Senior / Staff Application Security Engineer
Lead Security Engineer
About Suno
We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfillment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.
Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.
Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, Quiet, Matrix Partners, Schroders Capital and, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).
About the Role
We’re looking for a Lead Security Engineer to help build the security foundation. This is a hands-on role: you’ll set technical direction for security across our product and infrastructure, go deep in the code and the cloud yourself, and help shape the team that grows around you.
What You’ll Do
Own security architecture and the roadmap across our product and cloud environments, threat-modeling to focus effort where it matters most.
Elevate our AppSec practice: secure the SDLC, establish code-review guardrails, manage dependencies and secrets, and implement pre-production security testing.
Drive cloud security: IAM and least-privilege, account structure, network boundaries, and data-access controls.
Lead incident response. This role requires participation in an on-call rotation and acting as the senior responder during incidents.
Mentor and shape the security team and its operational processes.
What You’ll Need
10+ years in security engineering, with deep expertise in at least two of AppSec, cloud/infrastructure security, and IR, and credibility in the third.
A builder: you’ve created security capabilities and set direction, not only operated established programs.
Strong cross-functional partnership skills — security should enable the business to build and operate safely.
Nice to have: Consumer product at scale, AI/ML abuse or model-security exposure, experience as an early or founding security hire.

About the Role
We’re looking for early members of our iOS team at the Senior and Staff levels. These aren’t maintenance roles — you’ll help define the architecture and experience of a product that’s genuinely changing how the world makes music.
You’ll work directly alongside the founding team, shaping technical and product decisions from the ground up. The Suno iOS app is far more than a music player: it’s a real-time AI creation studio, a social platform for sharing and discovering original music, and a showcase for some of the most advanced generative audio technology ever shipped to consumers.
At the Senior level, you’ll own major features end-to-end, drive engineering quality, and contribute to architectural decisions. At the Staff level, you’ll set the technical direction for the iOS platform, mentor the team, and define the foundations that scale us to 10x our current user base and beyond.
If you care deeply about performance, polish, and building things that feel magical to use — and you want to do that in one of the most dynamic problem spaces in tech — this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do
Design and build Suno’s iOS app across creation, discovery, playback, and social experiences
Create foundational abstractions and libraries for performant, highly interactive audio and animation
Collaborate closely with product and design to shape the feel, flow, and direction of the app
Optimize for performance, responsiveness, and delight — from frame rates to load times to micro-interactions
Instrument and monitor the app’s health, and iterate rapidly post-launch based on real user data
Set the technical direction for the iOS platform and define architectural patterns the team builds on
Mentor engineers and raise the bar for code quality, abstractions, and engineering culture
What You’ll Need
5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff) shipping production iOS apps
Advanced expertise in Swift — we use SwiftUI with UIKit where necessary
Deep experience building fluid, polished animations and translating design prototypes into robust, production-grade code
Strong sense for performance: you profile, benchmark, and fix, from UI thread contention to network efficiency
An obsession with great user experience — you care about the details that most engineers skip
Comfort with ambiguity: you can scope work, make tradeoffs, and ship without a fully-defined spec
A collaborative spirit and strong communication — you work fluidly with designers, PMs, and backend teams
Strong Plusses
Experience working with audio playback systems, streaming pipelines, or real-time audio
Experience with social product features: feeds, follow graphs, notifications, publishing flows
Background designing or consuming mobile-first APIs in close collaboration with backend engineers
Track record building 0→1 consumer products at a fast-moving startup
Technical leadership or mentorship experience (especially important for Staff candidates)
Additional Notes:
Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
This is a 5 day a week role in our LA, Venice Beach or Chelsea, NYC locations
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $200K – $300K + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401k)

About the Role
Build the systems that every Sunoer touches every day. As a Senior IT Engineer, you'll work with your teammates and the Senior Manager of IT to design and build our identity, endpoint, networking, and office IT systems in close partnership with Operations, People, Finance, and Engineering. Your focus will largely be on 0-to-1 work — you will build the capabilities that let Suno scale quickly and efficiently across our four US offices.
What You'll Do
Build identity and access management — configure single sign-on, automate joiner / mover / leaver workflows, run access reviews, and automate ad hoc access requests.
Manage our endpoint fleet — migrate and expand our MDM systems to simplify onboarding, off-boarding, vulnerability management, and compliance.
Administer the SaaS estate — configure, harden, and manage our Google Workspace, Slack, and portfolio of SaaS tools.
Keep our office tech stack solid — wired, wireless, and zero-trust VPN networks performant and secure; A/V and videoconferencing reliable across our four offices; outside experts engaged where it makes sense.
Scale IT support — write runbooks and knowledge articles that enable AI-powered self-service and delegate Tier 0 troubleshooting to office managers.
Wire automation and AI into how we work — combine deterministic automation and outcome-oriented agentic AI to remove toil, freeing the rest of Suno to focus on making creative fulfillment a daily reality for everyone.
What You'll Need
Must-Haves
7–9 years of progressive IT engineering experience, including time at a high-growth company.
Demonstrated breadth across the IT stack — identity, endpoint, SaaS administration, networking, and office IT — with the depth to operate independently and make sound architectural calls.
Ability to work independently and on a team — you can work independently or collaboratively to take problems from definition through delivery.
Strong written communication — you can translate complex technical concepts for a wide range of audiences — engineers, executives, business colleagues, and vendors.
Learning agility — you pick up new platforms and technologies quickly, you're comfortable being the first person at the company to figure something out, and you aren't afraid to ask for help.
Nice-to-Haves
Hands-on experience with a modern IdP (e.g., Okta, Google IAM, or equivalent) and SCIM-based provisioning.
Experience with IGA tooling (e.g., Lumos, SailPoint, Saviynt, or comparable) and joiner/mover/leaver automation.
Modern MDM experience (e.g., Iru, Jamf, Jumpcloud, Intune).
Networking and A/V engineering experience in a multi-office environment.
Experience partnering with EDR / MDR providers (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Expel, Arctic Wolf, or similar).
Experience as the first or early IT engineering hire at a growing company.
Comfort with at least one scripting language (Python, TypeScript, or Bash) and config-as-code approaches to managing infrastructure.
Work Location Policy
This role is expected to work from the designated Suno office 5 days a week, per Suno's company policy. Full-time employees will receive competitive equity packages, and comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered may vary depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
Additional Notes
Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
Willingness to travel (up to 15%) to collaborate with team members across Suno office locations.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $150K – $175K + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401k)
