The Role
Hone is looking for a Chief Medical/Longevity Officer to join our leadership team. In this role, you will serve as the clinical and scientific voice of Hone—shaping our longevity medicine strategy, elevating our patient care model, and ensuring that everything we do is grounded in the best available evidence. You will partner cross-functionally with our internal teams to translate cutting-edge longevity science into real outcomes for our patients. This is a unique opportunity to define a category, build something that hasn’t been done before, and leave a genuine mark on how Americans age.
Primary Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to) the following:
Clinical & Scientific Leadership
Define and own Hone’s longevity medicine strategy, including our clinical protocols, therapeutic frameworks, and evidence standards
Serve as the primary scientific voice for Hone’s approach to hormone optimization, metabolic health, gut health, immunity, cardiac care, and other longevity-focused therapeutic areas
Stay at the forefront of longevity science and translate emerging research into actionable clinical insights and product improvements
Oversee the development and continuous improvement of clinical protocols in partnership with Hone-affiliated medical practices
Oversee the integration of clinical protocols into the "Longevity Operating System," which is Hone's proprietary AI tech to drive the clinical decisions to support Patient care
Patient Experience & Care Quality
Champion patient outcomes by establishing clinical quality benchmarks and driving continuous improvement across the care model
Collaborate with Care Team leadership to ensure patient-facing interactions are grounded in empathy, accuracy, and clinical integrity
Identify gaps in the patient journey that represent opportunities to improve health outcomes or patient satisfaction
Organizational Leadership
Serve as a member of Hone’s executive leadership team, contributing to company strategy, culture, and decision-making
Serve as a thought leader and spokesperson for Hone externally, including media, conferences, and strategic partnerships
Build and mentor a team of clinical and scientific advisors as the function scales
Model Hone’s values and people-first culture in all interactions
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Required
MD, DO, or equivalent doctoral-level clinical degree; board certification required
10+ years of clinical experience, with meaningful exposure to longevity medicine, hormone optimization, metabolic health, or a closely related specialty
Demonstrated track record of translating complex scientific concepts into accessible, actionable patient care or consumer-facing content
Prior experience in a leadership role at a healthcare company, digital health platform, or clinical organization
Deep familiarity with the regulatory and compliance environment governing telehealth and direct-to-consumer healthcare
Preferred
Experience working in a high-growth startup or scaling organization
Published research or recognized thought leadership in longevity medicine, functional medicine, or endocrinology
Familiarity with HIPAA, DEA scheduling requirements, and multi-state telehealth regulations
Active medical licensure in multiple US states
Competencies
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Comfortable in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment
Creative problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across functions
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive or board-level audiences
Desire to be hands-on with the work
Deep appreciation for AI, champion its use within clinical workflows, and preferably have experience using it within clinical settings
