On our team, you'll use creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and grit to simplify the complexity of payroll for thousands of employers of every size, across all industries. THE ROLE
Our Operations team is scaling fast to meet the growing needs of our partners and product. As a Service Delivery Specialist, you'll be essential to how we run at the problem, protect partner trust, and deliver exceptional service at scale.
You’ll work across Operations, Engineering, Product, and Support to stabilize high-impact workflows, resolve complex issues across payroll, tax, compliance, and money movement, and shape how we deliver service as we grow.
If you're energized by solving messy problems, thinking big while working small, and turning complexity into clarity, this is your role.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Jump in quickly to triage and resolve complex partner escalations across payroll, tax, compliance, and money movement, bringing clarity to ambiguity and acting as a trusted subject matter expert.
- Monitor partner Slack channels and respond with urgency, ownership, and a bias for clarity and resolution.
- Deliver high-touch service to a concentrated portfolio of Check's largest partners.
- Dig into trends across escalations to uncover root causes, connect the dots, and recommend high-leverage improvements across product, process, and service delivery.
- Drive visibility and accountability by surfacing key themes, metrics, and risks to leadership, turning signals from the field into actionable priorities that reduce partner friction and improve how we operate.
- Partner cross-functionally with Ops, Product, and Engineering to close loops on edge cases, streamline workflows, and simplify for scale.
- Take ownership of internal and partner-facing documentation, ensuring materials stay up to date, easy to follow, and aligned with evolving processes and regulations.
TOOLS FOR THE JOB
Many backgrounds could fit this role, but ideal candidates will have some or all of the following:
- 5+ years in operations, service delivery, support or closely related role, including direct experience with payroll and/or tax operations.
- Experience in a B2B SaaS or Fintech organization.
- Proven ability to operate with urgency and ownership in high-complexity, fast-moving environments.
- Strategic problem-solver who’s equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and stepping back to improve the system.
- Strong communicator across technical and non-technical audiences, especially in ambiguous or high-pressure moments.
- Passion for improving systems at the root and delivering high-quality, reliable service.
- Experience using structured data to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Familiarity with tools like Slack, Claude Cowork, Notion, and Zendesk.

About ngrok Inc.
ngrok is an all-in-one cloud networking platform that secures, transforms, and routes traffic to services running anywhere. Instead of cobbling together nginx, NLBs, VPNs, model routers, and oodles of other tools, developers solve every networking problem with one gateway. Doesn’t matter if they’re sharing localhost or running AI workloads in production.
We're trusted by more than 9 million developers at companies like GitHub, Okta, HashiCorp, and Twilio. What started as a way to put your local app on a public URL has grown into a universal gateway for API delivery, AI inference, device fleets, and site-to-site connectivity. It’s the same ngrok that millions of developers have loved and leaned on every day for years, now with the power to run production traffic at scale.
A few things you should know:
We are obsessed with our pets, Viper sunglasses and Bufo (yes, the toad)
We have a designated Chief Emoji Officer - they are vital to our success!
We like software that’s serious and culture that’s not
Still reading? Good. There's more below worth your time.
The Opportunity
ngrok is looking for an experienced Senior or Staff Product Designer to help shape the future of our products in an era where AI is changing how software gets built and shipped.
As a key member of the Product Development Team, you’ll work closely with Product and Engineering to shape and deliver high-quality product experiences. You’ll own meaningful areas of the product end-to-end—from early problem framing through to shipped features in users’ hands—moving fluidly between research, prototyping, and delivery as the work demands.
We solve complex networking problems for millions of developers. The design challenges reflect that: translating technical depth into approachable experiences, building for users who notice every detail, and finding clarity in areas without established playbooks.
This role is a good fit for someone who wants high ownership, moves quickly, and is comfortable working in a hands-on, evolving environment.
About the Design team
ngrok's Design team is small but mighty. We’re highly collaborative and work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership to craft excellent product and brand experiences, envision the future of where the company is headed, and ensure ngrok's brand and visual presentation remain as high quality as our product thinking.
What You'll Actually Do
Think like a builder. You’ll sketch, wireframe, and prototype quickly, get ideas in front of users early, and iterate toward real product outcomes.
Use AI as a creative partner. You’re already using AI tools to extend what you can build, prototype faster, synthesize research, or explore interaction patterns.
Get close to the problem. Learn how developers use ngrok, where they get stuck, and what “better” actually looks like for them.
Contribute to product direction. Work with Product and Engineering to clarify problems, explore solutions, and shape strong product experiences in your areas.
Maintain a high craft bar. Bring strong judgment to interaction design, visual design, copy, edge cases, and implementation details.
Lead projects when needed. Facilitate discussions, align stakeholders, run lightweight research, and help drive decisions forward.
Make your thinking legible. Share rationale, document key decisions, and help Product and Engineering understand the tradeoffs behind your work.
Contribute to the design team. Help strengthen our shared standards, critique culture, and ways of working as the team grows.
Skills
5+ years of product design experience at technology companies, with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, research, and end-to-end product thinking
End-to-end execution. You take work from early problem framing through to shipped and polished outcomes
AI-augmented workflow. You actively integrate AI into how you work, using it to generate concepts, build prototypes, and synthesize research — continually expanding what you can do
Builder mindset. You make ideas tangible quickly — through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes — to communicate, collaborate, test, and iterate
Strong communication. Able to influence without authority and clearly articulate tradeoffs
Sharp instincts for learning. You know how to get close to users and turn what you learn into a clear point of view
Bonus Points
Experience designing for developers
Familiarity with networking concepts
Basic front-end experience / familiarity (HTML/CSS/JS, etc.)
Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar frameworks
Location
This is a remote position for candidates outside of the Bay Area and a hybrid role for candidates within commuting distance to San Francisco. Our Bay Area employees commute to the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Sponsorship
All candidates must be US-based, and legally authorized to work in the United States.
At this time, ngrok is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent, ongoing basis without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

CONSEQUENTIAL WORK. DEDICATED PEOPLE.
ABOUT ONEBRIEF
Onebrief builds collaboration and AI-powered workflow software for military planning and operational coordination.
Military planning is complex by nature, requiring teams to coordinate information, people, and decisions across systems and locations. Onebrief brings planning, collaboration, simulation, and AI into one connected environment, helping teams test strategies, adapt to changing conditions, and make decisions with greater clarity when the stakes are real.
We are a distributed team of builders from military, operational, and technology backgrounds who care deeply about improving how important work gets done. Some team members work remotely, while others work directly alongside customers in operational environments around the world.
Founded in 2019, Onebrief is backed by leading investors including General Catalyst, Battery Ventures, Insight Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and Human Capital. Valued at more than $2 billion, we continue to invest in product innovation, AI capabilities, and team growth.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Onebrief is hiring a Principal Integration Manager to own the execution and growth of Onebrief’s work supporting the Next Generation Constructive (NGC) program. This role has end-to-end ownership of Onebrief's contributions to a multi-million dollar government program, ensuring successful delivery while positioning the initiative for continued year-over-year growth.
Reporting to the Head of Key Initiatives, you'll serve as the program lead across government stakeholders, internal teams, and industry partners, with direct visibility and escalation to Onebrief's executive team. You'll quarterback the program by aligning teams, managing risk, and ensuring customer commitments are delivered while balancing government expectations with contractual obligations.
This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for Onebrief's execution and performance within the NGC program rather than personnel management. Success requires someone who can operate effectively within both large government programs and a fast-paced startup environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Core responsibilities:
- Own outcomes for Onebrief's contributions to the NGC program, schedules, milestones, risks, deliverables, and customer commitments.
- Work alongside leaders in other departments to assemble a purpose-built, matrixed in, cross-functional team oriented exclusively on the success of the program.
- Quarterback the program by coordinating government stakeholders, internal teams, vendors, and industry partners to keep execution aligned and moving forward.
- Manage program scope by interpreting Statements of Work (SOWs), aligning customer requests with contractual obligations, and partnering with Legal on contract modifications when needed.
- Lead program planning, customer engagements, internal and external reviews.
- Oversee milestone execution, and risk management while providing internal cross functional guidance and oversight to technical leads.
- Identify opportunities to improve program execution, reduce costs, and support future program growth.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of operational planning, defense acquisition, or large headquarters environments.
- 10+ years of experience managing Government Programs of Record (PoRs) within the defense technology industry.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and communicate effectively across cross functional internal teams, customers, and external partners.
- Demonstrated experience owning large government programs, including schedules, contractual scope, stakeholder management, and risk management.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and influence government stakeholders while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Current Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including travel to locations such as Orlando, Florida, and Leavenworth, Kansas.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with defense software, SaaS, or systems integration programs.
- Experience supporting Army modernization or command and control programs.
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology company.
- Existing relationships within the DoD acquisition community.
- Experience managing multiple vendors as a prime contractor, Lead Systems Integrator (LSI), or equivalent program leadership role.
INDICATORS OF SUCCESS
This role will evolve as priorities change, but the outcomes below reflect what success typically looks like in the first six months.
A successful Principal Integration Manager will:
- Deliver customer milestones on time while keeping the NGC program on schedule.
- Align customer expectations with contractual obligations and proactively resolve scope and execution risks.
- Work with inter-departmental leads to assemble purpose-built teams oriented on program success; coordinate with these leads to resolve resourcing issues, performance issues, or prioritization.
- Build trusted relationships across government stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.
- Improve program efficiency while protecting profitability and positioning the program for future growth.
- Provide clear direction and orchestrating cross-functional workflows to hit program milestones.
- Develop and implement internal program management practices that can be repeated and scaled across the company as Onebrief enters into more Program of Record contracts.
Notice to Third Party Recruitment Agencies
Please note that Onebrief does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies. In the absence of an executed Recruitment Services Agreement, there will be no obligation to any referral compensation or recruiter fee. In the event a recruiter or agency submits a resume or candidate without an agreement Onebrief explicitly reserves the right to pursue and hire those candidate(s) without any financial obligation to the recruiter or agency. Any unsolicited resumes, including those submitted to hiring managers, shall be deemed the property of Onebrief.
