ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking our second IT Engineer to join our growing team in San Francisco. Our team laid the foundation for IT at LangChain, and this role is critical to helping us mature and scale that foundation as the company grows. You'll bring deep technical expertise to our fleet management and SaaS administration, with room to shape how we manage our fleet, identity, SaaS stack, and the automation that runs the business. The ideal candidate brings startup experience, thrives in ambiguity, loves a good problem, and is excited to build scalable systems that support our global team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Infrastructure & Automation
- Build and maintain our IT infrastructure and tech stack that scales with LangChain’s rapid growth
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce toil and improve efficiency using scripts, APIs, and workflow tools
- Implement monitoring and documentation practices that enable operational excellence
Client Platform Engineering
- Reimagine how we deploy, configure, and manage our Mac fleet. MDM (Iru) is the foundation, not the entire solution however.
- Design and build a secure, reliable, and maintainable desktop environment that replaces our current patchwork of one-off scripts with version-controlled, testable, and repeatable systems
- Own our approach to custom security controls and application deployment across the fleet, so updates and configuration changes are consistent and easy to roll out at scale
- Build the fleet management systems now so they hold up as headcount, and the fleet, keep growing
Security & Identity Management
- Drive our identity strategy, implementing secure, scalable access controls following the principle of least privilege
- Identify and implement security enhancements across our SaaS stack
- Partner with our Security team to drive improvement of our enterprise security posture
SaaS Administration
- Administer and optimize our growing SaaS stack, managing provisioning, access controls, and lifecycle management
- Become IT's central administrator for LangSmith, our own product, developing deep fluency in its administration surface
- Build automated workflows for LangSmith administration using its API paired with our automation tooling, reducing manual, toil-heavy admin work
- Help IT stay fluent across the internal tools we run and support, including the LLM Gateway. Another LangChain product.
Core IT Operations
- Provide support to employees globally across hardware, software, networking, and IT tools
- Deliver great onboarding experiences for new hires, ensuring they have the right hardware, access, and setup so they can be productive from day one
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5+ years of experience in IT engineering and systems administration
- Deep proficiency with Okta and Okta Workflows
- Fluency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Python, JavaScript, or similar) with demonstrated ability to write production-quality scripts and automation
- Versed in the us of REST APIs, webhooks, and API authentication methods; you should be comfortable reading API documentation and building integrations between systems
- Demonstrated ability to build meaningful automations that reduce manual work and improve IT operations
- Hands-on experience with IaC using Terraform to manage and provision IT infrastructure and applications, and comfort applying changes within an existing Terraform codebase
- Experience using coding agents (e.g. Claude Code) as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow to build and ship automation faster
- Strong experience with a modern tech stack that includes Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Claude, ChatGPT
- Solid understanding of MDM platforms, and ideally experience going beyond baseline MDM with fleet/configuration management tooling to manage a fleet's security and application needs
- Experience administering a large or complex SaaS stack, ideally including internal or AI/LLM-based products
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, switching, wireless, LAN/WAN)
- Annual salary range: $150,000-$170,00 USD
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Actual compensation and offerings will vary based on role, level, and location. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.
BENEFITS
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.
Listed by LangChain for a position based in the United States. Employers on this board attest they are hiring domestically.

About the team
SmithDB is LangChain's internal database team. We're building a storage and query layer purpose-built for AI observability and evaluation. Within six months we went from idea to a production system that offers industry leading performance and scalability for agent observability data. We're a small, fast team of systems engineers tackling genuinely hard problems: storage layout, query execution, compaction, and scaling toward trillions of agent traces. We develop in Rust, run on Kubernetes, and integrate tightly with S3/GCS/Azure Blob. There are no legacy constraints; this is a greenfield system with real production load and ambitious engineering goals.
About the role
We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the SmithDB team. This is not a pure people-management role. You'll write production code, review PRs at the systems level, make architectural calls, and be in the weeds alongside your engineers. At the same time, you'll own team health, hiring, technical roadmap, and coordination with the broader LangSmith platform. The ideal candidate has deep systems or database engineering experience and genuinely prefers to stay technical while growing a team.
What you'll do
- Write and review production Rust code across ingestion, query execution, and storage layers
- Lead architectural decisions on storage format, compaction, indexing, and query planning
- Drive performance investigations using memory and CPU profiling tools; own the path from profiling to shipped fix
- Design and harden the distributed deployment of SmithDB services on Kubernetes (multi-tenant, high-throughput, low-latency)
- Contribute to cloud object store integrations (S3, GCS, Azure Blob) and set the standard for how SmithDB manages data at rest and in flight
- Build and maintain observability for the engine itself: metrics, tracing, debug tooling
- Manage a small but growing team of systems engineers: set goals, run 1:1s, provide technical mentorship, and grow careers
- Own the SmithDB technical roadmap in partnership with LangSmith product and engineering leadership
- Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to the broader organization: you write concise, decision-ready updates
What you'll bring
- 7+ years in systems or database engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or engineering management role
- Production Rust experience — you can write it, review it, and have opinions on how to structure it at scale
- Deep understanding of database or storage engine internals: query execution, storage layouts, indexing, compaction
- Proficiency in systems performance analysis: memory allocators, CPU hotspots, lock contention, async runtimes (Tokio)
- Experience deploying and operating distributed services on Kubernetes in a production, multi-tenant environment
- Familiarity with cloud object storage (S3-compatible APIs, consistency models, cost/performance tradeoffs)
- Proven track record of managing engineers — you can recruit, retain, and level-up a team without losing your technical edge
Nice-to-have:
- Experience building or contributing to columnar storage formats (Parquet, Arrow), OLAP query engines, or time-series stores
- Background in observability infrastructure or tracing pipelines (OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse, Prometheus)
- Experience scaling a system from early-stage to hundreds of billions / trillions of records
Compensation
Salary Range: $240,000-$300,000 USD
Compensation Philosophy:
We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Actual compensation and offerings will vary based on role, level, and location. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
LangChain's platform is increasingly at the center of enterprise AI agent deployments — and a growing share of those deployments are built and delivered by system integrators (SIs). Your job is to make sure the SIs building on LangChain are set up to win: technically capable, commercially aligned, and positioned to grow their LangChain practices.
This isn't a traditional channel role. The best SIs in this space move fast, operate closer to engineering teams than procurement, and care more about building real differentiation than logo badges. You'll need to meet them there.
THE PROBLEMS YOU'LL BE SOLVING
SIs are building AI practices right now — and they're making stack decisions that will compound over the next several years. LangChain has strong product and community traction, but converting that into structured SI partnerships requires someone who can:
- Build relationships with the practitioners doing the actual work (architects, delivery leads, practice heads), not just executive sponsors
- Help SI teams go deeper on LangChain technically — running enablement sessions, connecting them to the right internal resources, and making sure they can actually deliver
- Create and close co-sell motions with SIs on active enterprise opportunities
- Build joint go-to-market programs that make sense for how SIs actually run their business
If you've sold or partnered through SIs before, you know the difference between a partnership on paper and one that drives real pipeline. We want someone who knows how to build the latter.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Build and manage a portfolio of SI partnerships — from global SIs and consultancies to regional & boutique specialists
- Run joint pipeline with SI partners: co-selling on active deals, running QBRs, tracking attribution
- Design and deliver partner enablement: certifications, training, delivery playbooks, and technical workshops
- Work with our solutions engineering and product teams to get partners unblocked on technical questions
- Represent partner perspective internally — surfacing what SIs need in terms of product capabilities, support, and commercial terms
- Develop co-marketing and thought leadership programs with key partners
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-haves:
- 10+ years in alliance management, partner sales, or business development — with direct experience working with SIs, GSIs, or consultancies
- Genuine technical fluency in AI or developer tooling. You don't need to write production code, but you need to credibly discuss LLMs, agent architectures, and developer workflows
- Track record of building SI partnerships, from the ground up, that drove measurable pipeline, not just signed agreements
- Ability to manage relationships across multiple levels simultaneously — from engineers to practice heads to C-suite
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience at a developer tools or AI/ML infrastructure company
- Existing relationships at major SIs or management consultancies with active AI practices
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or LangSmith — you've built with it, seen it deployed, or worked with teams using it
LangChain is the open-source framework most teams reach for when they're building serious AI applications. We're a small team moving quickly, and this role has a real chance to shape how the SI ecosystem builds on top of what we're building. If that sounds like the right kind of problem, we'd like to talk.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Annual salary range: $220,000-$280,000
Compensation Philosophy:

BENEFITS
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Security team at LangChain treats compliance as a business enabler, not a checkbox. We move fast, build customer trust across regulated industries, and are actively rethinking what modern security compliance looks like at an AI-native company. We are a small team that operates nothing like a traditional compliance function, still deep in the work of building controls, implementing frameworks, and pushing the business forward on security.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll play a central role in building and scaling LangChain's privacy compliance program, developing the processes, technical controls, and automation that back our commitments to customers, partners, and regulators. You'll maintain and grow our SOC 2, ISO 27001, and privacy programs while taking primary ownership of our privacy framework across multiple cloud environments, deployment models, and geographies. We are looking to hire in-person in SF or NY.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and automate our compliance operations layer, including evidence pipelines, control monitoring, and agentic systems for always-on visibility into our compliance posture.
- Work directly with Engineering to embed security and privacy controls into our products, including deletion pipelines, PII detection, access audit logging, and fine-grained data access controls.
- Maintain and scale our certification and audit programs across SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and others. Drive audit readiness, identify overlapping requirements, and reuse evidence across frameworks to continuously strengthen our security story.
- Partner with Legal on security and privacy contract execution, covering DPAs, BAAs, security addenda, and vendor terms. Build the templates, playbooks, and review processes that enable fast, reliable execution in regulated verticals and unblock enterprise sales.
- Monitor adherence to security and privacy contractual obligations across all signed agreements, building the operational workflows and tracking mechanisms to stay on top of commitments as our customer base grows.
- Contribute to LangChain's customer trust program — security questionnaire responses, due-diligence reviews, and the trust documentation and whitepapers that give regulated-industry customers confidence in our security posture.
- Support vendor privacy risk assessments during onboarding and renewals.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5+ years in privacy, GRC, or security compliance, ideally with time at a Big 4 or advisory firm, or in-house at a high-growth tech company.
- Hands-on operational experience with privacy regulations and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2), including controls mapping, audit support, and day-to-day program operations.
- Experience with DPAs and BAAs: reviewing, negotiating, or operationalizing them in a commercial context.
- Technical fluency: comfortable reading code, understanding data flows, validating that controls work as described, and collaborating directly with engineering teams.
- Exceptional writer. You'll draft policies, respond to security questionnaires, and translate complex requirements into clear guidance for audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
NICE TO HAVE
- Background in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, government) or working directly with regulated-industry customers.
- Experience working across multi-cloud deployment environments.

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous.
LangChain is scaling fast. Our People function is lean by design and high-leverage by necessity. We don't run People Ops the way most companies do. We build operational systems that compound, automate the sludge, and keep the team focused on work that actually moves the company forward.
We're looking for a Head of People Operations to own the People Ops function end-to-end. This is the person who architects and runs the infrastructure every employee relies on: compliance, HRIS, benefits, leave programs, global employment, policy, and the automations that make all of it work without constant manual intervention.
You'll report to the VP of People. You'll have real scope and real authority. As we scale, you'll build a small team of ops coordinators under you. What you won't have is a 20-person HR function to route through. This is a build role.
LOCATION/CITY:
San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; open to remote
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own People Ops end-to-end. You are the accountable operator for HRIS integrity, benefits administration, leave and accommodations management, compliance, and onboarding and offboarding programs. The function runs because you built it to.
- Build and maintain LangChain's compliance layer. US multi-state requirements, global employment law, contractor vs. FTE classification, immigration case coordination, and audit readiness across I-9, ERISA Wrap, and Flex Plan. You're the internal expert and the escalation point, and you partner with outside employment counsel when it calls for it.
- Own Rippling as the system of record. Workflow configuration, data integrity, onboarding and offboarding automation, payroll coordination. You don't just use the tool — you build it.
- Lead global employment operations. Manage EoR provider relationships, coordinate international contractor agreements, and build scalable infrastructure for hiring across geographies including the US, UK, EU, and beyond. You understand the compliance nuance across regions, not just one.
- Architect and govern People policies. Own the employee handbook, leave frameworks (medical, parental, personal), STD/LTD administration, outside activity and IP-adjacent policies, and the compliance governance behind them. You'll own the mechanics and logistics of our benefits programs long-term, including STD/LTD setup and ongoing vendor management.
- Build People Ops automations and workflows. You've shipped automations yourself. You have opinions on what should be automated in the People function. You'll define the roadmap, build where you can, and partner with Talent Ops on execution where scopes intersect.
- Own employee relations and accommodations. Handle ER matters with appropriate confidentiality, consistency, and documentation. Own the accommodations process end-to-end. You know when to resolve internally, when to escalate, and when to loop in counsel.
- Contribute to People data and reporting. Own headcount data integrity in Rippling and contribute to the People analytics layer: turnover reporting, onboarding metrics, and the operational data that informs People strategy.
- Evaluate and govern AI tools used in People Ops. As we deploy AI-assisted workflows across the function — from onboarding automation to compliance tooling — you'll be the operational owner who assesses accuracy, data handling, fairness, and auditability. You bring a thoughtful lens to where AI adds leverage and where human judgment is non-negotiable.
- Support SOC2 and audit readiness. Serve as the People Ops owner for SOC2 and related compliance audits — documenting people-related controls, ensuring they're tested, and maintaining readiness as we scale.
- Build a small team as we grow. You may hire 1-2 People Ops coordinators (FTE or contractor) over time. You know how to give people the torch and get out of their way.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years in People Ops or HR Operations, with meaningful time owning a People Ops function at a high-growth technology company through a significant scale-up phase
- Deep, hands-on Rippling experience — workflow config, data integrity, reporting, onboarding flows. Not "familiar with it"
- Global employment experience across multiple regions — EoR coordination (Rippling Global, Multiplier, Remote, Deel, or similar), international contractor structuring, and cross-border compliance across US, UK, EU, APAC, or LATAM
- Built automations and workflows yourself — you've shipped something using Zapier, Make, or an LLM-assisted workflow. You don't just have ideas; you have receipts
- Strong working knowledge of California employment law and multi-state compliance, including leave administration, accommodations, and contractor classification
- Proven track record building compliance and policy infrastructure from near-zero, including leave frameworks, employment policies, and handbook governance
- Benefits administration and vendor management experience — brokers, carriers, EoR providers, background check vendors, and similar
- Comfort operating at multiple altitudes — you can advise the VP of People on policy architecture in the morning and fix a broken Rippling workflow in the afternoon
- High ownership orientation — you treat the function like it's yours, because it is
- AI tool fluency — you actively use AI tools in your work, have an opinion on where they add leverage in People Ops, and bring appropriate judgment to their governance
Strong signal:
- Experience at a high-growth AI or developer tools company
- Have used or experimented with LangChain, LangSmith, or LangGraph
- Have an opinion on what an AI-native People Ops function looks like — and have started building one
- Experience standing up STD/LTD, 401(k) match, or similar benefits programs from scratch
- Direct experience engaging outside employment counsel on policy or ER matters
- SOC2 or similar compliance audit experience on the People side
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our first Federal Partner Alliances Lead for the US, you will own the systems integrator and consulting partner ecosystem across the US Federal market. This is a high-leverage, senior individual contributor role where you will build and drive our federal partner strategy from the ground up — focused primarily on establishing deep, revenue-generating relationships with the major Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs) and a curated set of specialized boutique partners.
You are an operator at heart who loves the ambiguity of a fast-growing startup. You understand how developer tools and enterprise AI stacks fit together within the unique compliance and regulatory requirements of the federal space, and you have a track record of driving sourced and influenced revenue through partner channels without needing a heavy management playbook to guide you. This role sits within our GTM organization and will work closely with our field sellers, customer engineering teams, and product leaders to embed LangChain into the delivery practices and solution portfolios of the partners who win and execute the biggest federal AI programs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own FSI Relationships: Build and lead LangChain's strategic partnerships with the major federal primes — including Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, Accenture Federal, and similar large-scale integrators. Drive structured engagement across their AI/ML practices, solution architects, and business development teams to embed LangChain into active and upcoming program pursuits.
- Develop Boutique and Specialized Partners: Identify and activate a curated set of smaller, mission-focused federal consultancies and AI-native partners that are embedded in specific agency relationships or cleared environments where the primes don't reach.
- Build Joint Go-to-Market Motions: Work with FSI partners to co-develop solution offerings, reference architectures, and proposal language that positions LangChain as the preferred agentic AI framework for federal program delivery.
- Drive Pipeline Through Partners: Own the partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, working hand-in-hand with LangChain's field sales team to ensure FSI relationships translate into real opportunities and closed revenue.
- Support Hyperscaler Relationships Selectively: Maintain a lightweight working relationship with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and GCP Public Sector teams, primarily to support event sponsorships, joint visibility opportunities, and marketplace presence — without making this a primary focus of the role.
- Execute Co-Marketing Motions: Partner with marketing to show up effectively at key federal industry events (AFCEA, AWS Summit DC, industry days) and develop technical content and co-branded materials that reinforce LangChain's credibility with FSI and agency audiences.
- Build the Playbook: Create the operational blueprint for how LangChain scales federal partnerships — from initial relationship mapping and partner tiering to joint pipeline tracking and executive engagement cadences.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in federal partner management, business development, or alliance roles, with a strong track record of building and monetizing relationships with major FSIs and federal primes. Direct experience working within or alongside Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, or similar organizations is a significant plus.
- FSI Network: A genuine, pre-existing network within the business development, AI/ML practice, and solutions architecture communities at the major federal primes. You should be able to get meetings quickly and have credibility with the people who shape program pursuit decisions.
- Technical Foundation: Enough technical fluency to speak credibly with enterprise architects and engineering leads in federal environments. You don't need to write code, but you must understand how LLMs, agentic frameworks, and developer tooling operate within federal infrastructure, including FedRAMP, IL4/IL5, and zero-trust requirements.
- Startup Agility: Proven ability to navigate a high-growth environment with limited structure. You are comfortable building the playbook as you run it, executing independently with minimal supervision in the often long-cycle federal sales environment.
- Operational Rigor: Strong pipeline management skills. You track partner activity with clean CRM hygiene, maintain accurate opportunity attribution, and communicate clearly and consistently to internal stakeholders.
- Strong Communication & Influence: Equally comfortable writing sharp internal strategy docs as you are presenting to senior BD and practice leaders at major federal integrators.
NICE TO HAVE'S
- Active security clearance (Secret or higher) or existing clearance eligibility.
- Prior experience at an open-source, developer tools, or infrastructure software company bringing a new technology into the federal FSI ecosystem.
- Familiarity with federal procurement vehicles (GSA Schedule, OTAs, BPAs) and how primes use them to structure program delivery.
- Familiarity with the modern LLM orchestration stack, federal data environments, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC).
