Facilities Production Team Lead
About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
How We Operate
Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The Data Center Operations Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Operate at the scale of a nation, not a building. The fleet you run will draw more power than some countries, on the way to 10s to 100s of GWs.
Fly the plane while it's being built. Sites come online in pieces, and you keep the live ones running flawlessly while construction continues around them.
Write the playbook, don't inherit it. No prior operations org has run at this speed and scale, so the standards you set become the standard.
Role Scope
Lead the facilities production engineering team: hiring, priorities, delivery, and on-call health.
Own the roadmap connecting site needs to engineering output, sequenced by fleet impact.
Run the operating rhythm with site operators so the team builds what shifts actually need.
Grow engineers across the OT/IT boundary, a skill set the market barely produces.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've managed engineering teams shipping into operational environments.
You've balanced roadmap work against interrupt-driven site support without letting either starve.
You've hired for rare hybrid skill sets and built people into them when the market had none.
Your teams keep shipping when the pager is loud.
Bonus: Facilities or industrial software. Data center operations exposure. SRE practices. OT systems familiarity.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Commissioning Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Stand up the commissioning program for 10s to 100s of GWs of capacity this decade.
Run commissioning and QA-QC for first-of-a-kind modular data centers.
Automate Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning.
Role Scope
Commission BMS and EPMS controls for data centers: point-to-point through full sequence validation and integrated testing.
Verify every sequence of operations against design, and prove failure modes behave as written, not as hoped.
Run alarm rationalization and graphics validation so operators inherit a system they can trust on day one.
Automate test execution and reporting so Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning gets faster every site.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've commissioned building controls on mission critical projects through integrated systems testing.
You've done point-to-point on thousands of points and kept the tracker honest.
You read control sequences critically and find the case the programmer missed.
You script or automate repetitive test work rather than grinding it manually.
Bonus: Niagara, Ignition, or major BMS platforms. EPMS integration. PLC programming. Data center liquid cooling controls.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Capacity Delivery Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Engineer gigawatts from drawing to energized, in months not years. Capacity Delivery owns technical execution across every build: the drawings, the field questions, and the engineering calls that keep multiple concurrent gigawatt sites moving.
Engineer data centers that go up in months, not years. At that pace rework is not an option: problems get caught on paper or they cost a data hall.
Design it once, build it a hundred times. Every site's lessons roll into the reference design on the way to 10s to 100s of GWs, so each build starts ahead of the last.
Role Scope
Own architectural scope for assigned sites: envelope, code compliance, and life safety from review through closeout.
Review architectural packages for constructability and conformance to the reference design.
Drive permitting and AHJ coordination on architectural and life safety scope so approvals never gate the schedule.
Resolve field architectural issues: envelope details, firestopping, egress conflicts.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've done architectural engineering or architecture on industrial or mission critical projects.
You know building code and life safety at the chapter-and-section level.
You've run AHJ relationships and gotten to yes on nonstandard designs.
You catch the envelope details that leak before they get built.
Bonus: Licensed architect. Data center projects. Modular envelope systems. Code consulting background.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Define quality gates per phase, fabrication, installation, commissioning handover, and make them enforceable, not aspirational.
Run the nonconformance process: tracked, dispositioned, trended, and fed back to the source.
Report quality health across the portfolio in numbers leadership acts on.

Your quality metrics changed behavior somewhere, and you can say where.
Bonus: ISO 9001 systems. Data center or modular construction QA. Supplier quality interface. Audit certification.

The People Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Build the people function from scratch, fast enough to keep up with 10x growth. We grew headcount 10x in the last year and we're not slowing down. You'll build the systems, programs, and team from nothing, and make them work before we outgrow them.
Reinvent people operations around AI. Doing this by hand doesn't scale to a workforce growing this fast on a team this lean. You'll put AI at the core of how the function runs, so a small team supports many times its number.
Own the culture and comms as the company scales. When a company scales this quickly, staying connected and aligned doesn't happen on its own. You'll own the internal comms, events, and rhythm that keep a multi-site team that's growing fast bound to a shared culture.
Role Scope
Own employee relations across the company: investigations, conflict resolution, and policy questions handled fast and fairly.
Run investigations end to end with documentation that stands up to legal review.
Coach managers through performance and conduct issues before they escalate.
Track ER patterns and fix the root cause, whether it is a policy, a manager, or a process.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've owned employee relations at a growing company and run investigations solo.
Your documentation has survived legal scrutiny.
You deliver hard messages with care and keep trust on both sides.
You spot the pattern behind repeat cases and act on it.
Bonus: Employment law background. Multi-state experience. Field or operations workforce ER. Manager training design.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Construction Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Put gigawatts in the ground, faster than anyone has. We're delivering one of the largest data center buildouts of its kind, with many sites running at once. Traditional construction management breaks at this scale, so we're building the model that replaces it.
Throw out traditional construction and invent how gigawatts get built. Tons of tools, layers of process, and administrative drag don't get you there. You'll strip all of that out and win by solving the real problem and beating the goal, not by managing toward it.
Productize the data center so we can build it a thousand times. You'll turn one-off construction into a repeatable, modular build, where the hundredth site goes up faster and cleaner than the first. That repeatability is the only way to reach the scale we're targeting.
Role Scope
Own the site schedule in P6: build it with the field, update it from the field, and keep it honest.
Run weekly lookaheads with superintendents and GCs so the three-week plan matches what crews actually do.
Analyze float, logic, and progress to flag slips weeks before they show up in a milestone.
Tie the schedule to commissioning sequences so system turnover dates drive construction priorities.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've scheduled large industrial or mission critical construction in P6, on site, not from an office.
You build schedules from crew logic, not templates.
You spot a bad progress update and challenge it with data.
You communicate schedule risk in plain language a superintendent will act on.
Bonus: Data center builds. Pull planning and last planner. Earned value tracking. Commissioning schedule integration.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Supply Chain Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Supply compute at a scale of 10s to 100s of GWs, the largest build out of compute in history. Qualify and dual-source across every critical equipment category, with lead-time and capacity thresholds tied directly to the forward build pipeline.
Make supply chain the reason we build faster than anyone. Our modular build redefines speed in this industry, and it lives or dies on supply chain. Keep procurement permanently off the critical path so schedule compression stays our advantage, not our constraint.
Build the most accurate supply chain prediction modelling that exists. Use the frontier of AI to forecast lead times, demand, and disruption with a precision the industry has never had, and turn that foresight into a structural edge.
Role Scope
Own supplier quality for steel fabrication and building systems suppliers feeding the modular build.
Audit fabrication shops on weld quality, dimensional control, and coating systems before and during production.
Run source inspections on fabricated assemblies so defects get caught at the shop, not at the site crane.
Standardize the quality requirements flowdown so every fabricator builds to the same bar.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've done quality assurance in steel fabrication: welds, dimensions, coatings.
You read weld procedure specifications and structural drawings fluently.
You've rejected fabricated work and managed the schedule fallout it caused.
You bring shops up to standard rather than just documenting that they miss it.
Bonus: AWS CWI certification. AISC-certified shop experience. NDE methods. Modular construction QA.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
