Lead Analyst, Financial Crimes
About the role
Chime's Financial Crimes team protects millions of members from money laundering, fraud, and the organized networks that target consumer financial platforms. We work in a bank-partner model: we run detection and investigation, and we escalate unusual activity to our bank partners, who hold the filing obligation. That means our written work product is read by outside parties, and the quality bar is correspondingly high.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You will set the standard for how financial crime work is done here rather than working a queue — defining what good looks like, raising the ceiling for the analysts you lead, and owning the hardest problems on the team end to end.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $139,000.00 and up to $193,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Operate with minimal direction on problems that arrive ambiguous, and you define the approach rather than waiting for one.
- Set the quality standard others calibrate to with defensible judgement calls.
- Move work across team boundaries without formal authority, and you are trusted to represent Financial Crimes to partners outside the function.
- Raise the ceiling of the people around you — through calibration, coaching, documentation, and the examples you set in your own casework.
- Improve the system, not just the case. Every hard investigation should leave behind something reusable: a control, a procedure, a detection change, or a documented typology.
- What you will own:
- Vendor Management. You will lead, and support, a team of analysts.
- Vendor team quality. You sample operations work, run calibration with partners, keep apprised of quality assurance trends, and hold quality and productivity expectations where they belong.
- Risk trend analysis. You understand AML and Fraud risks well enough to follow the pattern of unusual activity across accounts, devices, funding sources, counterparties, and behavioral patterns, and you can show the shape of a network in a way a non-investigator understands.
- Typology development. You document new and evolving schemes, make them teachable to the wider team, identify if opportunities in coverage are needed, and own the creation of coverage with partners as appropriate.
- Operational rollout of new coverage. When a new typology or scenario goes live, you design how it will be worked — routing, procedure, evidence standard, and quality checks — before the first alert lands.
- Procedures and documentation. You own the SOPs for your area and keep them in a state where a third party could read them cold and understand what we do and why.
- Audit and exam readiness. You prepare the operational side for internal audit, independent testing, and bank partner reviews, and you own remediation of findings assigned to operations through to closure.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- 7+ years in financial crime, fraud, or risk investigations at a bank, fintech, payments company, or comparable regulated environment.
- Working command of BSA, the USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC requirements, and unusual/suspicious activity reporting standards — enough to explain not just the rule but why it exists.
- Deep experience across the transaction monitoring alert lifecycle at real volume, including the operational tradeoffs that come with it.
- Real typology depth across both money laundering and fraud — mule and money movement networks, first-party fraud, synthetic and stolen identity, scams and social engineering, elder financial exploitation, etc.
- Hands-on involvement in scenario tuning or threshold work alongside data or risk partners, with an understanding of what changing a threshold actually costs.
- Experience overseeing vendor or outsourced investigation teams.
- Judgment under volume. You can distinguish the case that deserves forty hours from the one that deserves forty minutes.
- Comfort with sustained ambiguity. You will spend real time on hypotheses that do not pan out, and you need the judgment to know when to stop.
- Advanced SQL, and fluency with graph or link analysis tooling for mapping relationships at scale.
- CAMS, CFE, or equivalent certification preferred.

Director of Growth and Acquisition Marketing
About the role
Chime is on a mission to help millions of everyday people achieve financial progress — and we've built one of the strongest digital acquisition organizations in the industry to get there.
The Director of Growth and Acquisition owns what comes next: leading the full digital acquisition portfolio — paid social, paid search, affiliate, YouTube, mobile and app networks, and emerging channels — while building the capabilities that define Chime's next chapter of growth.
This is a leadership role, not a channel-management role. The foundation — building great teams, running healthy channels, and consistently delivering results — doesn't change. What changes is the mandate: this leader is accountable for delivering today's business while identifying and building tomorrow's growth engine, staying close enough to the ecosystem of platforms, agencies, and technology partners to bring new capabilities into Chime before they become table stakes.
This role sits within Chime's newly evolved Media & Acquisition organization, alongside a Director of Media leading Offline, Media Planning, and MMM. Together, these two roles are being broadened in scope as Chime moves from a channel-by-channel model toward a more complete, portfolio-level view of how every marketing dollar creates value.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $196,000.00 and up to $270,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Own performance across Chime's full digital acquisition portfolio (paid social, paid search, affiliate, YouTube, mobile/app networks, and emerging channels), delivering ambitious growth, efficiency, and CAC targets.
- Make portfolio-level investment and prioritization calls across channels, talent, technology, and vendor partnerships, balancing near-term performance against long-term capability building.
- Lead and develop a team of experienced channel managers as a true player-coach — close enough to the work to challenge assumptions and unblock hard problems, but focused on multiplying impact through people and systems.
- Build new acquisition channels, partnerships, or technology-enabled growth motions — not just optimize the existing mix.
- Stay plugged into the external digital ecosystem — platforms, agencies, AI/martech vendors, startups — to identify opportunities before they're obvious and bring new capability into Chime early.
- Push the organization to rebuild how it works around AI: experimentation, creative production, media buying, and measurement — not just point-solution automation.
- Partner cross-functionally with Media Planning/MMM, Growth Product Marketing, Analytics, Risk, and Finance to align channel strategy to company-level growth and CAC goals.
- Represent Digital Acquisition in senior leadership forums, translating channel performance into business outcomes for Growth LT, EC, and Board-level audiences.
To thrive in this role, you have
- Experience leading a multi-channel digital acquisition or growth organization with meaningful business accountability — not only channel-level metrics.
- A demonstrated record of owning growth, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Experience managing a significant media portfolio and making prioritization tradeoffs across channels, technology, and vendors.
- A leadership style that blends strategic range with hands-on credibility — comfortable operating as both strategist and player-coach.
- Experience building or scaling teams and developing future leaders.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, cross-functional, senior-executive-visible environment.

Director of Messaging Operations
About the role
Chime is hiring a Director of Lifecycle Marketing Operations to build and run the operational engine behind everything we send to members: campaign execution, channel health and deliverability, the automation and platform layer, and the governance that keeps it all safe and high quality at scale. Most of that work is manual today. Your mandate is to make it faster, higher quality, and increasingly automated, with an agent-supported operation as the destination.
You'll lead a growing execution team through an execution lead and a set of channel and platform specialists, and partner closely with MarTech, Growth Engineering, and the lifecycle strategy leads to turn strategy into live, high-quality messaging. This is a leadership role with real technical depth: you set the operational strategy and prioritize the work, and you go deep into the detail when it counts.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $211,000 and up to $275,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Own the Messaging Operations engine and set its operational strategy across campaign execution, channel health, deliverability, automation, and the platform layer — and own the metrics that say whether it's working: throughput, quality, speed to launch, deliverability, and channel health.
- Own the operational process end to end, from intake to launch: build, QA, deployment, and the standards that keep quality and speed high as volume grows.
- Drive the automation and AI-agent roadmap, taking the team from manual execution to supervising and governing automated workflows, and fold what you learn from experimentation into the wider Lifecycle roadmap.
- Own governance for everything that ships: channel standards, deliverability and compliance, and the QA model for automated and agent-driven sending, in a regulated environment where safe sending is non-negotiable.
- Own channel excellence across email, push, in-app, and SMS — health, analytics, opt-in/opt-out, and deliverability. Set the benchmarks the operation runs on, connect them to the business metrics leaders care about, and scout and pilot new channels before we need them.
- Build and lead a growing, increasingly technical team through an execution lead plus channel and platform specialists: set the structure, proactively source talent for your team and across Chime, set clear expectations, and give the team the context and room to own outcomes.
- Act as Lifecycle's primary stakeholder to MarTech on how we use the platform and what gets built on top of it, partner with Growth Engineering on the build, and work with the lifecycle strategy leads to turn their plans into live messaging.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 8+ years in marketing or CRM operations, lifecycle execution, or martech, including 3+ years leading teams — with experience developing leads or managers, not only individual contributors.
- Deep expertise with engagement and CRM platforms (Braze or similar): campaign operations, journey architecture, automation, and the technical layer underneath.
- A strong track record in governance: setting and enforcing channel, deliverability, and compliance standards, and building the QA that keeps a high-volume operation safe.
- A real track record of building toward automation. You've scaled manual processes and have a clear point of view on where AI and agents fit in marketing operations.
- Deep channel health and deliverability expertise at scale: sender reputation, inbox placement, fatigue management, and opt-in/opt-out hygiene.
- Strong operational and analytical judgment. You run on metrics, can tell at a glance whether the engine is healthy, and balance speed against safe, compliant sending in a regulated environment.
- The influence to align peer Directors and VPs across Marketing, Engineering, and Product on shared standards, and the range to lead at altitude on strategy and transformation while translating the technical detail into a story each audience can act on.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience standing up or scaling an automation or agent layer in a marketing or CRM context.
- Fintech or regulated-industry experience and the compliance instincts that come with it.
- Experience in a business where owned-channel volume is measured in millions of sends per week.

Lifecycle Marketing Manager
About the role
We're hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our Product and Lifecycle Marketing team. In this role, you'll design and optimize lifecycle programs that engage, retain, and grow members across their entire journey with Chime—from top of funnel through long-term retention—with a clear focus on driving growth, revenue, and member lifetime value (LTV).
This is a role for a holistic, business-minded marketer rather than a single-channel specialist. You'll think in terms of segments, experiments, and outcomes: building targeted campaigns across the channels we own—push, in-app, and out-of-app (email, SMS)—while connecting those touchpoints with the broader, non-owned channels that shape the member experience. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams to turn data into segmentation, automation, and personalization strategies that move the business.
This is a role with department-level impact: you'll own diverse projects, exercise significant independent judgment, and influence how members experience Chime across the full lifecycle.
If you're creative, dedicated, and love working in a fast-paced environment alongside passionate colleagues, we want to meet you.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $139,000 and up to $181,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Own full-funnel lifecycle strategy—from top of funnel through activation and long-term retention—building targeted campaigns that drive growth, revenue, and member LTV.
- Define segments and translate them into targeted, personalized campaigns across owned channels (push, in-app, and out-of-app), connecting them with the broader non-owned channels that shape the end-to-end member experience.
- Generate data-driven hypotheses and run experiments to continuously optimize evergreen lifecycle campaigns and transactional communications, working with analytics to measure impact, socialize findings, and develop next steps toward bigger wins.
- Develop and steward channel guidelines and governance, preserving the quality and integrity of our communications ecosystem.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with partners across Product, Product Marketing, Engineering, Analytics, Design, User Research, CRM, and more to develop and deliver on shared strategies for large cross-functional initiatives.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 4–6+ years of experience in lifecycle, growth, or related marketing, developing end-to-end campaigns from conceptualization to measurement.
- A growth-oriented, business-first mindset—you think about revenue, LTV, and the full funnel, not just individual channels, and you can connect owned channels (push, in-app, out-of-app) with the broader member experience.
- A proven track record of building segments and managing successful campaigns across multiple channels (email, push, SMS, in-app messaging).
- Strong experimentation chops—comfortable with A/B testing and using results to inform what to scale next.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven marketing and performance analysis.
- The ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with various stakeholders, exercising significant independent judgment.
- Experience with key marketing platforms (Braze, Looker; AI tools a plus).
- A strong self-starter mindset—adaptable and able to think critically to develop creative solutions with limited resources.

We know that to achieve our mission, we must earn and keep people's trust—so we hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity in everything we do.
