Senior Software Engineer - Integrations
About Flow
Flow Engineering is an AI-native requirements platform for modern engineering organizations, enabling hardware teams to collaborate with AI agents to design, validate, and evolve complex systems with speed and rigor.
About the role
Flow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Integrations to build the connections between Flow and the tools our customers already run. Our customers are hardware teams in aerospace, defense, automotive, and adjacent industries, and their engineering work lives across PLM, ALM, requirements, and issue-tracking systems. Getting Flow to work cleanly with that existing stack is often what turns a pilot into a full deployment.
This role sits between engineering, product, and our customers. You will design and ship integrations, own their reliability once they are live, and work directly with customer engineering teams to understand how their data actually moves.
What you'll do
Design, build, and maintain integrations connecting Flow to customer systems such as PLM and ALM platforms (Solidworks, AutoCAD), requirements tools (Jama, DOORS), issue trackers (Jira, Linear), and version control (GitHub, GitLab).
Build reliable data sync, including mapping, transformation, conflict handling, and keeping records consistent across systems.
Work directly with customer engineering and IT teams to scope integrations, understand their data models, and get deployments live.
Design and maintain the APIs and webhooks that let customers and partners build against Flow.
Own integrations in production, covering monitoring, error handling, and debugging sync issues across systems you do not control.
Partner with forward deployed engineers and product engineers to turn recurring customer needs into reusable integration patterns.
About you
5+ years developing production software, including designing and operating services at scale in a cloud environment.
Experience building and maintaining integrations against third-party APIs, ideally in a customer-facing or B2B setting.
Strong grasp of API design (REST, webhooks, and related patterns) and the realities of syncing data between systems.
Comfortable debugging problems that span multiple systems, including ones where you have limited visibility.
Able to work directly with customers and translate their technical setup into a clear integration plan.
Comfortable in a high-ownership environment where you scope, build, and support your own work.
Nice to have
Familiarity with PLM, ALM, or systems engineering tooling
Exposure to defense, aerospace, or regulated hardware environments.
Our stack
TypeScript/Node.js and Python for backend and integration services.
REST and webhook-based APIs, message queues, and standard cloud infrastructure.
Senior Sales Engineer
About Flow
Flow Engineering is an AI-native requirements platform for modern engineering organizations, enabling hardware teams to collaborate with AI agents to design, validate, and evolve complex systems with speed and rigor.
About the role
Flow is seeking a senior sales engineer to be the technical partner in our sales process. Our buyers are systems and engineering leaders at aerospace, defense, automotive, and hardware companies, and they need to see how Flow fits their real workflows before they commit. You will run technical discovery, demos, and pilots, and you will be the person who can answer the hard questions in the room.
This role pairs closely with our account executives. They own the commercial relationship, and you own the technical win: showing the product, mapping it to the customer's engineering process, and making sure a pilot proves out what it needs to.
What you'll do
Partner with account executives on discovery calls, technical demos, and pilots, from first technical conversation through to a signed deal.
Understand each customer's engineering workflow and requirements process, then show how Flow fits it.
Build and run demos and proofs of concept that reflect the customer's actual use case rather than a generic script.
Answer technical and security questions from engineering, IT, and security teams, and complete security questionnaires with support from the team.
Work with product and engineering to feed back what customers need and where the product should go next.
Partner with forward deployed engineers to hand off pilots cleanly into deployment.
About you
4+ years in sales engineering, solutions engineering, forward deployed engineering, or a technical customer-facing role.
Comfortable running a technical room, from individual engineers up to VPs, and adjusting the conversation to each.
Strong technical foundation: you can reason about APIs, integrations, and how software fits into an existing engineering stack.
Able to translate between what a customer says they need and what the product actually does.
Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where the sales motion and the product are both still taking shape.
Nice to have
Familiarity with requirements, systems engineering, PLM, or ALM tooling (Jama, DOORS, etc.)
Background in or selling into defense, aerospace, or regulated hardware environments.

Staff Software Engineer - Security
About Flow
Flow Engineering is an AI-native requirements platform for modern engineering organizations, enabling hardware teams to collaborate with AI agents to design, validate, and evolve complex systems with speed and rigor.
About the role
Our customers in defense, aerospace and more trust us with sensitive systems requirements. That means security is a first-order part of the product, so we’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to own it.
This is our first dedicated security hire, so you'll define the security architecture, harden the platform, and build out the compliance posture. Since LLMs and agentic workflows sit at the center of what we do, you'll also lead how we secure them.
What you'll do
Own security architecture across the platform: threat modeling, secure design reviews, and the standards we build against.
Harden the full stack, from application security to cloud infrastructure (identity, network, secrets), tenant isolation, and data protection.
Drive SOC 2 and get us ready for the certifications defense and aerospace customers ask about, including export control and ITAR.
Secure our AI and agentic systems: prompt injection, data leaking through models, what actions agents are allowed to take, and guardrails.
Build the security tooling we need across detection, monitoring, vulnerability management, and CI/CD.
Stand up incident response and run it, from detection through postmortems.
Work with sales and product to get through security reviews and win customer confidence.
About you
8+ years building production software, including running secure services at scale in the cloud.
Deep experience in application and cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure): identity and access, secrets, network security, data protection.
You've owned security in a regulated or high-trust environment and have implemented SOC 2 yourself. Export control, ITAR, or FedRAMP experience is a big plus.
Solid on threat modeling, secure architecture, and incident response.
You've secured AI or LLM systems.
You're comfortable being the security lead at a startup and setting the agenda yourself.
Our stack (AI-leaning)
TypeScript/Node.js and Python for AI and backend services.
Modern LLM APIs and orchestration libraries for building agentic workflows.
Postgres and other managed cloud services for data and state.
How we work & values
Speed over everything: prototype AI workflows quickly, then harden what works.
Own, downscope, ship, iterate: one clear owner per feature, from prototype to production.
Fundamentals done well: evaluation, observability, and safety are part of the first version, not an afterthought.
Competitive salary and meaningful equity.
Health, dental, and vision coverage.
Flexible time off and support for experimentation, learning, and staying current with the AI ecosystem.
