About the Role
The Materials Associate is responsible for accurately processing all incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining organized and clean work areas, verifying product quality, and ensuring proper documentation for every order. This role requires attention to detail, safe material handling, and active communication with the production team to meet customer expectations and production schedules.
What You’ll Do
Shipping:
Securely package and wrap all products to prevent damage during transit.
Verify paperwork accuracy using ERP to ensure the correct quantity and parts are shipped.
Generate accurate bills of lading and maintain organized shipping documentation.
Monitor conveyor lines, remove finished units, and load products into trailers or storage areas.
Inspect products for quality and packaging compliance before shipment.
Stretch wrap and prepare pallets for delivery.
Track critical daily shipping items and update the production team on status.
Forklift and pallet jack operation: safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move materials and equipment within the warehouse.
Recycling: manage the recycling of materials as needed, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining a clean workspace.
Receiving:
Process all inbound shipments, verifying counts and quality against paperwork.
Deliver in-process materials or parts to production areas as needed.
Perform visual inspections of received items for accuracy and quality.
Record and maintain accurate inventory data.
Material Handling and Inventory:
Perform inventory stock spot checks as directed.
Participate in end-of-month inventory.
Load and unload trailers, including sweeping and cleaning to maintain product integrity.
Assist in assembly or production processes when needed (training provided).
Perform local deliveries and pickups using company vehicles (Ford Transit Van or 16’ Box Truck).
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and aisles.
Participate in daily production meetings to share shipping/receiving updates.
What You’ll Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
2+ years of shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or logistics preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs.
Ability to operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Must be comfortable with manual labor and working in a physically demanding environment.
Perform demanding physical tasks for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, and twist for prolonged periods, up to 12 hours.

About the Role
The last mile delivery driver handles the final leg of delivery and installation getting Base Power battery systems to members' homes on time and setting them up right. Day-to-day work includes operating a 26ft box truck with a passenger team member, loading products, driving a route, installing ground-mounted batteries systems, and keeping accurate delivery records in our in-house app.
What You'll Do
Deliveries: Transport and hand off products to residential and business addresses safely and on time
Equipment operation: Use electric pallet jacks and dollies to move pallets in and out of the truck
Battery installation: Stack batteries, complete light assembly, and commission the app-based system at each site
Member interaction: Answer or direct questions and address concerns on-site with clear, professional communication
Site cleanup: Remove all packaging and debris from the member's property before leaving
Route management: Follow efficient routes to hit delivery windows consistently
Vehicle upkeep: Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized. Run basic maintenance checks before each shift
Delivery logging: Record delivery times, addresses, product, and notes accurately in the delivery app
Inventory: Assist with loading and unloading. Run truck cycle counts when requested
Safety: Follow all driving and product-handling safety protocols
Issue reporting: Flag delays, damages, missing items, or road issues to dispatch or a supervisor promptly

This is a pioneering position in Base Power’s expansion beyond Texas, marking our first entry into Illinois. What You’ll Do
Managing the installation of home backup batteries
Troubleshooting and diagnosing field failures
Inspection failure repairs
Onboarding and facilitating training of new installer crews and/or subcontractors
Meeting with inspectors and AHJs (Authority Having Jurisdictions) for inspections and other initiatives
Become a subject matter expert in Base hardware, general electrical principles, and applicable NEC Codes
Respond to on-call duties for emergent electrical issues during nights and weekends on a scheduled, rotational basis
What You'll Bring
Active Electrician license via a written examination in Northern Illinois
Experience with installation or maintenance battery back up systems, EV chargers, PV systems, or whole home generators preferred
Availability to onboard, train, and observe battery system installation near Base’s manufacturing & operations HQ in Austin, Texas. We anticipate this in person onboarding to take around 30 days
