ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
LangChain has strong technical credibility, a large developer community, and a lot worth saying. What we need now is someone to make sure we're saying it — consistently, strategically, and in ways that land.
We're looking for a Head of Narratives to own how LangChain shows up in the world across communications, brand, social, and design. This is a role for someone who thinks like a media company operator: always-on publishing, sharp editorial judgment, a clear point of view on the themes that matter, and a relentless focus on getting great narratives in front of the right people at the right time.
You'll lead an existing team of rockstars across brand, social, and design — each with deep expertise. Your job is to give the team a shared narrative direction, keep the output sharp and consistent, and make sure LangChain is building an audience that wants to hear from us.
This is a player-coach role. You'll set the direction but you'll also be in the work — shaping editorial, giving creative feedback, and reviewing and writing. The right person is opinionated about what good looks like and hands-on enough to help get there.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Communications
- Define the themes and narratives LangChain is hitting. Spearhead the direction on what LangChain should be known for and translate that into a rolling communications strategy the whole team is working from. This is the backbone of everything else.
- Own press and media relations. Kickstart our comms efforts, building and managing relationships with key journalists and outlets, drive proactive press coverage, and act as the point of contact for inbound media inquiries.
- Shape executive visibility and thought leadership. Identify the moments, platforms, and formats where LangChain's leaders should have a voice, and help them show up with a clear, consistent point of view.
- Lead announcement strategy. Plan and execute communications around major launches, funding, partnerships, and company milestones, working cross-functionally to make sure the story lands with the right audiences at the right time.
- Set and uphold the communications standard. Define LangChain's voice in the outside world and the quality bar for anything that goes out under its name.
Brand
- Shape brand direction in close partnership with the brand lead. The brand lead focuses on brand voice, visual identity, and standards. You'll work closely together to align on where the brand is headed, what it stands for, and how it shows up — with narrative and brand informing each other rather than operating separately.
- Stay close to major brand moments. Bring a point of view on concept and messaging for out-of-home, awareness campaigns, and other brand initiatives. Work with the brand lead to make sure what we're saying and how we're showing up are pulling in the same direction.
- Make sure brand and narrative feel like one thing. The brand should feel like a natural extension of the editorial point of view, and vice versa.
Social & Rich Media
- Partner with the social lead on strategy, themes, and goals. The social lead focuses on growing LangChain's social channels and ways to amplify our content and messaging. Work together to ensure social is amplifying the themes and narratives the broader team is driving.
- Shape LangChain's rich media approach together. Work with the social lead to develop a shared point of view on how video, audio, and other formats fit into the content mix — where they build audience, where they deepen credibility, and how to build the right execution muscle over time.
- Track what's working, what's not, and use it to sharpen direction. Stay close to performance across content, comms, brand, and social to have a better sense on where to focus, what narratives are resonating, and where to double down.
Brand Design
- Lead the creative direction for brand design in close partnership with our brand designer. Own the visual vision for how LangChain looks and feels — and work day-to-day with our brand designer to translate that into execution across campaigns, content, comms, social, and brand moments.
- Be a strong creative partner. Have a real point of view on what looks right, what earns trust with a technical audience, and where the work needs to go further. Give clear direction and help the designer do their best work.
- Keep visual identity consistent across every channel. A media company looks like itself everywhere it shows up. Make sure LangChain does too.
Team Leadership
- Lead by being in it. Develop your team by being close to the work — giving useful feedback, shaping output, and raising the bar through example.
- Build the operating rhythm. Establish the rituals and shared workflows — editorial planning, cross-functional reviews, publishing cadences — that help brand, social, comms, and design operate as a unit.
- Connect narrative to the rest of the business. Translate what marketing, sales, product, and leadership need into a narrative strategy your team can execute — and keep everyone aligned as priorities shift.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Ability to work like a media company operator. You think in publishing cadences, audience development, and narrative arcs — not just campaigns. You know what it takes to build an always-on narrative engine and keep it running at a high standard.
- Player-coach. You've led creative, comms, or content teams and know how to develop people — but you stay close to the work and make it better by being in it.
- Strong narrative instincts. You have a clear point of view on what makes a brand story work and can translate that into real direction across comms, brand, social, and design.
- Analytically grounded. You track what's working, form a view on why, and use that to make better decisions about where to focus. You connect creative work to business outcomes.
- Developer audience instincts. You understand what earns trust with technical audiences and can orient a creative team around that bar.
- Collaborative and clear. You work well with strong practitioners who own their domains — building alignment without stepping on what they own.
Nice to Have
- Experience leading narrative, brand, or comms teams at a developer-focused company
- Background in technical or developer marketing
- Familiarity with the AI/ML ecosystem and the tools developers use to build
- Track record running brand campaigns, including out-of-home or awareness programs

ABOUT THE TEAM
This team works directly with companies building and running AI agents in production, helping turn ideas and prototypes into systems teams can rely on.
This is a hands-on, highly technical team that partners closely with customer engineers across the full lifecycle, from pre-sales evaluations to post-deployment advisory work. The focus is on achieving the technical win, co-designing agent architectures, and helping customers operate agents reliably at scale using the LangChain suite.
Sales Engineers sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market, shaping how LangChain is adopted in the field and feeding real-world insights back into the platform.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll work on some of the hardest problems in applied AI alongside customers. This is not demos or research, but helping teams build systems they rely on in production. The feedback loop is fast, the impact is visible, and your work directly shapes how AI agents are built in the real world.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams
- Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs, answering deep technical questions, and guiding evaluations
- Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications such as conversational agents, research agents, and multi-step workflows
- Advise customers post-sale on architecture, best practices, and roadmap-level decisions
- Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences
- Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns, cookbooks, and example code that scale across customers
- Occasionally contribute code upstream when it meaningfully improves customer outcomes
- This role requires 40% travel to customer sites to support deployment, onboarding, and ongoing technical engagement
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 3+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering), ideally in a startup or scale-up
- Strong Python, JavaScript and systems fundamentals
- Have designed agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls, including multi-step workflows, orchestration, and failure handling
- Are comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and technical evaluations
- Can explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developer audiences
- Take responsibility for outcomes, not just recommendations
- Have a bias toward action and enjoy figuring things out as you go
- Are excited about operating AI agents in production, not just building demos
NICE TO HAVE’S:
- You’ve deployed AI agents in production, especially using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks
- Worked with LLM evaluation, observability, or guardrails
- Have experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), containers, and basic Kubernetes concepts
- Have shipped and operated production software and are comfortable owning systems under real-world constraints
COMPENSATION
Annual OTE range: $185,000–$315,000 USD

ABOUT THE TEAM
The LangChain Federal team works directly with U.S. Government customers — including the Department of Defense (DoD), Civilian Agencies, and the Intelligence Community (IC) — who are building and operating AI agents in mission-critical environments. We partner closely with government program managers, technical leads, and system integrators across the full lifecycle, from pre-award shaping and evaluations through post-deployment expansion. We are building the federal go-to-market motion from the ground up, and every team member has a direct hand in shaping how LangChain is adopted across the federal landscape.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Federal Enterprise Account Executive to join our growing GTM team and lead LangChain's expansion into U.S. federal agencies. In this role, you'll own the full sales cycle — helping technical teams at DoD, Civilian, and IC agencies discover, evaluate, and adopt LangChain's products. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, solutions engineering, and professional services to shape how AI agent infrastructure gets adopted across government. If you're a relationship-driven seller who understands the federal landscape and wants to be part of building a go-to-market motion from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own and manage the full federal sales cycle, from lead stage to close with a strong bias for follow-up and follow-through
- Act as a trusted advisor to federal prospects and customers — including DoD, Civilian Agencies, and IC — learning their mission requirements and demonstrating how LangChain's products solve real problems
- Drive proof-of-concept efforts, working with solutions engineers and product experts to demonstrate tangible value in government environments
- Navigate federal procurement mechanisms — GWACs, IDIQs, OTAs, BPAs, and direct agency contracts — to close complex, multi-stakeholder deals with speed and precision
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior agency decision-makers, program managers, and contracting officers, as well as system integrator partners (e.g., Booz Allen, SAIC, Leidos) and resellers (e.g., Carahsoft) who help drive and support deal flow
- Stay on top of the federal AI landscape — agency priorities, executive orders, budget cycles, and competitor activity — to educate customers and shape LangChain's federal strategy
- Build long-term customer relationships and support post-sale success in partnership with our Deployed Engineering and support teams
- Negotiate pricing and deal terms and work with legal to redline contracts
- Bring federal customer insights back to product and engineering teams to inform the roadmap and improve the user experience
- Help define and iterate on our federal sales playbook — your input will help shape how we go to market in this segment
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- You have 7+ years of experience selling complex software to enterprise or federal customers, with at least 3+ years focused on U.S. federal accounts (DoD, Civilian, and/or IC)
- You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding federal revenue targets — ideally $2M+ ARR annually
- You have deep familiarity with federal procurement: GWACs, IDIQs, OTAs, BPAs, and direct agency contract vehicles
- You can translate complex technical concepts — LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks, APIs — into mission-aligned value for both technical and non-technical government buyers
- You have established relationships across federal agencies and the system integrator ecosystem
- Technical acumen with the ability to establish credibility with technical decision-makers at agencies
- You thrive in fast-paced start-up environments and are energized by impact — you want to help build the federal playbook, not just follow one
- Driven and solutions-oriented; you know how to navigate procurement roadblocks and keep complex deals moving forward
- Passionate about generative AI and excited to help federal customers navigate a rapidly evolving technology landscape
- You exemplify our operating principles:
- You are motivated to build something great: you hold a high bar for quality, craft, and impact in every customer interaction and internal deliverable
- You embrace hot takes: you bring informed opinions about the federal AI market, challenge assumptions, and engage in constructive debate with your team
- You operate with maximum agency: you take ownership of your territory, move deals forward independently, and help cross-functional partners stay unblocked
- You run to the roar: you lean into the complexity of government procurement, long deal cycles, and ambiguous buying processes — and find a way through
NICE TO HAVE
- Active or prior U.S. security clearance (Secret, TS/SCI)
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, or similar AI orchestration and observability tools
- Experience with FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels (IL2–IL6), or other federal compliance and authorization frameworks
- Existing relationships with federal-focused system integrators and resellers (e.g., Booz Allen, SAIC, Leidos, Carahsoft)
- Prior experience building a federal GTM motion at an early-stage or growth-stage company

ABOUT US
At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Deployed Engineering team works directly with companies building and running AI agents in production, helping turn ideas and prototypes into systems teams can rely on.
Deployed Engineers sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market, shaping how LangChain is adopted in the field and feeding real-world insights back into the platform.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Deployed Engineer…You’ll work on some of the hardest problems in applied AI — not demos, not research, but systems that real teams depend on in production. The feedback loop is fast, the impact is visible, and the work you do directly shapes how AI agents are built in the real world.
This will be a hybrid in office role in Chicago, IL.
- Travel to customers up to 40% of the time
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 6+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering), ideally in a startup or scale-up
- Strong Python, JavaScript and systems fundamentals
- Have designed agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls, including multi-step workflows, orchestration, and failure handling
- Are comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and technical evaluations
- Can explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developer audiences
- Take responsibility for outcomes, not just recommendations
- Have a bias toward action and enjoy figuring things out as you go
- Are excited about operating AI agents in production, not just building demos
