Senior Resident Architect
A little more about the team:
Honeycomb's Resident Architects are among our most senior technical field engineers, and a critical escalation point for our biggest and thorniest technical challenges faced by our customers. RAs are technical champions, coaches, and mentors who combine deep engineering expertise with strong emotional intelligence and customer focus. They demonstrate genuine customer empathy, maintain a strong customer service ethic, and excel at working directly with customers' engineering teams, from individual contributors to engineering leadership to drive successful, lasting outcomes.
What you’ll do in the role:
- Lead customers in the strategic application of Honeycomb and Observability practices to meet their stated technical and business goals, including shaping how their telemetry data is structured, governed, and used across their organization
- Partner with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to articulate the Honeycomb value proposition, vision, and strategy at the executive and technical levels
- Act as a trusted advisor on telemetry schema design and data modeling, helping customers think through how to structure events, attributes, and relationships so their data is queryable, meaningful, and durable over time
- Become a subject-matter expert in the practice of Sampling and the operations of our Refinery sampling, advising customers on sampling strategies that balance cost, fidelity, and operational insight
- Work hands-on with, teach, coach, and mentor engineering teams and leaders in Observability, SRE concepts, and instrumentation best practices
- Advise customers on how to establish and evolve telemetry ownership and standards within their engineering organizations, including how to build internal documentation, naming conventions, and attribution practices that scale
- Troubleshoot and develop both technical and sociotechnical solutions to customer issues in ways that discrete roles (like Support and Engineering teams) cannot
- Create high-quality, reusable content including trainings, talks, blog posts, white papers, demos, and reference architectures
- Represent the voice of the customer in internal meetings with Engineering and Product Management, bringing pattern-level insights from the field
- Stay current on Honeycomb technologies, product offerings, and the broader observability ecosystem
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Deep understanding of OpenTelemetry, its projects, components, SDKs, and ecosystem, along with the ability to guide customers through complex instrumentation decisions
- Strong intuition for how telemetry data should be modeled and organized: what makes an event schema useful vs. noisy, how to think about cardinality, and how to design for long-term queryability
- The ability to understand application's architecture and flow well enough to instrument it effectively and advise others doing the same
- Working knowledge of popular cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm), and CI/CD platforms and practices (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Previous experience in Software Development or System Operations, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked on distributed systems at scale
- Fluency in at least one of: Ruby, Python, Go, JavaScript, Java, or .NET, familiarity with multiple languages and/or frameworks is a strong plus
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills, with the ability to tailor depth and framing for both engineering teams and technical leadership
Bonus points for:
- Previous experience in Customer Success, Technical Account Management, Sales Engineering, or Consulting
- Deep understanding of Distributed Tracing concepts (Context Propagation, Sampling, Visualization, etc.)
- Experience helping engineering organizations define internal observability standards, tagging taxonomies, or telemetry governance practices
- Public speaking experience, conference talks, internal tech talks, webinars, etc.
What you'll get when you join the Hive:
- A stake in our success - generous equity with employee-friendly stock program
- It’s not about how strong of a negotiator you are - our pay is based on transparent levels relative to experience
- Time to recharge with unlimited PTO
- A distributed-first mindset and culture (really!)
- Home office, co-working, and internet stipend
- Full benefits coverage for employees, with additional coverage available for dependents
- Up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave, regardless of path to parenthood
- Annual development allowance
- And much more...
- All communications will come from an @honeycomb.io email address
- We occasionally work with external recruiting agencies. These partners will use legitimate business email addresses—never personal accounts like Gmail or Yahoo.
- Our recruiting process will never ask you to provide financial or sensitive personal information, including but not limited to:
- Social security or tax identification numbers
- Credit card numbers
- Bank account information

AI at Chainalysis

Platform Operations Engineer
This is a fully remote role within the United States.
Turquoise Health is building its Platform Engineering function from the ground up and this is your chance to shape it. As our first Platform Operations Engineer, you'll help lay the foundation for how we build, deploy, and operate infrastructure that supports real-world healthcare outcomes.
This is a high-ownership role on a new team. You'll help establish the practices, tooling, and standards that the rest of engineering will rely on, from observability and reliability to deployment workflows and scalability. If you're energized by greenfield problems, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and motivated to automate and simplify before being asked, we'd love to build something great together.
Responsibilities:
Support the Platform Infrastructure - Help manage and scale our container environment on Amazon EKS, implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, and maintain CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions to ensure that deployments are fast, consistent, and automated
Build for Reliability - Define and track SLIs and SLOs, lead incident response including on-call rotations, root cause analysis, and post-mortems, and contribute to disaster recovery planning to keep our systems highly available
Drive Observability - Design and maintain our monitoring and logging stack using Datadog, Sentry, and CloudWatch — giving engineering teams clear visibility into system health and performance before problems reach users
Shape the Platform's Future - Collaborate on architectural decisions, build internal tooling and self-service workflows that make the platform easier to operate, and contribute meaningfully to how we scale and evolve our infrastructure
What You’ll Bring:
3+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure
Confident working with core AWS services (VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS) and a strong understanding of cloud networking and security best practices
Expert in using Infrastructure as code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Crossplane
Proficient with GitHub and GitHub Actions as a core component of your CI/CD and automation pipelines- not just for source control
Experienced with running Kubernetes clusters in production and managing application deployments through GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/Flux) and Helm Charts
Proficient with observability tooling such as Datadog, Sentry, CloudWatch, Grafana to include building alerts, dashboards, and log pipelines
Experience writing solid Python scripts to glue systems together, automate infrastructure tasks, or handle custom workflows
Comfortable working independently in a remote setup, asking questions when needed, and keeping momentum without being micromanaged
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Happy to work with strong candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds
Nice to haves:
Certifications: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform or Python
Benefits:
Competitive pay with equity options
Stellar health care plan options (Medical, Dental & Vision), with FSA, DCFSA, & HSA options
Company-sponsored disability & life insurance
Unlimited PTO
401(k) + 4% Matching
Fully remote work + flexible working hours
