💻 The Role
The Business Operations Manager / Senior Manager plays a significant role in building the functions to unlock growth and help the Company scale. Working directly with Whatnot's leadership team, this role will work cross-functionally to lead large, critical initiatives and solve complicated, unstructured problems.
This role is a terrific introduction to Whatnot, and allows impactful individuals to learn about the business while contributing to a variety of high-impact, critical initiatives.
Take Whatnot global: Our team helped launch Whatnot across the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Canada, and is now focused on helping these markets scale — partnering with Product and Engineering to ensure international needs are built into scalable, global solutions, conducting primary research to identify high-impact opportunities across product, pricing, and incentives, and owning the key metrics that define success in each market including buyer and seller funnels, growth, marketing investments, and margin dynamics
Scale our marketing engine: As Whatnot dramatically scales its investment in marketing, bring business-side rigor to how capital is deployed, measured, and prioritized — deep-diving into complex channel decisions, building nascent capabilities, and ensuring the org and hiring roadmap keeps pace with our ambitions
Build a great business: Partner with StratFin and Data to ensure we are building a healthy, durable business — leading analyses across our key margin levers and growth investments, informing pricing decisions, and translating findings into concrete recommendations and actions for leadership
Help Whatnot run better: Build tooling to serve as a single source of truth for tracking progress against aggressive goals, highlighting key metrics, resource allocation, and blockers — helping teams stay lean and iterate faster
Deliver for our users: Be among the first to pressure-test new products and capabilities Whatnot is building, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations to translate what we learn into initiatives that improve the buyer and seller experience — and owning resolution of high-impact issues end-to-end when things go wrong

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related field
5-6+ years experience in consulting, investment banking/private equity, or a fast-growing startup
Professional fluency in French, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to move remarkably fast with little structure, guidance
Curious to learn about different parts of the business and how to pull certain levers to grow faster
Ability to operate independently and go deep on ambiguous projects

💰Compensation
For US-based applicants: $185,000/year - 215,000/year + benefits + stock options
The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not equity in the form of stock options, or benefits (more details below).

The Impact You Will Have
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be on the front line of Notabene’s growth. We are looking for high-energy, motivated professionals with sound business insight and natural sales instincts. The Opportunity
We are adding a Managing Director, Tax Credit Markets to our Commercial team to rapidly scale our network of buyers, and execute more transactions.
What you'll do
Lead the early review of potential renewable tax credit transactions, assess completeness of the underwriting package.
Collaborate with project developers to gather necessary information and documentation.
Oversee the production of and evaluate diligence memorandums for clean energy tax credits to ensure compliance with regulations, including eligibility criteria, prevailing wage & apprenticeship requirements, etc.
Responsible for maintaining an extensive level of knowledge of transaction structuring, clean energy tax credit industry rules and regulations to inform underwriting decisions.
Formulate standard, comprehensive underwriting policies by credit type.
Build and scale a high-performing team of underwriting principals and senior managers to support growing transaction volume.
Mentor and develop junior talent, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and deep subject matter expertise.
Develop and lead initiatives to improve the underwriting process, including leveraging technology and tools, in collaboration with internal teams such as product engineering, legal, marketing
Analyze financial, technical and legal documents and project feasibility to determine credit eligibility.
Review tax credit insurance policies to ensure adequate risk mitigation.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues with credit claims.
Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for approval or denial of credits.
Contribute to the development of long-term client relationships with tax and finance leaders at the largest F250 tax credit buyers
Build net new relationships for Crux through conferences, networking, outreach, our extensive partnerships, and inbound
Be a trusted expert in the market by speaking on webinars, on panels at conferences, and more
What you bring
14+ years of experience in financial services, renewable energy, or comparable experience
Renewable energy project finance, banking or Big 4 background preferred
Strong understanding of the Inflation Reduction Act, related IRS tax codes, renewable energy industry, underwriting, and risk management
Detail oriented with strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Detailed knowledge of critical aspects of renewable energy project underwriting, including equipment and performance review as well as a baseline understanding of U.S. energy markets including regulatory structures, physical and synthetic forms of power agreements and derivatives, as well as renewables-focused regional incentives.
Well-developed analytical skills which includes the ability to simplify and distill complex problems and issues.
Effective listener and advanced communication skills, both oral and written.
Project management experience, desire to build out a new initiative, lead a team at a growing company
Team-oriented, ability to collaborate across multiple internal and external groups, spanning both commercial teams and technology teams

ABOUT THE JOB
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development who is passionate about the Command, Control, Communications, and Compute (C4) missionization of ground vehicle platforms. Anduril is building the next generation of highly mobile edge infrastructure which supports the vital flow of data and processing power to the front lines, enabling intelligent, AI driven operations, even in the most contested environments.
The ideal candidate has experience working with cloud and edge based systems, bringing advanced tactical communications and compute infrastructure to market, understands and can articulate the key concepts and characteristics of distributed systems, and can build a cohesive, data-driven strategy to penetrate, expand, and deliver at-scale these capabilities direct to the Department of War, its Global partners, and to other industry partners in the United States and around the world.
You will create and shape the strategic long-term business opportunities based on operations analysis, user feedback generated through live force exercises, and engagements with requirements owners, capability portfolio managers, and program offices. The ideal candidate for this role also has experience working directly with ground vehicle Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to missionize platforms that are tightly integrated into the vehicle’s systems, and an understanding of how to work directly with OEMs to bring to market the fully finished and integrated systems.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
