Location: Cambridge, MA
Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 base salary (Bonus + equity commensurate with experience)
The Role
Blitzy is looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer to serve as a frontline technical resource for our growing team. In this role, you'll handle day-to-day service desk tickets, support new hire onboarding, and manage end-user access across our core business applications. ABOUT BLITZY
Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based AI software development platform on a mission to revolutionize the software development life cycle by autonomously building custom software to unlock the next industrial revolution. We're transforming how enterprises build software, turning enterprise requirements into production-ready code with an agentic software development platform that can autonomously execute 80% of the quantum of software development work. We're backed by multiple tier 1 investors, and have proven success as founders of previous start-ups.
Location: Remote (U.S.), with occasional travel for key customer workshops
Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000 base salary (bonus + equity commensurate with experience)
Eligibility: U.S. citizenship required (customer badging requirement); no security clearance required
THE ROLE
As a Site Reliability Engineer on Blitzy's Public Sector team, you will be the backbone of our platform's reliability and operational excellence for a dedicated enterprise customer opportunity in a highly regulated industry. You'll deploy and operate Blitzy's self-hosted platform within the customer's secure cloud environment, serving as Blitzy's embedded engineer on the account. You'll work at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure, and customer success, ensuring our AI-powered development platform remains highly available and performant in one of the most demanding security environments in enterprise software. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for an engineer who thrives in a fast-moving environment and takes deep ownership of the systems they operate.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- In 30 days: You have a deep understanding of Blitzy's self-hosted deployment architecture, have begun customer onboarding, and are actively supporting deployment planning alongside customer infrastructure teams.
- In 90 days: You are operating inside the customer environment, have stood up and hardened the deployment, and have established monitoring, alerting, and incident response workflows that meet the customer's security requirements.
- In 6 months: The platform is running reliably at scale with defined SLOs and validated capacity headroom, and you are the trusted technical voice for the customer's infrastructure, security, and platform teams.
AREAS OF OWNERSHIP
- Deploy, operate, and maintain Blitzy's self-hosted platform within a customer-controlled, secure cloud environment.
- Own the Kubernetes-based deployment: releases, upgrades, capacity planning, and performance benchmarking for compute-intensive AI workloads.
- Design and maintain observability — logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting — that operates fully within the customer's security boundary.
- Serve as Blitzy's on-account technical presence: partner with customer infrastructure, security, and governance teams on provisioning, reviews, documentation, and operational escalations.
- Handle sensitive customer data in accordance with customer security requirements; champion security best practices across the deployment.
- Feed lessons learned back into Blitzy's product and infrastructure roadmap to strengthen our self-hosted offering for future public sector customers.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- U.S. citizenship (customer badging requirement) and ability to complete a customer background/badging process.
- 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration; hands-on experience deploying software into customer-controlled or restricted environments.
- Experience operating in isolated, restricted, or otherwise highly regulated network environments (defense, government, financial services, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent) and at least one major cloud platform.
- Deep expertise in observability tooling, incident management, and on-call practices.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills — you will work directly with customer engineering, security, and governance stakeholders and represent Blitzy on the account.
WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT
- Experience deploying or operating software in government-accredited or similarly certified cloud environments.
- Familiarity with handling sensitive data and security frameworks common to regulated industries.
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads or their supporting infrastructure.
- Prior forward-deployed, residency, or embedded-engineer experience at an enterprise customer site.
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment where you wore multiple hats.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
You won't be maintaining legacy systems or fighting fires in a sprawling monolith. You'll be a founding reliability engineer for Blitzy's public sector business — operating a greenfield deployment of an AI platform that is redefining how the world creates software, inside one of the most security-conscious enterprises in the country. Your work directly shapes the playbook for the government and defense customers that follow. You'll have direct influence over architectural decisions, work side-by-side with world-class engineers, and see the tangible impact of your work from day one.

FinOps Engineer

About Blitzy
Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based AI software development platform on a mission to revolutionize the software development life cycle by autonomously building custom software to unlock the next industrial revolution. We're transforming how enterprises build software, turning enterprise requirements into production-ready code with an agentic software development platform that can autonomously execute 80% of the quantum of software development work. We're backed by multiple tier 1 investors, and have proven success as founders of previous start-ups.
Location: Cambridge, MA
Compensation: $170,000 - $220,000 base (bonus + equity commensurate with experience)
The Role
We're looking for a FinOps Engineer to join our team and build our infrastructure cost optimization practice from the ground up. You'll own cloud cost governance across AWS, Azure, GCP, and our on-premises environments, partnering closely with our Engineering, Platform, and US-based Finance teams to turn infrastructure spend into a source of strategic advantage rather than a line item to manage.
This is an opportunity to define how Blitzy thinks about cost as we scale — from forecasting and tagging standards to the cost allocation platform that powers our unit economics.
What Success Looks Like
- Cloud spend across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-prem is actively optimized, with clear, ongoing reductions that don't compromise reliability or performance.
- A company-wide FinOps practice is in place — governance, forecasting, budgeting, and tagging standards that engineering and finance both trust.
- Finance can reliably attribute infrastructure costs to products, services, and customers, giving leadership accurate COGS reporting and unit economics.
- Dashboards and data pipelines give engineering and finance one shared, trusted view of infrastructure costs across every cloud provider.
- Cost considerations are built into how Engineering and Platform teams design infrastructure, run Kubernetes, and make architecture decisions — not bolted on after the fact.
Areas of Ownership
- Own infrastructure cost optimization across AWS, Azure, GCP, and our on-premises environments by identifying opportunities to reduce spend while maintaining reliability and performance.
- Build and own a company-wide FinOps practice, including cloud cost governance, forecasting, budgeting, tagging standards, and executive reporting.
- Partner with Finance to design and implement a cost allocation platform that accurately attributes infrastructure costs to products, services, and customers, enabling COGS reporting and unit economics.
- Develop dashboards, analytics, and data pipelines that consolidate billing and operational data from multiple cloud providers, giving engineering and finance a single source of truth for infrastructure costs.
- Work closely with Engineering and Platform teams to incorporate cost optimization into infrastructure design, Kubernetes operations, and cloud architecture, ensuring cost is considered alongside scalability, security, and reliability.
Required Experience
- 4+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or a related infrastructure/finance-facing engineering role
- Hands-on experience managing cost across at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes cost management and how workload design decisions impact spend
- Experience building dashboards and data pipelines that consolidate multi-source billing and usage data
- Familiarity with FinOps frameworks and practices — tagging governance, forecasting, budgeting, and chargeback/showback models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across time zones and maintain overlap with our US-based Finance and Engineering teams
What Makes You Stand Out
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent certification
- Experience with cloud cost management platforms (e.g., CloudHealth, Cloudability, Kubecost, native cloud cost tools)
- Background building or scaling a cost allocation model tied to COGS or unit economics reporting
- Experience partnering directly with Finance teams, not just Engineering
- Prior experience at a fast-growing startup managing multi-cloud, multi-environment infrastructure
What Makes This Role Different
As our first FinOps hire, you'll define the practice company-wide, with direct visibility into how infrastructure spend connects to Blitzy's unit economics and executive reporting — all while working in close, overlapping hours with our US-based Finance and Engineering teams.

What Makes This Role Different
As Blitzy's Security Architect, you'll shape the security strategy for an agentic platform that autonomously writes production code, placing you at the frontier of securing the agentic software development lifecycle rather than just conventional infrastructure. You'll operate with direct visibility to executive leadership, translating novel vulnerability research into company-wide mitigation strategy rather than executing someone else's roadmap.

- Support ongoing upgrades and day-to-day operation, keeping customer environments stable.
- Work alongside L1 to triage and resolve customer-reported issues, driving them to resolution or escalation.
- Diagnose failures across the stack: compute, networking, storage, and the services running on it.
- Reproduce issues safely against live (often multi-tenant) environments using read-only diagnostics first.
- Build and maintain dashboards, monitors, and runbooks so recurring issues get faster to fix: or stop recurring.
- Write up clear, evidence-backed escalations and post-incident notes.
- Communicate status and resolution to customers clearly and on time.
Required Experience
- Distributed-systems debugging. Reason about a request crossing multiple services, queues, and network hops, and isolate which hop failed. You debug by forming a hypothesis and confirming it with evidence (logs, pod state, queue depth, DB rows), not by guessing.
- Kubernetes & Docker.
- Major cloud providers: GCP, AWS, and Azure. Hands-on with at least one deeply and able to work across the others: managed Kubernetes (GKE/AKS), cloud logging, IAM/auth basics, and cloud disk/storage behavior.
- Strong monitoring & observability practice. Fluent with an APM/observability stack (Datadog or equivalent): log queries, correlating across services by request/trace IDs, reading traces, and building dashboards and alerts. You reach for the data before theorizing.
Additional Skills & Experience
- Python and Redis literacy.
- Basic message queueing. Command transport runs over a message queue (Redis/rq). Comfort inspecting queue depth, backlogs, and stuck/failed jobs; concepts transfer from any broker.
- Networking & WebSockets. Many of our hardest issues are connection problems: WebSocket/Socket.IO http://Socket.IO drops, NAT/idle/LB timeouts, half-open sockets, DNS-vs-routing, TLS. Tell a transport fault from an application fault.
- SQL / PostgreSQL. Query operational tables to confirm what the system recorded.
- Source-control platforms. GitHub (incl. GitHub Enterprise Server), Azure DevOps, and/or GitLab, clone/push/pull, access tokens, app credentials, and their failure modes.
- CI/CD, Helm & deploy integrity. Many "sudden regressions" are a bad or partial deploy: check what version is actually running before chasing architecture theories. Helm and container deploy pipelines expected. ArgoCD is a plus.
- Secrets management. Comfort handling secrets, credentials, and certificates safely, ideally with Vault (strongly preferred).
- Linux and Windows. Workloads run on both; comfort triaging on each OS (process inspection, filesystem, basic networking).
- Methodical, evidence-first temperament. Hold several candidate causes at once, run the cheapest disconfirming check first, and never claim a root cause or fix you haven't proven.
- Multi-tenant safety mindset. Environments are shared and customer-owned: default to read-only diagnostics and understand blast radius before changing anything.
- Incident management & ticketing workflows: Jira or similar (a plus).
- Prior customer-facing support or SRE/on-call experience (a plus).
Hours & On-Call: please read
This is a customer support role, and the hours can be unconventional. Customers operate primarily in US time zones, so coverage is anchored to US business hours (roughly ET–PT). If you're based outside the US, expect your working day to shift accordingly.
Incidents don't keep office hours. Expect a rotating on-call schedule and occasional evening, early-morning, or weekend escalations outside a standard 9–5. We structure for it: rotations are shared fairly, on-call is compensated/time-off-in-lieu per policy, and we protect recovery time after heavy incidents.
If you're not comfortable with US-aligned hours and periodic off-hours on-call, this likely isn't the right role, and that's completely fine.

THE ROLE
We are hiring a Principal Engineer to take full, hands-on ownership of Blitzy's most critical production-grade systems and to deliver high-leverage features that materially improve customer outcomes and engineering velocity.
This is the most senior individual contributor role at the company today.

- Track record of being a self-learner who requires minimal supervision and gets things done without compromising on quality
COMPENSATION
Total compensation: $300,000 - $500,000
This includes a mix of competitive base salary and equity, tailored to demonstrated Principal-level experience, scope of ownership, and production impact.
YOU'LL GET…
