10 years of experience in operations, product operations, or compliance roles within a technology-first or high-growth company—health tech, logistics, or distributed workforce environments are a strong fit. Demonstrated experience working at the intersection of technology and operations, including partnering with Product and Engineering teams to define requirements and deliver solutions. Track record of developing functional areas for scale — building the systems, processes, and team structures that enable the function to get ahead of problems rather than chase them. Exceptional analytical skills with experience working with large, complex, or imperfect data sets; proficiency with data visualization tools and experience developing operational KPIs. Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated people management experience, including developing high-performing teams and managing through ambiguity and change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex regulatory or operational topics for non-expert audiences and senior leadership. Preferred: experience with employment law compliance, home care or healthcare regulation, state licensing, or multi-state regulatory environments. Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary range for this role is $176,400 - $196,000 . Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
