AI Ops Engineer - GTM
About Tapcart
At Tapcart, we believe every brand needs a direct relationship with their customers - one they actually own.
We're the mobile commerce engine that powers shopping for Shopify's fastest-growing brands. $15B+ in revenue processed. 200M+ shoppers worldwide. Brands like Princess Polly, Béis, Forever 21, and Young LA rely on us to power a large portion of their revenue.
We're a lean team with minimal management and big autonomy. Everyone here builds - engineers, product, leadership, and GTM. We use our own platform, we talk to merchants daily, and we ship constantly. Backed by Shopify, Silver Lake, and other top VCs. Profitable and growing!
About the role
Tapcart has been building a fleet of AI agents that run real work across the company. On the go-to-market side, that means OpenClaw agents and agentic workflows that plug directly into how our Sales, Marketing, Account Management, and Partnerships teams operate.
We're looking for an AI Ops Engineer to partner with the Founder/CEO and VP Operations to build out the skills, workflows, and automations that make those agents genuinely useful. You'll be turning "wouldn't it be great if the agent could just do X" into shipped capability. This is a hands-on builder role: you're writing the agent skills, wiring up the integrations, and closing the loop between what GTM teams need and what the agents can actually do.
It's a rare seat - you'll be at the center of how a company actually operationalizes AI agents, not on the sidelines theorizing about it.
Why you should join Tapcart
You want to work with colleagues who have high standards and who love building beautiful, performant software
You want outsized ownership and visibility early in your career - reporting directly to the Founder/CEO (who also leads our Product & Eng teams) and VP Operations, not buried a few layers down
You want to spend your early career building AI agents that people actually depend on every day, not prototypes that never ship
We deeply care about using AI in our work. Don't proceed with applying if:
You don't love agents / don't use them daily
You don't value craft and cannot speak to software that inspires you
What you'll do
Build and maintain OpenClaw (& other agentic) skills and workflows across the GTM org
Partner with Sales, Marketing, CS/AM, and Partnerships to find high-leverage tasks worth automating, then ship them
Wire agents into the tools GTM already lives in - connecting APIs, data sources, and third-party services
Prototype fast, get it in front of real users, iterate on feedback
Own reliability: when an agent workflow breaks, you diagnose and fix it
Qualifications
0-2 years of experience - new grads and early-career builders welcome!
Hands-on OpenClaw or agentic experience (e.g., Hermes Agent, LangChain, AutoGPT, and custom LLM/API projects) is a must. You've built agent skills/workflows and know how the framework actually behaves, not just in theory. Bonus if you have experience with AI asset generation, security and compliance.
A genuine go-getter - you don't wait to be told what to build. You spot the problem, propose the fix, and ship it.
Comfortable picking up new tools fast (our stack is easy; adaptability matters more than any specific line item on your resume)
Clear communicator who can talk to executives and GTM teams and collaboratively translate their needs into working automation
A Github that is more green than black
Nice to have
A track record of side projects, hackathons, or things you built just because you wanted them to exist
Experience with Zapier, n8n, or similar automation platforms
Bonus if you've touched a modern cloud/data stack (we run on GCP, MongoDB, and ClickHouse) - but we'll teach you what you need
Salary Range
$90,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience level)
Benefits
Competitive salary and equity. Medical, dental, vision. 401(k). Flexible PTO. Remote-friendly. Home office stipend. Quarterly merchant stipend. Lots of swag drops.
How to Apply
Skip the cover letter. Send us a link to something you've built - a GitHub repo, an agent project, anything you're proud of - along with your resume.

Marketing Manager
Tapcart is the leading mobile app platform for the world's fastest-growing Shopify brands. We help marketers and eCommerce teams strengthen their brands and create differentiated customer experiences through a direct mobile channel.
Our platform powers mobile shopping for over 50 million consumers and processes more than $8 billion in revenue annually. Brands like Béis, Grove Collaborative, and Ruggable trust Tapcart to turn mobile traffic into high-retention, high-growth relationships — with mobile apps launched in hours, not months.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team — someone who sits confidently at the intersection of marketing operations, product marketing, and execution. This isn't a pure ops role, and it isn't a pure PMM role. It's both, and that's what makes it interesting.
You'll own the systems and programs that keep our marketing engine running at a high level — HubSpot infrastructure, conversion optimization, customer marketing — while also playing a central role in how we bring our product to market. You'll also serve as the team's operational anchor: keeping campaigns on track, managing the marketing calendar, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building a nurture workflow, writing a product one-pager, and running a CRO experiment. You're a structured thinker who doesn't need a playbook handed to you — you build the playbook.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Own marketing operations end-to-end: You'll be the primary owner of our HubSpot instance — maintaining workflows, lead scoring, contact management, segmentation, and reporting. You'll ensure our marketing data is clean, our attribution is accurate, and our funnel metrics tell a true story. You'll partner closely with Rev Ops and Sales Ops to keep our systems aligned.
Drive conversion rate optimization across the funnel: You'll own CRO across our key marketing surfaces — website, landing pages, email, and paid — running structured A/B tests and using data to identify drop-off points and improve them. You approach experimentation methodically and follow insights all the way through to implementation.
Bring product marketing rigor to our GTM motion: You'll support new product launches with messaging frameworks, positioning documents, sales enablement assets, and competitive intelligence. You'll help translate what the product does into language that resonates with buyers — and keep our core marketing assets up to date as the product evolves.
Build and run customer marketing programs: You'll own lifecycle communications for our existing customers — onboarding sequences, expansion campaigns, and retention programs. You'll work with Customer Success to build a customer reference pipeline and find ways to turn happy customers into active Tapcart advocates.
Serve as the team's operational backbone: You'll own the marketing calendar, project tracking, and cross-functional coordination that keeps the team moving. You'll flag blockers, close loops, and make sure campaigns and launches land on time. In a small team, this kind of operational ownership is a force multiplier.
Use AI to accelerate your output: You'll leverage AI tools to move faster — automating repetitive tasks, improving workflow efficiency, and helping the team get more done with less. You're not afraid to build something new if it solves a real problem.
WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL NEED (5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE)
Marketing operations depth: You have strong HubSpot proficiency — you can build workflows, pull segmented reports, troubleshoot attribution, and maintain list hygiene without supervision. You understand how the marketing tech stack connects to the broader GTM motion.
Conversion rate optimization experience: You've run CRO experiments — A/B tests, multivariate tests, or iterative page-level optimizations — and know how to read the results and act on them. You approach conversion as a system to be improved, not a one-time project.
Product marketing instincts: You can distill complex product capabilities into clear, compelling messaging. You know what a good positioning document looks like, you've built sales enablement assets, and you understand how to approach a product launch end-to-end.
Operational mindset and strong tech accumen: You like building systems, creating structure where it's missing, and making sure the team has what it needs to execute. You understand how different tech tools, APIs, etc. work together to create workflow efficiency. You're someone who closes loops, owns timelines, and gets satisfaction from running a tight operation.
Strong written communication: You write clearly across contexts — customer emails, internal briefs, product one-pagers, and campaign copy. You don't need a copywriter to get your first draft to a high standard.
Analytical fluency: You're comfortable pulling and interpreting funnel data, building performance dashboards, and sharing insights with the broader team. You know what your numbers mean and why they matter.
Cross-functional collaboration: You work naturally with Sales, Rev Ops, Product, and Customer Success. You communicate proactively, manage expectations well, and are easy to partner with.
BONUS IF YOU HAVE:
Experience in the Shopify or DTC e-commerce ecosystem
Hands-on experience with CRO tools
Background in customer marketing or lifecycle marketing
Familiarity with AI tools for workflow automation and content production
-
Experience using project management tools (Asana, Notion) to run a marketing team

WHY JOIN TAPCART?
We're a Santa Monica-based tech company with the energy of a startup and the momentum of a market leader. At Tapcart, we believe building great products starts with building an environment where passionate people can thrive.
Since our $50M Series B in 2021, we've continued scaling our platform and our community of merchants. Backed by world-class investors and trusted by leading eCommerce brands, we're on a mission to redefine mobile shopping — and we're just getting started.
Demand Gen Director
Tapcart is the leading mobile app platform for the world's fastest-growing Shopify brands. We help marketers and eCommerce teams strengthen their brands and create differentiated customer experiences through a direct mobile channel.
Our platform powers mobile shopping for over 50 million consumers and processes more than $8 billion in revenue annually. Brands like Béis, Aviator Nation, and Ruggable trust Tapcart to turn mobile traffic into high-retention, high-growth relationships — with mobile apps launched in hours, not months.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Director of Marketing (or Director of Demand Gen, depending on your background) to join our growing team at a pivotal moment in Tapcart's growth. This is a senior role that requires someone who can think at a strategic level and execute at a rapid pace.
You'll be a key partner to the Head of Marketing, owning our demand generation engine while also contributing to broader marketing strategy, GTM planning, and team leadership. This is a classic startup marketing role with a director-level scope: you'll shape how we grow, manage real budget, influence how the team operates, and get your hands dirty doing the work.
The ideal candidate has a strong demand gen and B2B SaaS background, a genuine command of AI-powered marketing systems, and the strategic instincts to evolve our positioning and GTM approach as the business scales.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Own and scale our demand generation engine: You'll take full ownership of multi-channel pipeline generation — paid media, email, events, content, partner channels, SEO/AEO — with accountability for qualified pipeline and ROI. You know how to build a demand program that compounds over time, not just one that spends budget.
Bring strategic marketing leadership to the team: You'll help define Tapcart's marketing strategy at the category level — refining our ICP targeting, messaging, campaign architecture, and go-to-market approach. You'll be someone the Head of Marketing can think out loud with and hand the keys to (and vice versa).
Build and optimize GTM systems: You'll architect and maintain the systems that power our go-to-market motion: HubSpot infrastructure, lead scoring, attribution models, nurture workflows, and signal-to-sequence programs. You build things that work while you sleep.
Use AI to 10x our output: You'll be at the forefront of AI-driven marketing, deploying tools and automations that multiply the team's output — from trigger-based outbound and content systems to workflow automation and performance analysis. You build with AI, not just use it.
Cross-functional collaboration and leadership: You’ll driving alignment with Sales, Rev Ops, Product, and CS and contribute to how we structure and prioritize as the teams grow. You're a player-coach who makes the people around them better.
Connect brand to pipeline: You'll ensure Tapcart's campaigns and content aren't just producing impressions, they're producing pipeline. You'll collaborate on brand positioning and campaign concepts while holding yourself accountable to business outcomes.
WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL NEED
Proven demand generation leadership: You've owned multi-channel demand programs in a B2B SaaS environment and have a track record of building qualified pipeline. You've managed real budgets and can speak the language of marketing and sales metrics/KPIs.
Strategic marketing instincts: You can zoom out and develop a positioning framework or GTM strategy, then zoom in and execute a campaign. You're not purely a performance marketer — you understand brand, narrative, and how they compound with paid and organic channels.
AI-powered operational leverage: You use AI tools to build systems and workflows — automating research, enrichment, content production, and reporting — not just to write copy faster. You can evaluate new tools quickly and deploy them with purpose.
Deep marketing tech fluency: You have strong working knowledge of HubSpot (or a comparable MAP) and can build workflows, lifecycle programs, and reporting dashboards from scratch. CRM hygiene and attribution aren't afterthoughts for you.
Strong analytical instincts: You're fluent in funnel metrics, pipeline reporting, and performance analysis. You can pull your own data, identify what's working, and make the case for shifting resources with confidence.
Leadership and cross-functional credibility: You've influenced without full authority — working across Sales, Rev Ops, Product, and Leadership to align on goals and get things done. You're a clear communicator who builds trust quickly.
Startup operating mode: You're energized by fast-moving environments where priorities shift, budgets are tight, and results are what matter. You don't need a large team to operate at a high level — you know how to multiply your own output.
BONUS IF YOU HAVE:
Experience in the Shopify or DTC e-commerce ecosystem
Hands-on experience with Apollo, Zapier, Clay, or similar GTM tooling
Background spanning both brand and performance marketing
Familiarity with programmatic SEO or content-led growth strategies
Prior experience hiring or managing marketing team members

We're a lean team with minimal management and big autonomy. Everyone here builds and code is core to what we do - engineers, product, leadership. We use our own platform, we talk to merchants daily, and we ship constantly. Backed by Shopify, Silver Lake and other top VCs. Profitable and growing
If you want a place where you own real outcomes, not just tickets, you'll fit in.
Why you should join Tapcart, when you have a sea of other options?
You want to work with colleagues who have high standards and who love building beautiful, performant software
