Role

Blockit is seeking a Mid-Market Account Executive to join our growing team. We're looking for someone with 2+ years of sales experience at a software company, ideally within the horizontal productivity tools space.

You should be hungry, organized and charismatic, and have a track record of high achievement, consistently hitting or exceeding quotas. You are comfortable and excited by the speed of zero-to-one building in a startup environment and bonus points if you have a passion for productivity tools.

Our agent spreads virally which means there is a significant qualified inbound pipeline to farm - we need you to close it.

What you'll do:

• Reach out to existing inbound users and convert them into customers.

• Run product demos of our agent, showcasing its capabilities.

• Delineate between buyer, end-user, and decision-maker in the sales process to effectively navigate deals.

• Onboard new customers and provide initial support by answering basic FAQs.

• Share product feedback back with the team to help shape our roadmap.

• Negotiate and close larger contracts with ACVs ranging from ~$5k - $100k, quarterbacking the entire deal process.

Role

We're looking for an Engineering Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for technical roles. You'll partner with engineering leadership to shape roles, source candidates directly, and manage agency relationships. Your job is to make sure we hire exceptional engineers — quickly, and with a great candidate experience.

Day-to-Day

• Partner with engineering leads to define roles and nail down what great looks like for each hire

• Source candidates directly — deploying creative strategies to find technical talent that's hard to reach

• Run a rigorous interview process that sharply assesses skill, drive, and fit

• Own the candidate lifecycle from first screen to signed offer — including complex negotiations

• Manage external recruiting partners and hold them to our standards

• Use data to find bottlenecks and continuously improve our hiring funnel

• Ensure every candidate — hired or not — walks away with a great impression of Blockit

Profile

• 3+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally at fast-growing tech companies

• Track record of sourcing and closing engineering hires

• Strong grasp of technical skill sets and how engineering orgs work

• Comfortable managing multiple searches across different disciplines

• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and modern sourcing tools

• Clear communicator who can manage stakeholders and keep things moving

The role

Think of this as a product engineer role — but the product is everything underneath. For a stateful, multiplayer AI agent that takes real actions in the world, infrastructure is the user experience. When a meeting gets scheduled in 800ms instead of 4 seconds, when an email never gets dropped, when our agent recovers gracefully from a flaky third-party API — that's a feature users feel. You'll ship those features.

This role spans three connected areas:

• Infra that users feel — own our core systems (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, async job processing, LLM gateway, email infra) with the same product instincts an engineer would bring to a customer-facing feature. Latency, reliability, and recovery are user-facing metrics, and you'll move them. We've outgrown some of our early choices and will outgrow more, so you'll also lead the build-vs-buy and migration calls: is pg-boss still the right queue or do we need a managed system? Should we move off Postmark? When do we add Redis, Kafka, a managed vector store? You make the call, ship the migration, and bring the team along.

• Observability — own how we see our system. Metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and the on-call / pager rotation — including what we alert on and what we don't. The goal is that we catch problems before customers do, and that when something does break, the engineer paged knows exactly where to look.

• Developer experience & DevOps — own how Blockit engineers work day-to-day. That includes capacity planning and deploys, but also our AI-augmented dev environment: Claude Code setup, agent tooling, sandboxes, evals, the works. We want this team to be the most AI-native engineering org in the Valley and we need someone who treats that as a first-class problem.

This role is ideal if you care deeply about how things actually run in production and want to build the foundation for a platform that coordinates millions of calendars.

What you'll do

• Own, operate, and evolve our core data infrastructure: PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and async processing pipelines — measuring success in user-facing terms (p95 scheduling latency, agent action success rate, message delivery reliability)

• Own observability end-to-end: metrics, logs, traces, alerting, dashboards, and the on-call / pager rotation — including what we alert on and what we don't

• Design, manage, and optimize our LLM infrastructure (gateway, evaluation pipelines, agent observability) for reliability, performance, and cost

• Lead infrastructure migration decisions and execute them: e.g. evaluating pg-boss vs. managed queue alternatives, weighing whether to move off Postmark, introducing Redis / Kafka / similar when the time is right

• Partner directly with product engineers to ship features — the line between "infra work" and "product work" should be invisible here

• Own DevX: shape how engineers leverage AI in their day-to-day workflow — local environments, Claude Code conventions, agent tooling, eval harnesses, anything that compounds team velocity

• Own DevOps: deploy pipelines, environment management, capacity planning, infra cost

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time on backend or infrastructure

• Product sensibility — you reach for user-facing metrics first, and you can tell the difference between an infra problem that matters and one that doesn't

• Deep with databases — you can read query plans, find the bottleneck, and know when to fix the query vs. fix the schema vs. fix the architecture

• Have run production services and owned the pager — comfortable in an incident, methodical in the postmortem

• Familiar with job queues, async processing, or event-driven systems, and have opinions on when each is the right tool

• Interest in developer tooling and how AI changes the way engineers should work

• Pragmatic about build vs. buy — you don't reinvent infrastructure for fun, and you don't outsource what should be core

The role

You’ll own the intelligence at the core of Blockit: our scheduling agents that autonomously coordinate meetings across people, time zones, and constraints.

This includes designing and iterating on agent architectures, writing and refining prompts, building evaluation frameworks, and shipping new capabilities as models improve. You’ll work across our orchestrator agents (which manage conversation flow) and specialized sub-agents, with the goal of making Blockit smarter, faster, and capable of handling increasingly complex coordination problems.

You’ll be architecting and building real-world AI agents used in production.

What you’ll do

• Write and refine prompts across our agent system—orchestrators, sub-agents, and tools

• Build and maintain evals to measure agent quality and catch regressions

• Debug agent failures: figure out why it misunderstood a request or made a bad call

• Implement new agent capabilities as user needs expand

• Experiment with new architectures and techniques as models improve

• Instrument and analyze agent behavior to find patterns and failure modes

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of experience shipping and owning production software

• Strong backend engineering skills, with the ability to work across the stack when needed

• Experience working with LLMs in production systems (or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly in this space)

• Deep curiosity about agent architectures and how the industry is evolving beyond simple prompt-based systems

• Clear, structured communicator who can explain what’s working, what isn’t, and why

The role

You'll expand what Blockit can do and where it shows up in people's lives.

This isn't traditional growth engineering, it's about building new agent capabilities, opening up new surfaces (Slack, mobile, desktop, etc.), and finding ways for Blockit to handle workflows we don't support yet. You'll ship features end-to-end: talking to users, prototyping, building, and measuring. The work spans frontend, backend, and agent engineering.

What you’ll do

• Build new features end-to-end: backend, frontend, and agent integrations

• Add new tools and capabilities to our agents to handle new workflows

• Build and improve integrations with external services (Slack, email, calendar providers)

• Collaborate with design and GTM to figure out what's missing and what's broken for our users

• Prototype quickly, ship, and iterate based on what you learn

• Work across the codebase—you'll touch a lot of different systems
