The Security & Corp IT Team
The Security & Corp IT team protects the infrastructure behind the largest AI compute buildout in history, from corporate endpoints to the environments running frontier AI workloads.
Examples of key problems the team is working on:
Build detection and response coverage across corporate, cloud, and data center environments that are growing faster than any off-the-shelf playbook assumes.
Secure the systems and networks that frontier AI labs depend on, where downtime and compromise both carry real cost.
Stand up security tooling, identity, and endpoint management for a company that adds people, sites, and vendors every month.
Turn incident learnings and threat intel into durable detection logic instead of one-off fixes.
Role Scope
Own the detection engineering program end to end: threat modeling, detection design, deployment, tuning, and retirement, with coverage mapped to MITRE ATT&CK and gaps documented rather than assumed away.
Build detection-as-code pipelines so every rule is version-controlled, tested, and peer-reviewed before it ships, and false-positive rates are measured, not guessed.
Run threat hunts against real adversary behavior in our cloud, SaaS, and data center environments, and convert findings into repeatable detections.
Drive SIEM and EDR pipeline health: log source onboarding, normalization, and alert quality good enough that on-call responders trust what pages them.
Lead triage and response for the alerts you build, and close out incidents with root-cause writeups that change the detection stack, not just the ticket queue.
Build automation that removes manual triage steps, so the team's alert load scales slower than the company does.
What We're Looking For

5+ years in detection engineering or threat hunting inside a mature security operations org (cloud-native infrastructure, SaaS, or fintech).
Deep hands-on experience with SIEM and EDR tooling: Splunk, Elastic, CrowdStrike, or equivalent, including query languages and pipeline tuning, not just console use.
You've written and maintained detection logic mapped to MITRE ATT&CK against real adversary behavior, and you can point to detections that caught something.
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, SQL, or similar) and a detection-as-code workflow you'd defend: tests, review, and rollback included.
You know the difference between a noisy rule and a broken one, and you tune or kill detections before responders learn to ignore them.
You operate well with minimal process: you can scope your own work, ship without a mature SOC around you, and build the process you need as you go.
You write clearly enough that your runbooks and incident reports work when you're asleep.
Bonus: experience securing physical infrastructure or OT/data center environments, purple team experience, or contributions to open-source detection content (Sigma, detection rule repos).

The Security & Corp IT Team
The Security & Corp IT team protects the people, systems, and infrastructure behind the largest AI compute buildout in history.
Examples of key problems the team is working on:
Build detection and response coverage across cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), endpoint, and identity telemetry for a company whose attack surface spans corporate IT and gigawatt-scale data center infrastructure.
Run incident response end to end, from first alert through containment, remediation, and postmortem, without a large SOC to fall back on.
Stand up detection-as-code pipelines so every detection is versioned, tested, and deployed like software rather than hand-edited in a console.
Harden corp IT foundations (identity, device management, access) so security scales with headcount instead of lagging it.
Role Scope
Build the detection engineering function from the ground up: telemetry pipelines, detection content, alert routing, and response runbooks, with coverage you can defend against a threat model, not just a tool checklist.
Own detection-as-code end to end, writing detections across cloud and endpoint sources with tests, version control, and CI so a bad rule never ships silently.
Lead incident response for high-severity events, driving containment and root cause, and closing out each incident with detections that catch the same class of attack next time.
Drive automation of triage and enrichment in Python (or similar) so alert volume scales without proportional headcount.
Partner directly with leadership on security strategy, translating threat landscape and detection gaps into a prioritized roadmap with clear tradeoffs.
Work across corp IT and infrastructure teams to get the telemetry, logging, and access you need, and to fix the root causes your detections keep surfacing.
What We're Looking For

8+ years in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response, with time spent at a high-growth tech company, cloud-native infrastructure provider, or top-tier MDR/threat intel firm.
You've built or scaled a detection engineering function, not just operated inside one: you can point to the program, the pipeline, and the coverage that exist because of you.
Deep hands-on experience writing detections against cloud telemetry (AWS, GCP, or Azure control plane and audit logs) and endpoint telemetry (EDR event streams, OS-level signals).
Strong scripting and automation skills in Python or similar, enough to build and maintain detection-as-code pipelines yourself rather than spec them for someone else.
Incident response experience at a company operating at significant scale, where you led response under pressure and your postmortems changed how the company operates.
You operate as a technical lead without heavy management overhead: you set direction, make the calls, and do the work.
You work well across corp IT and infrastructure teams in a fast-moving environment, and you get telemetry and fixes shipped by making the case, not by escalating.

The Data Center Design Team

Role Scope
Own environmental and civil engineering for data center site development: stormwater, grading and drainage, erosion control, and environmental constraints, from first site walk through permits in hand.
Drive environmental permitting (SWPPP and construction stormwater, wetlands and waters permits, land disturbance approvals) through agencies and consultants on schedules measured in weeks.
Screen prospective sites for fatal flaws (wetlands, floodplains, protected species habitat, contamination findings) before the company commits capital, and kill bad sites early.
Manage third-party civil and environmental consultants, holding deliverables to schedule and rejecting work that isn't permit-ready.
Coordinate civil design (grading, site utilities, roads, drainage) with structural and architectural scopes so site packages issue complete and build without rework.

You've taken industrial or large commercial sites through environmental permitting yourself: you wrote or directed the SWPPP, the delineations, and the applications, and agencies approved them.
You've screened raw land for development risk and made the call that saved a project from a fatal flaw.
You've worked directly with regulators (the Corps, state environmental agencies, county authorities) and secured approvals without slipping the schedule.
You've managed AE and environmental consultants and sent work back when it wasn't ready.
You read grading and drainage plans fluently and redline them with specifics, elevations and pipe sizes rather than general comments.
You've sequenced environmental compliance against construction speed, satisfying the permit while keeping the site moving.

You keep drawing sets internally airtight: callouts resolve, matchlines align, and every referenced detail exists.
You've worked deadlines where a missed submittal slips a permit, and the sheet was ready.
You've set up or maintained CAD standards that other drafters followed.

The Data Center Operations Team
The Data Center Operations team keeps live, mission-critical facilities running while the buildings around them are still being built.
Examples of key problems the team is working on:
Operate 480V to 15kV+ electrical distribution, generators, switchgear, and UPS systems in facilities running live AI training workloads where downtime is not an option.
Run safe switching, lockout/tagout, and energization procedures in buildings where construction, commissioning, and production operations overlap on the same electrical systems.
Build the operating procedures, emergency response playbooks, and operator training programs for facilities that are scaling faster than any standard runbook covers.
Drive incident response and root-cause analysis on electrical events so the same failure never takes capacity offline twice.
Role Scope
Own day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of medium and high-voltage electrical distribution, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and associated protection and controls, in live data center environments.
Run switching operations, lockout/tagout, and energization work to NFPA 70E and arc flash standards, with documentation rigorous enough to stand up to a safety audit.
Lead electrical incident response on shift and on call, isolating faults, restoring power, and producing root-cause reports that change how the facility is operated.
Build and maintain SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for electrical systems, and keep them accurate as new capacity comes online.
Drive alarm monitoring and response through BMS and EPMS platforms, tuning thresholds and escalation paths so real problems surface before they become outages.
Train and mentor junior operators to the point where they can run switching and response procedures without you in the room.
What We're Looking For

You've spent years operating and troubleshooting 480V to 15kV+ electrical distribution equipment hands-on in live hyperscale or large colocation data centers.
You have deep working experience with generators, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, and the BMS/EPMS platforms that monitor them.
You know NFPA 70E, arc flash boundaries, and lockout/tagout procedures well enough to write them, enforce them, and catch a shortcut before it becomes an incident.
You have a track record of shift-based or on-call critical facility operations, and you've been the person who restores power at 3am.
You operate independently. Given a new facility with incomplete documentation, you build the procedures rather than wait for them.
You've trained junior operators and can raise a team's standard, not just your own output.
You're comfortable running live operations inside an active build environment where construction and commissioning share the floor with production load.
Bonus: NETA certification, journeyman or master electrician license, or commissioning experience on greenfield data center electrical systems.

The Data Center Operations Team
The Data Center Operations team keeps Fluidstack's AI data centers running around the clock, operating the mechanical, electrical, and controls systems that keep gigawatt-scale infrastructure online for frontier AI workloads.
Examples of key problems the team is working on:
Operate live chiller plants, CRAC/CRAH units, and direct-to-chip liquid cooling loops at densities where minutes of cooling loss mean thermal shutdown of GPU clusters.
Build preventive and predictive maintenance programs that scale across new sites without adding downtime or headcount linearly.
Take mechanical systems from commissioning handover to steady-state operations on compressed schedules, closing punch-list and performance gaps before they become incidents.
Run root-cause analysis on mechanical failures and feed corrective actions back into design, operating procedures, and spare parts strategy.
Role Scope
Own mechanical operations on shift as the top escalation point for chiller plant, CRAC/CRAH, air handler, pump, and cooling loop failures in a live, always-on facility.
Run preventive maintenance execution end to end: scheduling, vendor supervision, lockout/tagout, and QA of completed work, with records rigorous enough to survive a customer or owner audit.
Lead root-cause analysis for mechanical incidents and drive corrective actions to closure, including procedure updates, setpoint changes, and spare parts adjustments.
Build and maintain operating procedures (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs) for mechanical systems, and drill them so any operator on shift can execute under failure conditions.
Drive BMS alarm hygiene and trend analysis so degrading equipment gets caught and fixed before it trips, not after.
Close out commissioning-to-operations handovers for new mechanical plant, verifying performance against design before accepting systems into the maintenance program.
What We're Looking For

8+ years of hands-on mechanical or critical facilities operations in data centers, with time at a hyperscale operator, colocation provider, or cloud data center operations team.
Deep operating knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH units, air handlers, pumps, and hydronic loops, including startup, failover, and recovery under load.
Fluency in BMS platforms: reading trends, tuning alarms, and diagnosing faults from controls data rather than waiting for equipment to fail.
A track record owning root-cause analysis and preventive maintenance programs at scale, not just executing tickets someone else wrote.
Experience as the senior mechanical escalation point on shift, making calls during outages when the runbook runs out.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and carry on-call responsibility for mechanical outages.
You operate calmly in high-uptime, fast-scaling environments where the plant you ran last quarter is half the size of the one you run now.
Bonus: experience with direct-to-chip liquid cooling and CDUs, CFC/HCFC refrigerant certification (EPA 608 Universal or equivalent), or a role in commissioning handover for new-build mechanical plant.

The R&D Team
Fluidstack's R&D organization designs the next generations of our data center product: modular builds, new cooling and power architectures, and the lab-to-field pipeline that turns prototypes into deployable capacity. Qualify the hardware the frontier runs on before it runs anywhere else. First samples of next-generation accelerators, switches, storage, and liquid cooling land here, and leave as production-ready platforms with runbooks the whole fleet inherits.
Compress silicon-to-production to weeks. The lab closes the gap between vendor sample and customer-ready gigawatt infrastructure, and every week cut here pulls the entire deployment curve forward.
Run the lab like a production site. Provisioning, telemetry, demand management, and liquid cooling mirror production architecture exactly, so a qualification pass in the lab is a deployment guarantee in the field.
Prove the power envelope nobody else will touch. Dynamic demand management lets AI compute deploy beyond nominal electrical capacity, and the lab validates the full detection-to-shutdown response chain that makes it safe.
Role Scope
Own the lab floor: rack-and-stack execution, structured copper and fiber cabling, hardware installs and swaps, and part replacement on first-sample compute, network, and storage platforms, keeping asset records accurate through every change.
Receive and inventory every piece of equipment through the lab, handle RMAs end to end, and document installations and change activity physically and photographically so the record matches the floor.
Provide smart-hands support for remote engineering teams and hardware partners: cabling diagnosis and replacement, component reseats and swaps, console access, and the on-the-floor eyes that unblock a remote debug session.
Support liquid cooling work alongside deployment engineering, including CDU manifold connections and visual leak inspection, with the floor discipline that high-density liquid-cooled racks demand.
Act as first point of contact for facility-floor issues, escalating to the lab's technical leads, and escort vendors and partners during on-site visits while keeping their equipment, access, and confidentiality boundaries clean.
What We're Looking For

You've deployed and supported server and network hardware in a live data center or hardware lab: racked it, cabled it, fixed it, and kept it running.
You troubleshoot server hardware deeply: POST, BIOS, PXE, IPMI, BMC, and component-level repair.
You know network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet) and hardware (switches, routers, copper and fiber) well enough to diagnose physical-layer faults yourself.
You work comfortably in Linux for hands-on diagnosis and recovery at the console.

Overview:
We are hiring AI Software Engineers to serve as an internal force multiplier, building tools that make every team member significantly more productive. In this role, you will develop and deploy AI-powered applications and establish shared infrastructure that enables teams to leverage AI effectively. You'll work directly with engineering, product, operations, and business teams to identify high-impact opportunities for AI augmentation, then ship tools that drive measurable productivity gains. Responsibilities:
Build internal tools and applications leveraging frontier models to automate workflows, accelerate decision-making, and reduce manual toil across all functions
Design and maintain shared AI infrastructure including AGENTS.md and SKILLS.md, and build shared skills for the organization
Integrate AI capabilities into existing products and internal tools, identifying where augmentation delivers measurable impact
Build custom integrations between LLMs and internal systems (GitHub, Slack, Notion, JIRA, Salesforce, internal APIs)
Stay current with rapidly evolving AI capabilities and proactively identify new opportunities to apply emerging techniques to organizational challenges
Create documentation and provide support to enable teams to adopt and extend the tools you build
Requirements:
3+ years of software engineering experience with production-grade code in Go, Python, and TypeScript (but also the ability to work in an arbitrary language, primarily using AI coding tools to drive)
Strong full-stack development skills with experience building web applications (React, Next.js, or similar frameworks)
Hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models), creating and using MCP servers, and agentic frameworks
Deep understanding of AI coding agent tools including Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, etc., and agent frameworks around them
Proven ability to work autonomously (and get their agents to work autonomously for them): identifying problems, designing solutions, and shipping results with minimal direction and high impact
Great product and design taste: as the barrier to building gets lower, taste matters more
Strong systems thinking and product intuition to balance rapid iteration with building maintainable, scalable foundations that others can build off
