We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions
About the role
We are looking for a Legal Operations Analyst to join our Legal team in Sunnyvale, California. Reporting to and partnering closely with the Chief Legal Officer, you will be the day-to-day point of contact for legal requests across the company — the person who keeps things moving, follows up relentlessly, and makes sure nothing slips. This role requires genuine range: you will move fluidly across intake triage, signature coordination, system administration, knowledge management, global entity maintenance, insurance support, and compliance support.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
Serve as the air traffic control hub for the Legal team — own the legal intake system, triage all incoming requests, route to the right owner, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Identify and pilot AI-native approaches to legal operations and bring the team along on adoption, using and building enterprise AI in day-to-day operations.
Own our CLM operations day-to-day: maintain and run automated workflows for NDAs, vendor agreements, and commercial contracts. Support attorneys and contract managers on process and system questions
Support in leveraging AI and MCP capabilities to enable self-service contract data queries and trend analysis
Own the Legal team’s repository. Build and maintain an organized, searchable document repository; document standard operating procedures and close gaps in existing coverage
Manage the Legal team’s new hire onboarding process and maintain key templates, playbooks, and training materials
Track and report on legal operations metrics including request volume, turnaround times, and outside counsel spend
Support entity management and corporate filings, coordinating with outside vendors and relevant counsel to keep corporate records current
Assist with ESG and regulatory compliance execution under attorney direction — data gathering, tracking, and reporting
Support outside counsel and vendor management, including tracking billing against budgets and assisting with performance reviews
Coordinate and chase signatures across the organization — track all documents pending execution, follow up proactively with signatories, and ensure agreements close on time
Manage the DocuSign environment, including envelope creation, template management, user permissions, and integrations with the broader legal tech stack
Arrange notarization of documents as needed, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external notary services
Evangelize legal processes to cross-functional partners — build self-service resources and show internal clients why following the process makes them faster, not slower
We’re looking for someone who has:
4–8 years of experience in legal operations, business operations, contracts management, or a similar operational role in a technology company or law firm
Hands-on system experience, ideally as a workflow designer or administrator; experience with DocuSign, Ironclad, Jira, and Google Suite strongly preferred
A genuinely generalist operational profile — you have owned a wide range of work across systems, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination without settling into a single specialty
Strong process-builder instincts: you create structure and documentation where none exists
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action — willingness to take on any task, big or small, to get the job done
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills with the ability to handle high volume and balance competing demands
Good judgment and a high level of professional integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Genuine curiosity about AI tools and a desire to find smarter, more scalable ways to work
Nice to have:
Prior experience in a high-growth technology company or autonomous systems / defense environment
Experience with entity management and corporate filings
Familiarity with e-billing platforms and outside counsel management
Experience sourcing and implementing legal technology solutions
Active California Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one
