Who we are
Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress.
Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We’re changing that.
Atoms builds Physical AI— real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport. Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive.
This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don’t just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale.
We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.
If you want to work on hard problems with real-world impact, join us.
What we’re looking for
Actively pursuing a Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
Graduating in Summer/Fall/Winter 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
3.7 GPA Minimum
Must have completed an introductory Computer Science course
Have advanced programming experience in one or more application or systems languages (Go, Python, Ruby, Java, Kotlin, C/C++, etc.)
A problem-solver who thrives in tackling diverse technical challenges and demonstrates a clear track record of growth and learning
A take-charge individual who exhibits ownership and takes pride in writing clean, maintainable, and fun code
An engineer who can dive deep into open source software, find issues, and fix them.
What you’ll do
As an engineering intern at Atoms, you'll be an integral part of building out the state-of-the-art intelligent machine for the food industry. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
You will build foundational software systems to enable globally scaled kitchen infrastructure and real estate innovations
You test software development methodology in an agile environment
You provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
You work alongside other engineers to elevate technology and improve systems overall
You write, debug, maintain and test code
You design scalable, fault tolerant architectural systems
You develop information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions
You drive innovation within the team and support Atoms’ technological advancements
Why join us
At Atoms, you’ll work on one of the defining challenges of our time—bringing automation into the physical world to drive real, lasting impact. We exist to uncover valuable unknown truths and turn them into progress, which means constantly pushing beyond what’s known and building what doesn’t yet exist. The work is ambitious and often challenging, but it’s grounded in a shared sense of purpose and a team committed to seeing it through together. Our work only matters if it serves others, and we know that meaningful progress depends on the trust of the people we serve and the strength of our team—so we invest in both, creating an environment where you can do your best work and grow.
What else you need to know
This role can be based in New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, Mountain View or San Francisco. Atoms is a company driven by invention and continuous change - we are constantly reimagining our industries, building new products, and refining how we operate. We do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.
The base starting rate for this role is $70.00 per hour.
Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Program Dates: January - April, our Winter Internship cohort runs from early January through late April.
Application Timeline: Getting a head start on your job search? So are we! We’re building our candidate pipeline now for our upcoming internship positions. Feel free to submit your resume today, we’ll be reviewing applications over the coming weeks and will reach out directly if your background is a match when interviews begin in the Fall.

Who we are
Pronto AI is a global leader in commercializing autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, deploying Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) that automate operations in mines, quarries, and construction sites worldwide. While much of the industry remains in R&D, we deliver real, production-ready autonomy that is already operating in the field.
We are on a mission to make mining operations safer, smarter, and more efficient through cutting-edge technology, and we are building toward becoming the world’s first profitable AV technology company.
About the role
Pronto is seeking a seasoned mining professional to lead our on-site deployments. As the Field Operations Manager, you will be the bridge between Pronto’s cutting-edge technology and the customer’s day-to-day mining operations. You will be responsible for managing a high-performing technical team, ensuring the customer meets their infrastructure commitments, and delivering the project according to strict performance and safety criteria.
What you’ll do
Project Delivery & Management
Success Criteria: Deliver projects to the agreed-upon performance metrics and success criteria, ensuring the autonomous system is integrated seamlessly into the mine’s production cycle.
Team Leadership: Manage the local field team, overseeing permitting, scheduling, safety compliance, and overall work performance.
Customer Management: Hold the customer accountable for their deliverables, including resource commitments, machine availability, and site/route/equipment readiness.
Strategic Liaison
Primary Point of Contact: Act as the central communication hub between the customer site and Pronto HQ, providing regular progress reports and escalating technical or operational blockers.
Process Integration: Work with customers to set up or modify existing operational processes to accommodate autonomous haulage.
Handover & Training: Lead the customer training programs on Pronto technology and manage the formal handover of the system to the mine’s operations team.
What we’re looking for
Experience & Education
Mining Expertise: 15+ years of direct mining experience. You must be extremely comfortable and knowledgeable in a mine site environment, understanding the nuances of production and safety.
Leadership Tenure: 5–10 years in a leadership role (e.g., Site Superintendent, Maintenance Manager, or Fleet Manager).
Tech Rollout Experience: Proven track record of actively participating in technology rollouts, such as autonomy, remote operations, telematics, or machine control systems.
Education: A University Degree in Mining Engineering is required to establish immediate credibility with customer stakeholders.
Competencies
Operational Authority: The ability to command respect on-site and influence customer decision-making to ensure site readiness.
Adaptability: Deep understanding of how to transition a mine from manual to technology-assisted or autonomous operations.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive-level stakeholders at both the customer and Pronto.
Working Conditions & Schedule
On-Site Deployment: This is an on-site role. During deployments, you will stay regional to the customer in local accommodations or in customer-provided quarters.
Mining Schedule: Working schedules are based on mining rotations (e.g., x weeks on, y weeks off) rather than a standard office week.
Current Project Commitment: To complete the existing demo at Ma’aden, the successful candidate should expect to spend approximately 2 months remaining on-site.
Physical Requirements
Ability to traverse rugged mine sites and work in extreme environmental conditions.
Compliance with all site-specific health and safety requirements, including medical clearances.
Why join us
Work on real, production-deployed autonomy.
Build technology that directly improves safety, efficiency, and productivity.
Tackle complex challenges in demanding, real-world environments.
Be part of a fast-moving team with high ownership and impact.
See your work deployed and making a difference in the field.
Collaborate closely with experienced engineers and industry operators.
What else you need to know
This is a field-based role supporting operations across the United States. Atoms is a company driven by invention and continuous change—we are constantly reimagining our industries, building new products, and refining how we operate. This position requires travel across the U.S. up to 75% of the time. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent travel and a highly mobile work environment.
The base salary range for this role is $139,000 - $176,000 per year.
Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards.

Who we are
In the past, to be a successful restaurateur, you simply had to have a passion for food and a passion for people - but to succeed as a digital restaurateur you also need to have a passion for technology. We believe in the joy of serving others, and that's why we created Otter – to help restaurateurs succeed in online food delivery. Restaurants around the world, both large and small, including Chick-fil-A, Ben & Jerry’s, KFC, and Eataly trust our software to power their delivery business. We increase sales, reduce order issues, and decrease delivery headaches.
What you’ll do
Build and evolve Otter Insights — enable customers to answer questions like “How’s my business doing?”, “What should I focus on today”, and “What do I owe for taxes” through best-in-class data intensive applications and experiences.
Ship full-stack product features with end to end ownership: React/TypeScript UI in Fiber micro-frontends, data integration via GraphQL and analytics APIs, and close partnership with data/platform engineers on metrics definitions and data correctness.
Modernize our product suite: add chat with your data, data storytelling, scheduled reports, and other features that modernizes our product suite.
Build a reusable platform: support our engineering community through reusable FE components and building a Board Maker product to ship dashboards through a no-code interface.
Own quality and reliability through layered testing with Jest, and Cypress and building performance testing frameworks.
What we’re looking for
3+ years building production web applications, with strong ownership of features from design through launch and iteration.
Deep frontend expertise in React and TypeScript: component architecture, hooks, state management, data fetching (React Query, Apollo/GraphQL), and building accessible, performant data-heavy UIs.
Full-stack mindset — comfortable working across the stack: consuming and shaping API contracts, debugging data discrepancies with backend/analytics services.
Experience with analytics or BI products — dashboards, reporting, metrics exploration, financial/operational reporting, or similar; bonus if you've built charting, filtering, or self-serve analytics experiences.
Strong engineering fundamentals — ownership mindset, testing discipline, TypeScript rigor, and code review culture
Product sensibility — you care about restaurateur-facing UX, building trust through data, and collaborating with product and UX design on customer experiences.
Collaboration and communication — you work well with PM/Design/Data partners, give clear technical feedback, and thrive in a fast-moving, onsite, cross-functional environment.
Nice to have: experience with visualization libraries (e.g. Visx, D3, Recharts), Cypress E2E testing, internationalization (Rosetta), Mixpanel/product analytics, or data platforms (Cube, Pinot, warehouse-style analytics).
Why join us

Changing the restaurant industry: You’ll be part of a team that helps restaurants succeed in online food delivery.
