ABOUT BRANCH
Branch is on a mission to make insurance more accessible, so more people can be covered. We innovate using data, tech, and automation to simplify insurance from start to finish—we eliminated inaccurate quotes in favor of real prices, created a better way to bundle, and cut unnecessary costs in the traditional insurance process. Then we pass those savings along to our members. Basically, we’re doing insurance the way it was meant to be.
But we didn’t just create the insurance we’ve always wanted, we also created the company we’ve always wanted to work for. As we redefine insurance, we also want to redefine what it means to work in insurance. Find out for yourself.
Branch has a preference for candidates in Ohio, but is open to candidates located in AZ, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MD, MI, MO, NV, NC, OH, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, and WI. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Branch is remote first, with most Branchers choosing to work from home. Our headquarters are located in Columbus, Ohio, where we come together from time to time to build relationships and connect with each other in real life. We also have office space in Columbia and Concordia, Missouri as well as Forreston, Illinois. Once a year, the entire company gathers for “BranchFest”, a highlight of the year for many Branchers.
About the role
As a Technology Risk & AI Operations Intern, you will support Branch's third-party risk management and procurement program - the function responsible for making sure the vendors Branch works with handle our data securely and that purchasing runs through a clear, well-governed process.
This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in IT risk management, vendor security assessment, procurement operations, and using AI to supplement and enhance everyday work. Rather than observing from the sidelines, you will own day-to-day vendor risk work, communicate directly with vendors, and help rebuild Branch's procurement workflow during a system migration project. You will use AI tools as a core part of how the work gets done and help document and improve those AI-assisted processes along the way.
This is an ideal opportunity for a student with a business or technology background who is interested in both IT risk management and tech/AI enablement, and who wants practical experience that translates into GRC, security, operations, or technology roles.
The role is paid at $25/hour, with a flexible schedule of up to 29 hours/week through fall, and is open to part-time or full-time continuation in the winter for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Run day-to-day third-party risk reviews: collect and review vendor security documentation (SOC 2 reports, trust centers, security questionnaires) and draft assessment summaries for supervisor review
- Manage vendor follow-up communications and track open items through resolution
- Support new-vendor intake and procurement requests, including triage of the procurement queue
- Help migrate Branch's procurement workflow into a new system/procurement module, including documenting the new process
- Maintain TPRM trackers (review status, exceptions, renewals) and keep vendor records current
- Coordinate with Legal and Privacy on contracts and data processing agreements
- Use AI tools and automation as a core part of the workflow, and help document and improve AI-assisted processes
- Support tech/AI enablement projects across the security and compliance function as capacity allows
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, with a business, information systems, or technology background
- Interest in IT risk management, cybersecurity/compliance, and tech/AI enablement
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; comfortable managing repeatable tasks alongside longer-term projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - much of this role is vendor-facing
- Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Comfortable working in spreadsheets, documents, and technology platforms, with a willingness to learn new systems quickly
- Curiosity about AI tools and how to apply them to real work is a strong plus
- Previous exposure to GRC, audit, procurement, internships, or automation projects is a plus, but not required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance Analyst owns the recurring financial reporting for Branch's claims organization. This is the person who takes claims data from raw inputs all the way to a finished, accurate, on-time report, every month and every quarter, and then makes that reporting better over time.
You will own a monthly report and a larger quarterly report on claims performance: efficiency metrics, expense components, and the revenue streams tied to claims. You will work across the claims, accounting, actuarial, and data analytics teams to gather what you need, and you will be the person who can explain what the numbers say about how claims is running.
This is a build-and-own seat. In your first 90 days you will learn the metrics and the data. By 90 days you will run the recurring reporting process semi-independently, with your manager reviewing and guiding rather than driving. Past that, you will take on open-ended analytics and improve the reporting itself.
This is not a run-the-template role. It is for someone who wants to own a deliverable, get the details right, and keep improving it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting and Ownership
- Own monthly and quarterly reporting on claims performance, including efficiency metrics, expense components, and revenue streams such as TPA fees, recoveries, subrogation, and salvage.
- Take reporting from raw data to finished deliverable, on time, accurately, and with the right stakeholders pulled in when data is missing.
- Identify anomalies in the data and chase them down before they reach the report.
Analysis and Improvement
- Conduct detailed analysis of expense components and revenue-generating activities to support accurate, timely financial reporting.
- Identify trends and patterns in claims data to support decision-making and process improvement.
- Assist in developing financial models and tools that improve claims analysis and forecasting.
- Run continuous improvement on the recurring deliverables, including automating manual steps so errors do not recur.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the claims, accounting, actuarial, and data analytics teams to gather data on cycle time, processing efficiency, and other KPIs.
- Present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay informed on industry practices and regulatory changes that affect reporting.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2 to 4 years as a financial analyst, data analyst, or in a similar role. General analytical experience. Insurance experience is not required.
- A track record of owning a recurring reporting process end to end. You have taken a monthly or quarterly deliverable from raw data to finished report, met the deadlines, and managed expectations. You can walk through exactly what you built and what you owned.
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL. You can construct and manipulate tables, build a model, and navigate data without hand-holding. Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- A detail-oriented mindset. The reporting is large and easy to get wrong, and accuracy is the job.
- Ownership and initiative. You move work forward proactively and take responsibility for the quality of what you ship.
- Strong problem-solving. You can take an open-ended data or business question and reason through it, working independently and navigating ambiguity.
- Clear communication. You can present a finding in a few sentences a non-analyst will understand, and you work well across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field. An advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
- Insurance experience with a focus on claims finance is a plus. A strong analyst from banking, another financial institution, or a different industry is welcome if you bring curiosity and a willingness to learn the domain.

About the Senior Product Management Specialist role
We are looking for a senior product manager to own a core area of our software products, with an initial focus on integrations: the APIs and partner platforms (comparative raters and national agencies) that let outside agents pull accurate, timely Branch prices. You will run the change program for a dedicated engineering squad and turn business goals into the requirements that get us to the outcome.
You are technical enough to sit with engineers. You do not need to write code, but you understand what an API is, what it does, and what it enables, and you can hold a credible conversation about it. You are comfortable when priorities shift and direction is not fully spelled out, and you cut through to the real objective rather than waiting for it to be handed to you.
You have mastered the fundamentals of product management over the last few years and are ready for more complexity. You hunt for opportunities in the data instead of waiting for the business to surface them.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Execution
Take Ownership: Own the roadmap and lifecycle for your area, starting with integrations and the API partnerships that drive quoting reach.
Manage Complexity: Break down abstract business goals into actionable technical requirements, and operate with confidence when priorities shift and direction is ambiguous.
Data-Driven Decisions: Define success metrics (KPIs) for your products and use data to prioritize. Proactively find opportunities in the data and bring them forward, rather than waiting for the business to flag a problem. Run research as an ongoing practice, not a one-off.
Team Leadership & Delivery
Leadership: Act as the primary product lead for a development team and its stakeholders, with the credibility to direct the work and be taken seriously.
Agile Management: Manage backlogs, roadmaps, and planning, and ensure the team has a steady stream of "ready" work.
Quality Control: Ensure the output meets the quality standards expected by our users and stakeholders.
Process & Collaboration
Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in internal conversations on process improvement. We want you to help write the playbook, not just follow it.
Work Smart with AI: Use AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and reporting so more of your time goes to judgment and decisions.
Documentation: Contribute to internal documentation, creating clarity for stakeholders and future team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Marketing, Sales, and Service to make sure we are working on the right things at the right time.
Mentorship & Learning: Collaborate with leadership and peers, pass on what you know, and keep upskilling by soliciting feedback.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Technical Fluency: You understand what an API is, what it does, and what it enables. You can hold credible conversations with engineers and translate technical constraints to business stakeholders. You do not need to be a developer.
Experience: 3-5 years of direct experience managing digital products (Web, Mobile, or SaaS).
Data Literacy: Comfortable using data and research to identify and prioritize opportunities. This is not optional in this role.
Agile Experience: Proven track record of delivery in an agile environment (managing backlogs, sprints, and standups).
Self-Direction: A self-starter who identifies opportunities and drives them, rather than waiting for direction.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication; the presence to command a room and direct a team.
Nice to Have: Experience with integrations or API partnerships (comparative raters, national agency platforms), or experience in insurance or a regulated industry. A plus, not a requirement.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Branch is looking for an experienced B2B marketer to own strategy and execution for our independent-agency channel, the engine of how Branch sells home and auto insurance. This is a builder's seat. You will architect the programs, the tooling, and the content that turn independent agencies into consistent, engaged partners, and you will help rebuild trust in a channel we intend to win back.
The role is anchored in agency channel marketing for Branch. A smaller slice of your time keeps an earlier-stage effort moving. Ember, our servicing platform for small mutual carriers, runs a long-cycle B2B sales motion that needs a capable hand on its marketing infrastructure.
You will report to the Head of Marketing and help shape broader marketing strategy. The agency strategy is being written now, and you will help write it as you execute. This is a strong fit for someone who runs on outcomes, owns their tooling end to end, and is energized by shaping a channel function into the form it needs to take rather than inheriting a finished playbook.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Branch: Agency Channel Marketing
- Attract and activate agencies. Build and run campaigns that bring in new independent agencies and move real producer behavior: quote activity, platform usage, and consistent conversion.
- Build channel trust. Lead structured brand efforts to grow the agency community.
- Own events end to end. From goal-setting through post-event nurture, including in-market programs that bring our leadership into a region to meet agencies face to face, and the follow-up that turns those rooms into pipeline.
- Sharpen the story. Give agents a clear, one-sentence answer to "what is Branch," and build the content and sales tools that make it stick and help producers sell.
- Architect HubSpot. Own the data structure, segmentation, automation, and reporting. You run the tool, you do not just use it.
- Run loyalty and incentives. Manage and continuously improve agent loyalty and incentive programs.
- Read the market. Track brand health in the independent-agency market and turn what you learn into campaign strategy.
Ember: B2B Demand Generation
- Maintain the infrastructure. Keep the HubSpot instance supporting Ember's business development effort running and useful.
- Support the long cycle. Keep nurture and pipeline tracking functional while the BD lead drives the motion.
- Call it when it grows. Flag when Ember has outgrown a light touch and needs its own dedicated marketing support.
Across Both
- Set and report KPIs. Establish metrics and report on performance in language leadership can act on.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with sales, distribution, and BD leadership, and influence go-to-market decisions.
- Shape strategy. Contribute to broader marketing strategy alongside senior cross-functional leaders, and help grow the marketing capability behind the channel over time.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERTISE
- A modern B2B operator's instincts: analytical, curious, and creative. You reach for the current playbook and you know when to break it. This is the trait that matters most for this seat.
- 6+ years of B2B marketing experience, with strong candidates often closer to 10. We weight the depth of your toolkit over the exact number of years.
- HubSpot ownership at an architectural level: data modeling, segmentation logic, automation design, and reporting. You have built and owned the instance, not inherited a login.
- A track record of tying marketing to outcomes. Every program you run points to a metric and a business objective.
- Channel, partner, or field marketing experience: you have marketed to or through a partner network and moved its behavior.
- Excellent written communication. Clear writing is how this role thinks, aligns, and moves work forward.
- Insurance, insurtech, or financial services experience is a meaningful plus, not a requirement. Independent-agency experience is a strong plus.

We are looking for a copywriter who thinks like a systems builder. The center of this job is building and tuning the AI-powered systems that produce great copy at scale, so the team makes more, faster, without sacrificing quality. You will still write, and your taste and editorial judgment are essential, but the bigger part of the job is teaching the AI to write the way Branch writes.
Think of it as leading a team of writers you build yourself. You design the prompts, encode the brand voice, set the guardrails, and keep improving the system until the output is right.
This is production and systems work, not high-concept campaign creative. The day to day is member emails, product copy, social, B2B materials, and web, produced on brand and at volume. If your passion is chasing big-idea brand campaigns, this is not the seat. If you light up at building a clean, scalable content engine, it is.
This is not a role for someone who uses AI as a shortcut. It is a role for someone who understands that the quality of the output depends on the quality of the system behind it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
AI Systems & Prompt Engineering
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve AI-powered copy workflows that scale the team's output without sacrificing quality.
- Develop and refine prompt libraries, brand voice guidelines, and training inputs that teach AI tools to write the way Branch writes.
- Own the QA process for AI-generated copy: reviewing outputs, identifying gaps, and retraining systems when quality slips.
- Stay current on AI tooling and bring a point of view on what is worth adopting and what is not.
Writing & Content
- Write clear, on-brand copy across all formats: emails, direct mail, out-of-home advertising, B2B pitch materials, social posts, web pages, product tooltips, video scripts, long-form content, and more.
- Bring the brand voice to life consistently across every touchpoint and audience.
- Work within regulatory constraints without letting them get in the way of good writing.
Collaboration & Process
- Work closely with designers, content strategists, and marketers to deliver copy that is right for the format, the channel, and the audience.
- Contribute to building a scalable creative operation, one where AI handles volume and humans handle judgment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Demonstrated fluency building with AI writing tools, not just using them. You have built systems: prompt libraries, custom GPTs, brand-voice setups, or automated workflows. You can show or describe what you built and how you made it write the way you wanted. This is the core of the role.
- A point of view on AI tooling. You stay current and can say what is worth adopting and what is hype.
- Strong editorial instincts. You know what good copy looks like and can articulate why something is not working.
- 2 to 4 years of copywriting experience. A traditional portfolio is welcome, and so is a body of AI systems work: prompts, custom GPTs, and workflows count as much as published copy here.
- Comfort working across multiple brands, formats, and audiences simultaneously.
- Curiosity and a bias toward figuring things out. This role will require building things that do not exist yet.
- Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to adapt to feedback and edit copy to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with Figma is a plus, but not required.
- Experience in insurance, fintech, or a regulated industry is a plus but not required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Sales team fuels Branch’s growth by helping people confidently secure the right protection for their homes, cars, and families. - Guide members through coverage choices so they feel informed, protected, and confident.
- Identify bundling opportunities and promote Branch-first solutions when they best fit the member’s needs.
- Represent the Branch brand with professionalism, positivity, and a member-first mindset.

- 2–4 years of experience in multi-carrier home and auto insurance sales
- Strong understanding of underwriting, risk appetite, and coverage structures.
- Prior agency experience strongly preferred, especially with multi-carrier quoting.
- Tech-forward and adaptable, comfortable navigating multiple systems and digital workflows (rater/carrier platforms)
- Able to operate at high volume, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; clear, confident, and member-focused.
- Collaborative team player who is passionate about helping people and strengthening our community.
