Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong executive influence, and an unwavering commitment to delivering world-class experiences that drive measurable business impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own Gong's Third-Party Event Strategy
Develop and lead Gong's global third-party event strategy, including industry conferences, sponsorships, programs, and activations.
Evaluate opportunities through the lens of business impact, audience fit, pipeline generation, customer engagement, and brand value to determine where Gong should invest.
Build and manage the annual third-party events roadmap, ensuring alignment with company priorities, sales objectives, and regional GTM plans.
Continuously evaluate portfolio performance and identify opportunities to optimize, expand, or sunset programs based on business outcomes.
Lead End-to-End Program Execution
Own every aspect of event execution, including sponsorship negotiations, contract management, booth strategy and design, logistics, field enablement, executive preparation, content coordination, onsite management, and post-event follow-up.
Establish and maintain exceptionally high standards of operational excellence, ensuring every event reflects Gong's brand and delivers a seamless experience for customers, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Anticipate risks, proactively solve problems, and drive projects forward with minimal oversight.
Influence Cross-Functional Teams
Serve as a trusted strategic partner to Sales, Field Marketing, Demand Generation, Customer Success, Partnerships, Brand, and Executive Leadership.
Align event investments with pipeline goals, account priorities, and business objectives while balancing stakeholder needs and budget considerations.
Build strong relationships internally and externally to maximize the impact of every program.
Measure & optimize:
Define success metrics for every event and evaluate performance across pipeline, revenue influence, customer engagement, executive meetings, and brand impact.
Present recommendations, insights, and portfolio performance to senior leadership, using data to inform future investment decisions.
Continuously improve processes, reporting, and operational efficiency to scale Gong's third-party event program.
Manage events & work streams across Strategic Events Portfolio:
Play a key role in planning and executing Gong’s annual flagship conference, Celebrate, owning critical workstreams such as: registration strategy, sponsor management, ancillary programs, logistics, and more.
Support and own proprietary event programs (roadshows, dinners, etc). Everyone on the events team owns & operates programs across the portfolio.
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience leading B2B event marketing or field marketing programs, preferably within high-growth SaaS organizations.
Demonstrated success owning and evolving a strategic event portfolio with measurable impact on pipeline, revenue, and customer engagement.
Proven ability to think strategically while executing with precision and consistently delivering exceptional experiences.
Strong executive presence with experience influencing senior leaders and building alignment across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Executive stakeholders.
Outstanding project management and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
Strong commercial acumen with experience evaluating investment decisions, managing significant event budgets, negotiating sponsorships, and measuring ROI.
Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
