We are looking for a subject matter expert in US payroll and tax compliance. In this role, you will work directly with our R&D teams to define and pressure test software requirements for Rippling’s US payroll product and internal tooling. Additionally, you will drive key compliance processes such as account audits, regulatory requirements documentation, and collaboration with Rippling’s Tax Operations team.
You will serve alongside our small but mighty Payroll Compliance team whose objective is to ensure that Rippling’s payroll and tax systems remain best-in-class and compliant with changing tax laws across the nation. Your work will immediately touch hundreds of thousands of employees and billions in fund flows.
What you will do
Define product requirements to meet both existing and new payroll / tax regulatory changes
Define and execute audit processes to validate payroll calculations and ensure compliance of Rippling’s payroll system
Document and communicate regulatory requirements and changes to internal stakeholders; think of yourself as a resident expert in payroll and tax compliance within Rippling. This is a role that touches all customer facing and R&D teams
Proactively research and stay up to date with payroll tax regulations and rules
Be Rippling’s point of contact and liaison with federal, state and local tax agencies
Own all payroll compliance functions related to assigned states, ensuring the Rippling system remains fully compliant with local regulations
What you will need
5+ years of experience in payroll tax and compliance positions
CPP Certification preferred
Experience with working with Product and Engineering teams; preferably experience building payroll software at different stages of maturity. You are able to distill complex payroll concepts into actionable and practical steps
Experience working at a high growth startup. Specifically, you know how to operate in a dynamic work environment and you are not uncomfortable with competing priorities
Experience collaborating with US federal, state, and local tax agencies
Excellent research skills
Stellar written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong end-to-end project management, time management, and organizational skills
Entrepreneurial mindset (flexible, self-starting, and hard-working)

About the role
We are looking for an operational, analytical, and detail-oriented Sr. Sales Strategy & Operations Analyst to support our global Sales Development organization. In this role, you'll contribute to core planning, performance, and operational processes that help scale our SDR team effectively and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity, building scalable operating processes, and solving complex business problems through data and cross-functional execution.
You will partner closely with Sales Development leadership and cross-functional teams - including Marketing, Sales, RevOps, Finance, and Systems - to ensure our SDR organization is set up for success. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for operational problem-solving in a high-growth SaaS environment.
What you will do
Support Sales Development leadership in planning org structure, headcount, KPIs, and success metrics across regions, segments, and verticals
Lead operational initiatives that improve lead routing, pipeline generation, SDR productivity, and overall go-to-market effectiveness.
Contribute to capacity planning and resource allocation models for SDR teams
Build and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor SDR productivity and funnel performance
Assist with quarterly and annual planning processes
Collaborate with broader Revenue Operations teams (e.g., Systems, Analytics, Territory Ops) to identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable process and tooling improvements
Contribute to change management and enablement efforts as SDR programs evolve and grow
What you will need
2+ years of experience in Sales Strategy, Revenue Operations, or Go-to-Market Operations roles, ideally within a B2B SaaS company
Demonstrated ability to design, improve, and operationalize business processes at scale
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau
Familiarity with Salesforce and common GTM tools (e.g., Outreach, ZoomInfo, LeanData)
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communicator, comfortable presenting data and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
Eager to learn, adaptable in fast-paced environments, and motivated by operational excellence
Excellent communication skills and executive presence - capable of influencing and partnering with sales leadership
Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities in a high-growth environment.
