ABOUT KOJO
It's time to build. Whether it's creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.
Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.
About the Role
To meet our season of record-breaking customer growth and AI product innovation, we’re bringing on a Recruiting Lead to own the recruiting function end to end. Primarily in the GTM/G&A realms, entry-level to senior leadership searches will fall under this recruiter’s purview - plus the recruiting operations that keep the machine running behind the scenes.
In a talent landscape that’s ever-evolving and increasingly competitive, a best in class recruiting function is more important than ever. Our hiring methodology isn’t sheer volume, but sincere business partnership and quality of hire. You’ll work with hiring managers as an extension of their team and manage the operations and scalability to maintain best in class hiring amid global expansion. As a Series C company growing at this record-breaking pace, every hire you make has an outsized impact on what Kojo becomes next. There's no more pivotal time to join and help us take Kojo further into the candidate market.
What you'll own:
- Own full-cycle recruiting for Kojo's GTM and G&A searches, from intake to offer, across levels from entry-level to senior leadership.
- Actively source best-in-class candidates, both active and passive, and ensure a white glove candidate experience through consultative, timely communication and market intelligence to properly matchmake between open roles at Kojo.
- Manage, iterate, and continue to run the operating rhythm behind recruiting: profile debriefs and ICP iterations, pipeline reviews, and the reporting cadence that keeps hiring managers and leadership aligned on where every search stands.
- Manage Ashby as Kojo's ATS and single source of truth for headcount budgeting, owning requisition workflows, scorecards, and the data hygiene that makes every pipeline report trustworthy.
- Own compensation benchmarking for open reqs, partnering with our Director of People on real-time GTM and G&A market data instead of last year's numbers.
- Continuously close candidates through every stage in the hiring process to ensure a best in class offer acceptance rate, and manage the offer for every close, partnering directly with Finance on budget and approval before it goes out.
- Diagnose where the recruiting process itself is the bottleneck, time-to-fill, drop-off stage, interviewer load, and fix it before it becomes a leadership question.
- Leverage AI-enabled workflows and internal tools (e.g., Claude, Granola, Notion, LinkedIn Recruiter) to understand market signals at scale by synthesizing feedback, hiring patterns, and requests to identify opportunities before they become obvious.
About You
We’re looking for the recruiter who treats every search as the chance to bring exceptional talent and outsized impact to Kojo. Our ideal Lead Recruiter is a student of the market: constantly building a genuine knowledge base of the ever-changing talent landscape in AI and construction, and knowing where the best talent sits today and what it takes to get them excited about Kojo.
Early stage experience is strongly preferred in this environment. Priorities shift, searches evolve, and there’s a sincere opportunity to scale far beyond the bounds of this job description. We’re looking for someone who wants to build with the company and may be operating as an individual contributor today, but has the curiosity to scale into broader leadership roles as we continue to grow.
What we're looking for:
- Full-cycle ownership: You've run searches start to finish, from intake call to signed offer (and hopefully hiring high-slope talent where those candidates become long-term employees), without needing a coordinator to hold your hand through any stage.
- GTM fluency: You know the difference between what makes a great SDR and what makes a great enterprise AE, and you screen for it accordingly (deep GTM specialization is ideal, not required for every search).
- Early-stage instinct: "You've recruited inside a company early enough in its growth that you were also inventing and iterating upon the process, not just following one.
- Ops discipline: You treat your ATS as a system of record and have demonstrated experience trusting that data and partnering with Operations and Finance stakeholders to allow your data to inform business decisions.
- Independent operation: You have strong judgement to know what’s urgent, what’s important, and where your time and energy should go in order to best serve the business in real time. You have experience pattern matching not only with candidate themes, but consistently upleveling the internal recruiting function from the inside out.
- AI-literate sourcing: You've used AI tools to speed up sourcing or screening, and you can point to a specific moment you overrode the tool's judgment with your own.
- Range across levels: You've closed both an entry-level hire and a senior leadership hire in the same quarter, and you didn't treat either one as the easy one.
What you care about:
- ACCOUNTABILITY: You own the calibration call between a hiring manager who wants faster and a comp band that isn't moving, and you make the trade-off explicit instead of quietly splitting the difference.
- IMPACT: You're running searches at three different levels at once, and you always know which one earns the next hour of your day.
- GROWTH: You read the market data before you defend a comp number, not after a candidate pushes back on it.
WORKING AT KOJO
Salary: Your salary will be dependent upon many factors, including your experience level, skillset, market dynamics and balancing internal equity relative to other Kojo employees. The compensation and benefits information that we provide is based on Kojo’s good-faith estimate as of the date of the job posting and may be modified in the future.
Benefits: This position is also eligible for a new hire equity grant and all US-based full time employees are eligible for our full suite of perks and benefits. For more information about our perks and benefits, check out https://www.usekojo.com/careers https://usekojo.com/careers.
Location: Kojo’s team members work from home 100% of the time across North and South America. If applicable, we’ll identify the travel and/or location-specific requirements of a position in the text above. Otherwise, team members can expect to work business hours congruent with their local time zone and remotely.
Inclusive Workplace: Kojo values diverse perspectives and is committed to building an inclusive workplace. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, citizenship, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. We strongly encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply.
Scam Notice: Please be aware that there are individuals and organizations that may attempt to scam job seekers by offering fraudulent employment opportunities in the name of Kojo. These scams may involve fake job postings, unsolicited emails, or messages claiming to be from our recruiters or hiring managers. Kojo will never ask for any personal account information, such credit card details or bank account numbers, during the recruitment process.

Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.
About the Role
We're looking for a Product Manager to own product strategy and decision-making for Kojo's Field app: the workflow that puts materials in the hands of crews across 600+ leading contractors purchasing over $5B in materials annually.
Field crews are physically building the world around us, and it starts with knowing which materials they need, and when, on the job site. This role owns getting that right: turning a historically software-wary industry into one where crews choose to use Field every day.
This Product Manager for the field team will sit within the larger Procurement product, which is the linchpin connecting AP, Warehouse, Catalog, and Integrations. It's one of Procurement's two swim lanes, alongside Office.
In this role, you’ll report to our Lead Product Manager, continually solving how to make a complex, multi-persona workflow feel intuitive — and where AI can remove the most friction for technology-cautious, change-sensitive users.
What you'll own:
- Own the Field app roadmap end to end, from research through discovery,, prototyping, experimentation, shipping, and iterating across mobile (iOS, Android, tablet) and web.
- Radically simplify core field workflows to strengthen our position as the most user-friendly solution in the market
- Diagnose adoption barriers and time-saving opportunities across the wide range of workflows field users use to request material
- Break down undefined, ambiguous problems into shippable plans.
About You
What we're looking for:
- UX ownership: 2-5+ years of relevant product experience, ideally at a fast-growing startup environment. Our ideal candidate has personally owned the redesign of a workflow for a user who didn't want to change how they work, and you can point to the before and after. This is an especially critical part of the role, specifically amongst a notoriously trust-scarce industry like construction, where adoption has to be earned.
- Mobile fluency: You've shipped iOS, Android, or tablet products and understand the platform-specific tradeoffs a web-only PM misses. This is core to the role, not a preference.
- Independent problem framing: You break down ambitious problems and turn them into actionable plans.
- Multi-persona design: You've designed a single product experience that serves multiple distinct user types without fragmenting into disjointed product workflows.
- Cross-functional influence: You've shipped work that depended on teams you didn't manage, and you know how to move a roadmap without formal authority over it.
- Adaptability under shifting scope: You've kept shipping while the ground moved under a role, priorities reordered, and scope got redrawn mid-quarter.
- AI fluency: You've shipped AI-assisted features, particularly to remove friction
What you care about
- Customer Obsession: You sit with a field crew that's skeptical of new tools and rebuild the flow around how they actually work.
- Impact: You ship the simplest version of a feature that reduces friction in the field, and measure whether behavior changed as a result.
- Accountability: You own the call on what ships next, even when the roadmap underneath you is still being defined.
- Collaboration: You pull in engineering, design, and the sales rep who’s been in the room with the customer before writing a spec to ensure the entire team is working toward the same goal.

Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.
We're looking for an Enterprise SDR who will own outbound pipeline generation into the commercial construction market. You'll be the first voice most prospects hear from Kojo, and in a market this underserved, those conversations aren't hard sells. They're unrealized value introductions to something most contractors didn't know existed. The quality of your outreach, your discovery, and your judgment about who's ready will directly shape how we grow and what we learn about our market.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will include:
- Own outbound prospecting [average is ~100 cold calls/day] into enterprise commercial construction contractors (>$75M in annual construction volume) — identifying the right accounts, mapping the right contacts, and engaging them with a point of view, not a script
- Build qualified pipeline for Account Executives by booking high-conviction discovery meetings with buyers who have a real, specific problem Kojo can solve
- Use the full modern GTM stack, including AI-powered sequencing, enrichment workflows, and call intelligence tools, to prospect smarter and surface better signal, not just higher volume
- Develop, test, and iterate on outbound plays: what messaging lands, what falls flat, and why — then bring those insights back to the sales and marketing teams to sharpen how Kojo goes to market
- Hit and exceed monthly targets for meetings held and Sales-accepted opportunities — and treat your pipeline number like a business metric, not a task list
- Become a genuine expert in commercial construction: the players, the buying dynamics, the pain points, and the moment a contractor realizes they have a problem worth solving
ABOUT YOU
You're early in your sales career but already think like an owner. You're curious about the industry you're selling into, meticulous about your craft, and you see AI and automation as ways to work smarter vs. replacements for the human part of the job. You want to learn what enterprise sales looks like from the inside, and you're drawn to a market that's been underserved for decades. Apply if you're ready to build.
What you've accomplished:
- You've made 50+ cold calls per day in a prior SDR or BDR role, and you have call recordings, connect rates, and meeting conversion numbers to back it up
- You've built or meaningfully refined outbound sequences that outperformed the default template, and you can explain exactly why the changes worked
- You've developed real discovery instincts: you know the difference between a question that surfaces pain and one that just checks a box
- You've received sharp feedback, implemented it within days (not weeks), and watched your numbers reflect it
- You've gotten up to speed on a complex product or unfamiliar industry faster than people expected — and become a credible, knowledgeable voice in it
- Preference for candidates with prior experience in the construction or speciality trades industry
What you care about:
- Customer Obsession: The contractors you're prospecting have real operational problems — you're not just booking meetings, you're figuring out whether Kojo can actually help them before an AE ever gets on a call
- Growth: You treat every "no," every failed sequence, and every piece of feedback as useful data — and you use it to get sharper
- Accountability: You own your pipeline number the way a founder owns their business — with urgency, full context, and a bias toward action over explanation
