About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
As a software engineer on the AI Soltuions team, you will co-lead customer engagements with an AI Solutions Strategist. The Strategist owns business discovery, ROI narrative, stakeholder alignment, and rollout planning. The engineer owns technical discovery, solution design, prototyping, implementation, and production readiness.
This is a deeply client-facing role. You will spend significant time with customers and end users, moving projects from bootcamp and workflow discovery through implementation, launch, and steady production usage.
What You’ll Do
Translate customer goals into clear system requirements and non-functional requirements covering security, privacy, reliability, performance, scalability, and cost.
Partner directly with customers to understand current workflows, constraints, systems, data quality, and adoption blockers.
Create and maintain solution architecture artifacts:
System context and data flow diagrams
Integration plan across Ramp and customer systems
Security model covering permissions, access patterns, and auditability
Evaluation plan covering quality metrics, acceptance tests, and red-teaming
Operational plan covering monitoring, alerting, incident response, and runbooks
Leverage core Ramp primitives to build efficiently, reusing existing product capabilities wherever possible.
Prototype and validate workflows with end users to de-risk the approach and prove product-market fit.
Drive projects from bootcamp and technical discovery through implementation, production launch, and operational handoff.
Ensure deployed workflows are reliable, supportable, measurable, and adopted by customer teams.
Convert deployments into reusable patterns, components, and playbooks for future AI Solutions projects.
What You Need
Experience shipping production software in high-ownership environments.
Ability to work directly with enterprise customers from discovery through production implementation.
Experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, forward deployed engineering, or pre-sales engineering.
Strong fundamentals in ML/GenAI, including problem decomposition, evaluation, and deployment trade-offs.
Strong coding ability in at least one of: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go, or similar.
Ability to design secure, scalable systems and produce clear technical documentation.
Comfort working across APIs, integrations, data pipelines, customer systems, and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with cloud architecture on AWS, GCP, or Azure, and distributed systems patterns.
Experience building LLM systems, including RAG, agents, monitoring, and evals.
Willingness to travel up to ~75% as needed, flexible based on project needs and client needs
Nice to have: Familiarity with finance operations workflows such as AP, procurement, expenses, close, reconciliation, and reporting.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
You'll be the architect of our endpoint security posture across the full fleet — macOS, Windows, and BYOD mobile devices. You'll build secure-by-default controls with Terraform and GitOps, harden endpoints at scale, and automate the full device lifecycle so nothing depends on a human remembering to click the right button. You'll partner with IT, SecOps, and engineering teams to sharpen our telemetry and detections, mentor other engineers, and raise the bar on what "low-friction security" actually means. Everything you ship will be auditable, measurable, and built for the long run.
We're also thinking seriously about how corporate security evolves in an agentic world — where AI agents act on behalf of employees and traditional identity and endpoint assumptions break down. You'll help us shape that answer.
What You’ll Do
Write and ship MDM policy as code — configuration profiles, remediation scripts, and enforcement rules across macOS, Windows, and mobile — with staged rollouts and rollback from day one
Build patch automation that closes exposure windows fast without making employees' lives worse
Manage software distribution across the fleet
Mine fleet telemetry for signal — build dashboards, drift alerts, and AI-assisted automation that cuts toil before it compounds
Own managed browser and extension policy: enforce what's allowed, block what isn't, and keep the control plane auditable as the surface grows
Be the last line of defense on endpoint escalations that IT Operations can't crack
What You Need
Deep macOS security experience — Jamf Pro, FleetDM, or equivalent MDM at scale
Strong IaC fundamentals and a GitOps delivery model — Terraform modules, remote state, and CI pipelines shipped through MRs and code review, not tickets and manual steps
Solid working knowledge of Google Workspace in a managed enterprise environment, including Chrome Browser Cloud Management and extension policy enforcement
A point of view on how agentic AI changes the corporate security surface
Nice-to-Haves
Have shipped real work with open source endpoint and device management tooling
Have built automated, progressive rollout systems based on fleet telemetry.
Have managed a mixed fleet — macOS, Windows, and mobile — with real depth on at least one platform
Have put AI to work on real operational problems, not just prototyped

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
As a Design Engineer at Ramp, you sit at the intersection of design and front-end engineering. You bring ambitious ideas to life in real interfaces, prototype directly in code, validate with customers, and ship production experiences with a high bar for craft, performance, and reliability.
Design at Ramp is AI first and builder led. Work starts in an LLM to clarify intent and constraints, moves into tools like Claude and Cursor to explore and build, is tested with real customers, and then comes into Figma for systems and polish. AI and self-serve research are default parts of the workflow, not side experiments.
We are looking for multiple design engineers who think like a designer, code like a front-end engineer, and treat AI as a real collaborator.
What You’ll Do
Design and build high-craft product experiences: Own key surfaces end to end, from concept through production. Use layout, interaction, and motion to make complex behavior feel simple and safe.
Work AI first with Cursor and Claude Code: Use LLMs, Cursor, and Claude Code as your starting point. Draft intent, explore implementations, scaffold components, and refactor with AI in the loop. Apply your own judgment to refine quality.
Prototype in code and validate with customers: Build interactive prototypes in React and TypeScript and test them with real users using self-serve research tools. Use what you learn to refine flows before full systemization.
Bridge design systems, product, and brand: Translate Ramp’s design principles into reusable components and patterns. Extend the design system so expressive, brand-aligned moments are easy to build and scale.
Reveal what our agents are doing without noise: Design patterns that show what AI and automation are doing on behalf of customers. Use hierarchy, copy, and motion to earn trust while keeping the default experience simple.
Champion performance and accessibility: Ship work that is fast, accessible, and robust. Pay attention to semantics, focus states, reduced motion, and Core Web Vitals. Partner with engineers to debug and optimize over time.
Share AI-native workflows: Document prompts, patterns, and workflows you use in Cursor and Claude Code. Share them with designers and engineers to raise the bar across the team.
What You Need
Strong experience across both design and front-end engineering, with ownership from idea to shipped interface
Fluency in React, TypeScript or JavaScript, semantic HTML, and modern CSS
Active use of tools like Cursor and Claude Code, with clear opinions on how to get high-quality output
A portfolio that shows high visual and interaction craft in live experiences or working prototypes
A systems mindset and interest in building reusable components and patterns
Care for performance, accessibility, and reliability as part of craft
Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort pairing with designers, engineers, and marketers
Based in or open to relocate to NYC
Nice to Haves
Experience contributing to a design system or front-end component library
Familiarity with experimentation or analytics tools
Experience with headless CMS, design tokens, or theming systems
Background in fintech, B2B SaaS, or other trust-heavy domains
Interest in mentoring others on AI-native workflows
