Supplier Quality Engineer, Electrical
About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
How We Operate
Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The Supply Chain Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Supply compute at a scale of 10s to 100s of GWs, the largest build out of compute in history. Qualify and dual-source across every critical equipment category, with lead-time and capacity thresholds tied directly to the forward build pipeline.
Make supply chain the reason we build faster than anyone. Our modular build redefines speed in this industry, and it lives or dies on supply chain. Keep procurement permanently off the critical path so schedule compression stays our advantage, not our constraint.
Build the most accurate supply chain prediction modelling that exists. Use the frontier of AI to forecast lead times, demand, and disruption with a precision the industry has never had, and turn that foresight into a structural edge.
Role Scope
Own supplier quality for electrical equipment: switchgear, transformers, UPS, and busway from qualification through delivery.
Run factory audits and witness testing (FAT, routine tests) at electrical OEM facilities worldwide.
Set inspection and test requirements into purchase orders so quality is contractual, not assumed.
Drive corrective action on escapes, and track supplier quality data that feeds back into award decisions.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've done supplier quality or witness testing for major electrical equipment.
You read electrical test reports critically and know which passing numbers deserve a second look.
You've held OEMs to test standards when schedule pressure argued for waiving them.
You travel to factories readily and use the trips well.
Bonus: IEEE and ANSI switchgear standards. Transformer testing. UPS and battery systems. NETA or NICET credentials.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Examples of key problems the team is working on
Stand up the commissioning program for 10s to 100s of GWs of capacity this decade.
Run commissioning and QA-QC for first-of-a-kind modular data centers.
Automate Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning.
Role Scope
Commission electrical distribution from utility interface to rack: switchgear, UPS, generators, and EPMS from Level 2 through Level 5.
Write and run test scripts covering protection, transfer schemes, and failure scenarios at full load.
Oversee NETA testing and vendor startups, verifying results rather than filing them.
Run integrated systems tests proving the site rides through utility events the way the design says it will.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've commissioned electrical systems on mission critical facilities through pull-the-plug testing.
You read one-lines, protection studies, and coordination curves, and catch errors in them.
You've run load bank testing at megawatt scale.
You hold vendors to test standards under schedule pressure.
Bonus: MV and HV systems. EPMS platforms. Protective relay testing. PE license.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Construction Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Put gigawatts in the ground, faster than anyone has. We're delivering one of the largest data center buildouts of its kind, with many sites running at once. Traditional construction management breaks at this scale, so we're building the model that replaces it.
Throw out traditional construction and invent how gigawatts get built. Tons of tools, layers of process, and administrative drag don't get you there. You'll strip all of that out and win by solving the real problem and beating the goal, not by managing toward it.
Productize the data center so we can build it a thousand times. You'll turn one-off construction into a repeatable, modular build, where the hundredth site goes up faster and cleaner than the first. That repeatability is the only way to reach the scale we're targeting.
Role Scope
Run construction operations across multiple concurrent gigawatt-scale sites: schedule, cost, quality, and safety in one view.
Set the operating rhythm between GCs, self-perform crews, and internal teams so blockers surface weeks before they hit the critical path.
Standardize the construction playbook across sites so the tenth build runs faster and cleaner than the first.
Drive constructability feedback into design and manufacturing so field problems get engineered out at the source.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've run construction operations across multiple large industrial or mission critical projects at once.
You've held GCs to schedule on jobs where the schedule was called impossible.
You read a P6 schedule critically and spot the float that isn't real.
You've turned field lessons into standards other projects then had to follow.
You make decisions on incomplete information and own the outcome.
You'll travel 75% to active sites. This role runs from the field, not from a desk.
Bonus: Data center or semiconductor construction. Modular and prefab delivery. Design-build contracting. Self-perform experience.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Data Center Operations Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Operate at the scale of a nation, not a building. The fleet you run will draw more power than some countries, on the way to 10s to 100s of GWs.
Fly the plane while it's being built. Sites come online in pieces, and you keep the live ones running flawlessly while construction continues around them.
Write the playbook, don't inherit it. No prior operations org has run at this speed and scale, so the standards you set become the standard.
Role Scope
Stand up and run the fleet operations center that watches every site 24/7: alarms, tickets, escalations, and communications.
Own the incident management process end to end, from first alert to postmortem, across facility and compute events.
Write the runbooks, escalation trees, and severity definitions the whole fleet operates on.
Drive incident metrics (time to acknowledge, time to resolve, repeat rate) down with process and tooling, not headcount.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've run a NOC, GOC, or mission-control function and owned its performance numbers.
You've written incident processes that other people still use after you left.
You stay structured when several things break at once.
You write postmortems that change how the organization operates, not just what it apologizes for.
Bonus: Data center or utility operations center experience. PagerDuty or ServiceNow-class tooling. SRE-style incident frameworks.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Infrastructure Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Bring gigawatts of accelerators from first power-on to production. Facility availability to ready-for-service across thousands of racks per site, with a new data hall landing every few weeks.
Make rack qualification faster than the fleet grows. Firmware baselines, burn-in, and cluster validation proven on every rack before a customer workload touches it, at a pace that never becomes the critical path.
Scale by tooling, not headcount. Deployed megawatts grow severalfold next year while the team stays near-flat, because anything done twice by hand becomes software.
Role Scope
Own compute turn-up from facility availability to ready-for-service: the stretch after the network hands off and before customers run workloads.
Qualify racks at scale: establish firmware baselines, configure BMC and BIOS, run burn-in, and validate at node and cluster level across hundreds of racks per site on GPU and custom accelerator platforms.
Drive qualification through the base-management Kubernetes platform and provisioning stack (discovery, imaging, firmware updates, shared services), burning down qual queues with tooling rather than manual runs.
Triage hardware failures found in qualification: isolate to component, drive RMA and vendor escalation, and feed failure patterns back into the qual gates.
Run turn-up remotely by default, with on-site pulses of roughly a week per data hall as new halls reach facility availability, plus occasional overlapping-site weeks.
Partner with network deployment, ICT, data center operations, and hardware teams during turn-up windows, and support incident response on freshly-live capacity.
Ability to travel 30-40% of the time to our Data Centers and Labs, as needed.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've brought up server or GPU fleets at scale, hundreds of nodes or more, and taken them all the way to production.
You work deep in Linux and out-of-band management: BMC, IPMI, and Redfish are daily tools for you, not occasional lookups.
You've automated hardware workflows in Python or Go rather than clicking through them, and the second time you do anything by hand you turn it into software.
You've worked physically in data halls, racking, cabling, and swapping components, and you're just as effective acting as remote hands or directing them.
You triage failures methodically across hardware, firmware, and software, isolating the fault to a component before reaching for a fix.
You travel for turn-up windows when a new data hall comes online.
Bonus: Kubernetes-based bare-metal provisioning. Accelerator platform bringup (NVIDIA, AMD, or custom). Burn-in and stress harness design. DCIM and inventory tooling.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Data Center Design Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Lead the design, development, and execution of 10s to 100s of GWs of data centers this decade.
Drive the next generation of liquid cooling and electrical distribution systems.
Develop and scale first-of-a-kind modular data centers.
Influence behind-the-meter designs and planning for multi-GW campuses.
Role Scope
Own the geotechnical workstream across a multi-site, multi-state development portfolio, from early site screening through foundation design and construction support.
Scope and direct subsurface investigation programs: write geotechnical RFPs, manage boring and CPT campaigns and lab testing, and drive external geotechnical consultants from scope through final report.
Interpret subsurface data into design parameters and assign foundation systems, working directly with Structural on bearing capacity, settlement, expansive and collapsible soils, liquefaction, seismic site class, shallow versus deep foundations, and ground improvement (rigid inclusions, piles, surcharge or preload).
Set site earthwork and grading strategy with Civil: cut and fill balance, deep-fill and differential-settlement risk to pads, MV duct banks, substations, and roads, and the call between regrade, preload, and ground improvement.
Run geotechnical fatal-flaw screening during site selection and due diligence, catching karst, mine subsidence, abandoned oil and gas wells, uncontrolled fill, high groundwater, and expansive clay before they reach signing or schedule.
Coordinate with Environmental on groundwater, contamination, and Phase II findings that drive subsurface and foundation decisions, and manage geotechnical deliverables to protect IFC and construction dates.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don’t fit this role exactly, .
You've owned geotechnical engineering on large-scale site development, scoping boring programs and turning subsurface data into foundation design parameters.
You've made the foundation and ground-improvement call on difficult sites: deep fill, expansive clay, high groundwater, liquefaction, choosing among shallow foundations, piles, rigid inclusions, and surcharge.
You've directed external geotechnical consultants and labs from RFP through final report, and caught errors before they reached design or construction.
You've screened sites for geotechnical fatal flaws during due diligence and either killed or saved a site on the data.
You read a geotechnical report well enough to assign design actions and challenge a consultant's recommendations rather than rubber-stamp them.
You work shoulder to shoulder with structural, civil, and environmental engineers and translate subsurface conditions into grading, drainage, and foundation decisions without stalling the schedule.
Bonus: PE or GE license, or active pursuit. Data center, industrial, or heavy-civil site development. Deep foundation and ground-improvement design. Seismic site response. Multi-state experience.
Offers equity in the form of stock options.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Finance Team
Build and scale the tax function from scratch, across multiple international and state jurisdictions, before the company outgrows it. Entities, sites, and cross-border structures are multiplying faster than any tax playbook can keep up. The function, from income tax reporting to sales and use tax compliance on gigawatts of electricity and compute to the international structure holding it together, must be correctly built and efficiently scaled the first time around.
Own the full range of tax disciplines at a scale most practitioners never reach. Federal, international, state and local, and equity comp all converge on one business growing faster than the guidance anticipated. Reporting and first-principles work across every discipline must be accurate and timely.
Put tax on the critical path for hundreds of billions in capital. The financings and JVs powering 10s to 100s of GWs turn on partnership allocations, basis step-ups, withholding, and incentive credits that have to close in lockstep with capital and gigawatts coming online. Deals must be structured correctly and efficiently, not cleaned up after the fact.
Role Scope
Lead the quarterly and annual global income tax provision under ASC 740, calculating effective tax rate, deferred taxes, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions.
Prepare and review public-filings ready tax footnotes and disclosures, and reconcile return-to-provision differences across every tax account.
Oversee U.S. federal, state, international income tax, and indirect tax compliance, managing external tax providers and global advisors across multiple operating entities.
Own SOX internal controls over tax reporting and lead the company's response to IRS and state and local tax authority examinations and information requests.
Partner with FP&A and Treasury to forecast cash taxes and model the tax impact of strategic business decisions.
Oversee and streamline the global and state and local indirect tax compliance process.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've built your 10+ year tax career inside a Big 4 firm or a large multinational corporate tax department, where you owned the technical work rather than just reviewing it.
You are a Certified Public Accountant.
You've personally run ASC 740 income tax provisions end to end, including effective tax rate, deferred tax, valuation allowance, and uncertain tax position calculations, under audit scrutiny.
You've prepared tax disclosures that made it into a filed 10-K or 10-Q and held up under external audit review.
You've led a tax authority examination, IRS or state and local, from the first information request through resolution.
You've managed SOX controls over a tax function and can point to specific controls you personally designed or remediated.
Bonus: Master's in Taxation. Large ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle). Indirect tax expertise. Hands-on tax automation or technology implementation. Experience mentoring or building out a tax team.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Build Fluidstack's entire FP&A function from zero, fast enough to keep pace with one of the fastest-growing infrastructure companies in AI. No inherited process, no legacy model. You'll stand up the annual operating plan, forecasting cadence, and long-range financial model across every business unit and geography while the company is still moving too fast to wait for it.
Turn gigawatt-scale operational complexity into a financial story the board and investors can act on. Capital allocation and growth investment decisions run through your numbers, and as Fluidstack moves toward IPO readiness, the reporting bar goes from "good enough for a private company" to public-company grade.
Own the P&L bridge end to end, across Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Finance. Nobody hands you clean numbers. You build the systems (NetSuite integration, KPI dashboards, real-time performance visibility) that make variance analysis and business partnership possible at a company scaling this fast.
Role Scope
Build and maintain the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast models across business units, consolidating inputs from Engineering, Operations, and Sales into a single set of numbers leadership can act on.
Contribute to monthly variance analysis and the P&L bridge, tracing where actuals diverge from plan down to the specific line item before it becomes a surprise in a leadership review.
Build financial models and scenario analyses that pressure-test capital allocation and growth investment decisions alongside the FP&A leadership team.
Maintain KPI frameworks and financial performance dashboards, pulling and reconciling data from NetSuite and other systems so leadership has real-time visibility into business health.
Prepare board and investor reporting materials, turning complex operational data into a clear financial narrative.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've built three-statement financial model forecasts and can walk someone through every assumption without hesitation.
You have strong financial acumen and can write and present numbers clearly enough that a non-finance stakeholder gets the takeaway in one read.
You move fast in Excel or Google Sheets, comfortable building or updating a model under a same-day deadline rather than polishing one indefinitely.
Bonus: Experience in the data center, infrastructure, AI/ML, or other capital-intensive sectors. Pigment experience.

Industrial Engineer
-
Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The Logistics Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Decide what happens next to every piece of material before it leaves the dock. Every part is staged onsite, an hour out, or twelve hours out, and getting that call wrong stalls a build or burns money on space nobody needed. You will build the disposition strategy that makes that call for every material category, at every site.
Replace outsourced warehousing with a network we own. Fluidstack is exiting third-party logistics warehousing entirely and standing up its own facilities and processes in its place, at the pace the build requires.
-
Build the systems from scratch instead of inheriting someone else's. No commercial platform anticipates a gigawatt-scale, multi-site build, so you will help build and integrate the warehouse, inventory, and transportation management systems that run it, wired together instead of stitched with workarounds.
Role Scope
Design pick, pack, receiving, and RMA workflows for each site's warehouse layout, optimizing for travel distance, throughput, and dock-to-floor time.
Run time and motion studies on warehouse and dock processes, and use the data to set the standard work each site trains against.
Model rack, dock door, and staging layouts for new and existing sites, balancing throughput against real estate cost.
Build the process documentation and standard work instructions that let a new site ramp to full productivity in weeks, not months.
-
Partner with the WMS and IMS system build teams to make sure new tooling matches the physical workflow, not the other way around.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've designed or re-designed a warehouse layout and can point to the throughput or cost improvement it produced.
You've run a time and motion study and turned it into a standard work instruction that a new hire could follow on day one.
You've modeled dock, rack, or staging capacity against real operational data, not rule-of-thumb assumptions.
You've partnered with a systems team to make sure new software matched a real physical process instead of forcing the process to bend to the software.
You get to a site, watch how work actually happens, and find the waste that nobody built a report to catch.
-
Bonus: Lean Six Sigma or industrial engineering background. Experience in data center, manufacturing, or high-throughput distribution environments. Familiarity with warehouse simulation or layout modeling tools.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
-
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
