ABOUT FINCH
We believe every American household deserves access to counsel in life’s biggest moments. At Finch, we’re building the infrastructure to make justice radically more accessible. Our modern approach to consumer law automates the admin work and puts clients first, starting with personal injury.
In just over a year, we've grown 10x, raised a $20M Series A, and become the pre-litigation partner of choice for top personal injury firms across the country. We believe the best outcomes happen when expert operators and purpose-built AI work together – which is why we handle every step of pre-lit, from intake and claim opening to medical records, lien management, and demands, with humans leading every case.
We’re backed by Sequoia, Redpoint, and the founders & CEOs of generational companies like DoorDash, Ironclad, and Digits. We’re rebuilding how the law serves everyday Americans from first principles, and we’re hiring exceptional operators to help us scale it nationwide.
👋 NOTE FROM KELLY
Hi! I'm Kelly https://www.linkedin.com/in/kelly-jacques-6037ab12b/ - I lead Go-to-Market Strategy & Operations at Finch. My team is a small group of diverse problem-solvers who are pros at answering and executing against the questions "where do we grow next, what will it take to win, and how do we get there faster?” This role exists to own those answers full-time and turn them into scalable systems.
The GTM Strategy & Ops org doesn't have a fixed lane. Priorities will shift as the business does, and you'll need to be just as comfortable modeling an idea as you are shipping it the next day.
THIS ROLE
We're looking for a GTM Strategy & Ops teammate to help Finch design, scale, and optimize the systems that power our growth. You'll operate at the intersection of revenue, product, and strategy – tackling the most important questions in the business: Where do we grow next? What will it take to win? And how do we get there faster?
You'll partner with our founders, sales, and product to turn insight into execution, driving projects that shape Finch's go-to-market motion, accelerate revenue, and deepen relationships with our most strategic customers.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, loves getting close to customers, and wants a front-row seat to scaling a generational company from the inside out.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own high-impact strategic projects – from new product launches to pricing strategy to GTM experiments that open up entirely new markets.
- Work directly with our sales leader and biggest customers to uncover new revenue opportunities, shape product direction, and translate insights into action.
- Design and optimize Finch’s growth engine – align people, process, and data to drive predictable revenue and scalable operations.
- Build the systems behind the story – dashboards, metrics, and feedback loops that make growth measurable and repeatable.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product to connect strategy to execution and ensure every team is pulling toward the same outcomes.
- Translate chaos into clarity – break down ambiguous challenges into crisp, actionable plans that deliver impact fast.
- Help craft Finch’s GTM narrative – how we position, price, and win as we move from product-market fit to category leadership.
- Execute ruthlessly – you won’t just model ideas; you’ll ship them, measure them, and scale what works.
WHO WE HAVE IN MIND
MUST-HAVES
- 2–8 years of experience in GTM strategy, BizOps, consulting, finance, or revenue operations at a fast-growing SaaS or tech company.
- Strategic and execution-oriented – equally comfortable in the boardroom and the spreadsheet.
- A bias for action – you turn hypotheses into impact, fast.
- Thrive in ambiguous, high-velocity environments where priorities shift and outcomes matter more than titles.
- Love working on revenue-critical problems – pricing, pipeline, forecasting, customer strategy.
- Customer-obsessed – you want to get close to the firms using Finch, understand their business, and use that knowledge to drive growth.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Economics, etc.).
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience in management consulting, finance, venture, or startup strategy roles.
- Experience working closely with founders or exec teams to shape company direction.
THIS ROLE MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU IF
- You need a clearly scoped lane – this role's priorities and inputs will shift as fast as the business does.
- You'd rather hand off the model than own what happens after it ships – this role expects you to execute and measure, not just recommend.
- You're not comfortable being customer-facing – a real chunk of this is sitting directly with Finch's law firm partners.

👋 NOTE FROM RISHI
Hi! I'm Rishi https://www.linkedin.com/in/rishiahuja/, I lead Product at Finch. Design has not existed as its own discipline yet at Finch. Members of our Technical Staff are doing their own design work, which has worked well thus far, but will soon cease to do so as we roll out external-facing products for our law firm partners (see Finch OS https://www.finchlegal.com/os).
You'd be our first product designer, reporting to the CTO, and working directly with me and other stakeholders – engineers, strategy & ops, growth. Our hope is for this person to scale the design practice/function over time. doing your own discovery (sitting with paralegals and attorneys, watching how they actually work today), and engineers trusting your process because you think in code, not just Figma.
Personal injury law is a messy, operationally intense domain, and you'll need real curiosity about the weeds of it, not just clean consumer-UI instincts. If you do your best work off a polished brief someone else wrote, this probably isn't it.
THIS ROLE
Finch is at the point where design can change the trajectory of the product. Right now, no one owns it. You'll be our first product designer, working directly with our founders, Rishi (Product), and engineering to bring structure and discovery to what's currently ad hoc, starting with the external-facing case management tool in beta today. The people relying on your work are legal operators and law firm partners navigating high-stakes, time-sensitive casework – and the engineers who, until now, have had no design partner at all.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll own design across Finch's entire surface area – product, brand, and the emerging AI experiences in between. This role will grow as the company does; expect to define its scope as much as execute within it.
- Own product design end-to-end for Finch's external-facing case management tool – the system law firms use to manage their cases with us.
- Do real discovery before you design: sit with attorneys and paralegals, watch how they work today (in Finch's tools and in competitors like Filevine), and find the friction before proposing a fix.
- Turn one-off stakeholder requests into systems-level solutions that hold up across the product, rather than local patches that create clutter for the next person.
- Work close to code, not just Figma – partner directly with engineering, and ship simple changes (copy, layout, styling) yourself where it makes sense.
- Help extend the external product experience to our internal paralegal tools as the two converge over the coming quarter.
- Hold your own point of view in design reviews – push back with reasoning rather than just executing whatever's asked.
- Flex into brand or marketing work occasionally when our contract brand designer is at capacity – not the core of the role, but useful.
WHO WE HAVE IN MIND
MUST-HAVES
- 4–10 years as a product designer with direct ownership of complex workflows, ideally at a recognizable consumer or B2B company.
- A demonstrated pattern of doing discovery before designing – sitting with the people doing the job, not just taking a brief and running with it.
- Experience designing operationally intensive workflow software, not just consumer or mobile UI – B2B, ops-heavy, or similarly complex domains.
- Comfort thinking in code and working close to engineering, rather than handing off static Figma files.
- A track record of holding and defending your own design decisions with reasoning, while staying easy to collaborate with.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Both consumer and B2B-operational experience in the same background (e.g. a high-bar consumer company plus operational product work).
- Some comfort with AI-native design tools to ship simple changes independently.
- Experience supporting brand or marketing work alongside product design.
- Genuine curiosity about the personal injury or legal domain, or a track record of getting deep into unfamiliar, messy industries fast.
THIS ROLE MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU IF
- You do your best work when the roadmap, problems, and success metrics are already defined for you.
- You'd rather stay in Figma and hand off – bridging into code and sitting with real users isn't how you like to work.
- You're drawn to this for the glossy consumer-brand story and don't have real interest in "grungy" operational problems.

👋 NOTE FROM ALEX
Hi! I'm Alex https://www.linkedin.com/in/alex-gouchtchina/, Chief of Staff @ Finch. Part of my role since I joined Finch has been maintaining our financial infrastructure and adding complexities. As we continue to grow quickly and prep for major scale, we’re excited to bring on our first Finance hire.
We're post-Series A now, which means debt strategy, credit decisions, and real forecasting aren't optional side quests. Within your first 90 days, you’ll own invoicing, banking, and cash/investment decisions. You'll run a full forecasting cycle alongside our CEO, and you'll become the person in the room who challenges how we spend/invest, not just the person who reports on it afterward.
You'll report into our CEO, and build the function from the ground up, at a company that moves uncomfortably fast. If that sounds exciting rather than exhausting, we’d love to meet you.
THIS ROLE
Finch is post-Series A, and the finance decisions in front of us (debt strategy, credit facilities, real forecasting) are no longer things a founder can handle on the side. You'll be the first functional Finance leader at the company, working directly with our founders to build the financial infrastructure a company at this stage actually needs. The people relying on your work are the founders, the board, and every team whose plans depend on knowing how to reasonably invest in our growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own invoicing, banking, and cash/investment optimization end-to-end — no more founder sign-off on routine finance ops.
- Build and own our debt and credit strategy, including evaluating financing structures as we scale post-Series B.
- Partner with our CEO and exec team on company-wide forecasting — a shared exercise, not a solo handoff.
- Sit in strategic and spend conversations across the company, and push back on decisions that don't hold up.
- Set up the regulatory guardrails and financial controls Finch needs at this stage, without slowing the business down.
- Build the systems and reporting infrastructure that let a fast-moving startup make confident financial decisions.
- Help define what the finance function looks like as we scale past this hire — this role will evolve as the company does.
WHO WE HAVE IN MIND
MUST-HAVES
- You're a strategic finance operator, not a controller – you shape decisions in the room, not just report on them after.
- You have debt and credit fluency, or the demonstrated speed to build it fast – this isn't optional post-Series B.
- You've directly owned invoicing, banking, and cash/investment optimization at a prior company, with the maturity to run it independently.
- You have a track record of stepping up – senior manager/director-level FP&A or controllership at scale, now ready to own a function solo (or, earlier in your career, 2–3 years as an M&A banker with a track record of early promotion).
- You have a growth mindset, not a guardrails mindset – you build systems that let a company move fast, and your default isn't "no".
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Prior finance leadership experience inside a post-Series B or similarly-staged startup.
- Direct experience partnering with a hands-on CEO or board on forecasting.
- Legal tech, B2B SaaS, or vertical software finance background.
- Comfort being evaluated in real time – this process includes a live case component, and people who enjoy that tend to enjoy this job.
THIS ROLE MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU IF
- You do your best work when the finance function is already built and your job is to maintain it.
- Your instinct is to build process for control rather than for speed – we need someone whose default is "how do we make this faster," not "no".
- You want a full finance team around you from day one – for a while, it's just you.

THIS ROLE
Personal injury law is drowning in repetitive tasks, paper-based bottlenecks, and fragmented data – and we're building the software to fix it. As a Member of the Technical Staff at Finch, you'll own critical features end-to-end, ship fast, and work directly alongside product, ops, and design in a codebase where your decisions matter from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Member of the Technical Staff at Finch, you're building the system our team uses every day to run intake, medical records, police reports, lien management, and demands for personal injury firms across the country. Your code directly determines how many cases our paralegals can handle, and by extension, our ability to help more cases seen.
This is a full-stack role at a company where the product is evolving quickly and engineers have real ownership – expect the scope to grow as we do.
- Own major features end-to-end, from architecture decisions through production release.
- Build reliable, performant systems across our core workflows using Python/Django, React, and AWS.
- Ship AI-powered functionality that turns legal complexity into clear, usable software for law firms.
- Collaborate directly with product, ops, and design to define what gets built and why.
- Shape our culture of our technical team, standards, and practices while we're still small enough for it to matter.
WHO WE HAVE IN MIND
This role is for technical team members who want ownership over outcomes, not just tickets. Here's what that requires.
MUST-HAVES
- 3+ years building reliable, secure software in production.
- Full-stack experience – comfortable across the frontend and backend.
- Proficiency in Python and React, or demonstrably fast at picking up new stacks.
- A track record of writing clean, testable, maintainable code.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience with Django, AWS, or OpenAI APIs.
- Prior work at an early-stage startup where you helped set engineering standards.
- Familiarity with legal tech, document processing, or data-heavy workflows.
THIS ROLE MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU IF
- You do your best work with a well-defined spec and a stable, established codebase.
- You prefer deep specialization in one layer of the stack over full-stack ownership.
- You're looking for a remote-first role – this one is 4 days/week in our NYC office.
COMPENSATION
The expected package for this role includes base salary + equity.
- Base salary = $180,000 - $280,000.
BENEFITS
- 100% coverage for health, dental, and vision.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- In-office snacks, drinks, and daily team lunches and dinners.
- Flexible PTO (we trust you to take the time you need).
INTERVIEW PROCESS
1. Intro: An initial call to see if there's a mutual fit.
2. Interview: Technical session with a member of the team.
3. Onsite: A visit to our NYC office to interview, meet the team, and have lunch.

This is a full-stack role at a company where the product is evolving quickly and engineers have real ownership – expect the scope to grow as we do.
- Build production-grade voice, browser, document, and workflow agents that move personal injury cases forward.
- Design long-horizon agent systems - including context, tools, memory, permissions, structured outputs, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Own the eval flywheel: turn real cases and operator feedback into benchmarks that continuously improve agent quality.
- Optimize performance through model selection and routing, context engineering, prompting, tool design, and agent observability.
- Make agents reliable across calls, documents, communications, third-party portals, partial failures, and changing case information.
- Evaluate advances in agentic AI and rapidly ship the ones that improve quality, speed, or cost.

- Experience designing practical evals and using them to understand agent behavior, compare approaches, and improve task-completion quality.
- Proficiency in Python and comfort working with React, LLM APIs, and agent frameworks.
- Strong instincts for agent design, including context construction, model selection, tool boundaries, structured outputs, failure recovery, and human handoffs.
- A track record of turning ambiguous, real-world workflows into simple, dependable systems.
- An experimental mindset: you move quickly, measure what matters, and care more about whether an agent completes the job correctly than whether the approach is clever.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience with Pydantic AI or another production agent framework.
- Experience building voice agents, browser agents, or long-running workflow agents.
- Familiarity with Django, React, Temporal, Playwright, or AWS.
- Experience building evaluation systems, agent observability, model routing, or human-in-the-loop review tools.

THIS ROLE
Legal work is buried in unstructured documents, repetitive workflows, and data that no existing system handles well — and we're building the AI to fix it. As a Member of the Technical Staff at Finch, you'll own the full lifecycle of AI systems, from prototype to production, working on problems where a single breakthrough can meaningfully change how law firms operate.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
This is a hands-on applied AI role where you'll build and ship production systems — not just run experiments. The scope will grow as our product and team do.
- Build voice agents, browser agents, OCR pipelines, and LLM-powered workflows that work reliably in production.
- Design rigorous evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to systematically improve model accuracy and reliability.
- Own the full ML lifecycle — model selection, fine-tuning, prompt design, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate directly with product, ops, and legal experts to make sure the AI is solving the right problems.
- Track emerging research and tools, and make deliberate calls about when to bring them into our stack.
WHO WE HAVE IN MIND
This role is for technical team members who care about outcomes over algorithms and are just as comfortable in production as they are in a notebook. Here's what that requires.
MUST-HAVES
- 3+ years building and deploying production ML systems.
- Strong Python skills and experience working across the ML stack end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluation design.
- A track record of shipping observable, maintainable AI systems — not just prototypes.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience with NLP, OCR, speech, or agent frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI APIs, etc.).
- Prior work at an early-stage startup where you helped define ML infrastructure from scratch.

2. Interview: Technical session with a member of the team.

Hi 👋, I'm Molly https://www.linkedin.com/in/molly-hoffman-63a6b956/ – I run Marketing at Finch. I'm responsible for driving sales pipeline, and this role reports into me, with direct sales coaching from our founder, Viraj.
This role is open because our go-to-market org has real momentum – law firms are excited by what we're selling, and we need someone focused, disciplined, and hungry enough to turn that excitement into pipeline. Today our sales team is four people, with just one SDR.
As an early team member, you'll shape and execute the playbook for a major new business initiative, laying the groundwork for a repeatable SDR motion as we scale to 10, 20, 30 reps. You’ll also operate with autonomy and creativity, and have the opportunity to accelerate your career as a seller.

THIS ROLE
This is one of Finch's first SDR roles – which means you won't just be filling a seat, you'll be building the foundation for how we grow. You'll own top-of-funnel, help shape our outbound playbook, and be the first voice many law firms ever hear from us. If you want to do meaningful work early in your career and grow fast, this is the role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
This is an outbound-focused role at a company where the GTM motion is still being defined – you'll prospect and help build the system at the same time. Expect the scope to expand as we grow.
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline through outbound email, cold calls, and LinkedIn outreach to law firm decision-makers.
- Build Finch's SDR playbook – testing messaging, tracking performance, and iterating quickly.
- Execute with discipline and consistency day to day – this role is as much about the daily grind as it is about strategy.
- Convert early interest into booked meetings for our Account Executive team.
- Maintain clean, accurate pipeline data in our CRM so the team can move fast with confidence.
- Represent Finch at legal tech conferences and industry events.
WHO WE HAVE IN MIND
This role rewards people who are comfortable creating structure where none exists and who see early-stage as an opportunity.
MUST-HAVES
- Some experience in a client-facing outbound sales or BD role.
- Demonstrated ability to test, iterate, and optimize outbound messaging and workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Prior experience building or contributing to an SDR playbook.
- Familiarity with the legal industry or experience selling into professional services.
- Experience at a high-growth startup.
THIS ROLE MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU IF
- You do your best work when the outbound playbook is already written and the process is fully defined.
- You're looking for a role with a clear, linear path rather than one where you help create it.
- You’re unwilling to travel with some regularity with our team to conferences.
COMPENSATION
The expected package for this role includes base salary + commission + equity.
- Base salary = $75,000 - $100,000
- OTE = $90,000 - $120,000
BENEFITS
- 100% coverage for health, dental, and vision.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- In-office snacks, drinks, and daily team lunches and dinners.
- Flexible PTO (we trust you to take the time you need).
INTERVIEW PROCESS
1. Intro: A quick call to see if there's a mutual fit.
2. Interview: An behavioral interview with the hiring manager.
3. Case: An assignment related to the work.
4. Onsite: A visit to our NYC office to interview, meet the team, and have lunch.
