VP of Sales
About CoverForce
At CoverForce, we're redefining how insurance is bought and sold. Our mission is simple: to make business insurance faster, easier, and fully digital. Thousands of insurance agents and corporate customers rely on our platform to streamline quoting, comparing, and purchasing policies.
We partner with leading insurers like Travelers, Liberty Mutual, and Chubb to reduce underwriting and sales time by 60%, setting a new standard for efficiency in the industry.
Our solutions power the future of insurance distribution:
✅ Quote & Bind Platform – Used by Top 100 insurance distributors to generate quotes instantly and eliminate paperwork.
✅ Embedded Commercial Product – Enables platforms like Walmart, Gusto, and Uber to embed business insurance seamlessly into their customer journeys.
✅ Insurance’s API Layer – We’re building the Plaid of commercial insurance, providing frictionless access to policies through APIs and modern software.
About the role
We're looking for a VP/Head of Sales to build and lead the revenue engine at CoverForce. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. You'll be the first dedicated sales leader at the company coming in with a seat at the table, owning the full go-to-market motion, and building the team and process from the ground up.
This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. You'll carry a bag, close deals yourself, and develop the playbooks, people, and systems that will scale revenue from here to $50M+ ARR and beyond.
This position is based in-person in New York City or Denver.
What you will do
Own the full sales function; pipeline, forecasting, team hiring, and quota attainment
Personally close mid-market and enterprise deals alongside your team, staying close to the customer throughout the cycle
Build and iterate on the sales process, playbooks, and tooling; CRM hygiene, pipeline rigor, and a forecasting methodology you'd stake your number on
Hire, coach, and develop a team of AEs; establish a high bar for performance and a culture of accountability
Partner directly with the CEO to set GTM strategy, shape pricing and packaging, and identify the highest-leverage markets and segments
Work closely with Marketing to develop demand-gen programs, partner with CS to ensure strong retention and expansion, and influence the product roadmap based on what you hear in the field
Build the operational muscle the sales org will need at scale; territory design, comp plans, onboarding, and enablement infrastructure
Why Now?
CoverForce is at a clear inflection point. We've built the platform, signed the carriers, and proven out the model with a growing base of agency networks, wholesalers, and embedded insurance partners. The infrastructure is in place. What comes next is building the sales organization that takes us from traction to category leadership, and we want the right person to own that.
This is a rare chance to step into a true founding sales leadership role at a company with real technology, real revenue, and real backing.
You are an ideal fit if
8–12+ years of B2B SaaS or technology sales experience, including at least 3–5 years in a sales leadership role
Track record of building and scaling sales teams at an early-stage company ($3M–$20M ARR); you've done this before and have the scar tissue to show for it
You've personally carried a bag and closed deals at some point in your career, and you're willing and eager to get back in the field alongside your team
Experience selling into a market where you had to create the category or educate the buyer, not just capture inbound demand
Proven ability to build from scratch: process, playbooks, hiring rubrics, and forecasting models
Strong operator; comfortable in a spreadsheet, rigorous about pipeline health, and capable of presenting a credible number to the board
Insurance or fintech experience is a plus, but not a requirement; what matters more is the ability to learn a complex domain quickly and translate it into a compelling sales narrative
Compensation and benefits
Competitive pay including equity
Unlimited PTO
Home office stipend
Full healthcare coverage for you and your family
Parental leave for all types of parents including adoption and foster care
VP of Sales
Software Engineer - Frontend
Business Analyst: Carrier Data, Integrations & Automation (Commercial Insurance)
Marketing Associate
CoverForce is building the foundation that the next generation of commercial insurance will run on. Our API connects wholesalers, MGAs, and brokerages to 40+ specialty carriers through a single integration — the infrastructure that everyone from early-stage insurtech startups to billion-dollar brokerages can build on.
Backed by Insight Partners with ~$18M raised. Our platform already powers some of the largest distributors in the country, and we're scaling fast - adding carriers, lines of business, and customers every quarter.
The Role
We're hiring a Marketing Associate to help build the GTM engine from the ground up.
You'll work directly with the Head of Marketing on everything that drives growth: campaigns, content, events, ads, automation, and experiments we haven't named yet. You'll touch the GTM stack daily, from databases to data enrichment to messaging automation to building your own marketing stack from scratch.
You'll own your own campaigns end-to-end, write your own playbook as you go, and learn what it actually takes to build a modern B2B GTM motion. If you're someone who gets excited about building things from scratch, testing fast, and seeing your work land in the pipeline, this is the seat for you.
What You'll Actually Do
Run creative campaigns that get noticed. Executive gifting, hand-curated dinners, personalized outreach, surprise-and-delight plays. The kind of work that ends up in someone's office, not their spam folder.
Own conference execution end-to-end. You'll build target lists from CRM and platform data, run pre-event outreach, coordinate dinners, chase every meeting that matters, and run the post-event follow-up that actually converts.
Build and optimize automation. Multi-step workflows in n8n across HubSpot, Slack, email, LinkedIn, and other channels that route the right message to the right person at the right moment. You'll inherit a stack that already works and you'll make it work better.
Use AI everywhere it helps. Drafting copy, enriching contacts, building agents, prototyping internal tools, running research, generating creative concepts. We give you the freedom to use whatever tools work best — we care about outcomes.
Experiment and test fast. Ad placements, subject lines, landing pages, list segments, gifts — everything's testable. Run the experiment, read the data, double down on what works, move on from what doesn't.
Optimize with data. We track everything in HubSpot and other databases. You'll live in the data and use what you find to make the next campaign sharper than the last.
What We're Looking For
1–3 years in marketing, growth, RevOps, or BDR roles at a startup. B2B SaaS preferred.
Excited to build things from scratch. You've shipped something — a workflow, a campaign, a tool, a side project — and you can show us.
Strong writer. Short sentences. Clear thinking. No fluff.
Comfortable with AI tools and prompt engineering. You've used them in real workflows — research, enrichment, prototyping, building agents.
Data-curious. Spreadsheets are baseline. SQL is a plus.
Bias toward action. You move from idea to live test quickly.
Bonus Points
Insurance, fintech, or vertical SaaS background.
Built things in n8n, Zapier, Make, Clay, or similar.
Light coding ability — Python, JavaScript, SQL — or genuine willingness to learn.
Experience with cold email infrastructure (Instantly, Smartlead) or LinkedIn outreach (HeyReach).
Event marketing or field marketing experience.
What We Offer
Base salary of $60K–$90K, plus meaningful equity.
Full healthcare, dental, and vision benefits for employees and their families.
Unlimited PTO.
Monthly in-person meetups (on the company).
Parental leave for all kinds of parents (including adoption and foster care).
Hybrid work environment (3 days in office).
