We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a strong background in security to join our dynamic team. This role will be crucial in defining and executing the product strategy for our security offerings, ensuring our products are robust, reliable, and secure, and that they meet the evolving needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of database security, networking, and identity management, and will be adept at navigating the complexities of product development from conception to launch.
What you will do:
Define and evangelize the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for security-focused features and products.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality, secure products.
Translate complex security requirements into clear, concise product specifications and user stories.
Prioritize product backlog and manage trade-offs to optimize for business value and customer satisfaction.
Drive product launch activities, including go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, and user documentation.
Monitor product performance, gather insights, and iterate on product features based on data and user feedback.
Act as a subject matter expert for security within the organization, providing guidance and insights to various stakeholders.
About You:
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in product management in B2B SaaS, with a significant focus on security products or features.
Proven experience with database security principles and best practices.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and their implications for security.
In-depth knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) topics.
Certifications in security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
Demonstrated experience in quality assurance processes and methodologies.
Solid background in program management, including planning, execution, and risk management.
Prior experience in security engineering is required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience securing a data platform, database product, or real-time analytics service.
Familiarity with ClickHouse or other databases such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
Experience supporting BYOC or private deployment models.
Background working with open source software or developer-focused products.
The typical starting salary for this role in the US is
$160,000 - $215,000 USD
The typical starting salary for this role in US Premium Markets is
$180,000 - $240,000 USD
Compensation
For roles based in the United States, the typical starting salary range for this position is listed above. In certain locations, such as the San Francisco Bay Area and the New York City Metro Area, a premium market range may apply, as listed.
These salary ranges reflect what we reasonably and in good faith believe to be the minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may be higher or lower than the amounts listed, and the ranges may be subject to future adjustments.

NOTE: this position can be remote anywhere within the United States.
As the Principal Product Manager for ClickHouse Cloud, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the product working closely with engineering, customers, and stakeholders.
What you will do:
Define and drive the product roadmap for ClickHouse Cloud, with a focus on cloud-native database capabilities such as multi-region replication, distributed query execution, fault tolerance, storage tiering, and schema evolution.
Collaborate with engineering to prioritize and deliver improvements to the core database engine, storage layer, and query optimizer, ensuring the Cloud offering keeps pace with open-source and enterprise use cases.
Engage directly with customers, gathering insights through interactions, feedback, and market research to guide product decisions.
Work alongside design, marketing, operations, and sales teams to support feature launches, contribute to blog posts, and help shape product positioning and messaging.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related communications, effectively managing expectations and keeping stakeholders informed.
About You:
Minimum 8+ years of product management experience with a strong background in cloud-based SaaS products. Deep familiarity with database systems, distributed systems, or real-time analytics platforms is strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with SQL and strong understanding of query execution, indexing strategies, partitioning, and performance tuning.
Experience working with databases such as ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or other columnar databases.
Understanding of modern data infrastructure: data lakes, ETL pipelines, CDC and data orchestration frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to work with engineering on low-level technical topics, such as schema management, query planning, storage engines, schema design.
Experience designing and delivering features such as database replication, consistency models, and backup/restore workflows.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying deep technical topics for non-technical audiences.

$169,000 - $225,000 USD
