About the Role
As Cost Lead, you will own cost management across our data center portfolio — from early-stage budgeting and estimating through construction and final account. You'll set up process where it doesn't exist, build benchmarks from scratch, and serve as the Cost Lead of our delivery program. You'll work closely with project managers, A/E design teams, GCs, and other Leads to keep every project on-budget and every decision grounded in credible numbers.
Own cost planning across all project phases — from concept and pre-design through construction documents and GMP negotiation
Develop detailed estimates for civil, structural, MEP, HV/LV power, cooling, fuel systems, and shell construction
Maintain real-time cost forecasts across all active projects; track actuals vs. budget and surface variances early
Own change order review: assess scope validity, commercial accuracy, and contract entitlement before recommending approval
Prepare executive-level cost reports across the portfolio — clear, scannable, exception-based
Manage contingency tracking and cost risk registers across project phases
Lead value engineering exercises with design and construction teams to optimise cost without compromising scope or schedule
Support GC and subcontractor procurement: bid leveling, scope gap analysis, and contract negotiation input
Advise on contract structure and commercial risk allocation across delivery models
Build the cost management function from the ground up: tools, templates, workflows, and reporting cadence
Establish and maintain a unit cost benchmark database covering key DC cost categories — from $/MW to equipment and trade breakdowns
Contribute to precon planning on new sites, including order-of-magnitude estimates to support site selection and investment decisions
Qualifications:
Experience with cost management, quantity surveying, or construction estimating
Meaningful hands-on experience on data center or mission-critical construction — hyperscale, colo, or large-scale build-to-suit
Owner-side experience strongly preferred; GC or QS consulting backgrounds considered if DC domain knowledge is deep
Deep understanding of the DC cost stack: civil, structural, MEP, HV/LV power, cooling (CRAC/CRAH, DLC, immersion), emergency power, and IT fit-out
Understands how design decisions — power density, redundancy tier, cooling strategy — translate directly to capital cost
Comfortable benchmarking at $/MW, $/SF, and $/kW; knows what drives variation between projects
Strong change order discipline: can assess pricing validity, identify scope gaps, and document entitlement
Familiar with GMP, lump sum, and cost-plus contract structures
Proficient with cost management tooling (Procore, Sage, or equivalent); can build process from scratch
Degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field
Builder mindset — comfortable setting up function and process where little exists, and operating with urgency in a fast-moving program

The Supply Chain Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Supply compute at a scale of 10s to 100s of GWs, the largest build out of compute in history. Qualify and dual-source across every critical equipment category, with lead-time and capacity thresholds tied directly to the forward build pipeline.
Make supply chain the reason we build faster than anyone. Our modular build redefines speed in this industry, and it lives or dies on supply chain. Keep procurement permanently off the critical path so schedule compression stays our advantage, not our constraint.
Build the most accurate supply chain prediction modelling that exists. Use the frontier of AI to forecast lead times, demand, and disruption with a precision the industry has never had, and turn that foresight into a structural edge.
Role Scope
Own the end-to-end strategy for sourcing, onboarding, and sustaining the contractor workforce and site services that keep Fluidstack's sites running across multiple states.
Build and manage a multi-tier supplier network for contract labor: low-voltage electricians, CDU install and maintenance techs, facilities ops, security integrators and guard services, structured cabling crews, and general site trades.
Develop preferred-supplier lists and MSA/SOW frameworks with pre-negotiated rate cards and qualification standards for rapid mobilization at new sites.
Manage union-jurisdiction awareness (IBEW, NECA) and compliance with prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and local labor agreements.
Source and negotiate workforce support services (crew housing, catering, transportation, PPE) with volume agreements that scale as site headcount moves through project phases.
Partner with Recruiting on contract-to-hire pipelines, and build local workforce-development programs (community colleges, apprenticeships, DOL Registered Apprenticeship) that grow trades capacity where Fluidstack operates.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've sourced and managed contract labor and trades at scale for construction, data center, or industrial operations across multiple sites.
You know how to mobilize a skilled workforce fast: rate cards, MSA/SOW frameworks, and qualification standards that travel to new sites.
You understand union jurisdictions and labor compliance (prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon) well enough to keep a multi-state buildout clean.
You've procured site-support services (lodging, food, transport, PPE) under fluctuating headcount.
You partner across DC Ops, Construction, Recruiting, and Finance, and you've built contractor-to-hire or workforce-development programs.
Bonus: Skilled-trades or construction labor sourcing. Liquid cooling / CDU or high-density power trades. Apprenticeship or workforce-grant programs. Multi-site hyperscale buildouts.

The Security Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
You're securing the frontier of AI. The model weights training on our infrastructure are the most valuable and most targeted artifacts in technology, and we're standing up the compute to hold them faster than anyone ever has. A breach isn't a leak, it's the frontier walking out the door.
Build the entire security program from scratch. Most leaders inherit someone else's system and spend a career patching it. Here you own it end to end, bare metal to boardroom, as we scale across continents.
Your threat surface is measured in gigawatts. The customers running on our infrastructure are building the most consequential technology in human history, and being responsible for the physical and logical security of that work makes everything else feel small.
Role Scope
Be the hands-on technical owner of the systems and pipelines that make the security program run: SIEM and data-warehouse architecture, data ingestion and enrichment, and security tool engineering across IT, OT, cloud, and bare metal.
Design, deploy, and operate security tooling and data infrastructure: log-source onboarding, detection engineering, alert tuning, and pipeline management across IT and OT.
Architect and maintain the security data platform: ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and routing of telemetry from endpoints, network, cloud, OT/ICS, and physical security tooling.
Build and manage integrations across EDR, vulnerability management, SOAR, CASB, and identity platforms.
Embed security into the software development lifecycle: CI/CD pipeline security, secrets management, artifact integrity, and review of security-relevant changes.
Build tooling for automated security-data collection and quality validation, and partner with network, infrastructure, and IT teams to keep instrumentation complete across multi-site facilities.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've designed, implemented, and maintained security infrastructure and tooling, and you want to build a modern stack from the ground up rather than maintain what exists.
You know security system architecture and work fluently with cloud and virtualization technologies.
You build and operate security data pipelines (ingestion, normalization, enrichment, routing) across diverse source types.
You integrate security tools (EDR, vuln management, SOAR, identity) and embed security into CI/CD.
You collaborate across technical teams to make instrumentation complete and accurate everywhere.
Bonus: SIEM and security data-lake architecture. Detection engineering. OT/ICS security. Infrastructure-as-code and pipeline automation.

About the People Team
The People team at Fluidstack exists to support our mission of building the world’s best place to do your life’s best work.
We design and operate the systems, environments, and partnerships that allow talented people to focus on meaningful problems. Our work spans from the infrastructure that keeps the organization running cleanly, to the lifecycle moments that shape employee experience, to the support that helps managers and leaders do their best work.
We care deeply about how things happen, not just whether they happen.
Why This Role Exists
Fluidstack’s leadership team is growing, and so is the coordination overhead that comes with it. This role exists to give executives back the bandwidth currently absorbed by scheduling, logistics, and communication triage, so they can focus on the decisions that matter most.
About the Role
You will provide high-leverage, thoughtful support to Fluidstack leadership by owning calendar management, travel logistics, meeting preparation, and communication triage. The goal is to free up executive bandwidth currently absorbed by coordination work and to do it with the kind of care and attention that makes leaders genuinely more effective.
This is a shared-services model with dedicated coverage at the exec level. You will work closely with other EAs to ensure continuity and coverage across the leadership team. The best EA teams nurture each other; we expect the same here.
The role is not administrative busywork. You’re a force multiplier: anticipating needs, removing friction, and ensuring executives spend their time on the work that matters most.
What You Will Do
First 30 Days
Complete onboarding and shadow your assigned executive(s) to understand priorities, preferences, and communication style.
Take over calendar management: learn recurring commitments, meeting cadences, and scheduling principles.
Map the executive’s key relationships and recurring touchpoints so you can start anticipating needs.
Establish a working rhythm with your executive(s): how you communicate, what requires approval vs. what you can handle independently.
By 60 Days
Own all scheduling, travel, and logistics end-to-end with minimal oversight.
Coordinate with other EAs to ensure coverage, prevent conflicts, and share institutional knowledge.
Begin managing meeting preparation: agendas, pre-reads, follow-up actions.
Proactively flag scheduling conflicts, overloaded weeks, or gaps in the calendar before they become problems.
By 90 Days
Your executive trusts you to manage their time and logistics without hand-holding.
You have a clear system for prioritization, communication triage, and escalation.
-
You’ve identified at least one process or system improvement that makes the EA function more effective across the team.
What We Are Looking For
Intense curiosity about how leaders work and what makes them most effective.
Kindness and thoughtfulness in how you interact with everyone: executives, their teams, and external partners alike.
Clarity, approachability, and precision in communication. When you send a message on behalf of an executive, it reflects their voice and standards.
Deep care about the craft of support work. You take pride in the quality of what you do, even when no one sees it.
You have supported senior leaders before and understand what it means to manage someone’s time as carefully as they would themselves.
You exercise judgment about what matters, what can wait, and what to escalate. You don’t treat every request as equal priority.
You’re highly organized and reliable. Things don’t slip through the cracks.
Demonstrated experience in executive support. We’re not looking for a specific number of years, we’re looking for evidence that you’ve done this well.
-
We welcome candidates from operations, customer success, event management, chief of staff roles, or any background where managing complex logistics and stakeholder priorities were core to the work.
You’ll Thrive Here If You
Care about how things happen. The how is as important as the why. You easily ascertain how things ended up where they are and effectively plan how to move forward.
Enjoy anticipating needs. You find genuine satisfaction in solving a problem before someone knows they had one.
Care about the human. You’re supporting leaders, but you never forget they’re people first.
-
Want to make something really great. The bar is high, but so too is the opportunity to make a real difference in how this company operates.
What Additive Value Looks Like
Experience supporting C-suite or founders at a growth-stage company.
Comfort working across time zones and with distributed teams.
-
A track record of building EA systems (templates, SOPs, coordination tools) that scale beyond individual relationships.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
How We Operate
Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The People Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Build the people function from scratch, fast enough to keep up with 10x growth. We grew headcount 10x in the last year and we're not slowing down. You'll build the systems, programs, and team from nothing, and make them work before we outgrow them.
Reinvent people operations around AI. Doing this by hand doesn't scale to a workforce growing this fast on a team this lean. You'll put AI at the core of how the function runs, so a small team supports many times its number.
Own the culture and comms as the company scales. When a company scales this quickly, staying connected and aligned doesn't happen on its own. You'll own the internal comms, events, and rhythm that keep a multi-site team that's growing fast bound to a shared culture.
Role Scope
Own end-to-end onboarding execution, from offer acceptance through a new hire's first 30 days, coordinating EE Partners, IT, and Workplace so no step gets missed.
Run visa and immigration sponsorship for new and current employees, tracking petitions, renewals, and deadlines in partnership with outside counsel.
Coordinate employee relocations across offices and countries, managing vendors, timelines, and the details that determine whether a move lands cleanly or badly.
Run the performance management cycle end to end: calibration prep, cycle logistics, and the systems that keep managers and employees on schedule.
Maintain and evolve the leveling and ladder framework, keeping job architecture consistent as new roles and teams get added.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've owned an onboarding or immigration process end to end and can point to a specific case where your follow-through prevented a dropped ball.
You've navigated visa or immigration cases, or a similarly deadline-driven, high-stakes administrative process, and understand how much precision that work demands.
You've coordinated a relocation or logistics effort involving multiple vendors and stakeholders, and stayed the person accountable when something slipped.
You've supported or run a performance management cycle and know where the process actually breaks: missed deadlines, ambiguous ratings, unprepared managers.
You've worked with or helped build a leveling framework and can explain why job architecture matters beyond compensation.
You're reliable and organized. When you own a process, nothing gets dropped, and you can back that up with specifics.
Bonus: Familiarity with Rippling or similar HRIS platforms. Experience with multi-country or multi-entity employment administration. Background in a regulated industry where compliance rigor was non-negotiable.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
Total compensation may also include equity in the form of restricted stock units.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Accounting Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Build the financial infrastructure from the ground up (NetSuite, Zip, Shareworks, Pigment).
Stand up a lean finance org for the fastest-growing data center hyperscaler.
-
Own the full stack from vendor invoice to cap table.
Role Scope
Own the full-cycle general ledger function, from journal entries and account reconciliations through monthly financial statement preparation.
Run month-end and year-end close to schedule, coordinating with FP&A, Tax, and Operations so the books close without slipping deadlines.
Expand the chart of accounts and entity structure in NetSuite as new subsidiaries and currencies come online, without letting the ledger turn into a mess.
-
Support external audits end to end, preparing PBC schedules, answering auditor requests, and standing behind every number in the file.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've owned full-cycle general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financials, without a more senior accountant checking your work first.
You know US GAAP well enough to prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations yourself, and you catch a misclassification before it reaches the close.
You've worked inside NetSuite day to day, and you're fast and accurate in Excel when a reconciliation needs to happen outside the system.
You run multiple close cycles and deadlines at once without letting one slip because another one got hard.
You've worked inside a high-growth technology or infrastructure company, where the general ledger grows faster than the org chart.
You have working knowledge of accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and cost allocation.
Bonus: CPA license or equivalent professional accounting qualification. Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting experience. Direct experience supporting external audits and liaising with auditors. Exposure to intercompany accounting and consolidations.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
