Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Chassis Fabrication
About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
How We Operate
Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
Role Scope
Own manufacturing engineering for chassis fabrication: the processes turning steel into module frames at takt.
Develop the process plans: routings, work instructions, fixtures, and cycle times for weld-heavy fabrication.
Launch new lines and product revisions: PFMEAs, capability runs, and ramp curves you own.
Drive yield and cost: scrap, rework, and cycle time attacked with data weekly.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've been the manufacturing engineer for heavy fabrication or weldment production.
You've launched fabrication lines or major process changes to rate.
You write work instructions operators actually use.
You run PFMEAs that predict the real failures.
You've cut cycle time on a process everyone said was optimized.
Bonus: Welding process depth. Fixture design. Tekla or CAD fluency. Takt-based production systems.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Own reliability engineering for the reference design: availability modeled, weak points found, and fixes engineered before deployment.
Build the RAM models: failure rates, redundancy, and maintainability quantified per configuration.
Run FMEAs across disciplines: failure modes cataloged and designed out with the engineering teams.
Close the loop with the fleet: field failures fed back into models and design changes.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've done reliability engineering for infrastructure, energy, or complex hardware.
You've built availability models decision-makers used.
You've led cross-discipline FMEAs that changed designs.
You mine field data for the truth about failure rates.
You argue redundancy trade-offs in dollars and nines.
Bonus: Data center topologies. RAM modeling software. Weibull analysis. Maintenance strategy design.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

The Accounting Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Build the financial infrastructure from the ground up (NetSuite, Zip, Shareworks, Pigment).
Stand up a lean finance org for the fastest-growing data center hyperscaler.
Own the full stack from vendor invoice to cap table.
Role Scope
Own the monthly and quarterly close and the financial statements the board, auditors, and investors rely on.
Build the technical accounting positions, including revenue recognition, leases, and capitalization, for a company deploying billions in data center infrastructure.
Stand up financial reporting on new systems, including NetSuite, Zip, Shareworks, and Pigment, as the finance stack is built from the ground up.
Run the external audit and keep it clean while the business scales 10x around it.
Turn the close from a scramble into a fast, controlled process a lean team can run.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've owned the close and produced financial statements that survived audit and board scrutiny.
You've built technical accounting positions from scratch and defended them to auditors.
You've stood up or migrated a reporting stack, from ERP to close to reporting tools, and made it work.
You've run an external audit and kept it clean through a period of fast growth or added complexity.
You've compressed a close cycle and tightened controls without adding headcount to do it.
You write accounting memos clearly enough that a non-accountant executive can act on the conclusion.
Bonus: CPA. Big Four or high-growth infrastructure or hardware accounting. Data center, energy, or capital-intensive business models. NetSuite, Pigment, or similar stack implementation. IPO-readiness or public-company reporting.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Own the delivery of capital projects across Fluidstack's offices, labs, and manufacturing facilities, from scoping and budget through construction and handover.
Manage the facilities portfolio for a fast-scaling multi-site company, keeping every location operational, safe, and ahead of headcount growth.
Negotiate and manage general contractors, vendors, and landlords for tenant improvements, buildouts, and facility expansions on tight timelines.
Build the capital budgets and plans for facilities projects and hold them, tracking spend against forecast across every active build.
Stand up the facilities standards, systems, and vendor playbooks that let a new site open with the same quality bar as the last.

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've delivered capital projects and facility buildouts end to end, from budget and scope through construction and occupancy.
You've managed facilities for a multi-site company that was growing fast, and kept ahead of it instead of chasing it.
You've negotiated and held general contractors, vendors, and landlords to scope, cost, and schedule.
You build a capital budget and hold it, and you know where the money is across every active project without having to go dig for it.
You've opened new sites or expanded existing ones and set the standards that made the next one easier.
You catch the facility problem, a lease clause, a long-lead item, a code issue, before it becomes a delay or a cost overrun.
Bonus: Manufacturing or lab facilities. Tenant improvement and office buildout at scale. Multi-state or multi-country facilities. Data center or mission-critical environments. EHS and building code compliance.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Force the cross-functional calls: what ships, what slips, and what gets fixed this week.
Build the launch playbook so the second factory launches faster than the first.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've launched manufacturing lines or plants to rate, and hit the curve.
You've run launch readiness across every function without owning any of them.
You make the call in the gray zone and stand behind it.
You've recovered a launch that was going sideways.
You document the playbook while running the play.
Bonus: Greenfield launches. Heavy or modular products. APQP frameworks. Multi-plant rollouts.

You've managed external tax advisors and auditors and held your tax positions under their scrutiny.
You've handled tax across multiple entities and jurisdictions, including the complexity that comes with new states and countries.
You've partnered with accounting and FP&A during a close and delivered the provision and disclosures on the timeline the close demanded.
You explain a technical tax position clearly enough that a non-tax executive can make a decision on it.
