Role Scope
Run deployment projects for controls and sensor systems across sites: scope, schedule, vendors, and field execution.
Coordinate installation and integration of BMS and EPMS sensors, meters, and control hardware with construction and commissioning.
Own the vendor relationships: procurement handoff, delivery timing, and field support when it breaks.
Track every site's controls scope to done, with punch lists that actually reach zero.

Design and deploy the SCADA architecture that monitors and controls power, cooling, and mechanical systems across gigawatt-scale data center sites in real time.
Integrate telemetry from switchgear, generators, chillers, and building management systems into a unified data platform so operators see the full state of a site from a single view.
Build the tag databases, HMI screens, and alarm logic that let a lean operations team run live sites without missing a fault.
Standardize the SCADA and telemetry stack into a repeatable reference design so each new site deploys the same instrumentation and data model rather than a bespoke build.
Validate every point and signal with the controls, commissioning, and operations teams before a site goes live, so the data operators depend on is trustworthy from day one.

You've designed and commissioned SCADA or industrial control systems for critical facilities, mission-critical, industrial, or power infrastructure.
You've integrated field devices and protocols (Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, OPC UA) into a working telemetry platform rather than a pile of disconnected points.
You've built HMI and alarm systems that operators actually trusted and used under real fault conditions.
You've standardized a controls or telemetry design so it could be deployed repeatably across multiple sites instead of rebuilt each time.
You've caught instrumentation and data-quality problems during commissioning before they reached a live operations team.
You write configuration and point documentation precise enough that another engineer can maintain or extend the system without reverse-engineering it.

The Modular Team

Design the module that makes 6-month data centers possible. Fluidstack builds data centers in months, not years, and that speed lives in the modular product: a data center engineered as a manufactured unit, not a construction project.
Take designs from concept to the manufacturing line in weeks. Concept, released drawings, first article, and rate production on a compressed schedule, with the factory building from your work the same month you release it.
Engineer for the thousandth unit, not the first. On the way to 10 GW, every drawing, tolerance, and BOM decision has to survive rate manufacturing, so repeatability is designed in from the start.
Role Scope
Engineer the mechanical systems of the modular product: cooling, piping, and airflow from concept to released drawings.
Own the liquid cooling loops, pumps, and heat rejection design the modular product's density depends on.
Solve the integration problems where mechanical meets structure and electrical: routing, interfaces, and tolerances where the disciplines collide.

Qualify the hardware the frontier runs on before it runs anywhere else. First samples of next-generation accelerators, switches, storage, and liquid cooling land here, and leave as production-ready platforms with runbooks the whole fleet inherits.
Compress silicon-to-production to weeks. The lab closes the gap between vendor sample and customer-ready gigawatt infrastructure, and every week cut here pulls the entire 10 GW deployment curve forward.
Run the lab like a production site. Provisioning, telemetry, demand management, and liquid cooling mirror production architecture exactly, so a qualification pass in the lab is a deployment guarantee in the field.
Prove the power envelope nobody else will touch. Dynamic demand management lets AI compute deploy beyond nominal electrical capacity, and the lab validates the full detection-to-shutdown response chain that makes it safe.
Role Scope
Bring up first-sample accelerator platforms (NVIDIA, AMD, custom accelerators) end to end: rack integration, liquid cooling commissioning, firmware baseline establishment, network connectivity, and software stack validation at rack densities up to and beyond 120 kW.
Validate network platforms across Broadcom Tomahawk, Broadcom Jericho, and NVIDIA Spectrum silicon, driving Keysight Ixia traffic generation for RFC 2544/2889 benchmarking, line-rate stress, and protocol correctness.
Verify the optical layer with EXFO test equipment, covering BER characterization and power budget analysis across the link inventory a qualification depends on.
Qualify CDUs and liquid cooling across nVent, CoolIT, and Vertiv platforms: commissioning procedures, BMS telemetry integration, leak detection validation, coolant chemistry verification, and the operational runbooks that fall out of each pass.

You've personally brought up servers, accelerators, or switches from first power-on: racking, cabling, firmware, first boot, and everything that goes wrong in between.
You script your test harnesses and automation rather than clicking through runs, so your results are repeatable and your throughput compounds.
You're deep in Linux and manage hardware at the BMC level: IPMI, Redfish, sensor telemetry, and power and boot control from the command line.
You document methodically, producing test reports and runbooks that someone else can execute without you in the room.
You've worked hands-on with liquid-cooled, high-power hardware and treat its safety procedures as part of the craft.
You debug across hardware, firmware, and software layers yourself, without waiting for someone else to isolate the fault.
Bonus: RDMA/RoCEv2 fabrics. Optics testing depth. Kubernetes-based provisioning stacks. Power and electrical instrumentation experience.

Role Scope
Engineer the mechanical systems in the reference design: cooling distribution, piping, and heat rejection for modular units.
Run the calcs: hydraulics, heat transfer, and equipment sizing owned end to end.
Develop vendor packages: CDUs, pumps, and dry coolers specified, evaluated, and integrated.
Support prototypes and first builds: test data reconciled against design.
What We're Looking For

You've designed mechanical or HVAC systems for data centers or industrial plants.
Your hydraulic and thermal calcs are yours, not the vendor's.
You've specified and integrated major cooling equipment.
You've validated designs against commissioning or test data.
You draw clean P&IDs and mean them.
Bonus: Liquid and direct-to-chip cooling. Revit or plant CAD. ASHRAE datacom depth. Field commissioning exposure.
