About ClickHouse
Recognized on the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 list, ClickHouse is one of the most innovative and fast-growing private cloud companies. With more than 4,000 customers and ARR that has grown over 250 percent year over year, ClickHouse leads the market in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads.
The company’s sustained, accelerating momentum was recently validated by a $400M Series D financing round. Over the past three months, customers including Capital One, Lovable, Decagon, Polymarket, and Airwallex have adopted the platform or expanded existing deployments. These customers join an established base of AI innovators and global brands such as Meta, Cursor, Sony, and Tesla.
We’re on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey!
About the team
Most providers make customers migrate their data to them. We're doing the opposite: bringing ClickHouse Cloud into the environments our customers already trust, so their data stays useful right where it lives.
Those environments come in a few shapes. Some are major cloud data platforms that run ClickHouse as a native service, so customers get it without leaving the tool they already use. Some are BI and visualization tools that need ClickHouse to show up as a fast, first-class data source behind their dashboards. And some are developer and data platforms we connect through marketplaces and identity federation with a couple of clicks to link an account. The goal is the same every time: ClickHouse should feel like a first-class citizen in every environment.
As the founding backend engineer, you'll set the technical defaults for this team. You'll have end-to-end ownership, but you'll also work inside the constraints of platforms you don't own: thin documentation, unfamiliar deployment topologies, and timelines governed by partner approval cycles. A lot of the challenge is engineering across trust boundaries you don't fully control. You won't be doing it alone. You'll work closely with the team's engineering manager and a small founding group that will grow around you, but you'll be the one setting the technical direction. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, let's talk.
What you'll do
You'll own an integration end to end: the design, the code, and the production system that keeps running after launch. You're setting the technical defaults a growing team will inherit, so the early decisions matter.
Day to day, that looks like:
Owning the architecture: auth and identity flows, multi-tenancy, how data moves and where it's allowed to live, performance, and what happens in production
Running what you build. You'll be on-call for your own work from early on, before there's a dedicated platform to lean on, which means owning the infrastructure, CI, deployment, and observability behind it
Working on top of external platforms you can't change, and being straight about which risks are yours to manage and which aren't
Partnering closely with the internal teams whose services you depend on: asking clearly, agreeing on interfaces, and finding ways to keep moving instead of waiting around to be unblocked
We'd also expect you to have opinions about where this should go, and to write them down. A lot of what shapes the team's direction starts as a doc.
About you
You don't need to have experience of every single point, but these are the attributes of someone who will perform well in this role:
5+ years building software, with a good chunk of it on data-heavy or integration-flavored systems
Solid backend and systems instincts. You can reason about deployment topology, multi-tenancy, and data movement, and you're comfortable owning architectural tradeoffs you'll have to live with later
You've worked with modern auth protocols, service principals, and identity federation, and you know how to get it right across a trust boundary
You've built on someone else's platform and know what that's actually like: incomplete docs, unintended breaking changes, etc.
You're comfortable in ambiguity. You can ship before the spec is finished, make sensible calls under uncertainty, and flag the decisions that'll be hard to undo instead of quietly baking them in.
You're good with other engineers. Much of the work runs through teams you don't own, and you earn their trust by how you think, not just what you commit.
You're mainly a backend engineer, but you're comfortable enough in JavaScript / TypeScript to jump in when it helps
You use AI tools well and honestly. Reach for Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or whatever helps, and be clear about where you did and didn't
You write well. Most of how we coordinate happens in design docs, PRs, and RFCs
Nice to have
None of these are required, but any of them would be a bonus:
Familiarity with a major cloud data or analytics platform ecosystem
Real depth in auth and identity federation, or experience shipping through a partner marketplace or certification process
Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms, or the isolation and deployment topology behind them
Working knowledge of ClickHouse, or another columnar / OLAP engine

$141,000 - $208,000 USD
The typical starting salary for this role in US Premium Markets is

Compensation
For roles based in the United States, the typical starting salary range for this position is listed above. In certain locations, such as the San Francisco Bay Area and the New York City Metro Area, a premium market range may apply, as listed.
These salary ranges reflect what we reasonably and in good faith believe to be the minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may be higher or lower than the amounts listed, and the ranges may be subject to future adjustments.

Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

We’re on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey!
We are looking for a Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations to lead the commercial function inside Revenue Operations. ClickHouse runs on a usage-based pricing model, which makes pricing strategy and commercial system design foundational: the pricing model, packaging, rules, guardrails, discount governance, approval workflows, and marketplace mechanics have to be designed early and built into the system, not retrofit later. The same discipline applies to new products: the commercial infrastructure that makes them sellable has to be built before they ship.
Reporting to the VP, Revenue Operations, you will own the commercial surface of the GTM system end-to-end: the pricing strategy, the packaging, and the rules, automation, and exception review that govern how deals get structured, approved, and closed, and the commercial readiness that makes a new product sellable on day one. The team spans pricing strategy, commercial governance, marketplace operations (CSP transactions, private offers, co-sell), new product commercialization, and commercial systems design. You will partner closely with Product, Finance, Legal, and the CRO on pricing, packaging, and deal strategy.
What You'll Be Doing
GTM owner for pricing strategy and packaging. Set the pricing model and packaging architecture in partnership with Product and Finance. Run pricing analysis, model the commercial impact of changes, and lead pricing reviews and pricing changes from analysis through rollout.
Own commercial architecture: pricing operationalization, discount governance, approval logic, and the rules and guardrails that govern how deals get structured and closed.
Design and operate the commercial review function: rules, approval logic, automated controls, and the exception review process for the deal flow that doesn't fit them. Partner with Sales and Finance on the non-standard cases that genuinely warrant human judgment.
Build out Q2C and CPQ automation. Drive the platform roadmap with Revenue Engineering.
Own marketplace operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure: CSP transactions, private offers, co-sell motions, and the operational mechanics behind partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue.
Own commercial readiness for new product introduction. Build the commercial infrastructure that makes a new product sellable before it ships: the pricing and packaging, the quoting logic, the discount and approval rules, and the controls that govern how the product gets sold. Program-manage the cross-functional path to launch across Product, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Engineering: define the commercial requirements, drive the build, test the end-to-end flow, and own the go-live readiness so the product is sellable on day one.
Hire and develop the Commercial Strategy & Operations team. Design the systems and review logic that let a small team govern an increasing volume of deal flow as the business scales.
Partner with Product and Finance on pricing and packaging changes: lead the analysis, design the operational rollout, instrument the rollout in the system, and measure the results
What You Bring Along
10+ years in pricing strategy, commercial operations, revenue strategy, or product-led growth strategy, with at least five years managing a team.
Direct experience setting and operationalizing pricing for a usage-based or consumption-based business. You have led at least one significant pricing or packaging change end-to-end: analysis, design, alignment, and rollout.
End-to-end Q2C experience. You have owned the quote-to-cash flow for a new product or major SKU from commercial requirements through testing and launch: requirements definition, quoting and approval design, UAT, and go-live. You can hold a cross-functional program to a launch date across Product, Finance, Legal, and Engineering, and you measure readiness by whether the flow works end-to-end, not by whether the pieces exist.
Owner-operator mindset. You treat commercial strategy and operations as a system you own end-to-end: you design it, you run it, you fix it when it breaks, and you measure it by what it produces, not by activity.
Product-owner instincts. You think about commercial work as infrastructure to design, not a queue to clear. You hire and build for leverage, not headcount.
Strong commercial analytics. Comfortable building pricing models, sensitivity analyses, and elasticity views from first principles. SQL fluency required.
Familiarity with the operational complexity of usage-based contracts: metering, commits, contract structure, overages, and the rev rec implications.
Marketplace fluency. Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure marketplace operations is strongly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce CPQ. Comfort designing rules, approval logic, and automated controls, not just configuring tools.
Ability to partner with Legal and Finance on contract structure and revenue recognition implications.
Excellent judgment on commercial tradeoffs. Comfortable saying no when the deal structure breaks the system, and comfortable advocating for the field when the case is sound.
Strong written and verbal communication. Comfortable presenting to executives and engaging with senior customer stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

We’re on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey!
We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to own new product introduction inside Revenue Operations and to build NPI into a discipline. As this is the first TPM on the team, and you will define the process from the ground up. NPI is how ClickHouse brings new products to market. A product is not sellable until the pricing, packaging, quoting logic, approval rules, and controls are built and tested end-to-end, and this role owns getting it there. The same path runs through acquired products, often harder. This is foundational work: it sits at the center of how we bring new offerings to market and how we build the commercial operations that run the business.
Reporting to the Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations, you will own the path to launch across Product, Finance, Legal, Operations, Engineering, and the field: the requirements, the design decisions, the build, the testing, and go-live readiness. Beyond any single launch, you will build the automation and tooling that make NPI and the broader commercial operation faster and more reliable. This is a senior individual contributor role that sits on the critical path for every product launch and every acquired-product integration.
What You'll Be Doing
Stand up NPI as a repeatable discipline. Build the launch process, the requirements framework, and the operating cadence from a near-blank slate, and set the standard the rest of the org runs against.
Own the launch program end-to-end. Hold the timeline, drive deliverables across Product, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Engineering, and synthesize the cross-functional work into a single readiness plan.
Own the commercial and operational design of a launch. Define the requirements and make the calls on pricing setup, quoting logic, discount and approval rules, and the controls that govern how the product gets sold, in partnership with the Commercial leader.
Own the integration path for acquired products. Bring an acquired offering onto the commercial system, reconcile its pricing and contract mechanics with how ClickHouse sells, and get it sellable through the same standard as an organic launch.
Test the end-to-end flow before launch. Run UAT on the quote-to-cash path, catch what breaks, and confirm the full flow works before go-live.
Own go-live readiness. Set the launch criteria, run the go/no-go, and make the call on whether the flow is ready. Coordinate field activation with Enablement so the product lands when it ships.
Build the automation and tooling that make the commercial system faster and more reliable. Find where NPI and commercial operations are manual, slow, or error-prone, and design and build the solutions that fix it.
Track launches after go-live. Surface what broke, feed it back into the process, and close the gaps before the next one.
What You Bring Along
8+ years in technical program management, revenue operations, product operations, or commercial systems, with a track record of owning launches end-to-end and building the systems behind them.
Owner-operator mindset. You own the outcome. You treat NPI as a system you own end-to-end: you build it, you run it, you fix it when it breaks, and you measure it by whether launches actually land. When a launch ships broken, that is yours to own and to fix.
A builder's bias. You are comfortable starting from a near-blank slate and defining the process where none exists. You see where NPI and commercial operations are manual, slow, or error-prone, and you design and build the automation and tooling that fixes it. The job is to launch products and to make launching them, and running the commercial operation behind them, faster and more reliable over time.
Able to own the design. You have the technical and commercial depth to shape how NPI and the commercial system work: you define requirements, facilitate the design calls on quoting, approval, and control logic, and build parts of the solution yourself.
Cross-functional program management at its core. You can hold a timeline, drive deliverables across teams, and synthesize across stakeholders. You measure readiness by whether the full flow works end-to-end.
Experience with usage-based or consumption-based business models, required. You understand how metering, commits, and overages create dependencies across billing, contracts, revenue recognition, and the commercial system, and that a launch has to get all of them right together.
M&A or technology integration experience is a strong plus. Bringing an acquired product onto the commercial system runs the same path as an organic launch, and this role owns that work.
Strong working knowledge of the systems a launch depends on: Salesforce and CPQ, financial and billing systems, product rating, and telemetry. Comfort designing quoting rules, approval logic, and automated controls across them.
Strong written and verbal communication. Comfortable driving a cross-functional forum and presenting readiness status to senior stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree, quantitative or technical field preferred.

The Connectors team is the bridge between ClickHouse and the broader ecosystem. We build and maintain the integrations that make ClickHouse accessible to millions of developers, data practitioners, and AI agents worldwide, from high-level data visualization plugins (Tableau, PowerBI, Superset, Metabase) to connectors for data frameworks (Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka Connect, Fivetran), orchestration platforms, and AI tooling.
Our work directly shapes how companies process massive datasets: real-time analytics platforms that ingest millions of events per second, observability systems that monitor global infrastructure, and, increasingly, AI-powered data applications that redefine how teams work with data. We collaborate closely with the open-source community, internal teams, and enterprise users to ensure ClickHouse integrations set the standard for performance, reliability, and developer experience.
About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in the AI & ML ecosystem, you'll be a core contributor owning and evolving critical parts of ClickHouse's AI ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of high-performance database engineering and developer experience. You'll craft tools that enable Engineers and Data Scientists to harness ClickHouse's speed and scale in the frameworks they already use.
We're looking for someone who has firsthand experience as an AI & MLEngineer or Data Scientist. The data practitioner's world is shifting rapidly: databases are no longer just query targets, but they're becoming active participants in AI-powered workflows, serving as vector stores for RAG pipelines, backends for LLM-powered agents, and real-time feature stores for ML inference. You understand these workflows not from the outside, but because you've operated within them. You don't just build integrations, you bring product-level insight into what we should build and why.
You'll own the full lifecycle of key AI/ML integrations, driving architecture, performance, and feature direction across AI & LLM Ecosystem: LangChain, LlamaIndex, n8n, and broader AI tooling: embedding pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation with ClickHouse as a vector store, ML feature stores, and LLM-powered data applications.
ClickHouse's columnar architecture and query performance make it exceptionally well-positioned in this new landscape. Your job is to make that potential real: building the robust, production-ready connectors that make ClickHouse the natural choice when data practitioners design their next-generation AI and data systems.
What you'll do
Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connector and SDK ecosystem, raising the bar on performance, reliability, and API design
Drive the AI/LLM integration strategy: designing connectors and patterns that make ClickHouse a natural fit in RAG architectures, ML feature pipelines, and LLM-powered data applications
Engage actively with the open-source community: triage issues, support contributors, advocate for users, and shape the roadmap based on real-world feedback
Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and other engineering teams to align integration work with broader platform priorities
Bring a practitioner's perspective to roadmap decisions, grounding prioritization in genuine Data Engineer and Data Scientist workflows
About you
7+ years of software development experience, including hands-on time as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer
Deep, proven experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade Python connectors, SDKs, or integrations for at least one major platform (orchestration, BI, MLOps, or data transformation)
Hands-on experience applying AI/ML in production data-engineering contexts: embedding generation, vector search, feature pipelines, or LLM-powered tooling that shipped and ran in production
Solid experience with the Python data ecosystem: Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic, and related libraries
Strong database fundamentals: SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and familiarity with OLAP/analytical databases
Solid experience with concurrent Python: threading, multiprocessing, and async patterns
Outstanding written and verbal communication; comfortable collaborating across engineering functions and with open-source communities
Bonus points for:
Prior experience as a Data Engineer or Data Scientist in a product-facing or platform role
Familiarity with ClickHouse or similar high-performance OLAP platforms
Familiarity with the JVM ecosystem
Experience deploying AI/ML models in production, including inference APIs and vector databases
Familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect is a plus

We’re on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey!
The Security organization at ClickHouse is built around a single mission: build customer trust through resilient, pragmatic security. We are establishing a new, centralized Security Automation capability—a dedicated function responsible for delivering automation work across all product lines and engineering dimensions at ClickHouse, acting as a technical force multiplier for our Security, Identity, and GRC functions.
This capability exists to solve a real problem: as we scale and mature, we must move beyond manual evidence gathering, point-in-time audits, and disconnected identity workflows. We are creating a focused, empowered team that owns security and identity automation end-to-end—from architecture and design through to implementation and delivery.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Automation Engineer to build the underlying automation fabric that allows our Security teams to scale. You will build a Universal Provisioning Engine and custom integration layers that satisfy external auditors while keeping internal teams focused on shipping features.
You will eliminate the engineering "interruption tax," provide leadership with a real-time, data-driven view of our risk posture, and ensure continuous compliance with zero audit surprises. By solving the "Last-Mile Gap" in identity provisioning and extending compliance tools into our proprietary applications, you will ensure our most critical controls are continuously validated with programmatic precision.
What you will do:
Build the Security Telemetry and Risk Fabric
Control Design: Translate control frameworks into layered control implementations that prevent risks from being exploited and detect possible weaknesses within control design. Shift from reactive monitoring to self-healing security, preventing compliance drift before it becomes an audit finding.
Security Telemetry: Engineer a centralized security telemetry system that programmatically captures control evidence and health in real-time, transitioning from manual snapshots to continuous data streams for an 'always-on' view of our security posture.
Custom Assurance Logic: Engineer specialized automation that acts as its own continuous audit function to minimize findings and provide real-time insights into our automated control performance. Extend visibility into our proprietary applications and complex internal workflows, ensuring our most critical controls are continuously validated.
Agentic Risk Engine: Partner with our risk management function to build a secure mechanism to generate agentic risk assessments workflows using the data and results from what is collected.
Architect Universal Identity and Access Automation
Universal Provisioning Connectors: Architect solutions for systems that lack native IGA support (proprietary databases, custom apps, and niche SaaS) to ensure instant account creation and de-provisioning—eliminating tickets, wait-times, and providing maximum observability into the state of Clickhouse identities.
Customer-Approved Access Workflows: Architect the complex, high-trust workflows required for support teams to access customer-specific instances, ensuring actions are customer-approved, strictly time-bound, and automatically revoked via a "Trust-by-Design" model.
Centralized Security Visibility: Transition "hidden" access managed by disparate business units into a single, observable permissions inventory, gaining 100% visibility into permissions at the authZ level across our full suite of applications.
Automated Secret Discovery & Inventory: Develop automation to continuously discover and inventory secrets, credentials, and API keys throughout the environment, providing aging and rotation intervals for long lived keys.
Eliminate "Ghost Accounts": Mitigate audit risks by ensuring automated de-provisioning for local identities, API keys, and persistent permissions across all target systems.
Partner Across Security, Engineering and Product
Work in tandem with GRC, Finance, and Security to build custom, bulletproof automation for compliance with different audit frameworks.
Eliminate the "Productivity Anchor" by removing manual provisioning workflows that slow down projects and flood teams with low-value administrative tickets.
What you bring along:
Security & Automation Engineering Depth
Strong hands-on background in security automation and identity engineering (IAM/IGA).
Strong proficiency in at least one commonly used programming language to build scalable automation. Experience with Python, JavaScript (TypeScript highly preferred), or Go is required.
Experience building scalable and reliable automation ecosystems
Familiarity with compliance automation, continuous control monitoring, and extending GRC tools to meet the granular requirements of a variety of compliance frameworks.
Understanding of risks associated with change management, logical access, and data integrity.
Execution and Delivery
Demonstrated ability to translate complex security/GRC mandates into automated workflows and self-healing technical guardrails.
Strong instincts for eliminating operational friction and the engineering "interruption tax."
Experience delivering continuous data streams for security posture and risk validation.
Bonus Points:
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
Previous experience at a cloud infrastructure, database, or developer tools company.
Experience with AI/Agentic risk engines and non-deterministic risk assessments.
