Why Blee:
Blee is an AI-first marketing content compliance platform. PayPal, NerdWallet, and Brex already trust us. We're YC-backed, founded by an ex-Adobe marketing ops leader and former lawyer, and we're defining a category that didn't exist two years ago—across Fintech, Financial Services, CPG, Travel, and Life Sciences..
With offices in San Francisco and New York, we value in-person work but offer remote-opportunities for the right people. No matter where you join us, you can expect quarterly off-sites and opportunities to join other offices when you feel it’s important. You’ll be joining a team that values clarity, ownership, and shared responsibility—and is focused on building something that genuinely improves how teams work.
The Role
This is an Applied Scientist role specializing in agent system design for someone who wants to architect and implement the next generation of intelligent compliance systems. You will design frameworks where multiple agents—powered by custom and foundational models—work together to surface, track, and explain compliance flags. You will also build and optimize applied AI/ML pipelines, work across model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and customer-specific AI configurations, and train models based on user feedback to provide more targeted compliance recommendations.
What You'll Do
- Architect multi-agent systems – Design and implement frameworks that integrate foundational LLMs and custom-trained models to power intelligent compliance workflows
- Build and optimize AI/ML pipelines – Model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
- Ensure explainability and traceability – Build mechanisms for transparent flagging, ensuring every compliance flag is traceable to prior rules, examples, or data assets
- Automate compliance rule translation – Build systems that transform compliance rules into agent-ready logic paths
- Design, train, and fine-tune models – Improve compliance accuracy and adaptability using user feedback and outcomes data to drive iterative training and personalization
- Design model evaluation and monitoring infrastructure – Ensure reliability and auditability across customer deployments
- Collaborate cross-functionally – Work with Product Engineers to integrate AI features via APIs, data pipelines, and frontend; partner with model training engineers to incorporate feedback loops into system design; collaborate with compliance users to translate complex rules into agent workflows
- Stay current on AI/ML advances – Prototype and apply new techniques to our platform
Who You Are
- Deeply technical and hands-on – you love building production ML systems, not just prototyping
- Customer-outcome oriented – you care about how your models perform in the real world, not just on benchmarks
- A fast learner who thrives at the intersection of AI and domain-specific problems, especially compliance and governance
- Strong collaborator who can work across engineering, product, compliance, and customer-facing teams
- Proactive and curious; you stay ahead of the rapidly evolving AI landscape
- Excited to work in a high-trust, high-autonomy environment where your work directly impacts customers
Who You'll Work With
You will work closely with Blee's AI and engineering leadership, collaborating daily with product engineers and implementation managers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applied ML/AI engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of agent-based architectures and orchestration frameworks
- Strong Python; proficiency with modern software engineering practices (APIs, microservices, distributed systems)

Head of Legal Engineering
Blee · United States
Pay
$200k–250k
Setting
Remote
The Role
This is the Head of Legal Engineering role for an attorney who wants to shape how legal judgment works inside an AI product. Legal Engineering sits at the center of Blee's platform: it decides how legal requirements and customer guidance become rules our AI can apply reliably, and it judges whether those rules perform well in practice. You will own this function and take it to the next level. That means making our methods sharper, our quality loop more rigorous, and our legal frameworks able to scale across a fast-growing base of enterprise customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Legal Engineering. Set the function's direction, priorities, and standards, and grow the team as Blee scales.
- Own Blee's legal logic. Shape how legal and regulatory requirements become reliable, scalable AI review across our customer base.
- Build Blee's voice in the market. Represent Blee externally through speaking, writing, events, and other thought leadership on AI, legal, and compliance.
- Work directly with customers’ legal and compliance teams. Join customer calls to understand their specific content analysis requirements and translate them into how Blee’s AI evaluates content.
- Enable Implementation and Customer Success. Give our customer-facing teams the legal and compliance context they need to implement Blee effectively, support customers, and know when to escalate questions.
- Drive AI quality. Measure and continuously improve the accuracy and reliability of Blee's AI review.
- Keep our legal logic current. Make sure Blee keeps pace with changing regulations, customer guidance, and best practices.
- Represent legal and compliance in product development. Partner with Product to make sure Blee reflects how legal and compliance teams actually work.
- Raise the bar. Set the standards and best practices that keep Blee's legal work consistent, high quality, and scalable.
- Support Blee's legal function. Work alongside Blee's in-house legal team on company legal matters, including reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
Who You Are
- A lawyer with sharp judgment. You can read unclear guidance, see where it conflicts, and decide how it should apply.
- Fluent in AI. You use AI tools every day, understand what they can and can't do, and get excited about making them work better rather than being skeptical of them.
- Clear and credible with legal and compliance leaders. You're comfortable presenting to GCs, CCOs, and senior marketing stakeholders.
- A systems thinker. You look past the individual question to the framework behind it, and you design approaches that hold up across many customers, regulations, and use cases.
- Data-driven about quality. You look for patterns instead of chasing individual flags, and you measure whether your changes actually helped.
- A leader who raises the standard. You're excited to take a high-impact function and make it stronger as Blee grows.
Who You'll Work With
You will work closely with Blee's product, implementation, customer success, AI engineering, and legal teams. You'll also work regularly with the legal, compliance, and marketing teams at some of the world's largest organizations.
Requirements
- JD and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of legal experience, including significant work in advertising and marketing law, consumer protection, or regulatory compliance, at a law firm, in-house, or at a regulator
- Hands-on experience reviewing marketing and advertising materials for claims, disclosures, and substantiation
- Working knowledge of relevant frameworks, such as FTC advertising and endorsement guidance, UDAP/UDAAP, and financial-services marketing rules (e.g., FINRA 2210, the SEC Marketing Rule, Reg Z/DD)
- Real experience using AI in your legal work, and readiness to walk through specific tools, workflows, and results during interviews
- A strong analytical and writing record: you can explain complex legal reasoning in structured, plain language
- Experience leading people or cross-functional initiatives
Nice to have:
- Experience in legal technology, legal operations, or at a venture-backed company
- Experience writing product requirements, designing test cases, or evaluating AI or model output
- Familiarity with regulated industries such as financial services, fintech, insurance, or healthcare

Senior Product Manager, Growth
Blee · New York City, New York, United States

Hybrid

You’ll be joining a team that values clarity, ownership, and shared responsibility—and is focused on building something that genuinely improves how teams work.
The Opportunity
Blee serves the whole enterprise, not one team or workflow. Legal and compliance need rigor and control. Marketing needs speed and creative freedom. Operations need things to keep moving. The product has to work across industries, formats, channels, and risk appetites.
Every customer's AI is built and tuned on their own guidelines. As Blee grows, so does the opportunity to bring value to users and workflows the product doesn't fully serve today. Identifying new or underserved user groups, understanding what would make Blee valuable in their day-to-day work, and turning those insights into products and features that launch well and drive sustained usage is the most interesting problem in this role.
The Role
As Blee's first dedicated Product Manager, you'll own that problem end to end: discovery, spec, delivery, launch, adoption, iteration. You'll focus on identifying new or underserved user groups, increasing their usage, and launching features that make Blee more valuable to them. You'll work daily with engineering, talk to customers every week, and partner closely with our leadership team on what we build next.
This is a hands on role. You'll manage the backlog, reproduce bugs, make scope calls, and give engineering the context it needs to keep moving. You'll also help shape how the product function works as we scale.
Product development at Blee is a partnership. Strategy, customer insight, technical judgment, and execution all inform what we build.
You'll have ownership over day-to-day product decisions and execution while working closely with the product, engineering, and customer-facing teams on priorities and product direction. We expect you to bring ideas, challenge assumptions, and help the team reach better decisions—not simply administer a roadmap.
What You'll Do
- Expand Blee to new user groups - Identify users and workflows that Blee doesn’t fully serve today. Validate their needs, translate common problems into reusable capabilities, and ensure new products and features fit coherently into the broader platform.
- Turn ambiguity into clarity – Write requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and edge cases that give engineers the context they need to build effectively.
- Run customer discovery – Speak with stakeholders every week. Combine those conversations with product usage and feedback from Sales and Customer Success to identify new or underserved user groups, understand the barriers to their adoption and repeat usage, and identify the underlying problems worth solving..
- Prioritize new opportunities – Own the request queue across customers and internal teams. Develop a repeatable approach for distinguishing opportunities that can unlock meaningful usage across a user group from account-specific needs.
- Drive features through launch – Coordinate releases from development through launch, including documentation, internal enablement, customer communication, adoption tracking, and iteration. Define adoption goals and use activation, repeat usage, and qualitative feedback to determine what to improve next.
- Shape what we build next – Bring customer insights, usage signals, engineering context, and well-reasoned recommendations into roadmap and prioritization discussions.
Who You Are
- A strong writer who can turn complicated or ambiguous problems into clear, actionable product requirements
- Comfortable in the details; you'll reproduce the bug, examine the workflow, clarify the expected behavior, and write the test case yourself
- Technically fluent enough to earn the trust of engineers and participate meaningfully in architecture and implementation discussions
- Credible with both technical teams and senior legal, compliance, and marketing stakeholders
- Able to recognize when an unmet user need represents a meaningful expansion opportunity, when a capability can drive broader adoption, and when an opportunity should not be pursued.
- Always looking for ways to make yourself and your processes more efficient and streamlined by using AI or other tools
Who You'll Work With
You'll partner closely with Blee's leadership and work daily with our engineering team. You'll also work with Customer Success, Sales, and our Legal Engineering team, and build direct relationships with legal, compliance, marketing, and operations stakeholders inside our enterprise customers.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience as a Product Manager with direct ownership of shipping software
- Experience managing an engineering backlog and taking features from discovery through launch
- A track record of shipping B2B software for enterprise customers and expanding its usage across teams or user groups.
- Strong customer-discovery and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience in an early-stage or fast-growing environment where product processes had to be created or improved
- You use AI daily in your own work—drafting and pressure-testing specs, synthesizing customer conversations, querying product data, prototyping—and can point to specific things you no longer do by hand
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, and willing to work from the office two to three days per week
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% to meet customers in person
Bonus if you previously worked as a lawyer, marketer, compliance professional, or other potential Blee user. Additional relevant experience includes building regulated workflows, serving multiple enterprise functions, or balancing strategic customer needs with the long-term integrity of a shared platform.
