ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US. The company makes it easy for any organization to manage its food needs and order from over 125,000 restaurants nationwide. For workplaces, ezCater provides flexible and scalable solutions for everything from employee meal programs to one-off meetings, all backed by 24/7 service and business-grade reliability. For restaurant partners, ezCater helps grow their business by bringing them new high-value customers and large orders.
The Senior API Specialist plays a key role on ezCater's Partner Solutions team, supporting and scaling our API partner ecosystem through a balanced mix of partner onboarding, technical support, escalation handling, and reliability improvement work. This role owns the partner-facing experience for our GraphQL Orders API and our growing Menus, Delivery, and Store Hours API surfaces — helping external partners build, launch, and maintain successful integrations while serving as the senior point of contact for complex issues, recurring failure patterns, and opportunities to improve how we support API work across the business.
What You'll Do:
Own API onboarding and partner support
Own the onboarding and technical support experience for API partners, guiding them through setup — including API-user and token generation in ezManage, subscriber and subscription creation via GraphQL, and webhook configuration — through testing, launch readiness, and early-life support.
Review Menu API requirements and coordinate with the Menus team to ensure menu structure and mapping allow orders to inject cleanly into a partner's POS or middleware system.
Support external partners and integrators through Zendesk, Slack, email, and live troubleshooting sessions, ensuring timely communication and clear next steps.
Engage regularly with partners and vendors dispersed across North America via email, video conferencing, and screen sharing.
Act as the senior escalation point
Serve as the go-to technical resource for complex API issues, including payload and mapping problems, authentication and token errors, webhook delivery and HMAC signature-validation failures, order-flow issues (Order Accepted / Cancelled / Menu Updated), and Delivery API lifecycle events.
Reproduce and isolate issues using tools like Postman and GraphQL, inspecting webhook payloads and logs to identify root cause — and know when to drive resolution independently versus escalate to Engineering with clean, well-documented reproduction steps.
Partner with Product, Engineering, PMO, Menus, and Operations teams to investigate issues, drive resolutions, and improve the overall API partner experience.
Drive reliability and scale
Monitor trends in API tickets and incidents, identify recurring failure patterns, and recommend process, tooling, or documentation improvements that reduce future support volume.
Use observability and analytics tools (e.g., SumoLogic for API health, Sigma for usage trends) to surface risks early and improve visibility into integration health.
Contribute to a more proactive support model by helping shape scalable processes as API volume and partner surface area grows.
Shape how the team supports the API
Help define and improve support playbooks, troubleshooting guides, Zendesk macros, and internal and external developer documentation for API work.
Provide technical training and enablement to internal teammates and external partners, raising the team's overall fluency in API support and troubleshooting.
Support Menus API, Delivery API, Store Hours, and related partner communications, helping partners understand technical requirements, expected behaviors, and available integration paths.
Contribute to partner communication and migration planning as the platform evolves, including the v1 GraphQL-to-v2 REST transition, helping partners migrate on a stable, well-understood path.
Build strong working relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders while operating with a high degree of ownership, judgment, and autonomy.
Mentor teammates and serve as a senior technical resource across the Integrations group.
What You Have:
Strong experience supporting API-based integrations in a technical support, implementation, partner support, or solutions-oriented role.
Hands-on experience with GraphQL and/or REST APIs, and comfort interpreting JSON and XML, reading logs, and reasoning about webhook and event-driven flows.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues under pressure with structured problem-solving and strong follow-through.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience managing escalations, balancing multiple priorities, and knowing when to drive independently versus pull in cross-functional partners.
Strong operational mindset and a desire to improve systems, documentation, and workflows rather than only handling issues one at a time.
Ability to connect technical issues back to customer, partner, and business impact.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools, systems, and integration patterns as our partner ecosystem evolves.
Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings and other events, when applicable.
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting external developers, technical partners, or B2B SaaS integrations.
Familiarity with API testing and debugging tools — Postman, GraphQL, webhook inspection, and HMAC signature validation.
Familiarity with Zendesk or similar support platforms and experience working across support and project-based workflows.
Experience with API support, Menus API workflows, or third-party restaurant technology and integration partners (e.g., Olo, Deliverect, Toast, Otter, Paytronix, Checkmate).
Experience with monitoring and observability (e.g., SumoLogic) and analytics (e.g., Sigma) to track API health and trends.
Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python for data analysis, log investigation, or lightweight automation.
Exposure to proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, or reliability improvement work in a partner-facing environment.
Experience with API versioning, migrations, or deprecation planning with external partners.
Experience mentoring teammates or serving as a go-to escalation resource in a fast-paced environment.

ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US. The company makes it easy for any organization to manage its food needs and order from over 125,000 restaurants nationwide. For workplaces, ezCater provides flexible and scalable solutions for everything from employee meal programs to one-off meetings, all backed by 24/7 service and business-grade reliability. For restaurant partners, ezCater helps grow their business by bringing them new high-value customers and large orders.
ezCater is looking for a Staff Security Engineer, GRC to join the Security Engineering & Compliance team as a technical leader who can help mature our governance, risk, compliance, and data security capabilities in a way that is durable, measurable, and embedded into how our systems operate day to day. This is not a narrow audit coordinator or policy only role. We’re looking for a balanced builder-operator who can raise the quality and maturity of our security controls by expanding control monitoring, strengthening data security governance, automating and instrumenting the program where stronger evidence and better monitoring are needed, and improving the operational follow through that makes the program scalable, sustainable, and effective.
What You'll Do:
Lead control program maturity
Design and maintain an auditable control framework that fits ezCater’s SaaS, cloud, data, and engineering environment rather than forcing generic controls onto modern systems.
Shape and define ezCater’s AI Governance strategy with stakeholders across the Legal, Data, Engineering, and IT domains.
Define how key controls are implemented, tested, evidenced, and improved over time, with a strong bias toward reliability and highly-automated, low/no friction evidence paths.
Partner with internal and external audit stakeholders on control design, walkthroughs, exceptions, remediation, and readiness activities tied to SOX and related frameworks.
Help rationalize overlapping control requirements across SOC 2, PCI, SOX, and internal policy expectations into a coherent operating model.
Build continuous control monitoring and automation
Identify where quarterly or annual checks should become continuous or near-real-time monitoring, especially for high-value controls and failure-prone workflows.
Partner with Security Engineering, IT, Data, and platform teams to automate control testing, evidence collection, validation, and recurring compliance workflows.
Define the logs, metadata, dashboards, and signals needed to assess control health and make compliance more observable and less dependent on screenshots and one-off pulls.
Help shift the program from detective-only controls toward stronger preventive and engineering-embedded control patterns where appropriate.
Expand data security policy and program quality
Help define and mature data security policies, standards, and handling requirements so they are clear, enforceable, and tied to actual technical and operational practices.
Partner with Data, Engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure data governance shows up in meaningful places such as access patterns, role design, labels, masking, retention, and evidence paths.
Establish what a high-quality GRC program looks like by helping define operating cadences, ownership models, decision paths, metrics, and continuous improvement loops.
Drive clearer documentation, standards, and guidance that both technical teams and auditors can use effectively.
Drive operational quality improvements
Support day-to-day GRC and assurance work where hands-on execution is needed to keep the program moving, including control failures, remediation coordination, audit operations, and related follow-through.
Improve the team’s ability to handle questionnaires, trust requests, vendor and partner reviews, and other recurring work through better structure, reusable materials, and smarter agentic workflows.
Act as a practical partner to teams implementing or remediating controls, not just an assessor of whether the control exists on paper.
Lead through influence and systems thinking
Own a domain with high autonomy, lead cross-team efforts from start to finish, and improve the quality of systems, controls, and processes across that domain.
Drive alignment across stakeholders with different incentives and constraints, making pragmatic decisions that balance risk, cost, and operational reality.
Mentor others, improve documentation and knowledge sharing, and help raise the overall maturity of the Security Engineering & Compliance team and its partners.
What You Have:
8+ experience in security GRC, compliance, risk, or security program work in a SaaS or cloud-native environment, including meaningful ownership of control design, testing, and program improvement.
Strong experience with security compliance frameworks such as ISO-27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, ITGC, and PCI-DSS, including how to translate framework requirements into controls that work in real systems and teams.
Demonstrated ability to automate or instrument parts of a compliance or assurance program through scripting, APIs, dashboards, platform configuration, or other technical approaches.
Implementation of engineering system guardrails for ensuring compliance utilizing Policy-as-Code (Terraform) or secure configurations of platform systems within cloud hosted environments (AWS, GitHub, etc.)
Experience building or improving data security governance, classification, handling rules, or related control practices across business systems, data platforms, or collaboration environments.
Familiarity with governing and securing AI/Agentic systems and business processing.
Strong written communication and cross-functional influence skills, with the ability to explain controls, trade-offs, and program expectations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Able to collaborate closely with engineers and technical teams to design controls as code, configuration, workflow, or monitoring instead of relying only on policy documents and manual checklists.
Strong systems thinker who can break ambiguous governance problems into workable operating models, measurable outcomes, and implementation steps.
Comfortable balancing strategic design work with operational execution when the program needs direct hands-on support.
Someone who improves process quality, identifies gaps between teams, and drives implementation of better ways of working.
Comfortable leveraging AI tooling and automated workflows to increase scale and velocity.
Nice To Have:
Experience with scaling a unified control framework across multiple governance and compliance frameworks
Experience with continuous control monitoring, policy-as-code, or GRC platforms and evidence tooling.
Familiarity with AI governance or emerging technology risk, especially where governance needs to be translated into practical technical guardrails.
The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $165,000–$210,000 annually.*

ezCater is building the most trusted marketplace for enterprise catering — and this role is how we get there. As the first dedicated leader of Trust & Safety, you will define what that means, build the team and systems to deliver it, and make it a durable competitive advantage. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership opportunity for someone who thrives in builder environments and is passionate about the infrastructure that makes marketplaces work.
Reporting to the Director of Network Health and working closely with the Assistant General Counsel you will lead the strategy and execution of ezCater’s building and maintaining a safe and trusted marketplace. You will develop collaborative and impact-driven partnerships across ezCater, including legal, operations, sales, marketing, and product. This is a high-visibility role requiring judgment, a "builder" mindset, and a passion for creating safe, reliable B2B ecosystems.
What you’ll do:
Define what trust means at ezCater. Develop definitional protocols to identify trust-breaching customer experiences and to recommend optimal response strategies along with communication.
Transform policy into playbooks by developing SOPs, response scripts, and centralized tracking systems for the team.
Hire, lead, and scale a Trust & Safety team tasked with policy enforcement, dispute support, and network health compliance.
Own the trust pulse of the marketplace. Establish processes for monitoring by type and frequency trust-breaching incidents and prepare periodic reports to leadership regarding overall state of Marketplace Trust.
Write the rules that govern our marketplace. Design trust policies to govern marketplace participation by Restaurant Partners and and other third parties critical to quality customer experience, and develop internal training and monitoring processes to ensure compliance with policies.
Shape our AI Trust vision. Be the internal voice for how Trust and Safety will evolve alongside AI adoption, ensuring our approach to AI maintains consumer sentiment and safety.
Align the company around consistent enforcement. Establish clear boundaries and shared standards across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product to ensure policy enforcement is consistent and frictionless.
Lead our highest-stakes responses. Provide best-in-class advice on response strategies to trust-breaching events, including meeting with and helping draft communications to key Enterprise customer stakeholders and national-scale Restaurant Partner brands.
Own investigation and escalation. Lead internal fact gathering to support legal’s investigation into actual or potential disputes arising from trust-breaching events or escalations, including communication with Public Health agencies where needed.
What you have:
10+ years in the arena with deep T&S ownership, or comparable experience in Operations, Product or Compliance functions for a Technology Company, at least 3 of which must have required primary ownership of Trust and Safety program design and implementation.
A track record of building and leading high performing teams, with at least 5 years of experience directly hiring, managing, and developing front-line teams, specifically those tasked with high-volume escalations, disputes, and policy enforcement.
Hands-on experience designing dispute resolutions from scratch. Strong background in building and scaling dispute resolution and appeals processes from the ground up.
Elite judgment under pressure. Battle-tested decisiveness in high-stakes situations, with exceptional discretion and a practical head for business.
Proven ability to turn hard problems into measurable impact. A track record of attacking complex problems with a customer-centric focus and launching solutions with demonstrable business results.
A proactive, self-directed learning mindset. Demonstrated ability to identify knowledge gaps and fill them zealously through research — with the intellectual curiosity and work ethic to get up to speed fast on ezCater's evolving business.
Exceptional communication at every level. Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to draft executive-level reporting, customer-facing communications, and internal policy documents.
Academic foundation. Completion of a 4-year accredited college program required; advanced graduate study preferred, especially in a field related to this work.
The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $145,000–$217,000 annually.*
