DualBird is building a next-generation data acceleration platform that brings hardware-level performance to cloud infrastructure with software-level simplicity.
We’re looking for an Infrastructure & Automation Engineer to build automated systems that validate our Spark acceleration layer at large scale.
The role
You will design and operate our CI/CD for our core framework. This is a SW role focused on building infrastructure and internal tools on AWS (EMR/EKS) to ensure data correctness, system stability, and performance parity.
What you’ll do
Framework Development: Build an automation frameworks to build, validate, orchestrate, and release out SW suites.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions CI pipelines, ensuring every release correctness and performance.
System and CI Monitoring: Implement observability (Prometheus/Grafana/CloudWatch) to monitor our SW health.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with low level system architechts to provide automated feedback loops for hardware-level optimizations.
REQUIREMENTS
What you bring
4–7+ years of experience: Proven track record in SW development, QA automation or DevOps within cloud or distributed data environments.
Advanced Python: Ability to build complex, modular automation tools (Pytest, custom SDKs, Build tools, debug tools).
Cloud & K8s: Hands-on experiennce with AWS (EMR, S3, EC2) and EKS (Kubernetes) networking/orchestration.
CI/CD & Observability: Experience building automated release pipelines and monitoring distributed system as well as SW helath.
Advantage: Spark & Data Lakes: Technical knowledge of Apache Spark (shuffles, memory tuning, executors) and Apache Iceberg.
Linux/Systems: Strong CLI skills and comfort debugging failures across the OS and container layers.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software frameworks, drivers, and tools that accelerate open-source big data processing frameworks on custom hardware accelerators. Your work will focus on enabling and optimizing large-scale data processing workloads in tailor-made cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration with AWS-based data processing services. You will develop and optimize software stacks, implement benchmarking, debugging, and performance analysis tools, and evaluate acceleration gains to enhance efficiency and performance in cloud-based data platforms.

Qualifications & Skills
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a leading university.
5+ years of experience in software development, focusing on high-performance computing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in runtime system development and low-level performance optimization.
Strong background in debugging complex system environments.
Experience implementing and optimizing multi-threaded algorithms.
Solid understanding of columnar storage formats (e.g., Parquet) and their impact on query performance.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services, including AWS EMR, S3, and EC2.
Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and system development.
Familiarity with hardware accelerators.

What you’ll do
Shape our brand voice and messaging from scratch, turning complex technical wins into clear, irresistible stories for customers, partners, and talent
Spot real-time opportunities to jump into conversations that matter (industry news, market shifts, competitive moments)
Define the channels, cadence, and creative style that make us impossible to ignore, and build lightweight systems so marketing scales without slowing the team down
Create and maintain sales and business development materials (outreach decks, one-pagers, case studies, partner enablement content)
Own weekly LinkedIn content (company + founder accounts), working with engineers to turn raw ideas into posts, blogs, and thought leadership.
Keep our content calendar and reporting simple, fast, and useful
Coordinate speaking opportunities, events, and community engagements for founders and leadership
Manage and maintain our website (Webflow) and create/update assets in Canva or similar tools
Support website copy, decks, and collateral — including the “we needed it yesterday” requests
REQUIREMENTS
You'll thrive here if you...
Have 8+ years in B2B tech marketing
Have worked in the data infrastructure domain, or marketed products to engineers and technical buyers.
Have direct experience marketing to the US market — you know how US buyers think and how to position for them
Have hands-on execution ability, not just strategy or management
Are comfortable as a solo first-hire with no team and limited budget
Have run demand gen or growth programs that fed a sales pipeline
Have experience managing freelancers and agencies
Have an early-stage or startup background
Have a founder-led or LinkedIn-driven content experience
