Staff Product Analyst
Mountain View, CA

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2018 and has become a leader in autonomous ground transportation committed to a safer and more efficient future for all. The company has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack purpose-built for commercial trucking and the public sector. The company delivers freight daily for its customers across the southern United States using its autonomous technology. In 2024, Kodiak became the first known company to publicly announce delivering a driverless semi-truck to a customer. Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Kodiak is seeking a Staff Product Analyst to serve as a strategic analytics leader who shapes how the company measures, understands, and improves its commercially-deployed driverless truck platform. As a senior individual contributor on the Data team within the Product organization, you will set the analytical direction across product areas, establish the standards and frameworks others build on, and directly influence product strategy at the highest levels. You will partner with VP- and Director-level stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Operations to define what success looks like for autonomy at scale — and ensure the entire organization has the data infrastructure and insight capability to pursue it.
In this role, you will:
Own the analytical strategy for autonomy and commercial performance — defining the metric frameworks, measurement systems, and insight cadences that drive product decisions across the organization.
Act as a thought partner to VP-level Product and Engineering leaders, proactively surfacing trends, risks, and opportunities before they become blockers.
Lead the design and governance of experimentation programs (A/B tests, staged rollouts, capability evaluations), establishing methodology standards adopted across teams.
Drive company-level understanding of commercial deployment performance, translating complex system behavior into strategic narratives for executives and the board.
Architect scalable data solutions — owning the analytical layer of key data pipelines, instrumentation strategies, and dashboard infrastructure that the broader Data team builds on.
Identify and close critical measurement gaps; partner with Engineering to define telemetry requirements for new features and systems before they ship.
Mentor and elevate senior analysts; set the technical and craft bar for the team and help define the career ladder for the analytics function.
Represent the Product Analytics team in cross-functional leadership forums, advocating for data-driven decision-making at the product and program level.
Travel periodically to Kodiak's commercial deployment and operations locations to build operational intuition and ground analytical work in reality.
What you’ll bring:
Analytical leadership: 8+ years of product analytics experience in high-growth tech, with a track record of independently driving strategy — not just executing requests.
Organizational impact: Demonstrated ability to define and scale analytical frameworks across multiple teams or product areas; experience influencing roadmap and resourcing decisions with data.
Technical depth: Expert-level SQL and Python; experience architecting analytics systems and pipelines, not just querying them. Proficiency with Kibana and dashboard tooling; comfort owning the instrumentation strategy end-to-end.
Mentorship and team development: Experience growing senior ICs and establishing team norms, standards, and best practices — whether or not you hold a formal management title.
Executive communication: Proven ability to distill ambiguous, multi-dimensional data into clear, compelling narratives for VP- and C-suite audiences. You shape how leadership thinks about the business, not just report on it.
Cross-functional authority: Track record of driving alignment across Product, Engineering, and Operations at the program level — you are the person others bring in to resolve measurement disagreements and define shared ground truth.
Business and domain judgment: Deep intuition for connecting technical metrics to fleet economics, customer outcomes, and competitive positioning. You know which metrics matter and which are vanity.
Structured thinking at scale: Ability to decompose novel, high-stakes problems — often without precedent — into rigorous analytical frameworks that others can follow and extend.
Domain expertise or strong curiosity: Background in autonomous systems, logistics, mobility, or safety-critical industries a strong plus; genuine drive to become a domain expert in AV commercialization.
Degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
What we offer:
Competitive compensation package including equity and biannual bonuses
Excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision plans through Kaiser Permanente, Anthem, and Guardian (including a medical plan with infertility benefits)

At Kodiak, we strive to build a diverse community working towards our common company goals in a safe and collaborative environment where harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited. Kodiak is committed to equal opportunity employment regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable law.
In alignment with its business operations, Kodiak adheres to all relevant statutes, regulations, and administrative prerequisites. Accordingly, roles that carry more sensitive requirements may be limited to candidates that can satisfy additional scrutiny and eligibility for such positions may hinge on verification of a candidate’s residence, U.S. person status, and/or citizenship status. Should the position require, and Kodiak determines that a candidate’s residence, U.S. person status, and/or citizenship status necessitate an export license, bar the candidate from the position, or otherwise fall under national security-related restrictions, Kodiak will consider the candidate for alternative positions unaffected by such restrictions, under terms and conditions set forth at Kodiak’s sole discretion, or, as an alternative, opt not to proceed with the candidate’s application. If applicable, Kodiak may provide visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.
We use a third-party AI tool (Endorsed) to assist in the initial screening of applications. As part of the evaluation process, we provide Endorsed with job requirements and candidate-submitted applications. Final hiring decisions are made by our human recruitment team, and no automated system makes the ultimate decision regarding hiring. Certain features of the platform may qualify it as an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) under applicable regulations. We began using Endorsed on January 1, 2026. You can review the independent bias audit report covering our use of Endorsed [here](https://endorsed.com/local-law-144). As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
