Location Requirement
We believe the best ideas happen together. To support fast collaboration and a strong team culture, this role is expected to be in our Palo Alto office five days a week, unless otherwise specified.
About the Role
As a Deployment Strategist, you’ll work as part of a driven and creative team of Engineers, Product Designers, and other Deployment Strategists to deploy our AI against the most important problems in healthcare delivery.
Your mission is to synthesize disconnected streams of thought into an understanding of what the most important problem is, what the data means, what the product needs, what users are motivated by, and where the impact could be. You’ll immerse yourself in our customers’ most intricate workflows—across life sciences—and plunge into the product landscape to enable us to scale.
This role requires a curious and analytical approach, a sharp intuition for the product, and a strong degree of user insight to ultimately empower our customers to improve decisions and patient outcomes. You may spend multiple days per week onsite at client locations.
Beyond initial deployment, you will own the long-term success of your accounts—blending the responsibilities of a customer success manager with those of a strategist. You will be the primary relationship owner for your life sciences customers, driving adoption, retention, renewal, and expansion while serving as their trusted advisor across the full lifecycle.
This role is dedicated to the life sciences sector—MedTech, medical devices, biotech, and pharma. You will become deeply fluent in how these organizations operate, from R&D and clinical development through commercialization, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and post-market patient engagement, and you will tailor every deployment to the realities of a highly regulated, scientifically rigorous industry.
What You’ll Do
Go onsite and meet with senior client leaders, and operational teams to understand the critical questions they need to answer and locate their biggest problems.
Identify relevant datasets, workflows, and operational bottlenecks through deep engagement with customer problems.
Own end-to-end customer deployments: workflow discovery, solution design, configuration, rollout, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
Work with Forward Deployed Engineers to integrate data into stable and extensible pipelines and ensure smooth technical execution.
Build customized workflows for new user groups across patient services, clinical operations, contact centers, and HCP enablement.
Lead training sessions to ensure the product is meeting user needs and having concrete impact on operations and patient care.
Drive analytics on deployment performance—measure outcomes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend data-driven improvements.
Present the results of our work and proposals for future work to audiences ranging from Directors to C-suite executives.
Embed with our Product and Engineering teams to incorporate what you see in the field into cross-company product offerings.
Build and deliver demos to new and existing customers.
Manage stakeholder relationships from project teams to executives, acting as a trusted advisor and execution partner.
Scope out potential expansion opportunities within existing accounts and new use cases.
Serve as the dedicated customer success owner for your life sciences accounts—building executive relationships, running quarterly business reviews, and driving adoption, retention, and renewals.
Define and track success metrics and ROI tied to each customer’s scientific, clinical, and commercial goals, and proactively surface risks before they affect health and renewal.
Tailor deployments to life sciences use cases across MedTech, medical devices, biotech, and pharma—such as patient and HCP engagement, clinical trial recruitment, adherence, medical information and field support, and device onboarding.
Partner with customers’ regulatory, quality, medical affairs, and compliance teams to ensure deployments meet life sciences standards (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, FDA, and EMA expectations).
Act as the voice of the life sciences customer internally—channeling sector-specific needs back to Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap.
What We Require
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
5+ years of experience in life sciences consulting and customer-facing strategy + implementation
Demonstrated experience leading complex implementations or customer engagements in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills—comfort with data, metrics, and using analytics to drive decisions.
Experience with programming, scripting, or analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse audiences (clinical staff, IT, executives).
Comfort operating autonomously in client-embedded environments with minimal oversight.
Ability to travel 25–50%, including overnight and out-of-state trips.
A generalist across, or an expert in, one of the life sciences fields - clinical trials, patient services, HCP enablement, med devices, or other.
A customer-success mindset—ownership of adoption, retention, and account health—paired with the strategic and technical depth to drive complex deployments.
Nice-to-Have
Familiarity with life sciences data standards and workflows.
Background at companies with forward-deployed models or top life sciences consulting firms.
Experience deploying or scaling AI, ML, or enterprise SaaS products.
Startup experience and comfort building from scratch.
Experience presenting outcomes and best practices at conferences or executive forums
Prior customer success, account management, or renewals experience, ideally owning a book of enterprise accounts.
Familiarity with life sciences regulations and frameworks such as GxP, GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and FDA/EMA submission and pharmacovigilance processes.

The Opportunity
Nursing is where patient care happens. Nurses know what patients need, what works in real clinical environments, and how AI can actually help. At Hippocratic AI, we're building AI systems that earn the trust of nurses and clinicians because they're designed with clinical reality in mind from the start. You'll be the clinical voice shaping that design—ensuring our systems are accurate, safe, and actually useful to the people delivering care.
At Hippocratic AI, we're different. We're building the only generative AI platform designed for safe, autonomous clinical conversations with patients. Our 99.9%+ accuracy isn't accidental—it's earned through rigorous clinical validation by experienced nurses and clinicians who understand real-world care.
We need a Clinical Product Specialist (RN) who can bridge the gap between clinical reality and AI capability. You'll be the voice of frontline nursing in our product and ML teams, working alongside leaders to validate, test, and continuously improve our medical large language models (LLMs). You'll execute clinical validation protocols, author test cases and gold standards, and provide clinical insights that shape product decisions. You'll travel 25-40% to health systems and user research—staying connected to real clinical workflows and learning how our platform performs in the field.
This is hands-on, high-impact work where you'll grow your product muscles while making clinical safety your specialty. You'll own execution. You'll contribute strategic thinking. And you'll be part of a team that treats clinical integrity as our most important feature.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
Validation Protocol Execution: You've successfully executed 2-3 full clinical validation cycles—from protocol design (with guidance from your lead) through systematic testing to documentation and recommendations for improvement.
Gold Standards Library: You've authored or co-authored 30-50 test cases, rubrics, and reference answers for clinical scenarios. You understand the difference between a good test case and a great one. Your work is used by engineering teams to benchmark model performance.
Clinical Gap Identification: Through hands-on testing and analysis, you've identified 5-10 clinical inaccuracies, edge cases, or safety concerns in the model. You've documented them clearly and worked with senior team members to prioritize fixes.
Product Contribution: You've participated in 3-4 product discussions where your clinical input changed a decision—whether that's safety rail design, dialog flow changes, or escalation criteria. You're comfortable speaking up about clinical concerns in technical rooms.
Health System Connection: You've visited 2-3 health systems to observe real patient interactions with our platform. You've gathered direct feedback from nurses and patients. You've synthesized observations into clear clinical insights for the team.
Learning in Public: You've grown your understanding of LLMs, clinical validation frameworks, and product development. You can explain model capabilities and limitations to other clinicians. You're asking better questions and connecting clinical problems to technical solutions.
Quality Mindset: You've developed a rigorous approach to clinical testing. You know what "good" looks like. You've caught issues before release. You take ownership of clinical accuracy and safety.
Your Core Responsibilities
Clinical Validation & Testing

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with ML researchers, product managers, and QA teams to understand model capabilities and testing priorities.
Communicate clinical findings clearly to technical audiences—translating clinical language into technical language and vice versa.
Ask smart questions and learn how product decisions get made. Bring a clinical lens to technical discussions.
Contribute to clinical documentation, safety validation reports, and regulatory submissions (with guidance).
Location Requirement
We believe the best ideas happen together. To support fast collaboration and a strong team culture, this role is expected to be in our Menlo Park office five days a week, unless otherwise specified.
What You Bring
Must-Have
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (BSN, BA, BS, or equivalent).
Active, unrestricted Nursing License (RN) in your practicing state.
3+ years of clinical nursing experience in acute, ambulatory, telehealth, or community settings. You understand patient care, clinical workflows, and what nurses need.
Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills. You know how to talk to patients, when to escalate, and how to build trust in high-stakes scenarios.
Experience with language models or conversational AI. You've used LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.), interacted with clinical tools, or worked with voice/conversational systems. You're comfortable learning how they work.
Excellent written and verbal communication. You can explain medical concepts clearly to both clinical and technical audiences. You can document findings precisely.
Commitment to patient safety and clinical ethics. You take privacy, accuracy, and regulatory compliance seriously. You're familiar with HIPAA/PHI and understand the stakes.
Growth mindset. You're curious about product, validation, and AI. You're excited to learn how these intersect. You're not defensive about feedback—you want to get better.
Intellectual rigor. You care about precision. You can think systematically about problems. You notice patterns and edge cases. You ask "why?" and dig deeper.
Nice-to-Have
Background in nursing informatics, quality/safety, or clinical education.
Familiarity with clinical guidelines, evidence-based practice, or patient education.
Experience with clinical validation, quality assurance, or testing frameworks.
Some exposure to healthcare tech, digital health, or clinical AI environments.

Location Requirement
We believe the best ideas happen together. To support fast collaboration and a strong team culture, this role is expected to be in our Palo Alto office five days a week.
About the Role
Hippocratic AI is looking for a Senior Actuary to join our G&A team, reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer. This role is central to how we engage with payor partners — you’ll build the actuarial models, risk analyses, and economic frameworks that demonstrate the clinical and financial value of our AI platform to health plans and managed care organizations.
You’ll work at the intersection of healthcare economics, data science, and business strategy — translating complex claims and utilization data into insights that shape how Hippocratic AI prices, contracts, and proves ROI for payor customers. This is a high-impact, foundational role in a fast-moving company where your work will directly influence our go-to-market strategy with health plans.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain actuarial models to quantify the clinical and financial impact of Hippocratic AI’s platform for payor partners, including projected cost savings, utilization changes, and return on investment.
Develop pricing frameworks and risk-sharing models for payor contracts, including value-based, capitated, and performance-guarantee arrangements.
Analyze medical and pharmacy claims data, utilization trends, and population health metrics to support business development conversations and contract negotiations.
Create financial projections and scenario analyses that inform go-to-market strategy for Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, and commercial payor segments.
Partner closely with Business Development, Product, Clinical, and Finance teams to translate actuarial insights into compelling payor-facing materials, proposals, and case studies.
Monitor post-implementation outcomes and perform experience studies to validate model assumptions and demonstrate ongoing value to payor customers.
Stay current on healthcare regulatory changes, reimbursement trends, and industry benchmarks that affect payor economics and contract structures.
What You Bring
Must-Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline from an accredited institution
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
10+ years of actuarial experience in health insurance, managed care, or healthcare consulting.
Deep expertise in medical/pharmacy claims analysis, rate development, reserving, or risk adjustment (e.g., HCC models).
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or actuarial modeling tools (e.g., GGY AXIS, MG-ALFA, or similar).
Experience building financial models for value-based care, capitation, or performance-based contracting.
Strong communication skills — ability to translate actuarial concepts for non-technical stakeholders, including business development and executive leadership.
Commitment to safety, ethics, and patient-centered outcomes.
Intellectual curiosity and mission alignment.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, or ACA marketplace actuarial work.
Exposure to healthcare AI, digital health, or health technology companies.
Experience at a startup or high-growth company where you wore multiple hats.
Familiarity with CMS risk adjustment methodologies and HEDIS/quality metrics.
