About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer, your primary mission is keeping Dexterity’s robotic systems running at peak performance in live customer warehouse environments. This role is focused on hands-on field servicing, preventive maintenance, physical retrofits, and rapid hardware/software troubleshooting.
You will be the primary technical point of contact on the shop floor during deployments and service calls, ensuring physical AI systems remain reliable, operational, and capable of hitting customer performance goals.
Key Responsibilities

On-Site Servicing & Maintenance: Execute hands-on field repairs, preventive maintenance, component replacements, and system upgrades on production robotic systems.

Field Hardware Diagnostics: Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) on failing physical hardware, mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, sensors, and electrical control circuits using multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Software & Systems Triage: Use Linux/UNIX command line interfaces (CLI), networking diagnostics, and trace/debug logs directly on customer sites to diagnose and resolve operational anomalies.

System Commissioning & Deployment: Lead hardware installation, software commissioning with specialized tooling, testing, and calibration during new system rollouts.

Spares & Component Refurbishment: Assist in RCAs on failed production components, log ticket updates, manage spare parts inventories, and refurbish components following repair protocols.

Field Escalation & SLAs: Execute escalation playbooks to resolve critical outages rapidly, supporting internal and offshore operations teams to hit Dexterity SLAs.

Customer Facing & Enablement: Act as the technical face of Dexterity on site, training customer personnel, operators, and external partners on proper handling, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance protocols.

Engineering Feedback Loop: Deliver clear field documentation, ticket logs, and actionable issue trends back to HQ engineering to improve future product serviceability and design.
Qualifications & Mindset

Education & Experience: BS or AAS in an engineering discipline related to robotics (CS, EE, ME, Mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent practical field service experience.

Field & Hardware Expertise: Proven experience performing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs on automated or industrial control systems using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Compensation
Base pay is one component of Dexterity's total rewards package, which may also include equity, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, and other compensation elements depending on eligibility.
The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000–$110,000 USD.
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, and overall qualifications. Final compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and will also consider relevant experience and internal equity.

About the Role
As a Product Growth Manager / Senior Product Growth Manager for Physical AI, you will be the primary interface between Dexterity and a portfolio of customers. Product Growth at Dexterity combines product management, strategic customer success, commercial execution, and customer adoption to maximize customer value and accelerate product evolution. You will help customers adopt Dexterity's robotics solutions successfully, grow the account footprint, support commercial negotiations, and translate customer needs into clear inputs for the product roadmap.
This role is product growth at its core. You will manage customer operating rhythms, coordinate with senior stakeholders, negotiate off-road map tasks, and ensure customers have a trusted advisor. You will be at the intersection of operational outcomes, commercial commitments, product capabilities, and support needs. This role will structure and triage customer requirements to improve our core product and services. This role offers opportunities to expand into Strategic Customer Success, Strategic Transformation, or Product Management as Dexterity and our customer deployments continue to scale.
Our teams operate at the frontier of Physical AI innovation and customer adoption, and will be a steep learning curve.
