Accounting, Director
About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and takes pride in running airtight operations.
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role overseeing multi-country payroll operations
Deep expertise in payroll accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes
Demonstrated experience managing payroll across multiple jurisdictions (U.S. required; international experience strongly preferred), including knowledge of local tax, labor, and statutory compliance requirements
Proven track record of building or significantly improving payroll processes and systems in a high-growth or scaling company
Strong proficiency with payroll platforms (e.g., Rippling, ADP, Workday, or equivalent) and HRIS integrations
Experience partnering with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure payroll data integrity and support audits
Preferred Qualifications:

About the Role
As Fluidstack scales rapidly to meet the demands of the world’s leading AI organizations, we are building the financial and operational rigor required of a public-company-ready organization. As a Manager, SOX - Business Process, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving the internal control environment that underpins our core business processes — from revenue and vendor operations to financial close and cross-functional workflows.
You will partner closely with Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations to embed controls into scalable systems, reduce risk, and ensure compliance without slowing down the business. This role requires a balance of technical SOX expertise and operational thinking, with a focus on building efficient, automated, and audit-ready processes in a fast-moving environment.
This is a high-impact, highly visible role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from zero to one, and can operate at the intersection of compliance, systems, and business operations as Fluidstack prepares for the next stage of growth.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or accounting, with hands-on involvement in building or operating internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
Strong understanding of SOX 404 requirements, including control design, documentation, and testing, ideally in a fast-paced or evolving environment.
Experience designing and implementing controls within core business processes (e.g., order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report), with a focus on scalability and automation.
Ability to identify process and control gaps in ambiguous environments and drive pragmatic, risk-based solutions.
Experience partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and Operations to embed controls into day-to-day workflows.
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive initiatives and manage multiple priorities in a high-growth setting.
Familiarity with process documentation and mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear and concise control documentation.
CPA required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience taking a company through a SOX readiness or pre-IPO journey, including building controls from the ground up.
Background in a high-growth technology, infrastructure, or AI/ML company.
Experience with ERP systems in evolving environments (e.g., NetSuite implementations or optimizations).
Experience working directly with external auditors and preparing for first-year SOX audits.
Track record of implementing automated or scalable controls in partnership with engineering or systems teams.
Comfortable operating in lean teams, with a willingness to roll up sleeves and execute.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

How We Operate
Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The Commercial Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Close gigawatt deals faster than anyone on the planet. The customers building frontier AI need capacity now, and the ones who lock it first win. You'll take deals from first conversation to signature at a pace the market can't match.
Sign 50+ GW of deals by the end of the decade. Every deal is measured in gigawatts, not megawatts, and the goal is to sign more capacity this decade than anyone in the market.
Own everything from LOI to site mobilization. No handoffs, no dropped context. You'll run the whole process, from a signed LOI through to mobilizing the site, and keep it moving the entire way.
Role Scope
Close billion-dollar transactions from LOI to signature in weeks across leases, colocation deals, EPC contracts, and utility commitments.
Quarterback every deal across legal, finance, engineering, networking, and construction with 15+ stakeholders and 5+ workstreams running in parallel.
Run the daily operating rhythm of syncs, decisions, escalations, and tracker updates that keeps every workstream aligned and surfaces issues weeks before they hit the schedule.
Operate with full trust from the CEO and senior leadership, making commitments on Fluidstack's behalf in rooms where the company's roadmap is being set.
Hand off signed agreements to delivery, deployment, and construction teams cleanly with no dropped terms and no surprises six months in.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've personally closed complex, multi-party deals where the precedent didn't exist and the playbook is something you wrote.
You've negotiated commercial terms against counterparties who don't share your urgency: utilities, EPCs, AHJs, design firms, customers.
You quarterback across legal, finance, engineering, and operations without losing momentum, and you're the person other teams call when a deal is stuck.
You write and speak clearly enough to distill a complex issue into a decision and a next step for a CEO, a counterparty, or a customer.
Deal tracking, documentation, and process discipline are habits, not afterthoughts. You don't lose terms in the noise of a 20-thread deal.
Bonus: Data center capacity deals (colo, powered shell, build-to-suit, wholesale, leases). AI infrastructure constraints. Utility and power market dynamics. EPC and design-firm contract structures.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The Construction Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Put gigawatts in the ground, faster than anyone has. We're delivering one of the largest data center buildouts of its kind, with many sites running at once. Traditional construction management breaks at this scale, so we're building the model that replaces it.
Throw out traditional construction and invent how gigawatts get built. Tons of tools, layers of process, and administrative drag don't get you there. You'll strip all of that out and win by solving the real problem and beating the goal, not by managing toward it.
Productize the data center so we can build it a thousand times. You'll turn one-off construction into a repeatable, modular build, where the hundredth site goes up faster and cleaner than the first. That repeatability is the only way to reach the scale we're targeting.
Role Scope
Lead pre-construction for large-scale GPU data center projects as we scale to multiple gigawatts, serving as the link between Real Estate, Design Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
Run constructability reviews of electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil designs, with focus on high-density power distribution (100+ kW per rack), liquid cooling, and utility interconnections.
Perform site evaluations (electrical capacity, utilities, civil and structural, phasing) and determine site-specific requirements that impact schedule, cost, and delivery.
Develop construction scope packages and RFPs, manage GC pre-construction services (bid reviews, schedule development, labor pricing, subcontractor evaluations), and negotiate with landlords, developers, and contractors.
Run construction cost analysis from conceptual through GMP, support budget updates, and validate estimates against market and historical data.
Build comprehensive handoff packages for Construction Managers, and partner with Contracts, Legal, and Commercial on contract terms and risk allocation.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've led pre-construction for large-scale data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
You run constructability reviews across electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil, with high-density power and liquid cooling in scope.
You perform site due diligence (geotechnical, utilities, zoning and permitting, logistics) and translate it into schedule and budget impact.
You develop scope packages and RFPs and manage GC pre-construction services and negotiations.
You run construction cost analysis from concept through GMP and keep estimates honest against the market.
Bonus: Hyperscale data center pre-construction. High-density power (100+ kW per rack) and liquid cooling. Modular or prefabricated delivery.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Talent Acquisition Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Deploy AI across the entire funnel. Use the latest models in every part of talent ops to find the best people in the world faster than any team has before. You won't bolt AI onto old processes; you'll rebuild recruiting around it.
Treat talent as the critical path. Every role we can't fill slows the whole company down. We need to figure out how to move faster than everyone else in market without ever dropping the bar; one wrong hire costs more than a slow one.
Build a brand the best want to join. Make Fluidstack a name top talent seeks out, not one we have to chase. You'll shape how the world's best engineers and operators hear about us, and why they say yes.
Role Scope
Map, find, and engage the top 0.01% of technical candidates in the world before anyone else knows they exist.
Map talent pools, competitive landscapes, and emerging technical communities into actionable intelligence on where exceptional candidates are and how to reach them.
Build and execute proactive sourcing strategies, independently or with TA Partners, to fill pipelines for multiple competing roles.
Operate as a data-driven function: track pipeline metrics, outreach conversion, and source effectiveness, and report pipeline health to recruiters and leadership.
Design and document sourcing playbooks, channel strategies, and talent maps that scale with the company.
Run ahead of the business, mapping future needs so Fluidstack always has a pipeline ready when roles open.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've personally built proactive sourcing pipelines that landed exceptional technical candidates, not backfilled reqs from inbound.
You map talent landscapes and turn them into intelligence that shapes hiring strategy.
You run outreach that converts the best passive talent, with messaging that earns a reply from people who weren't looking.
You work from data: conversion rates, source quality, pipeline health, and you refine your approach with it.
You build sourcing infrastructure (playbooks, talent maps) that outlasts any single search.
Bonus: Sourcing in AI, infrastructure, or deep-technical markets. Sourcing tooling and automation. Market-mapping or talent-intelligence work.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

The Data Center Operations Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Operate at the scale of a nation, not a building. The fleet you run will draw more power than some countries, on the way to 100 GW.
Fly the plane while it's being built. Sites come online in pieces, and you keep the live ones running flawlessly while construction continues around them.
Write the playbook, don't inherit it. No prior operations org has run at this speed and scale, so the standards you set become the standard.
Role Scope
Lead 24/7/365 operation of all critical infrastructure at your site: electrical distribution (UPS, generators, switchgear), mechanical and liquid cooling, fire/life safety, and building controls, accountable for availability against customer SLAs.
Own site safety in partnership with HSE, including hazardous energy control, electrical safety, and LOTO discipline across a mixed employee and contractor workforce.
Build and lead the full site team, facility operators alongside hardware and network operators, owning shift coverage, on-call rotations, performance, and development.
Run the hardware and network repair operation: own the ticket queues, drive triage, prioritization, break-fix, and RMA workflows, and hold time-to-repair against customer commitments as the fleet scales.
Run incident and change management for the site: lead severity response as the escalation point, deliver root cause analyses on 5 and 10 day clocks, and drive corrective actions that fix classes of problems, not instances.
Partner with construction, commissioning, colo providers, and utilities while the site is live and still being built, driving operational readiness, MOP and SOO rigor, and clean handover into operations.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've run 24/7 critical facility operations where availability was contractual, and you can walk through the incidents that tested it.
You know electrical and mechanical infrastructure deeply enough to dig into the details with your technicians: you've stood in front of switchgear or a CDU and known which questions to ask.
You've run a high-volume repair or break-fix operation, server fleets or network fabrics, where queue discipline and time-to-repair were the scoreboard.
You've built and developed technical teams through hiring, coaching, and hard performance calls, and your former reports would say you made them better.
You've operated procedure-based safety programs (LOTO, electrical safety, hazardous energy control) and held the line when schedule pressure pushed against them.
You've partnered with construction and commissioning teams during live builds and caught operational and safety gaps before they reached handover.
You write and present clearly enough to put an RCA or a status update in front of an executive or a customer without translation.
Bonus: Hyperscale or Tier III/IV facility experience. Trade certification or journeyman license (electrical, HVAC, controls). New-facility commissioning and operational readiness programs. CMMS/EAM systems. GPU cluster or high-performance network operations background.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Infrastructure Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Compress the install. Land and certify hundreds of thousands of fiber terminations per building in weeks, across multiple concurrent gigawatt builds.
Make quality a gate, not a hope. At AI scale, one dirty connector is a flapping link is a stalled training run. Every link tested, every loss budget proven, before the first GPU powers on.
-
Scale an LVC workforce faster than the market produces it. Build the playbooks, QA gates, and field standards that take a contractor crew from onboarding to first-pass-yield quality in days, and hold them to a hyperscale bar at speed.
Role Scope
Own the full lifecycle of physical installation projects: coordinate LVC schedules, run QA/QC on contractor work, and ensure installs meet design standards, safety codes, and labeling policy.
Serve as the primary on-site technical point of contact for the Low Voltage Contractor and internal engineering teams, and act as remote hands during deployment and validation.
Manage the LVC deployment schedule to milestones, coordinate access, material delivery, and staging with facility operations, and report progress and delays.
Run multi-stage QA inspections on rack placement, racking, cable routing, grounding, and labeling against the BoM and design documentation.
Conduct or oversee optical loss testing (OLTS), OTDR analysis, and insertion/return loss on all fiber links, and verify copper (Cat6a/Cat8) integrity with certified testers.
-
Act as the SME for fiber and structured cabling best practices (BICSI), generate final test reports, as-builts, and RCAs, and own closeout and handoff to operations.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You're an SME in fiber optics, structured cabling, and data center physical infrastructure, with hands-on deployment on mission-critical sites.
You run advanced fiber testing (OTDR, VFL, power meter) and know installation techniques and design standards cold.
You've racked, stacked, and cabled servers, network, and storage hardware at scale.
You read and translate technical drawings and schematics (AutoCAD, Visio), and drive projects to completion through ambiguity.
You'll travel 50% for onsite turn-ups, wherever the work is.
Bonus: BICSI RCDD or vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper). Hyperscale standardization programs. ITIL.

You find and engage talent others can't reach, through creative strategies, non-obvious channels, and outreach that converts.
You measure what matters (pipeline conversion, source quality, time-to-hire) and use it to make better decisions, not just report activity.
You hold an uncompromising bar. You know the difference between competent and exceptional and won't move off it.
Bonus: Technical recruiting in AI, infrastructure, or deep-technical markets. High-growth or zero-to-one TA environments. Sourcing craft and tooling.

Network Engineer, Deployment
The Infrastructure Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Turn up gigawatts at the speed of light. First rack to full fabric convergence across tens of thousands of links in weeks, at a new site every few months.
Automate yourself out of the cutsheet. ZTP every device, machine-validate every link, and burn down turn-up queues with tooling instead of headcount. Anything done twice by hand becomes software.
Make handoff mean flawless. Every optic clean, every link error-tested, every config golden before a training job ever touches the fabric. At this scale, “close enough” is an outage.
Role Scope
Deploy and validate data center network infrastructure (front-end, back-end, BMS, management): configure switches, install and validate optics, coordinate cabling, and drive deployments to completion.
Ensure physical connectivity meets production standards: coordinate fiber remediation, validate insertion loss and OTDR traces, troubleshoot optical-layer issues, and document as-builts.
Manage hardware logistics: device staging, rack/stack coordination, RMA, DCIM updates, inventory, and vendor shipments so devices are ready when deployments need them.
Partner with DC Operations, ICT, Hardware, and Network Engineering to identify blockers early, escalate decisively, and keep multi-team efforts on track.
Maintain cutsheets, as-builts, validation results, and lessons learned, and contribute to the deployment playbook that lets the team scale.
Provide operational support during and after deployments: incident response, troubleshooting, and break-fix.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've done hands-on data center network engineering and understand modern fabrics (EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, CLOS), having configured production infrastructure.
You thrive in the field, equally comfortable pulling cable, configuring switches, and troubleshooting the optical layer, and you execute with whatever tooling is available.
You troubleshoot methodically across physical and logical layers: OTDR traces, insertion loss, BGP sessions, and connectivity through complex topologies.
You communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams, document well, and follow through.
You learn fast and take ownership of ramping on new technology, and you'll travel 50 to 60% to onsite deployments.
Bonus: AI fabric turn-up experience. Configuration management and automation tooling. Vendor certifications.

The Accounting Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Build the financial infrastructure from the ground up (NetSuite, Zip, Shareworks, Pigment).
Stand up a lean finance org for the fastest-growing data center hyperscaler.
-
Own the full stack from vendor invoice to cap table.
Role Scope
Own the general ledger function end to end, overseeing journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statement preparation as the entity structure grows.
Lead month-end and year-end close, setting the calendar and holding FP&A, Tax, and Operations to it so the books close on time every cycle.
Partner directly with finance leadership and external auditors to keep internal controls tight and the company audit-ready.
-
Build and refine accounting processes and controls as Fluidstack scales, replacing manual workarounds before they become the bottleneck.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, .
You've owned the general ledger function for a company, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financials, without a controller reviewing every entry first.
You've led month-end or year-end close yourself, holding FP&A, Tax, and cross-functional partners to a calendar instead of chasing them after the fact.
You know US GAAP well enough to make the accrual, cutoff, and capitalization calls yourself, and you can explain them clearly to an auditor.
You've found a broken accounting process midstream and rebuilt it before it slowed down the close.
You work inside NetSuite daily and you're fast and accurate in Excel for anything the system can't handle.
You've supported or led an ERP or accounting system implementation, migration, or upgrade, doing hands-on configuration and testing yourself.
You run multiple close cycles, audits, and process changes at once without dropping one when another gets hard.
You hold a CPA license or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Bonus: Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting experience. Experience at a high-growth technology or infrastructure company. Direct experience supporting external audits and liaising with auditors. Exposure to intercompany accounting and consolidations.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
