About The Role
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist will support end-to-end execution of the company's Accounts Payable function—managing credit card coding and reconciliation, driving vendor reconciliations across multiple entities, collaborating on daily cash reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of day-to-day AP operations. EliseAI is growing its in-house Accounting department to create a top-tier team that drives the company's growth by supporting other business functions and providing insights into business performance. This role is an excellent opportunity to build foundational AP skills in a fast-moving environment where accuracy and attention to detail matter. The position is based at our New York City headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Support full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice intake, coding, and approval routing
Help collect and maintain vendor information, including contacts, banking details, and tax documentation (e.g., W-9/W-8)
Support the preparation and processing of weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers, and check writing
Assist with daily bank reconciliations and help research and resolve outstanding items
Co-Administer with administering the AP platform and the company's credit card software (NetSuite and Ramp or similar), including reviewing and coding a high volume of monthly credit card transactions, validating AP bills, and setting up vendors
Assist with month-end close processes, including AP accruals, cutoff procedures, and balance sheet reconciliations
Help process transactions across multi-entity and multi-currency payment structures, including cost center and inter-company considerations
Assist with additional accounting assignments and special projects as needed

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred; major in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field preferred
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts payable; high-growth enterprise, SaaS experience preferred
Experience with accounting ERP systems in previous role(s) (NetSuite experience preferred)
Experience with Ramp or a similar corporate card / AP automation platform is a plus
Strong understanding of full-cycle AP, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment runs
Familiarity with multi-currency transactions and processing is a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage high invoice volumes with accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, with advanced skills in Excel
Direct and clear communicator, both written and verbal. Not afraid to speak up
Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in continuous process improvement
Willingness to work in person at our office 4-5 days a week

About The Role
As Senior Strategy Manager, Government Affairs, you will establish and lead EliseAI's government affairs and public policy function from the ground up. Reporting to the Director of Business Development & Partnerships, you will build the relationships, intelligence, and strategy that let EliseAI navigate a fast-moving policy landscape—and help shape it.
This is a 0→1 role. There is no existing playbook to inherit; you will define what government affairs means at EliseAI, build the relationships that matter, and turn legislative and regulatory developments into a durable strategic advantage. You'll operate at the intersection of housing, technology, and public policy—three domains under intense and increasing regulatory attention.
Key Responsibilities
Stand up and own EliseAI's government affairs and public policy strategy from 0→1
Build and manage relationships with housing authorities, government agencies, regulators, and other public-sector stakeholders
Monitor, analyze, and synthesize legislative and regulatory developments affecting EliseAI—across AI regulation, fair housing, data privacy, tenant screening, and affordable housing programs—and translate them into clear internal guidance
Shape public policy in support of EliseAI's mission: represent the company with policymakers and industry coalitions, and author position papers, comment letters, and testimony
Advise product, legal, and leadership on regulatory risk and opportunity, ensuring policy considerations are built into strategic decisions early
Represent EliseAI in industry associations and coalitions, building the company's voice and credibility in housing and technology policy
Partner with GTM to unlock government and affordable-housing opportunities through agency and stakeholder relationships
Manage outside counsel, lobbyists, and consultants as the function scales
Move at rocket speed, build something massive.

Requirements
7+ years in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory strategy at a high-growth technology startup, or a relevant role at a top-tier management consultancy
Strong command of the legislative and regulatory landscape at the intersection of housing and technology (familiarity with fair housing, AI and data-privacy regulation, or affordable housing programs such as LIHTC and Section 8/PBRA is a strong plus)
Established relationships with government stakeholders—housing authorities, agencies, or regulators—or a demonstrated ability to build them quickly from a standing start
Track record of building something from 0→1 and operating effectively without a defined playbook
Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to author policy positions and represent EliseAI credibly in public and government settings
Strong analytical judgment, with the ability to translate policy and regulation into commercial and product implications
Comfortable with travel for agency, legislative, and industry engagements, including Washington, DC and state capitals

The Future Platforms Team - Executing on EliseAI’s Future Products
The Future Platforms team is responsible for executing on the next generation of AI products and business lines. This team will blend go-to-market, product, operations, and strategy with a mandate to push the frontier of AI and own everything required to take them from idea to market leadership.
Our goal is to take Elise from agentic AI to truly end-to-end autonomous operations, fundamentally transforming how housing operators run their businesses and how residents experience their homes.
Future Platforms will operate as a startup within a startup, run like a Seed or Series A company but with the capital, resources, and market access of a well-funded Series E, deep C-suite involvement (CEO, CRO, CSO, CTO) and founder-level ownership from day one.
About The Role
As an Engagement Lead on the Future Platforms team, you will help found and scale a critical function at EliseAI: delivering our accounting platform from initial deployment through full operational adoption.
You will own the accounting layer of complex engagements, serving as the primary driver of successful implementations across multiple clients at once. This means working directly with Controllers, CFOs, and accounting teams to scope workflows, configure systems, drive key decisions, and ensure a clean transition into live operations.
This is a highly cross-functional, execution-heavy role at the intersection of accounting, product, and customer success. Because the platform is early and evolving quickly, you won’t just execute implementations—you’ll help define how they’re done, building scalable systems and playbooks from the ground up.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong accounting intuition with a builder mindset, and wants to operate like a founder in a fast-scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities
Own accounting engagement success end-to-end
Drive the accounting portion of multiple concurrent engagements, from late-stage sales handoff through post-launch stabilization
Roll off accounts once they are fully live and operating successfully on the platform
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and operational readiness across all accounting workflows
Lead accounting discovery, scoping, and decisioning
Partner with senior accounting stakeholders (Controllers, CFOs, Finance teams) to understand current-state workflows and define future-state processes
Drive critical implementation decisions, such as:
Bank account onboarding strategy
Vendor onboarding and payment workflows
Chart of accounts structure and usage
Transaction and charge code design
Translate ambiguous accounting needs into clear system configurations and requirements
Own configuration and implementation
Lead hands-on accounting setup, including:
Chart of accounts (COA) configuration
Vendor and entity setup
Mapping of transactions and workflows
Manage detailed back-and-forth with clients to gather, validate, and refine data inputs
Ensure integrity and correctness of client-provided materials (e.g., validating GL structures, identifying inconsistencies, resolving gaps)
Drive migration and post-launch success
Ensure full readiness for data migration and system cutover
Lead post-launch activities, including:
Reconciliations and validation of financial data
Stabilization of accounting workflows in the new system
Kickstarting close processes and operational rhythms
Act as the primary owner of a clean, accurate transition into the platform
Enable adoption and training
Run trainings, walkthroughs, and tailored demos for accounting teams
Ensure end users are confident operating within the new system
Identify and resolve adoption blockers early
Build scalable systems and playbooks
Turn implementation learnings into repeatable processes, templates, and best practices
Partner with Product and Engineering to surface gaps and improve accounting workflows
Help define what “great” looks like for accounting implementations at scale
Move at rocket speed, build something massive.
We’re scaling fast, solving real client problems with precision and ambition. Here, you own your impact; full autonomy, no micromanagement, no fluff.
We hire the best, expect the best, and give you the masterclass of your career. It’s hard, it’s intense, and it’s the most rewarding work you’ll ever do. If you’re hungry, driven, and ready to build something massive, climb aboard.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who blends accounting expertise with strong execution and ownership:
5–8 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product management, and/or founder/operator roles at high-growth startups
Background in accounting or finance (e.g., former Controller, Senior Accountant, accounting consultant, or accounting-focused operator), ideally in a high-growth or tech-enabled environment
Experience managing complex, client-facing implementations or projects
Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (GL, reconciliations, close process, workflows)
Comfortable getting into the weeds with data, configurations, and systems
Excellent communicator who can build trust with senior finance stakeholders
Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent engagements under tight timelines
Autonomous, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
Willingness to work in person at our office 4-5 days a week

About The Role
We are looking for an Affordable Housing Compliance Expert to ensure the accuracy of resident files across the affordable housing programs our platform supports. You will provide in-house authority on affordable housing compliance and policy — reviewing real tenant files, pressure-testing our automated compliance outputs, and surfacing the complex, real-world cases that should inform how our product evolves.
This is a hands-on review and auditing role. Your focus will be the judgment required for complex compliance cases, and you will be hands-on in the files themselves. You will work closely with our customers and our internal product and engineering teams, collecting findings and sharing them back internally so we can continuously improve how the system handles affordable housing compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Review files for accuracy — Audit resident files across LIHTC (Section 42), HUD Section 8 (HCV, PBV, and PBRA), USDA Rural Development, and related programs for compliance with program rules
Own the hard cases — Apply expert judgment to the most complex and ambiguous files — income and asset calculations, imputed income from assets, deductions, and non-standard scenarios
Pressure-test the system — Validate automated compliance outputs against program requirements, confirming that calculations, determinations, and supporting language hold up to scrutiny
Identify and escalate gaps — Spot where the system does not yet handle a case correctly, document the issue clearly, and escalate the cases that require manual review
Feed findings back to product and engineering — Surface patterns and edge cases that should drive automation priorities and product improvements
Build reference materials and standards — Distill review patterns and edge cases into clear, durable internal reference guides so compliance knowledge is shared across the team. Key priority: document the compliance decisions made during product development
Support testing and validation — Develop representative test cases and support UAT to confirm outputs reconcile to compliance expectations before release
Move at rocket speed, build something massive.

Requirements
We are looking for the following capabilities. If you do not meet all of these qualifications, but are passionate about affordable housing, have a demonstrated interest in the field, and are a quick learner, we still encourage you to apply
3+ years of hands-on affordable housing compliance file review or auditing experience
Deep, practical knowledge of affordable housing programs — LIHTC (Section 42), HUD Section 8 (HCV, PBV, PBRA), and ideally USDA Rural Development — including income and asset determinations, certifications and recertifications, and tenant file requirements.
Background as a state housing finance agency auditor, an operator-side compliance professional, or a third-party compliance reviewer
One or more relevant certifications: COS, SHCM, TCS, BOS, HCCP, NCP, or similar credentials demonstrating real file-review expertise
Strong, clear written communication — able to document findings precisely and explain compliance reasoning to non-experts
Comfort working through ambiguous, complex cases independently and at high volume
Experience in a software / SaaS environment, or comfort translating program rules into software logic
Experience with TRACS / MAT submissions, MORs, or state agency monitoring reviews
Familiarity with AI and/or automation as they relate to compliance workflows
We are considering remote candidates, but with preference for candidates based in NYC. Candidates located within commuting distance of NYC will work from our office 4-5 days per week.

About EliseAI
At EliseAI, we're improving the industries that matter most: housing and healthcare. Everyone needs a place to live and access to quality healthcare, yet both are often harder to secure than they should be.
By integrating AI agents deeply into existing workflows, we make them more efficient, reduce costs, and improve the experience for everyone.
Housing: We simplify how renters tour apartments, sign leases, submit maintenance requests, and stay connected with their property team—bringing everything they need for their home into one place.
Healthcare: We make it easy to schedule appointments, complete intake forms, and we help patients communicate with providers, so everyone can focus on health instead of paperwork.
With EliseAI, organizations reduce manual work, improve accessibility, and deliver a seamless experience across essential services. We recently raised a $250 million Series E round led by Andreessen Horowitz to accelerate this mission.
