About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Director of Embedded Systems Engineering to serve as the strategic architect of our firmware organization. In this leadership role, you will hold full authority over the technical roadmap, team scaling, and operational processes for all Inspiren embedded systems. You will not simply manage existing headcount; you will strategically build a high-performance department capable of delivering complex, connected solutions across R&D, NPI, and sustaining engineering. You will be the primary driver of integrating AI-augmented engineering workflows to accelerate development cycles and set the global standard for how we collaborate with our JDM partners.
What You'll Do
Strategic Team Building: Own the organizational design and long-term hiring strategy for the embedded systems team. You will proactively identify talent gaps and build a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and collaboration.
Process Architecture: Define the methodologies for modular, testable, and hardware-flexible platforms. You will establish the comprehensive technical playbooks, coding standards, and architectural expectations that govern how work is performed.
AI-First Engineering Evangelism: Act as the lead expert and educator on the integration of AI tools within the firmware lifecycle. You will identify and implement AI-driven automation for code generation, unit testing, and predictive maintenance to multiply the team's output.
JDM & Vendor Orchestration: Lead the technical relationship with our JDM partners. You will define the specifications and interface points that allow external teams to act as a high-velocity extension of our internal core.
Technical Roadmap Oversight: Provide strategic direction across Inspiren's core technology pillars:
Multi-Modal Perception & Sensing: Oversee the firmware strategy for Radar (mmWave), Optical Perception, and High-Fidelity Audio, ensuring low-latency processing and high-integrity data fusion.
Communication & Protocol Architecture: Architect a robust roadmap for multi-protocol utilization (WiFi, BLE, LoRa, Thread). You will lead the design and optimization of these channels to ensure mission-critical reliability and uptime.
Silicon & Platform Strategy: Manage the long-term roadmap for SoC selection and the "porting pedigree" required to move smoothly between silicon vendors (NVIDIA, MediaTek, Qualcomm, etc.).
Operational Excellence: Serve as the final word on fleet-wide OTA delivery, secure boot processes, and HIPAA-compliant data handling across the entire embedded ecosystem.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the technical bridge between firmware, hardware, and clinical teams, ensuring a unified systems-level approach to safety and reliability.
What you'll bring
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 12+ years in embedded systems engineering with 5+ years in a senior leadership role. You have a proven track record of building and scaling engineering departments for high-volume, mission-critical IoT ecosystems or sophisticated consumer electronics where reliability, connectivity, and hardware-software integration are paramount.
Technical Skills:
Strategic Systems Architecture: Expert knowledge of the full embedded landscape (MCU-based RTOS to MPU-based Embedded Linux) and expertise in defining high-level architectures for complex, low-power IoT ecosystems involving multi-modal sensing.
AI-Augmented Development: Practical experience implementing AI-driven CI/CD pipelines and LLM-assisted tools to accelerate the firmware lifecycle while maintaining code quality.
Global Resource Management: Demonstrated success managing JDM/ODM partnerships in Asia through clear technical documentation and rigorous quality accountability.
Protocol Mastery: High-level expertise in designing and optimizing wireless communication channels and networking stacks for ultra-reliable IoT performance.
Perception Hardware Oversight: Comprehensive understanding of firmware requirements for mmWave radar, optical sensors, and VoIP/WebRTC audio stacks.
Security & Compliance: Mastery of the firmware development lifecycle (SDLC) including secure boot, encrypted telemetry, and HIPAA-compliant data handling.
Leadership Traits: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and pivot strategies to meet 1-year and 2-year business goals. Start-up experience is a plus.

About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Product Manager, Perception Hardware & Systems, to own Inspiren’s connected system of systems. This role will unify our current hardware and all future devices. Embedded within our hardware and embedded teams, this is a deeply technical senior PM role sitting at the intersection of hardware engineering, embedded, software, and data.
You will define system-level requirements and trade-offs across hardware, embedded, and software so that communities experience a seamless, clinically effective safety system. You will lead discovery on new and existing hardware types, partnering with hardware and commercial teams to evaluate sensing technologies and device configurations, assess technical feasibility and regulatory constraints, and tie recommendations to business expansion opportunities. You will own the access criteria across all development phases, from PRD kick-off through concept, EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production and be accountable to how the hardware shows up in the world. You will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation process and experience, inclusive of software.
This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role. You will be the connective tissue between hardware, embedded, software, AI, and our implementation teams. Your work directly affects resident safety in the communities we serve, and your decisions will define how Inspiren’s system of systems evolves. This role reports to the Head of Product.
What you’ll do
Own the System of Systems: Define and maintain system-level requirements across all current hardware and future devices. Serve as the authoritative voice on how devices collaborate, communicate, and fail gracefully together.
Champion the Voice of the Customer: Build and maintain a deep, data-informed understanding of operators, community executives, residents, families, and frontline staff, and use it to define requirements, prioritize trade-offs, and validate outcomes.
Lead discovery on new and existing hardware types: Partner with hardware, software and commercial teams to evaluate sensing technologies and device configurations, assess technical feasibility and regulatory constraints, and tie recommendations directly to business expansion opportunities (e.g., new product SKUs, market expansion opportunities and new verticals, and stronger unit economics).
Define Hardware Phase Success: Define what success looks like from PRD kick-off through Concept, EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production. Translate end user needs, unit economics, business and clinical goals into clear requirements for each phase, and ensure teams stay aligned on the product outcomes we’re driving toward at every milestone.
Lead Cross-Functional Strategy & Execution: Communicate effectively across the entire company, tailoring depth and framing for commercial, implementation, operations, and engineering teams.
Partner with Implementation: Work closely with the implementation team to translate real-world deployment constraints into product requirements. Own the end-to-end implementation experience, including software.
Drive AI-Powered Product Development: Use AI daily as a multiplier: from the moment discovery kicks off through to post launch iterations.
Qualifications
7+ years of product management experience with deep ownership of hardware-enabled systems, including hardware, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
End-to-end ownership of defining success for hardware development: accountable for launching profitable new SKUs and for setting success criteria, system-level requirements, and cross-device trade-offs from PRD and concept through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production.
Strong technical foundation in perception and sensing technologies (cameras, radar, thermal, BLE beacons, audio) and ability to translate real-world functionality into complex cross-device system requirements.
Proven ability to define willingness to pay and build a detailed cost model for a multi-device hardware network, including COGS with full BOM and target gross margin, and to use this model to inform trade-off decisions.
Proven ability to work fluently with hardware, embedded and software engineers on technical requirements, constraints, and system-level trade-offs—you can hold your own in a schematic review or an embedded debug session.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, durable system requirements, technical PRDs, and trade-off analyses for both engineering and leadership audiences.
Bonus Points
Experience with safety-critical or regulated device environments (UL2560/UL 1069, FDA, FCC, or medical device standards).
Experience in healthcare, senior living, or clinical settings where reliability, privacy, and trust are paramount.
Familiarity with AI/ML applied to on-device sensing data, telemetry anomaly detection, or perception pipelines.

About the Role
Inspiren is at an inflection point. We are scaling rapidly, expanding into new businesses and adjacent markets, and raising the bar on how we proactively serve and enrich customer experiences. This is a senior leader who will define what a world-class contact center looks like for a company that sells and operates systems (hardware & software) in the senior living space, at scale.
This leader will inherit a foundation of an existing product support capability which focuses on resolving customer issues and build significantly beyond this. That means getting ahead of issues before they surface, driving solutions to our products to mitigate customer concerns, scaling operations for new and complex environments, and bringing a strategic perspective to a function that touches all aspects of the company. This role reports directly to the COO and is a critical executive hire to the next phase of the company.
What You'll Do
Own the support function end to end. Set the strategy and vision for product support across Inspiren's hardware and software ecosystem. Define the metrics that matter, build the infrastructure that links across our corporate systems and scales, and drive the cross-functional relationships that turn support insights into upstream improvements.
Build for new business. Design and build the operational backbone for Inspiren's expansion into new markets and care settings. This includes standing up a world class contact center operations from scratch: call routing logic, triage workflows, and escalation protocols for environments with centralized on-site support and routing. You will architect the systems that make this work reliably and at scale.
Get ahead of problems before they occur. Use systems performance and failure data to identify patterns, anticipate issues, and drive proactive action. Establish the monitoring and alerting infrastructure that shifts the team from reactive response to early detection.
Implement AI and automation meaningfully. Be the thought leader on leveraging AI in the next evolution of contact center operations, including agentic-AI, to automate customer service, enhance agent productivity, analyze interactions in real-time, while increasing the overall efficacy, accuracy, and efficiency of all contact center workflows and systems.
Be a strategic voice at the leadership table. This role is not just about running a team well. Must have:
10+ years in Customer Service, Contact Center Operations, Product Support Operations, or a related function, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role

About the Role
As an Implementation Manager you will be responsible for leading multiple product implementations across the country ensuring customers have a smooth and positive experience with the installation/use of our products within their facilities. The implementation manager will be responsible for driving hardware and software delivery, hitting project milestones, executing training, and successfully transitioning the customers and the site to a clinical success manager.
What you’ll do
Project Management: Develop and implement the project plans to ensure sites are completed on-time, on-cost, with highest customer satisfaction, as well as other key KPIs, partnering with operations, product support, and other key contractors.
Deployment Execution: Own the entire project lifecycle, from sales handoff, initial scoping and planning, through implementation, training, to post-implementation support.
Customer Engagement: Manage the operational/tactical relationships with key customer stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for implementation engagements.

About you

Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. PMP certification is strongly preferred.
