ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Fraud Analyst to join our BSA/AML team. In this role, you will support the detection, investigation, and mitigation of financial crime risks, with a strong emphasis on fraud-related activity. You will play a key part in ensuring XMoney remains compliant with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and related regulations while protecting the company and its customers from fraud and illicit activity.
This is not a remote or hybrid position. This role is based on-site at either our Palo Alto headquarters or New York City office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor, investigate, and escalate potential fraud, money laundering, and suspicious activity alerts using transaction monitoring systems and case management tools.
Conduct thorough reviews of customer activity, account behavior, and transaction patterns to identify red flags related to fraud and financial crime.
Perform customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring reviews.
Collaborate with Engineering and senior management to investigate complex cases and recommend risk mitigation actions.
Maintain accurate documentation of investigations, findings, and decisions to support audit and regulatory examinations.
Assist in the development, testing, and tuning of transaction monitoring rules and fraud detection scenarios.
Stay current on emerging fraud typologies, AML regulations, and industry best practices; contribute to policy and procedure updates.
Support internal and external audits, regulatory exams, and independent reviews of the BSA/AML program.
Provide guidance and training to front-line staff on fraud and AML red flags as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in fraud investigation, fraud operations, or fraud risk management within the financial services or fintech sector.
Working knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, OFAC sanctions, and related compliance frameworks.
Experience using transaction monitoring systems, case management platforms, and fraud detection tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns of suspicious or fraudulent activity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear investigative narratives and regulatory filings.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a fintech, payments, or digital banking environment.
CAMS, CFE, or other relevant compliance/fraud certifications.
Familiarity with SAR filing processes and FinCEN requirements.
Experience collaborating across Fraud, Compliance, and Risk functions.
Knowledge of emerging fraud trends (e.g., account takeover, synthetic identity, payment fraud, mule activity)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$100,000 - $135,000 USD

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced BSA/AML Investigator to help detect, prevent, and report financial crimes. As part of the Legal & Compliance Team, you will help maintain an effective BSA/AML and Sanctions compliance program (“BSA/AML Program”) for X Corp. You will support the 5 pillars of an effective program.
This is a full-time salaried position with a Saturday–Wednesday schedule. Remote work is permitted on Saturdays and Sundays; in-office attendance is required Monday through Wednesday.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently investigate and resolve complex alerts and cases from transaction monitoring systems, including in-depth analysis of payment flows and user behaviors.
Prepare, review, and recommend filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), ensuring high-quality narratives and supporting documentation.
Assist with KYC and onboarding matters as required.
Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk users and transactions; perform periodic reviews of customer risk profiles and recommend adjustments to risk ratings.
Assist in tuning and optimizing transaction monitoring rules and scenarios to reduce false positives while maintaining detection effectiveness.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on investigation techniques and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Product, Risk, Legal) on compliance-related initiatives and new product launches.
Maintain expertise in evolving BSA/AML/OFAC regulations, FinCEN guidance, and payment industry financial crime trends.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years of hands-on experience in AML, ideally in fintech or banking.
Familiarity with financial crime risks specific to digital payments, money transmission, wallets, or peer-to-peer platforms is highly desirable.
Proven experience preparing and filing SARs, including high-quality, well-structured narratives — strongly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC sanctions, and related requirements.
Proven familiarity with local, regional, and international regulatory bodies (e.g., FinCEN, FATF, or equivalent), with practical experience navigating their guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to drive operational changes, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively across global teams and regions.
Strong analytical mindset with structured problem-solving skills, a sense of urgency, and the capacity to work independently under minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, paired with interpersonal abilities to influence stakeholders at all levels and advance strategic initiatives.
Quick learner with adaptability to evolving technologies, regulations, and business needs.
AML-related certifications (e.g., CAMS, CGSS) are preferred but not required.
Ability to commit to the Saturday–Wednesday full-time work schedule.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$120,000 - $145,000 USD

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Threat Disruption provides expert threat intelligence and conducts scaled operations against the adversaries attacking X. We investigate and disrupt threats across the following areas:
Platform manipulation, including coordinated networks of bots attempting to pollute the information space
Compromises of accounts owned by high-visibility individuals and organizations
Sensitive allegations carrying reputational, legal, or geopolitical weight, including suspected foreign-linked influence campaigns
Financial fraud, monetization abuse, and scam networks operating on and off X
Other X Rules violations, including illegal activity and child safety
We identify how adversaries circumvent our defenses, abuse product features and core services, and benefit from the abuse. Based on these investigations, we conduct sweeps to disrupt immediate threats and provide recommendations to product, engineering, and policy teams to squash systemic vulnerabilities.
Where appropriate, Threat Disruption also coordinates with law enforcement and other external parties to enhance detections and support prosecution of bad actors.

Partner closely with operations, engineering, product, and policy teams across the organization
Rapidly and rigorously handle urgent incidents escalated by leadership
