Anrok is the leading tax automation platform enabling businesses to expand globally without compliance complexity.
As the digital economy has grown 6x over the last decade, software businesses have gone from not worrying about sales tax to needing to monitor exposure, calculate rates, and file returns across 50 US jurisdictions and 100+ countries. This creates a critical bottleneck for companies that should be able to transact with customers everywhere.
Anrok eliminates this complexity by connecting with billing and payment systems to automate tax monitoring, calculations, and filing end-to-end. Our unified platform handles the ever-changing maze of tax laws at municipal, state, and federal levels—so companies can focus on growth, not compliance.
Our customers include:
- 40% of Forbes Top 50 AI companies
- 20% of Forbes Top 100 Cloud companies
- Top companies like Notion, Anthropic, and Cursor
We're making compliant digital commerce a reality for companies big and small, backed by over $100M from leading investors including Sequoia, Spark, Index, and Khosla Ventures.
As the Platform and AI Infrastructure Engineering Manager, you'll own the shared systems and AI infrastructure on which the rest of Anrok builds on. As we grow, well-designed platform spanning authn and authz, RBAC, FGAC, audit trails and more, along with AI infrastructure is the backbone that lets every other team move fast without compromising the compliance workflows our customers depend on.
You have the opportunity to drive execution and strategy for an exceptional team, help shape the product roadmap, and coach and develop senior engineers. We work primarily in TypeScript and React, but prior experience is not required.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Hire, manage, and grow a talented team building the platform and AI infrastructure that powers Anrok's product.
- Set the product and technical strategy, while driving processes for high quality execution.
- Write and review code alongside the engineers on the team as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and healthy culture of feedback, opportunity, and growth for the team.
- Contribute to the Anrok engineering culture and initiatives.
- Find appropriate uses of AI in both the creation of automations or as the automation itself.
- Help grow the team—mentoring engineers, contributing to technical culture, and raising the bar on how we build.
WHAT EXCITES US
- 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, with significant experience as a software engineer.
- Track record of figuring out how to set individuals and teams up for success.
- You enjoy coding and have strong technical acumen to guide the team through product and technical decisions.
- Experience building AI infrastructure—you've built and operated the systems beneath LLM-powered or agentic products in production, and you understand firsthand what makes them reliable and maintainable at scale.
- A track record of building shared services and components that support internal engineering teams—the foundational primitives and tooling that the rest of the org builds on, designed to make every other team faster.
- You’re curious and motivated to learn new tools — you've experimented with AI in your work or on your own, you're excited about what's possible, and you've built something with it (an application, a workflow, a creative solution to a real problem) that you can walk us through.
WHAT WE OFFER
- The equity upside of an early-stage startup with the product-market fit of a later-stage company.
- Daily lunch and snacks for those working out of our office hubs.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance covered 100%.
- One Medical membership covered, flexible sick benefits, and more.
- Annual learning and development stipend for books, online courses, and conferences, as well as a curious team to share your learnings with.
- Annual team off-sites and in-person opportunities around our growing Anrok hubs.
- Home office setup stipend to ensure you have the equipment you need to thrive at work.
At Anrok, we embrace a dynamic and flexible hybrid work environment based out of our growing office hubs - San Francisco, New York City, and Salt Lake City where we collaborate in-person 3 days per week.
Please be aware, job-seekers may be at risk of targeting by malicious actors looking for personal data. Anrok recruiters will only reach out via LinkedIn or email with an anrok.com http://anrok.com domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Anrok via other sources should be ignored.

We’re looking for an experienced technology leader to own and evolve Anrok’s internal technology infrastructure as we scale. As our first Head of Security & Business AI Applications, you’ll be the single owner of corporate IT, application security, compliance obligations, and AI-powered internal tooling—building the systems that let a rapidly growing team operate securely and efficiently. This is a high-impact role reporting to our COO, with direct influence over how Anrok runs as a company.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Build the infrastructure to support teams building AI-powered internal tools and infrastructure, deploying LLM-based automations, internal copilots, and agentic workflows to improve how Anrok operates at scale
- Lead Anrok’s application security program, partnering with engineering to identify risks, drive secure development practices, and protect sensitive customer financial data
- Own corporate IT infrastructure and operations—including endpoint management, SaaS stack administration, and IT support—managing and developing our IT team member
- Own all compliance obligations end-to-end, including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and GDPR—serving as the DRI for audits, renewals, and cross-functional readiness
- Develop and enforce security policies, access controls, and governance frameworks that grow with the business
- Partner with Legal and Finance on data privacy obligations, vendor risk management, and third-party security assessments
- Evaluate, procure, and manage the internal technology stack, ensuring we’re using the right tools as we scale
- Report on security and compliance posture to executive leadership as needed
WHAT EXCITES US
- 10+ years in IT, security, or a related technical role, with 3+ years in a leadership position at a scaling tech company
- Hands-on experience building or deploying AI/LLM-powered internal tools or automations—you default to AI-first solutions for operational problems
- Strong application security fundamentals—you can review AppSec findings, work with engineers on remediations, and evaluate risk without needing to write the code yourself
- Genuine familiarity with GDPR and international data privacy obligations, relevant to a fintech handling customer financial data across jurisdictions
- Track record of building lightweight but durable compliance and governance programs—practical, not checkbox theater
- Proven ownership of SOC 2 Type II renewals end-to-end—you’ve been the DRI, not just a contributor
- Technically credible with strong business fluency: you can present to a board, negotiate a vendor contract, and review a penetration test in the same week
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, builds scalable systems, and knows when to automate vs. hire
- You’re curious and motivated to learn new tools — you've experimented with AI in your work or on your own, you're excited about what's possible, and you've built something with it (an application, a workflow, a creative solution to a real problem) that you can walk us through.

We're seeking a Post-Sales Solutions Engineer to help drive expansion within our existing customer base. You'll transform technical expertise into measurable revenue outcomes, working at the intersection of sales, product, and engineering to unlock new opportunities and ensure long-term partnerships.
You'll become the trusted technical advisor customers rely on, mastering our platform capabilities and developing deep expertise in sales tax compliance and enterprise integrations. By bridging customer business objectives with technical solutions, you'll establish Anrok as the strategic partner customers rely on as they scale their business.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Own technical discovery for expansion — conduct ongoing discovery within existing accounts to uncover new use cases, geographic expansion, and integration opportunities. Create technical roadmaps that map customer objectives to Anrok capabilities.
- Partner on account strategy — work closely with Account Managers on expansion prioritization, account planning, and QBRs. Provide technical qualification and strategic insights that inform forecasting.
- Lead complex implementations — drive expansion implementations including multi-entity configurations and advanced feature deployments. Create parallel workstreams to accelerate time-to-value and monitor implementation health proactively.
- Run live technical consultations — lead troubleshooting calls and configuration sessions with confidence. Demonstrate composure during high-pressure escalations and adapt technical depth based on your audience in real-time.
- Be the Voice of the Customer — channel technical feedback, integration requirements, and product gaps to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities.
- Manage technical escalations — own the Technical Solutions queue for complex configurations and troubleshooting. Maintain SLAs for response and resolution, document issues comprehensively, and escalate to Engineering with complete context.
- Build the playbook — create implementation guides, expansion frameworks, and reusable assets. Mentor new team members and deliver internal training as the SE function scales.
WHAT EXCITES US
- 5+ years as a Solutions Engineer or Solutions Architect in SaaS
- Deep experience with REST APIs, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations — especially in billing, financial, or compliance software
- You default to automation — you use AI and modern tooling to move faster, document better, and scale your impact beyond what's possible through manual effort alone
- You stay calm under pressure — comfortable leading escalation calls and adapting your approach in real-time
- You distill complex technical concepts for any audience, from engineering teams to C-suite executives
- You're a fast learner who builds genuine domain expertise and proactively closes knowledge gaps
- You bring structure to ambiguity — whether qualifying an expansion opportunity, triaging an escalation queue, or building a process from scratch
- Track record of increasing scope and responsibility, ideally including in-seat promotions
- You’re curious and motivated to learn new tools — you've experimented with AI in your work or on your own, you're excited about what's possible, and you've built something with it (an application, a workflow, a creative solution to a real problem) that you can walk us through.
