Senior Cryptocurrency Intelligence Scientist
Do you want to be one of only a handful of people in the world able to programmatically detect and investigate complex on-chain criminal activity? Are you excited about deploying your data science skills at the cutting edge of cryptocurrency intelligence? Are you looking for a values-led company that trusts you to push the boundaries of what is possible in blockchain analytics?
The impact you'll have:
Join Elliptic's Intelligence team at the intersection of data science and blockchain analytics. As a Senior Cryptocurrency Intelligence Scientist at IC4 (Senior) level, you will become a go-to authority on on-chain attribution and threat characterisation, developing deep expertise in identifying patterns associated with specific entities, complex laundering techniques, and emerging criminal typologies. Your work will directly strengthen the intelligence dataset that underpins Elliptic's products, guiding our intelligence collection strategy and helping hundreds of financial institutions, exchanges, and government agencies understand and manage crypto-related financial crime risk. You will coach colleagues, collaborate across functions, and help deliver actionable intelligence to public-sector partners and the wider crypto industry.
What you will do:
Develop and own an expert understanding of identity and non-identity signals and data points necessary to characterise complex on-chain threats, going beyond wallet ownership to understand behavioural patterns, transactional rhythms, routing choices, bridge usage, and smart contract interaction patterns.
Lead end-to-end complex research and investigation efforts, from scoping and data collection through to written output, presenting findings rigorously and confidently to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Evaluate Elliptic's attribution coverage across threat areas and lead projects that define and prioritise intelligence collection efforts, identifying where gaps are most material and driving durable remediation.
Develop processes and tooling that empower analysts and data scientists to actively contribute to the development of straightforward heuristics, including documentation standards, peer review processes, and monitoring for drift or degradation.
Maintain an opinionated, well-evidenced view of the future of cryptocurrency, the evolution of criminal typologies, and the emergence of new obfuscation techniques, and translate that into actionable intelligence priorities.
Summarise conclusions from your work into reports, briefings, and marketing content, calibrating depth and framing to the target audience.
Work closely with the Principal Cryptocurrency Intelligence Scientist and Professional Services team to deliver actionable intelligence to government partners and the broader crypto industry.
Build and invest in strong working relationships across Elliptic and develop good external relationships within the blockchain intelligence and financial crime research community.
Coach and mentor more junior colleagues, sharing technical and analytical expertise and contributing to a high standard of intelligence practice across the team.
What you will achieve in the first 6 months:
Establish deep familiarity with Elliptic's intelligence dataset and attribution methodology, and produce a documented assessment of the most material coverage gaps with a prioritised remediation roadmap.
Lead or contribute significantly to at least one end-to-end research or investigation project, delivering a defensible written output to an agreed standard and timeline.
Define and present a concrete proposal for improving how data scientists contribute to heuristic development, including documentation templates, review processes, and monitoring expectations.
Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Intelligence, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services, and identify at least one cross-functional opportunity to translate your intelligence work into product or client value.

You are mission-driven and share our passion for securing the future of cryptocurrency.
You demonstrate a deep, active personal interest in the cryptocurrency space, staying current on developments across protocols, ecosystems, and criminal typologies.
You are enthusiastic about deploying your data science skills to explore new domains and solve problems that do not yet have established solutions.
You are familiar with OSINT techniques and understand the importance of operating safely, responsibly, and with rigorous attention to bias.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys mentoring others and can work productively across functional areas including product, marketing, and customer success.
You take initiative and are comfortable operating with significant autonomy, owning your domain without waiting for direction.
Our ideal candidate has:
A strong understanding of data science fundamentals, with working knowledge of SQL and Python sufficient to conduct and automate analytical workflows independently.
Expert, demonstrable proficiency across a variety of blockchains, including layer 1 and layer 2 networks, with direct personal experience bridging cryptocurrency between chains and self-custodying cryptocurrency.
Competency as an intelligence professional: you understand the role of cognitive bias, can apply structured analytic techniques, and accurately communicate uncertainty in written and verbal outputs.
Excellent communication skills: you can distil complex technical matters clearly for audiences with a wide range of technical understanding, from engineers to executives.
Previous experience holding, or the ability to obtain, security clearance in the UK or US.
AI fluency is essential for this role. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to effectively apply AI tools and approaches to intelligence analysis workflows, including using AI to accelerate data processing, pattern identification, heuristic development support, and the drafting of written outputs.

Senior Software Engineer - Data
Do you want to help define the future of finance?
Are you a strong software engineer who's passionate about data, distributed systems, and delivering impact at scale? Are you looking for a values-driven company that invests in its people and gives you the autonomy to shape critical systems, while staying close to the code?
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Elliptic's Product-Engineering organisation, focusing on data engineering solutions that power our blockchain analytics and intelligence products. This is a hands-on engineering role: as a senior member of the team, you will spend the majority of your time designing, building, and shipping the data platform yourself, while driving the technical direction that ensures it continues to meet the growing demands of blockchain analysis.
Challenges include building a blockchain-agnostic solution that scales globally, processing large batch and streaming datasets, and solving complex data processing problems that give our customers deep insights into the flow of value across the crypto ecosystem.
Elliptic is building an AI fluent workforce. We invest in the tools, training and time for our teams to use AI well: every Elliptite has access to Claude, and we expect AI to be a normal part of how you work, not an occasional add on. We are not looking for people who use AI the most. We are looking for people who use it best, with curiosity, sound judgment and full ownership of what they ship.
Across our Product, Engineering, Design and Intelligence we’re going beyond giving everyone the tools. We’re setting new standards. Using AI to transform how we build and work every day to deliver on our market opportunity. Put another way our teams iterate alongside agentic systems applying judgement to build world class systems.
What that looks like for this role is set out below.
The impact you will have
Our data and intelligence platform sits at the heart of everything we do. As a senior engineer, you will personally design and build data systems that serve as the backbone of all Elliptic products. By collaborating across blockchain, intelligence and product teams, you will deliver innovative features that help the world fight financial crime and increase transparency in the crypto space. Very few engineering roles have such clearly measurable real-world impact.
You will also help us excel in engineering excellence by mentoring and upskilling our highly-engaged and passionate engineers, by championing best practices, and holding yourself and your team to a high standard.
What you will do
Write, ship, and maintain production code as a hands-on engineer.
Architect, design, and implement large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines.
Contribute to technical decision-making across batch and streaming data solutions.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and intelligence analysts to build customer-focused products.
Explore and integrate new technologies (e.g. data orchestration or cloud-native tools) to optimise performance and scalability.
Take shared ownership of data systems, from design to deployment and ongoing improvement and support.
Perform thoughtful peer reviews that raise code quality and share best practices across the team.
Contribute to platform-wide initiatives that improve reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
Help shape the technical roadmap for data engineering across Elliptic.
This role requires ‘Adoptive’ AI fluency. This means AI has already changed how you work, not just how fast. We expect you to enjoy leveraging AI and agentic systems to operate more effectively.
Tech environment
Scala | Spark | Databricks | AWS | Claude | Airflow | Kubernetes | Terraform | Functional Programming
You will thrive here if you
Enjoy end-to-end ownership, from writing the code to architecture design to coaching others through delivery.
Strive for engineering excellence and scalable, sustainable systems.
Use data and experimentation to guide decisions.
Communicate openly and collaborate across teams.
Support and coach less-experienced engineers.
Believe every challenge is an opportunity to simplify and innovate together.
Enjoy working with AI to benefit the company, your team and yourself.
What we are looking for
Hands-on production experience with Scala and functional programming.
Ability to design, build, and maintain distributed data systems in a cloud-based environment.
Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Judgement to balance scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Experience with data modelling and workflow orchestration.
Bonus points for
Experience in stream processing frameworks and event-driven architecture.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience working in containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Interest in AI-driven tooling for engineering workflows.
Interest in crypto and blockchain technologies.
How we work:
Hybrid working: The option to work from almost anywhere for up to 90 days per year.
Remote Work Budget: $650 budget to set up your home office space.

Partner Engineer
Are you passionate about helping partners and customers succeed with sophisticated technology? Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working across partner ecosystems, and becoming the trusted expert people rely on when things get difficult?
Do you thrive at the intersection of technology, partnerships, customer success, and problem solving? Are you the kind of person who enjoys understanding how things work, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping partners deliver outstanding technical outcomes for their customers?
If so, we’d love to hear from you! 🙌
About us
We are Resistant AI, a fast-moving startup where things happen quickly, and decisions are made just as fast. We believe in taking initiative – better to ask forgiveness than permission – but don't worry, we keep it organized and collaborative. If you love the thrill of building and iterating, you'll fit right in! 👌
And what do we actually do?
We protect the AI and automation systems of modern financial services from manipulation and attack. We do so by forensically analyzing everything from the documents submitted by customers to the ongoing behaviors they exhibit while using the service to uncover and prevent serial fraud, synthetic identities, account takeovers, money laundering and as yet unknown financial threats operating at scale.
This is our founding team's second startup, and we recently closed our Series B investment round led by Google Ventures, Index Ventures and Credo Ventures.
🔎 Who are we looking for?
Someone who becomes a trusted technical advisor to our strategic partners – helping them integrate, sell, implement, and support Resistant AI's fraud prevention platform with their own customers.
You'll work across Partnerships, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product, Research, Engineering, and Support to strengthen our partner ecosystem's technical capabilities, own complex partner escalations, and help partners deliver excellent outcomes at scale.
This role goes beyond individual deployments – you'll help partners build the knowledge, processes, and operating models to represent and support Resistant AI independently, while knowing we've got their back when things get complex.
💪 What you'll be doing?
- Leading technical onboarding and enablement for new partners
- Supporting partner-led customer implementation, configuration, and optimization
- Enabling partners to confidently position, demo, integrate, and support our solutions
- Supporting partner pre-sales: solution design, architecture reviews, discovery, POCs
- Running partner technical health reviews and catching risks early
- Owning L2/L3 partner escalations and coordinating resolution across internal teams
- Establishing clear escalation paths, support models, and operating procedures with partners
- Feeding partner and customer insight back into Product, Research, and Engineering
- Spotting recurring technical issues across the ecosystem and driving scalable fixes
- Building playbooks, reference architectures, troubleshooting guides, and enablement materials
- Supporting partner technical certification and readiness programs
- Helping partner and Sales teams turn technical opportunities into growth
🙌 What do you bring?
- At least 3 years in a partner- or customer-facing technical role (Partner Engineering, TAM, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, Partner Enablement, or similar)
- Strong understanding of SaaS products, APIs, integrations, data flows, solution architecture and technical troubleshooting
- Experience advising enterprise partners – vendors, system integrators, resellers, or platforms – in a technical capacity
- Background in technical enablement, implementation, or pre-sales
- Ability to translate between technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders
- Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills
- Proven track record managing complex escalations across multiple teams
- Comfortable bringing structure to situations with many stakeholders and competing priorities
- A self-starter who spots and closes gaps without waiting for direction
- Experience writing technical documentation, enablement materials, implementation playbooks, or reusable partner resources
- Experience in fraud prevention, identity verification, cybersecurity, risk management, financial services, or adjacent industries is a strong advantage
- Fluent English (C1); other languages a plus
💙 Why you might enjoy this role?
- You enjoy solving difficult technical problems with real business impact
- You like becoming a trusted expert and advisor to partners and customers
- You enjoy working at the intersection of technology, partnerships, customer success, and innovation
- You like enabling others to become more capable and self-sufficient
- You enjoy understanding how partners operate and helping them improve over time
- You want to build scalable technical practices rather than solve the same problem repeatedly
- You enjoy owning complex escalations and bringing structure to challenging situations
- You want to influence products by bringing real-world partner and customer insight back into the company
- You enjoy collaborating with smart people across multiple disciplines and organizations
- You thrive in environments where ownership, curiosity, initiative, and accountability are valued
🫴 What do we offer?
- Working alongside some of the top professionals in AI, fraud detection, cybersecurity, and machine learning
- A unique opportunity to help build and shape a brand-new Customer Engineering function
- A rapidly growing company where your work has direct customer impact
- Flexible working hours and home office
- Modern offices in the center of Prague
- Free lunches when you're in the office
- Stock options program
- Multisport card

AI Engineer (Iași)
WHY SPEKTR
At spektr, we are on a mission to automate the world’s most complex compliance workflows through AI. Founded by the team behind HelloFlow (acquired by Trulioo), spektr is building the infrastructure and AI agents to run compliance on scale.
Most large financial companies rely on thousands of employees to keep up with manually handling compliance. With spektr’s AI agents, we have the opportunity to change that and completly redefine how compliance operates.
This is a rare opportunity to join spektr at the moment of take-off. We have a proven product, already used by some of the largest and fastest-moving financial companies like Santander, Pleo, Phantom, and many more. Backed by Northzone, Seedcamp and PSV, we are scaling incredibly fast and changing the way compliance works in real time. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for personal and professional growth is huge.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an AI Engineer who is, first and foremost, a product builder. In this role, you won't just be running experiments in a notebook; you will own the end-to-end AI strategy and its direct impact on our customers.
In this role, you will own everything related to AI, LLMs, and intelligent automation.
This is a high-impact role in a fast-growing company. We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, loves solving complex compliance puzzles, and is eager to shape the next generation of compliance technology.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- AI Strategy & Ownership: Own the end-to-end AI roadmap—from selecting the right models (SOTA commercial vs. fine-tuned open source) to deciding how they are integrated into the product core.
- Agentic Feature Design: Design and deploy LLM-powered features including autonomous agents, advanced RAG pipelines, and intelligent document understanding.
- Product-Led AI: Collaborate directly with founders to translate complex compliance "puzzles" into scalable AI solutions. You own the "Why" behind every model choice.
- Continuous Innovation: Stay at the bleeding edge of AI/ML research, proactively identifying new papers or releases that can give spektr a competitive advantage.
- Engineering for Reliability: Turn non-deterministic AI outputs into deterministic product value. You ensure our agents are accurate, explainable, and hallucination-free.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- The Product Mindset: You are a product person at heart. You care about whether the AI actually solves the user's problem, not just if the loss curve is going down.
- High-Agency Builder: You prefer building systems over following manuals. You identify bottlenecks in our AI workflows and fix them before they become tickets.
- AI/ML Expertise: 2+ years of experience in ML, AI, or Data/Backend roles with a deep understanding of modern LLM stacks.
- Technical Mastery: Strong skills in TypeScript (our core) and/or Python, with hands-on experience in frameworks like LangChain or equivalent orchestration layers.
- RAG & Vector Mastery: You’ve built production-grade RAG pipelines and understand the nuances of embedding, retrieval strategy, and re-ranking.
- Evaluation Obsession: You understand that "it works on my machine" doesn't apply to LLMs. You have experience setting up evaluation frameworks to measure and improve model performance.
- Cloud & Scale: Experience deploying AI services in AWS or containerized environments, ensuring they are scalable and cost-effective.
- Communication: You can explain the trade-offs of a specific model architecture to a founder and a technical bottleneck to a peer with equal clarity.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Models: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and Open Source (LLaMA, Mistral).
- Stack: TypeScript, Python, LangChain, etc
- Infra: AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD for LLMs.
WHAT WE OFFER
- An exciting opportunity to build the next generation of AI agents in a well-funded start-up
- Work directly with our founders to build spektr from an early stage
- Work with a team that enables, supports, and challenges you
- Leverage our network of leading investors, partners and advisors in Europe and the U.S.
OUR PROCESS
- Phone Screen (20 minutes)
- Technical Interview (30 minutes)
- Technical Interview (60 minutes)
HOW TO APPLY
We hire the smartest, kindest, and most unrelenting people and let them do their best work. You’ll be joining a team with a proven track record and the "Product-Market Fit" to change an entire industry.
