Job Description:
The Autonomous Pilot Integration team for launched effects builds autonomy solutions for small, often air- or ground-launched platforms that operate in multi-agent fleets and frequently in disconnected or air-gapped environments. We combine capabilities from the Autonomy Capabilities team (motion planning, tactics), the Perception team (e.g., track fusion), and the HivemindSDK to develop the autonomy software that runs on launched effects platforms, then integrate, validate, and field it on the real hardware — for U.S. and international defense customers. Our engineers write new autonomy code — such as mission behaviors, platform-specific control, multi-agent coordination, contingencies, and executive autonomy — and own it end-to-end from software-in-the-loop, to hardware-in-the-loop, to vehicle-in-the-loop, to live test exercise.
In this role, you'll lead a team of autonomy engineers working on launched effects programs — owning their delivery, their growth, and the technical health of your area. A core part of the job is growing the team: hiring strong engineers, mentoring them through hard technical work, and shaping their career development. You'll stay technically active — close enough to the code and the integration work to make sound technical decisions, to be credible to your team, and to lead them through the design, development, and delivery of a major capability or program. You'll partner closely with the Autonomy Capabilities and Perception teams, feature crews, autopilot vendors (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot), C2 providers, and customer/contractor partners that staff and operate alongside our team. This portfolio runs at a fast cadence — frequent Capability Release milestones, multi-agent fleet operations, air-gapped deployments at scale, and demanding live exercises — and you'll set the pace for your team accordingly.
Shield AI is committed to developing cutting-edge autonomy for unmanned platforms across every operating domain — air, maritime, space, and effects/expendables — in service of the U.S. Department of Defense and our international defense customers. Our Autonomous Pilot Integration engineers bridge the gap between R&D and deployment, ensuring autonomous systems function reliably and effectively wherever and whenever they're needed most.
\n
What you'll do:
Lead the Team — Manage a small-to-mid-sized engineering team (typically 3–8 engineers); own performance, growth, leveling, and delivery; run 1:1s, performance reviews, and team rituals.
Grow the Team via Hiring — Drive hiring for your area: identify the skills you need, partner with recruiting, run interviews, set the bar, and personally close strong candidates.
Grow Engineers Technically — Mentor engineers through hard problems; create stretch opportunities; give direct, actionable technical feedback; help engineers level up in both skill and impact.
Develop & Field Autonomy — Develop & integrate autonomy software solutions onto launched effects platforms, including payload computer bring-up, autopilot integration (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot), multi-agent coordination, and fleet-scale deployment to disconnected or air-gapped environments — and lead a small team through the design, development, and delivery of a major capability or program.
Technical Leadership — Lead a small feature crew or sub-program; set technical direction, break down work, unblock the team, and report progress to leadership and stakeholders.
Collaboration Across Teams & Partners — Act as a primary technical interface with the Autonomy Capabilities team (motion planning, tactics), the Perception team, feature crews, autopilot vendors (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot), C2 providers, and customer/contractor partners (including embedded contractor engineers and U.S. or international government program offices); author and negotiate ICDs and interface contracts rather than just consume them.
Design & Documentation — Drive design reviews, ICDs, and post-mortems for your area; push the team toward higher rigor and close process gaps that span teams.
Pre-deployment Preparation — Own the build, configuration, and validation process for mission-ready systems and fleet-scale deployments (often 50–150+ units in disconnected environments); coordinate hardware/software compatibility, mission readiness, and Capability Release (CR) cadence with capability and feature teams.
On-site Test & Mission Support — Travel to test sites and customer exercises to support live mission operations (flight tests, range exercises, multi-agent live events, customer demonstrations), including safety checks, system bring-up, and troubleshooting under time-critical constraints.
Hardware/Software Debugging — Diagnose and resolve integration issues across complex autonomy stacks, payload computers, and embedded systems in lab and field environments — including memory, CPU, and timing profiling under operationally-representative loads.
Mission Data & Debrief Support — Capture mission and test data, reproduce issues in simulation, and partner with autonomy capability owners to drive fixes back into the next build.
Continuous Improvement — Build tools and processes to improve integration timelines, test/mission reliability, and team efficiency across deployment cycles.
C2 Interoperability & Standards — Own the interface contracts with C2 providers and drive compliance against common message and open-systems standards (e.g., UCI, OMS, MOSA, WOSA, TAK/CoT).
Travel Requirement – Members of this team typically travel around 20-30% of the year (to different office locations, customer sites, range exercises, and integration events).
Required qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and/or similar degree, or equivalent practical experience
Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 years and a Master's degree; or 4 years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of direct people-management experience (running 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring decisions, growth planning).
Demonstrated experience building or growing an engineering team — including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new engineers.
Track record of mentoring engineers and growing their technical skill and career trajectory.
Demonstrated experience leading a small technical team or owning a major capability from design through field delivery.
Experience authoring or negotiating interface contracts / ICDs with internal or external stakeholders.
Direct experience with launched effects, loitering munitions, expendable autonomous systems, or comparable small unmanned platforms.
Experience with multi-agent, swarm, or fleet-scale autonomy.
Strong proficiency in C++, with experience developing or integrating real-time or latency-sensitive systems.
Proficiency in Linux-based development and experience working with embedded systems, shell scripting, and system diagnostics.
Familiarity with middleware, pub-sub, or IPC frameworks used in autonomy or robotics systems (e.g., DDS, message buses).
Hands-on experience supporting live exercises, customer demonstrations, or operational test events for launched effects or similar small unmanned systems.
Experience with autonomy simulation environments for testing and validation.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance across the full stack.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Preferred qualifications:
Direct experience with PX4 and/or ArduPilot at the platform integration level.
Experience using and developing on QGroundControl (QGC) or other Qt-based ground control stations.
Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and analysis.
Experience leading a feature crew, sub-program, or small team in an unmanned systems context.
Experience growing engineers from mid-level into senior IC, or supporting promotion decisions through a leveling framework.
Experience with air-gapped, disconnected, or otherwise constrained deployment of autonomous systems at fleet scale.
Familiarity with tactical edge C2 (e.g., TAK, CoT) and ground operator workflows.
Experience working with embedded contractor engineers, FFRDC partners, or customer-funded staff augmentation models.
Experience supporting international defense customer programs (FMS or direct commercial sales).
Experience owning customer- or partner-facing technical relationships (e.g., autopilot vendors, C2 providers, government program offices).
Track record of cross-team improvements (process, rigor, documentation, or developer experience).
Familiarity with autonomy stacks, motion planning, or vehicle-control integration.
Competence in avionics bring-up, payload computer integration, or hardware-in-the-loop debugging.
Experience with container orchestration (e.g., k3s, k3d, Docker) on embedded or payload compute.
Proficiency in developing automation tools for system testing, logging, and data parsing.
Build-system experience (e.g., Conan, CMake) and CI/CD pipeline familiarity.
Comfortable interfacing with DoD stakeholders during field events or technical reviews.
Experience with common message and open-systems standards such as UCI, OMS, MOSA, or WOSA.

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.

Head of National Strategic Accounts
Ambience Healthcare · San Francisco, California, United States
About Us:
Here at Ambience, we never set out to be just another scribe. We’re building the AI intelligence platform that restores humanity to healthcare and drives meaningful ROI for health systems across the country.
Our technology helps providers focus on delivering great care by removing the administrative burden that pulls them away from patients and away from their most impactful work. Ambience delivers real-time coding-aware documentation and clinical workflow support across ambulatory, emergency and inpatient settings at the top health systems in North America.
Our teams operate relentlessly with extreme ownership to build the best solutions for our health system partners. We value candor, positivity and deep thought — and we expect a lot from each other because we know the problems we’re solving truly matter.
Ambience was ranked #1 for Improving the Clinician Experience in the KLAS Research Emerging Solutions Top 20 Report, recognized by Fast Company as one of the Next Big Things in Tech, named one of the best AI companies in healthcare by Inc., and selected as a LinkedIn Top Startup in 2024 and 2025. We’re backed by Oak HC/FT, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), OpenAI Startup Fund, and Kleiner Perkins — and we’re just getting started.
About the Role
We are hiring a Head of National Strategic Accounts to own how Ambience breaks into and wins the largest, most complex health system accounts in the country. This is a hands-on player/coach role where you are personally involved in the deals that matter most, helping to accelerate them through relationships, creativity, and presence while raising the ceiling on the revenue team's ability to navigate whale accounts.
You bring deep strategic deal expertise, C-suite credibility, and a pattern library of what it takes to win eight-figure health system partnerships. You transfer that expertise through active deal involvement and coaching, not from the sidelines. This is a rare chance to define how Ambience wins its largest health systems. Your impact compounds: not just through the deals you personally drive, but through the frameworks and coaching infrastructure you build that lift the entire revenue team's game on complex accounts.
What You'll Do
- Carry the work yourself, not just oversee it. You will personally own one self-sourced strategic account end to end as its DRI, and stay hands-on alongside reps across the four to five most complex active deals, coaching from inside the deal rather than from the sidelines
- Serve as Ambience's expert on how to structure, navigate, and win mega deals with large health systems. You will architect the account strategies, stakeholder maps, and deal structures the team executes against, and stay personally engaged in the deals where your presence or relationships change the outcome
- Open doors- leverage an existing network of health system C-suite executives to accelerate Ambience's access at target accounts, and bring the team into those relationships rather than handing them off
- Build the operating cadence and deal review process that lets the team triage strategic deals in real time
- Work cross-functionally with Value Attainment, Clinical Solutions, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to coordinate on strategic accounts and ensure every deal has the right internal resources behind it
- Actively manage and coach the strategic accounts team and build out the team structure, hiring plan, and operating model over time
Requirements
- 12+ years in enterprise healthcare sales or strategic account leadership, with significant experience in deals with the largest health systems in the country
- Demonstrated track record of involvement in closing $5M+ deals with multi-stakeholder, multi-year sales cycles — whether personally leading or architecting the strategy that got the deal done
- Deep C-suite relationships across health system leadership (CEO, CMO, CIO, CFO) that you can activate on day one
- Experience navigating complex health system procurement, including IT governance, clinical governance, legal review, and board-level approvals
- Strong understanding of health system operations, clinical workflows, and the healthcare technology landscape
- Experience building, mentoring, or significantly elevating a strategic accounts or enterprise sales team — not just carrying a personal book
Nice to Haves
- Experience selling clinical AI, ambient documentation, or clinical decision support solutions
- Background in health system consulting or advisory
- Experience with gainshare or performance-based contract structures
- Track record competing against and displacing Epic, Nuance/DAX, or other incumbent clinical documentation vendors
Pay Transparency
We offer a base compensation range of approximately $250,000 – $300,000 per year, exclusive of variable pay and equity.
This intentionally broad range provides flexibility for candidates to tailor their cash and equity mix based on individual preferences. Our compensation philosophy prioritizes meaningful equity grants, enabling team members to share directly in the impact they help create.
Are you outside of the range? We encourage you to still apply: we take an individualized approach to ensure that compensation accounts for all of the life factors that matter for each candidate.
Life at Ambience
Working at Ambience means opting into a high-ownership, high-trust environment built for people who want to grow fast, operate decisively and focus on work that matters. This could be the right place for you if you want to
- Work on mission-critical AI technology that directly improves clinicians’ day-to-day lives and health system financial health across some of the most complex, high-stakes workflows in the world.
- Join a “dream team” culture where we hire exceptional people, expect exceptional outcomes and invest deeply in feedback and continuous growth. We operate as a championship team, and that means being ok with hard, uncomfortable, ambiguous problems that lead to real greatness.
- Operate with real ownership and accountability in an environment where there are no bystanders: If something is broken, we fix it! You will have meaningful autonomy and be expected to drive work to completion.
To help you do your best work, we pair these expectations with benefits intentionally designed to help you feel supported and safe at Ambience and beyond. Some of our key benefits include
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents
- 401(k) with a company match of up to 3% of base salary
- A remote-friendly culture (with a San Francisco HQ) and full equipment provisioning to ensure you can work effectively from wherever you’re based.
- Parental leave to support your family needs
- Annual company-wide off-sites, team off-sites and regular team lunches and all-hands gatherings, with travel, lodging and meals covered
- Flexible time off with no annual cap, company-wide holidays and an annual holiday shutdown from December 24–January 1 designed to support real rest and long-term sustainability.
Ambience Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other legally protected status. Ambience is committed to supporting every candidate’s ability to fully participate in our hiring process. ABOUT THE ROLE
*Preferable to have someone near an office in NYC or San Francisco, but open to hiring anywhere in the US.
Runway's Developer Platform (RunwayDev) is the best place for developers to build with AI media models, with customers ranging from the world’s software companies, to enterprises and agencies, to vibe-coders. RunwayDev provides a single gateway to integrate with the best image, video, audio, and real-time models. Our vision is to be the developer platform behind all creative work: one place to call the best model for any creative task, with the best quality output.
RunwayDev serves not only Runway’s first-party frontier models (Gen-4.5, Aleph, Act-Two), but also provides day-zero access to a curated set of best-in-class third-party models, and intelligent routing that no aggregator can match.
We're hiring a Product Leader to own the Developer Platform business end-to-end. You'll own the API revenue number, create the platform strategy, prioritize the portfolio of bets, and serve as the single front door for this business across the company. You'll start deeply hands-on as the primary PM, and grow a strong team as the business scales.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the developer platform business. Drive the revenue goals for the developer platform (API ARR), along with the full funnel of developer signups, activation (first task), weekly active developer accounts, and developer NPS.
- Create and drive the strategy. Articulate and drive the portfolio of bets that make Runway the platform of choice for developers integrating media models. Co-develop strategy with leadership and partners, then make clear, ambitious calls on where to invest and what to cut.
- Win professional developers. Land and grow agencies, software tools, and platform partners. Partner with our internal deployment teams to ensure developers are successful with the platform.
- Ship, hands-on. Talk to developers every week, ship your own PRs and reference integrations, and partner tightly with engineering, design, DevRel, PMM, and partnerships. You'll be in the details daily and shipping regularly.
- Build the team. Start as the primary IC DRI and hire PMs underneath you as the business grows, raising the bar on outcome orientation as you scale.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 7+ years in product management, preferably leading a developer-facing or platform/API product at meaningful scale. A track record of moving revenue and adoption metrics, not just shipping features.
- You thrive in an environment with rapid pace and a high accountability culture. You move very fast, make decisions with incomplete information, and instinctively gravitate towards shipping today, not writing docs for tomorrow.
- A GM mindset. You think in terms of the business, not just the roadmap. You're fluent in the economics of a usage-based / consumption API business, comfortable owning a P&L-style number, and you instinctively tie every bet to a hypothesis about how it moves the business.
- Deep developer-product craft. Hands-on experience with API and SDK design, developer onboarding and activation, docs and DevRel, and usage-based pricing and packaging. You know what a great developer experience feels like and you've personally driven the loop.
- Strong technical fluency and customer obsession. You can earn the trust of a discerning developer audience — talk credibly about latency, cost, reliability, and integration ergonomics. Experience with inference platforms, infrastructure, or AI media products is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. You can make a sharp, written argument and tell a compelling launch story. You confidently assess the state of the business, call out challenges and articulate your plans to solve them

This role directly impacts mission readiness, combat effectiveness, aircraft survivability, and program execution by ensuring weapon systems are successfully integrated, tested, and fielded to operational users.
The engineer will work across the full lifecycle from requirements development through flight test, helping reduce integration risk, accelerate capability delivery, and improve overall mission system performance.
Listed by Shield AI for a position based in the United States. Employers on this board attest they are hiring domestically.

ABOUT THE ROLE
*Open to hiring remote across North America + Europe — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, and Seattle
We are hiring for our first Developer Relations lead. This role is for someone who lives at the intersection of code and creativity – deeply technical, genuinely plugged into the generative AI space, and excited to build the developer community around putting frontier media models to use. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role with real influence over how developers experience Runway. You will own the end-to-end developer experience – driving awareness, activation, and long-term engagement among the creative technologists and engineers building on the Runway Dev platform. Success in this role requires a blend of technical depth, creative sensibility, and a genuine enthusiasm for where generative AI is going.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Produce Content That Gets Developers Building
- Produce high-quality tutorials, demos, sample repos, and technical walkthroughs that showcase what's possible with media models
- Own social and X content strategy for the developer audience – rapid demos, creative experiments, prompting tips, and technical threads
- Run regular developer communications including email newsletters, changelogs, and recurring developer office hours
- Prototype creative, targeted content that meets developers where they are
- Build & Energize the Creative Developer Community
- Lead hackathons, sponsorships, and developer events end-to-end – from concept and logistics to execution and follow-through
- Build and nurture a community of creative technologists, researchers, and developers pushing the boundaries of generative video and image
- Represent Runway at conferences, meetups, and online communities; be a recognizable and trusted presence in the generative AI developer ecosystem
- Surface developer sentiment, emerging use cases, and market signals back to internal teams to inform product direction
- Optimize the Developer Funnel.
- Optimize the full developer funnel from awareness to activation; drive adoption and engagement across our Runway Dev user base with a structured, data-informed engagement strategy
- Partner with product & design to create onboarding experiences that get developers from zero to their first successful API build in minutes
- Identify high-potential developers through usage and spend signals and route them into the right engagement tracks
- Track, analyze, and report on developer funnel metrics and API engagement using BI tools and data
- Champion Developers Internally
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the developer community; be genuinely accessible, responsive, and useful
- Build a tight, structured feedback loop between developers and the Product and Engineering teams – surface trends, flag blockers, and advocate for developer needs
- Partner with Marketing and GTM to create developer-focused activation campaigns that resonate with a technical, creative audience
- Define and track success metrics tied to developer activation, API engagement, and community growth
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, or a highly technical, community-facing role; ideally within AI/ML, creative tech, or a research-adjacent organization
- Deep, hands-on familiarity with generative video and image models; you've built with them, you experiment constantly, and you follow this space closely
- Comfort operating in a startup environment. You've built programs, communities, or developer motions from scratch and know how to create structure and momentum without a playbook to follow.
- Strong engineering fundamentals: you can build demos independently, debug API integrations, and speak credibly with technical audiences
- A genuine creative sensibility – you understand the needs of designers, filmmakers, and creative technologists, not just traditional software engineers, and you move fluidly between those worlds
- Proven track record of driving developer community growth and API adoption with measurable outcomes
- Experience producing developer-facing content across formats: documentation, video demos, short-form social, and live technical presentations
- Deep enthusiasm for generative AI; you stay close to the technology, build with it, and have a strong point of view on where it's going
