They can lead unlimited, simultaneous conversations 24/7, meeting buyers when they’re most active and engaged. Superhumans qualify leads, book meetings, deliver pitches, give interactive demos, handle objections, uncover pain points, build value models, provide support, and onboard customers. They live across websites, inside your product, can join live calls as active participants, and work alongside your team in deal rooms. 1mind Superhumans integrate seamlessly into existing workflows, scale instantly, and drive measurable impact — growing revenue, reducing headcount, accelerating pipeline to closed-won, and creating a more delightful buyer experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineering Lead to build 1mind’s forward deployed motion from the ground up. This is one of the most important hires we’re making right now — the person who fills it will define how our newest products land inside customer environments and will set the technical bar for a function we expect to scale rapidly.
You’ll embed directly with customers to deploy 1mind’s AI Superhumans into their live web applications — ramping quickly on unfamiliar products, working deep in the DOM and browser rendering layer, and building the automation that makes our agents perform reliably across every surface a buyer touches. You’ll own deployments end-to-end: scoping, building, shipping, and iterating alongside customer teams until the product delivers measurable value.
This is a senior, hands-on technical lead role. You’ll start as the anchor engineer on our flagship deployment, then expand the motion across our existing customer base — codifying playbooks, shaping the tooling, and laying the foundation for the forward deployed organization we build around you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end forward deployments of 1mind’s products — from technical scoping and system design through production rollout inside customer web environments.
- Ramp rapidly on unfamiliar web applications, tracing and debugging HTML/DOM and rendering issues across static, server-rendered, and client-rendered architectures.
- Build and maintain robust UI automation using Playwright, Puppeteer, and Chrome DevTools Protocol to drive reliable agent behavior across desktop and mobile, and across Chrome/Chromium, Firefox, Safari/WebKit, and Edge.
- Work hands-on with the AI orchestration layer — prompts, retrieval, and agent configuration — to tune Superhuman behavior for each customer’s product and workflows.
- Handle real-world auth and web state — cookies, sessions, tokens, and local/session storage — to make deployments secure and resilient.
- Serve as the senior technical partner to customer engineering teams: run technical discovery, translate business needs into deployment plans, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Codify what works into repeatable playbooks, internal tooling, and documentation that make every subsequent deployment faster.
- Feed deployment insights back into the product roadmap, working closely with engineering and product leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Significant hands-on front-end engineering experience building and shipping production web applications — a must for this role.
- Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals, with deep working knowledge of HTML elements and the accessibility tree (ARIA).
- Deep expertise in the DOM and browser rendering pipelines — static, SSR, and CSR — and comfort debugging rendering issues in the browser console and dev tools.
- Deep production experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Svelte).
- Production experience with UI automation tooling: Playwright, Puppeteer, or Chrome DevTools Protocol.
- Solid grasp of authentication and web state: cookies, sessions, tokens, and local/session storage.
- Working knowledge of AI/LLM systems — prompting, retrieval, and orchestration — and genuine curiosity about deploying agents in production.
- Proven ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar web applications and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving customer environments.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills; comfortable leading technical conversations with customer engineering teams.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Preferred
- Experience in a forward deployed, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role at a high-growth AI or developer-facing company.
- Experience building browser extensions or working deeply with the Chrome extension ecosystem.
- Cross-platform automation experience spanning desktop and mobile browsers.
- Deeper experience with RAG pipelines, agent frameworks, or AI orchestration layers.
- Experience creating playbooks, tooling, or processes that scaled a technical function beyond yourself.
WHY JOIN US?
- We’re completely transforming how companies go to market — scaling revenue beyond human capacity.
- Build a brand-new function from the ground up and define how a category-defining product lands with customers.
- Work alongside a top-tier, high-ownership team during a rapid growth phase.
- High visibility, high impact role — with room to grow into leading the forward deployed organization as we scale.

San Francisco, CA.

About the role:
You will be responsible for developing optimal prompts and context management strategies for a variety of tasks involving large language models (LLMs) for our customers. You will work closely with our Customer Success and Services team to tweak prompts, troubleshoot bugs, and assist with implementing our platform. This includes reviewing conversations with our Superhumans and reviewing feedback in order to edit and author complex, dynamic prompts within our dialogue platform. You will also document your work and teach others within the company. As the landscape evolves and the company grows, we expect this role to adapt accordingly. We're looking for someone who is eager to grow with us, become the company expert in this area, and proactively lead initiatives once up to speed. We are especially focused on candidates with prompting and writing/copy-heavy experience, even if you are less technical on the coding side.
Responsibilities
- Research, Document, Test, and Ideate: Explore the best ways to achieve our customers’ goals using LLMs and other AI tools.
- Master Our Dialogue Platform: Become an expert, answer questions, and train others on prompting both within and outside of our platform.
- Train Our AIs: Utilize prompting, knowledge-base creation, and fine-tuning to enhance our AI capabilities.
- Prototype Development: Create small-scale prototypes using Python and low-code automation tools to test complex prompting and data workflows.
- Multi-Media Prompting: Develop prompting strategies and workflows that include various types of media (images, video, etc.), with a focus on LLMs and text embedding models.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in AI, LLMs, natural language processing, conversation design, or related fields.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to quickly produce impeccable write-ups or slideshows documenting your work.
- Mastery of LLM Prompting: Strong experience with LLM prompting, particularly with OpenAI and Anthropic models. This includes hands-on experience with APIs and mastery over prompt parameters and components—not just using ChatGPT or Claude.
- Basic Coding Skills: Proficiency in Python for quick prototyping. Comfort with interacting with APIs and incorporating them into your prototypes.
- Low-Code Automation Tools: Experience with low-code automation tools such as Zapier, Retool, or Make (formerly Integromat) is a plus.
- Additional Skills: Copywriting, data science, and software engineering skills are a plus
Qualities:
- Attention to Detail: You notice the small things that others might miss.
- Creativity: You love hacking together prototypes and exploring new ways of doing things.
- Phenomenal Communicator: Excellent at documentation and conveying complex ideas clearly.
- Critical Thinker: Able to quickly understand and master new concepts and solve problems effectively.
Details:
- Location: Fully remote position with optional workspaces available in New York City and San Francisco, California.
- Working Hours: Must be available to work standard Eastern Time business hours (9 AM to 5 PM ET).
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $150,000 USD, depending on experience. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
- Employment Type: Full-time preferred, but contract work may be available.
